I told you it's Lord and every how you have quite a few titles that you've tried to get us to uncle, father, brother. There you go, and that vores you. Here is father caulre, his brother Luke, Luke CA, there luke. Welcome to the PODCAST. Thanks for having me, thanks for joining us, and of course, we got back this week Taylor. He's not behind the glass. We're in a different studio for those watching on facebook live, but we got Taylor and rum with us. Dick, did you again, deep ditch and ditched? You know it's becoming a one man show with his guests. I know, right, but you know, I was telling these guys we had wreck we had. We had rick last week, so we were relying on the producer bench and then I had a guest last week comment. So we're digging into the benches here to try to get some designated hitters and it's been gone well, though not not unlike the SEAGOS team and exactly the point that I made last year. We learned how to deal with, not deal with, but we learned how to work with our benches and we all we got, we all we need. Well, very nice, very nice. All right. So, like I said, we got a lot to get into today. First I think we're going to just do a quick post mortem at the Tampa Bay game. It's Saturday already. Everybody's already talked about it, I'm sure, but let me get your impression. Is it? Is it the sky is falling? Chicken little like we've seen some people they're not going to go sixteen to know. But is it a game that you expected in the loose? No, I didn't. I was a little worried about it, especially with the performance that Taba put up against the saints. I mean you see it all the time, quarterbacks that get hot, specially in September. Mcnabb was known for having the Best Septembers of all time. He was the MVP of I think, for Septembers in a row. But it was a little disappointing and it just didn't feel I think the thing that upset me the most it's just even the first two weeks it just hasn't felt like the old team. Like it. It felt like the eagles from like, you know, four years ago, like when they would give up, you know, the big play at the beginning and it's like all right, that's how I'm going to start the game. So a little discouraging. The skuy's not falling, especially with a you know, Carson coming back, which to know, we'll talk about, but now that the guy's fall. But it was disappointed because they should have won that game. That missfield go by Allett was huge and it's just they couldn't seem to get it. Could be a more flow. Yeah, there's no rhythm. They played well at times, but you know, there's it was just very it was a very annoying loss. It was almost like like a Tyson fight back in the day. You expected us to come out when but they got that first shot in on us. That kind of just took the wind out of them. They never seemed to come back from that and the fact that it was to Shawn. He just kills us. I think he has at least a touchdown and every game he's coming played against the aisles, five and one against us. Yeah, so it just it kind of knocked the window of the sales a little bit and they didn't seem to get into a groove and JII getting hurt didn't help. They had to keep mixing up the running backs. It seemed almost like a true committee last week with the splits between GIE and Corey and small wood. So it just it didn't feel like it...

...just didn't feel like the EAGELS game when, yeah, kept hoping they started to come back and could they sneak it out at the end? But I don't think Tampa Bay is we did a segment pretenders and contenders. I thought Tapa Base Win against the saints was more reflection of the saints defense. It's Patrick's NFL MV feels now that it's Patrick Fits. Magic is out there just lighting people up. I didn't think he was going to do that. I thought our defensive line was going to be able to get to him a little bit more. They looked guessed. They just didn't seem to be getting the pressure that I expected the with. And again it was the perfect storm. Being in Tampa. was over a hundred degrees during the game, which is always tough to play, no matter who you are home and you could see, yeah, they were spry, maybe in the beginning, but it just they couldn't get enough pressure on them and our quarterbacks just didn't get the job done, especially mills. You know, we'll have one of these games who is just allergic to any kind of double move. I've never seen a quarterback or a quarterback worse at a double move than him. It's really unbelievable that didn't cost us more games last year. So I don't know why every route isn't just a hitching go, because he bites every single if you're the offensive coordinator for the posing team, just do everything like three verticals, hitching go. The the opening cuts down. Now Malcolm's even come out and said that that was it. Well, he should have been over there, he should have been covering over that side once exactly, and it's not got passed and I didn't even give blaming for that one. But it was that third down conversion that they had. That basically see what the game where. You can see not only does he get beat on double moves, but he can just get bullied. Yeah, at the line. That's always been our concern. No, ultimately we're the hope is that it's going to be Darby and Sidney Jones. Yeah, you know, going forward, but at the same time they're just a frustrating loss all around, especially with their second like their secondary is not good at all, and we didn't take advantage of it and we couldn't really think of management because Mike Walls got hurt in the first play of the game and that's under another topic we have to get into. So again, it was just they were up against a lot, but we're just we've gotten so used to seeing them pull through those games. You know, even the week one against the Falcons, they found a way to win and there was a rare moment where they just couldn't find a way to win. Lannery on the the facebook live last week he came, he churned in and said he thought that nick was going to have like three hundred ninety five yards and three touchdowns. Well, he puts all down in Tab I can see why he was probably going for that, but he threw the ball was almost fifty times last week. I don't know. Nick shouldn't be doing that. He's not that type of quarterback where you need to get him a lot of volume. And I think that again was a reflection of a jiy getting hurt and it was in. Then Jen's being behind. Jason Peters going down didn't help either. So it was just again there were a lot of things against it to and I'm I'm blind. Sorry, tell I can't see your messes. There all right. Yet the third owt efficiency last week was not good either. Now they were like one hundred forty three. Not Want that. They were thirty percent. And there third down too, efficiency last week, which is something that I think Doug is pride is himself on, especially the fourth down of Egency. But maybe should was just an off game. It wasn't, and Doug Bray it wasn't his best playing calling either or decision making. So whatever, with a lost tweet to last year that she's remember that game. That was a gain where more than this whatever, he was like, Oh, you know, this team's not ready for prime time. This teams just not ready and then you know. So there's no it takes about three weeks for the NFL to sort itself out. So there's no reason to jump off yet. But tomorrow is a very big game. That must win yet, but it's pretty close. Yeah, not in must win yet. Should be an easy win. So let's see. The cults coming into town. Not a good team. Still Luck his looked like he can get back to where he was. He's not there yet. Carson coming back big bump for...

...these guys. What's your expectation for cars and I? He's been practicing. He has been going full speed. Is it going to be difficult, you think, for the receivers, especially now that he's going to have another receiver, a receiver is familiar with, but another receiver in the team into it the Matthews. Are these receivers going to have to adjust to now? Carson has has some mustard on the ball versus nick, who kind of more of a placement guy. He's got a nice float into your hands. How much is the team going to need to adjust to Carson, and how ready do you think Carson is? He is he going to need a few games too, like the rest of the NFL, to really knock the rust off and be prepared to get back to mvp ways that he was in last season. Kay. Well, so it's a Harmato. What do you think? Well, that, yeah, I mean there's no getting around I'm mean, it's coming back from so long being off. I mean that's he's gonna have rust, you know, rust on them there. So I think it's just a matter of if. I mean, Carson seems like enough of a strong will person that he would bounce back pretty quick. Hopefully you can be within the game. You know, you have a couple rough players and then it's kind of finds his groove again. But I mean it could be the game. I think Carson's good enough though, that he could, you know, even if he's not as best, we can still he can still be, you know, making the plays that we need him to. Well, like you're saying, with the receivers and everything, the only thing kind of you know, we're going to have. He's probably gonna have to scramble more than normal because he's doesn't really have a lot of options. Now hopefully matthews can step up to you know, I know he's just coming back and kind of getting up to speed, but you know, hopefully they can work something now, but yeah, I think there's there's no way getting around him being a little rough to start. But you know, I think it's going to be a big proving point to as far as for him being a franchise is. All right, you came at off of an injury. How I going to play coming back? Are you know it's going to be this whole rough and tumble thing or you know? So it's going to be that interest game just for that it's nail. Not even so much of the game, just seeing what Carson does after an injury and what to expect in the future. Yeah, I've been saying the whole off season that if he's healthy, I want to him in there. That said, he's coming back. I every time he scrambles, every time he takes it hit, I'm gonna get up, get up, get up, you okay, all right, it's gonna take and I think most of Philadelphia's probably can feel that way that first is just going to be like all right, here it is, okay, he's okay, he's get up, bounce up, because we did that before, even when before he got hurt. It was like he'd take some hits and you're like, oh no, and then he pop back up and was fine. So now it's probably even more son Owt's. We're kind of that feeling again to be like Oh God, like because you got used to it at some point. You back. All right, he's going down and you can take a hit. Now after that's like well, we know he's not indestructible, so everything's going to be a little kind of have a kind of tight fist yes, after hit, a little tense. And this will be a big test for Doug as well, because he's not going to have any of his key backs. I mean we're basically he could be relying on one doll, small wood and Josh Adams, who had everybody loves Josh Adams because he's a local kid. But I mean it's going to be very tempting for Doug to abandon that. And you can see even last week, when he's been nicks stone the ball fifty times, Doug still has that Andy Reid itch. Yeah, soul, just start throwing. So it's going to be, in my opinion, a bigger test of Doug. I mean, if he's he will definitely be rusty. He has to be the NFL. You can't just take a year off and come back and be perfect. But I think he'll be more surprising the agile than people expect because he did Rehab really well. They said in practice, which is no practice, that his ball has a lot of Zipall it, that he's actually throwing harder. So I think he's definitely going to air it out, but o'll be in to see if he had, if he's tenative at all when he scrambles. WHO's the guy he's going to be airing it out to, though, and that's the issue now Nelson. Nelson's going to move to the outside, which I'm not sure if I liked that. He was very productive in the slot last year. Yeah, and the year before that when he was on the outside, you saw he struck with it. Now maybe that's just growing pains. He's been better. They say his hands are better, so maybe moving the outside isn't going to impact him that much. We we've never seen him play the outside of confidence. This would be the first time we've seen it, so it could be a pleasant surprise. But I do think. Do Think Jordan Matthews, I know...

...be talking my fantasy. I do think it'll be getting a majority of the looks. So it will be really interesting to see because I know Carson wants him on this team. I know he was he really you know, it's hard. We forget about it. You know, that's what happens when you want a super bowl. But I mean he was he was upset when he was traded to Buffalo. He was not happy. So He's actually going to look to get him involved. So we'll say it's at least they're not playing, you know, the rant if they're playing the rams defense and I'd be like, Oh, this is going to be, you know, a pretty rough I would be kind of cool going back against the team that heard him and set him out. But you know, the colts, I think is a nice little easy test to come back in. We'll get that opportunity against the Rahams again later in the season that we will hopefully everybody's healthy. Yes, they went again early in turn the colisee and green again, and that's what this is. All it has been about, is can they survived the first four weeks without, you know what, Carson and I'll Shawan, but eventually they're all going to be back. But you know, you've seen again. Well, you know, just gotta get by and if you don't get by, you got one and four. That's a tough Mam hold to climb out of. I don't think they'll go one and four with that. I mean that's tough to turn that around. So well, should say this is he that's why I gat it's just if they can come out to one and he looks okay. I think. I really think. They're said the division is not good. Now. Now I think going into the season, looking at the Games leading up to the Vikings game, I was looking at the thing, maybe three and one and the one loss probably would have been that Atlanta game if they were going to lose one of those first four games as it got close through the season. I like them, Atlanta. I and I still think that Vikings game here is going to be tough, even though of course when we back a couple games, that's going to be very'll see if al Shan's back or not, but I just I think that game back here home, I don't know why, but I just don't feel good about that game right now. We'll see. You get closer. What I want, I did last week ill I want to do for this week, is I just go kind of through the positions and then and get your confidence level on our position versus their position, to kind of figure out where you're going to land in this game and to get get your prediction at the end. So first let's look at the offensive line. Who Do you think has the edge and the offensive lines? If Peterson's back, it's the eges have the best offensive line when they're all healthy. So even with Peters out, there's I still think that they have the edge. Yeah, I mean I mean by ties, always a bit of a you never know, but yeah, I mean not the otherwise, I mean the rest of line. saw so that's kind of the one where you you kind of get uneasy out. But I mean otherwise, I mean he's proved before that he can, you know, dose in the Super Bowl, so he can step up to the task. Or who knows, maybe it's just got, you know, its cobwebs or so there s something jitters. He's got to get out of a system, but we know we can do it, so beavit say otherwise, besides that, and that's not too crazy of a week link. So otherwise pretty good. He's never done well coming into a game, but when he's when he's had to start and prepare the week. He's a yeah, which is the true for a lot of people. Buddy, he's at he's a very different very different tackle. When he could prepare, you ca can see he got stronger and stronger each week. Last year, you know, when Peters went down, there was a couple weeks where they weren't getting the job done and then all of a sudden they just went off. Yeah, we were thinking, I W who's out there that we can bring in the two because Vita is just not cutting him. But May it have you got the playoff round and he did. Like he say, when you have that mindset that you're the starter, you're coming in straight from beginning and not off the sideline after half a game. You know, I think it definitely helps you prepare better. Absolutely colts have a couple rookie offensive Lineman, at least at least one. They got the kid from Notre Dame Nelson. They've been giving up like ninety yards. are less than ninety yards of game they've been rushing for. So it's a young offensive line and I think it's easy to say our line probably one of the best in the league. With or without Peters, but definitely better than the cult. It's not really a question. They're all right. So that's eagles. The running backs. Now that's going to be interesting because it sounds like Clement's going to play, even though he's a little...

...banged up. But, like you said, we might see a lot of small wood. I don't know if Adams dresses. Probably if I definitely think he's dressing, they're gonna. I mean, that would be their three backs. And then the colts have a similar scenario. Marlon mack was bad hanged up. He played last week but I don't think he played a lot. And then they have to kind of unproven guys back there a rookie and nine minds and then Jordan Wilkins. So they're running game isn't blowing anybody way either. I think it's a toss up. I mean, I don't think I wouldn't. I don't end they any either. One of I wouldn't say. Well, I'd rather have the colts running back today. So mean more than MAC can have an explosive game from time to time, but I mean, other than that, I think it's the wash. I really do. Yeah, yeah, I agree. That's a pick. So then next position, the wide receivers. I'll go first open this one. HMM, even though he's banged up, Ti ty Hilton. Now there's still I think you have to go with the cults right. So yet to get with the cults, Ryan Grant. It seems like another potential weapon for them. He's been getting a lot of looks. But just with the uncertainty with our receiver position, I would take aggil or over grant. M But agilor supposed to be our number one. MM. Who knows what Jordan's going to do, hopefully similar to into the game roll. We're well. It's a familiar system with them. Doesn't have any issues, but it is his first game back and it is interesting. The more we talked about like I really don't like I think we'll win, but I really don't have a feel for this game just because it's so many pieces missing and coming back. It's just I mean, it could be extremely ugly or it could be extremely explosive. Like I have no idea and the weather doesn't look great for tomorrow. So yeah, I have to just wait and say. But the more I think about now, I'm actually getting like nervous. Sure I should have called Jane. I'M gonna YEA. I was trying to give in here, to try to forget about last night's loss, and now I'm just thinking about wait to mark. Could be worse. So now, but what will stay positive as much as we can. We're slowly reverting back to the Old Philadelphia, into the Saturday scaryes we never it's a good thing, right. We don't want to lose our edge. We still want to be that hungry team that we were. So we were diluting ourselves for such a long time, like all the superable, but we don't care about anything. And then it soon as said like like all right, fire dog, it's just like what do you do? It's amazing. It didn't take long at all. Now are an alarmist city. We get a little excited, little excitable, passionate. Right, we've talked about that before. All Right, and tight ends, the tight end position, eagles, Eagles with doles out. Yeah, doles out for the Colt Erky bronze, one of these players. Were talking like from a fantasy perspective. You never know what they expect from him, but he's been having a decent season so far. It just seems like Jack Doyle. He was getting more snaps and while he wasn't getting two touchdowns, luck was looking his way a lot more. But he's out. I don't even know who their third tight end would be at this point. And then are it's is just better than both of them. Yeah, that's that's a pretty easy one. The birds and I do think hold on her. It's a lot in this game. I thought we would see when we were got her list last week and it's a point with the especially with had a lot of receivers are backed up and I'm hoping the colts will get to the linebacker position, but their linebackers aren't great. So this would be a perfect week get cars in there, get them comfortable, to do a lot of to tighten sets and get Dallas involved in the game. I'd love to see that this week. So all right, well, we'll go with it. The edge to the tight ends. Go to the eagles. Now quarterback. Where are we going on the quarterback? Carson first game back. That's it. That's true. Luck starting to get into a groove. Yeah, which is funny. After two years he's finally in a groove. Wow, I never thought I'm stopped. Um, I love don't give it to Carson. I don't think luck is back yet, but I would mean this game would have been awesome to see both of...

...them truly healthy. I mean this would be one of the Games of the week. But because they're both, you know, still coming back, you know it's kind of overlooked. I would still give it to cars and I do think he will surprise as I think people always underestimate them and it always ends up coming room. So, especially now he's the's itching to get in there toil. So you know he's going to print of go right to the wall immediately. I think if you look at it in a silo, just quarterback versus quarterback, it's it wouldn't be unreasonable to say it's a pick. But if you look at the pressure, hopefully we get on luck that I would take Carson overlock tomorrow in the game. Yeah, it just straight looking at the quarterback position. Everything else equal, it's a push for me right down to you, because I'm unsure of what Carson's going to do coming back. That's a good boy and I do think our d line will have a good day tomorrow, especially bounced by they were not happy with their performance. You just listening to the interviews. They were completely dejected and angry. So I'll be interesting to see. So that's the next position then. I but the t line. Oh, he was the line get we're going with a push for the QB position for now. Really, up until the super bowl it really was the trenches that carry this team all season. I don't know what happened at least the D line for the Super Bowl and told but even the end when Brandon Graham got that strip, they weren't getting much pressure during that game, but they really carried the team, especially when Carson went down. So it'll be interesting to say e line. Oh, absolutely heels linebackers. Their linebackers. One's a rookie, one's a second year player. Not Names. You know of that joy versus Hicks and Bradham. That that's any Bradam look good last week. You know, he wasn't injured or anything, but he had the suspension. So just he's seating to get right into the flow of the game and he played well. I think had a sack last week, sack phone. We'll recovery. I was I was happy for the most part with the linebackers so yeah, I would give it to them. And then the secondary. Mills has to shake off last week. It will. It was not a good week for him. The first play we already talked about, wasn't his fault. But I think our secondary, again, the colts. They have a secondary. That the only dame I see when I look at their secondaries. Lee Cookers in a second year. We came out for college talent prospect but it's not a secondary's gonna scare anybody. Know, and especially with the way Darby had been playing, especially week one. I give us that need more of a slight edge birds. Yeah, not a strong edge, but a slide edge. So it looks like the Eagles are going to run away with this. But the last position, so it's not the position, but the last factor in it, which I think is interesting, is the coaches. Do you think Frank Reich now being the head coach of the cults, knowing some of our tricks, does that give them any advantage? That could be an x factor, really could, especially I mean he with how closely he worked with Carson. He knows his weaknesses, so that that that could be an x factor. Really. That's actually been the one thing underlying that's been making me nervous is, you know, what does he have planned? You know, he's had this game circled and he's going to have that team up and playing and the colts are going to want to win for him. So that's another factor that a lot of people don't think about. So be interesting to say. As far as just edging coach, I would still give it to Peterson. Just still can't be if I'm saying that. Probably she may here. Really almost every head coach, Mike, yeah, Peterson, Peterson, but maybe a few exceptions. Me Outsmarted Bill Bell and check. Yeah, so did that. He did. All right, it sounds like you're nervous. I'm actually sounds like you like the eagles. It's not real. Sounds like you're nervous. It's not realudance at all. No, it's fake confidence. Yeah, all right. I was...

...like, I'm not even going to eat tomorrow. It's just going to be coffee and shaking until the game is on. Not Good. Get get a meal and yeah, well, I'm setting it up. Some of the great before meals. I'm said it up, set it up, built building the FTATION. I want, then I want I want a prediction for both you guys. Score now we talk about we talked about this actually on the drive over here. I say twenty seven to twenty one. I don't know why always picked that score, but I did. Twenty seven to twenty one. Eagles. Yeah, I do think the offense is even with their you know, quarterbacks coming back, I still think they'll be able to put up points. Fourteen birds without weather tomorrow. No, it could be low scoring to so I'm gonna go low scoring. The Eagles have been holding teams to under twelve points, I think, in their last seven or eight games at the link. Yeah, they're difficults. Are Only scoring about nineteen points and it's a dome team. So con's all. I'm gonna go birds, twenty four, colts ten. That's that's a confidence score. Yeah, I was confident last week too. I think I put I threw out a thirty three to thirteen, but that could happen, as we all know. All right, next topic which I want to spend a little bit of time on, and you almost alluded to it a bit earlier. What would you consider a success for this team this year? What's this successful season? Right, we already won the Super Bowl. That's a success. It doesn't get any better than that. Is it defending repeating champions, which we know is difficult to do, or do you have another definition of success for this team? MAYBE JUST DEBBIE DOWN TO DAY? Honestly, my whole success is Carson runs coming back healthy in looking like Carson's we get in the playoffs, I mean, but be disappointed. I'll be disappointing if we don't get in. But of course comes back and this becomes like an rg three situation. That doesn't matter, even if we make the playoffs. Like he's got to look like his old self. He's got to come back healthy. Some come back no problem, some do not. So it's really it's really going to come down to the wire tomorrow or for the season for me, with him staying healthy. That's the only thing I've been focused on all year. So how about you, Luke? Yeah, I mean that's that is going to be the biggest thing, because so much as beat on him, and so it's and it's especially the last couple of years. It's like you just wanted to keep a quarterback just stay in one spot. You now have a go to. You know every you know random guy, you can find to try and, you know, replace it in stick. So I think, yeah, that's gonna be biggest thing. It's like, you know just how Carson's up looking for the future of the team and you know it's you know, it's if we can you know, disappointing you make a playoffs or don't go all the way, and you know, as long as he still looks good, I think it's overall you can put you know, you can say it's, you know, okay, hopeful, you know for the future. In the future looks somewhat secure. But yeah, like, as Mark said, yeah, with any kind of like arg three situation, that's going to be. That's that'd be a total killer. But yeah, I think it's just a lot of hinges on him, which is sucks for Carson. You know, it's a lot the entire city bearing down on you. But yeah, I think that's probably the biggest takeaway. He does he need to get back to MVP for in the season or you just want to see him looking like he could be the MVP again and and stay healthy for the season just as all as we have that feeling and we'll know when we see it that all right, he's back. You know, it doesn't have to be MVP level, although when it, when he is healthy, I think he is going to play like an MVP. So I think they kind of go together. But it's just that he looks like himself, like himself, that he doesn't develop the Yips, you know, like mark how falts or something. He's got a shot back, get into he's got a shot back down right. Please saw his head pop up so that nobody misses a shot in these posts season, summer highlight. Yeah, you're just sitting there in a Jim, just draining them and during them, but they just happen to turn the camera and when you're exact, four, five in a row. My My definitiation of success. It part of it with you, guys. I Want Carson to come back look...

...like the old Carson. I'd love to see him at that MVP caliber. You know, maybe the quarter, last quarter of the season, rolling into the playoffs a team they need to get back to the playoffs, they need to win the division and then when the playoffs get here, I think it all depends on where the team's at. There's just it seems we dealt with the injuries last year and got through it. Some of these injuries this year, know, so far like Aushon. Is that going to hang over the season? The running backs already I'm not comfortable with a JI hasn't played a whole game yet. So I it's got to be playoffs. Carson's got to be healthy, I'd say. On the defensive side of the ball, I'd love to see Fletcher at least be in the conversation for defensive MVP. It's tough for that position to get it, but I'd love to see him being the conversation. He started out strong. I mean you have see how Tomin it he can be. And I say again again, especially with it being alumni weekend, it's uncanny how much he looks like Joean Brown, almost the same moves, the same style, the same speed. It's unbelievable to say that. We have, you know, a second chance, you know, and having another great defensive tackle. And they do. They completely change your defense. So it should be should be interesting. I playoffs are bus. Playoffs are bus. That's what I'm going with. All right, we don't have a clock in her and I got to do a quick time check take care of some business before we get into our next topic. So something we started last week week was this idea of the king of the hill. So that's the TV show, not the TV shot on that yet that that's a Bob. That's a Texas show. We gotta get out of there. That's why we brought him here. He's a King of the hill expert. Are you all right? All right, that's a snown. I'll be the guy who loves king of the hill and sits down to phillies games. Getting to that in a second. All right, all right, sounds like it sounds like we have some family issues. That question to bring out here. What I love family discord. Bring it off. This is great. So he makes his podcast debut this week, Gluke, but he also made his TV debut. So after a whore a, I'll faraoh hit that home run. It was, you know, on comcast. You know, they always scanning the crowd and they go to this guy who's sitting pretty close up and the diamond club and his buddies are all standing up and I five and he's...

...sitting there on his phone. Sitting down. Who gazy like? I'm sitting down. I don't stand for home runs. That's my preface. Why it's just is is. Listen, I was sitting that. I was everyone's standing up. I'm like, okay, you get home run. Would if it's all not all go nuts. I high fived his big moment on a long day at work. Also sitting down. You look too young to say you got knee problems. So he can't believe it. On that you could always come up with an excuse, but I'm not going to buy that one. It's confident. I don't talk about it. All right, will wait till another podcast when you're not here. and Oh yeah, Horne will blast you. I'm just good Italian bottled rage will explode, all right. So King of the hill it's gonna be. It could be a most likely to go to be a player, but it could be a coach. I could be an umpire, anybody in the NFL and owner. That's having living the best NFL life. So last week Aaron Rodgers won. He's currently the king of the hill because you know, he does Superman. He hurts his knee, cart it off the field, comes back still overcomes Kleio Max. Great Game, come from behind, win. So Rogers was the king of the hill. Josh had it's magic. No, he's like, I will look what he did. Four touchdowns, are rushing touchdown against the saints. Nobody expected it. He's living his best NFL life. He lost. We put it up for a vote on twitter. He lost. Aaron Rodgers the king in the hill. So now I ask you, is there anybody that can overtake Rodgers this week? Baker Mayfield, I should have put my disclosed to my disclaimer in he's this week. Okay, yeah, because at the Thursday night game. So I just ruine that's whole segment. That's fine with right when we got game. We got games this weekend. But I was to give you explanation for Baker Mayfield. I think it goes without explanation. Of for those who didn't watch the game, he won a game for an NFL franchise that had won a game and what six hundred days and order a point, come back whatever he wanted in Cleveland that week, which there's a much more and we're Gonn. You overtake Lebron and Cleveland he could have. You can have all the Chili he wanted. If that helps any opened up a bunch of coolers of beer. Yeah, weird, I think we're talking about. It's like, you know, and I was just happened to be watching earlier this week, the eagles documentary, and you know, course had ups and downs, but I don't know mint by the browns fans, I mean that's that's I can't imagine what that's like. Sayeah, we've had our rough spots, but for so long. To be just awful is see that cold heart and me, the cold heart meat, didn't care. Yeah, there are people like I feel so good for the city at Cleveland. I don't. I don't really know. I don't watching. Well, the one bit it's so because of the things that have happened to him. It's almost so bad you have to laugh. If if you ever watch you know, the Cleveland Ninety five series are documentary on NFL films. I don't know if there could have been a more heartwrenching or depressing thing to happen then having a team coach by bill palicheck get off to that start. Back, Oh we're moving to Paul together. Say You have Baltimore of all cities, picked over you and then so it's it was just it was amazing to see and you kind of you know, everybody wants to feel good for Cleveland, but I mean it was a big moment for them. I mean that's off to them. Oh yeah, tip of the hat, kid grats, although I quickly went back to hating them when Hugh Jackson was like, Oh yeah, we didn't get the Philly special from yeah, or thy Cleveland special around forever. It's like Donicle, but it but different. We went the opposite way. Yeah, so, yeah, that changes everything. Copy my homework to change a little. Sort that on us, all right. So well that the baker may feel okay, I got others. I'm well, I'll throw out mine and if you have others, I was looking at fitzpatrick because he still had a...

...great week against our eagles, but I'm going to go Patrick Mahomes. I was all pat useful much by still now we're even. So this kid, he's a rookie and I talked about it last week. Got I didn't. I don't think Casey is a real team. I didn't think AVEC was a real team. I maybe backtracking on that. I expect that he was going to have a lot of turnovers and it may still come, but the kids looked unbelievable. And Kansas City's winning without using the run game six touchdowns last week. I'm sure he's got all the barbecue in the world he wants for free right now. Kidsas city, I think he's he's kicking to hill from me this week. That's a good pick right now. Yeah, and if I can't do Mahomes, and I would say, and you read, but this has been a hallmark of Andy Reid's teams. Other than, you know, maybe a couple in Philadelphia. He does get them ready for the season. Like his training camps are always tough. He was one of the few coaches that took them away to camp. So he always was very good at getting the teams to Geel together, other than the o five team after the Super Bowl. So it doesn't it didn't surprise me to see mahomes come out because he knows how to get quarterbacks a ready and even Michael Vick was in prison, he was still able to get him back into the swing of things so that when he stepped in he was able to take off. So I'm not shocked by the chiefs. But I do think it's going to be the chiefs again. They always get off took good starts, but you know they're going to hit the mean at some point, you know. But I was just not going to throw six US downs every game. He's probably going to be more modest, you know, one or two, two hundred yards. I really I do think he's going to be very good, but he's going to hit. The mean NFL defense is adjust very quickly. So, all right, Lucy, have anybody else to throw out? There's King Hill. I'm coming to you next tower. Be Ready. Yeah, but I mean, I mean I agree on those two you at the moment. I said, keep harping on a car's not but I mean if he's come back and looks great, I think that he's a bit definitely contender for, you know, for the next week to be on top. But now, I mean, yeah, but pretty much agree with nobody can beat mahomes or Mayfield right now. All right, yeah, he's gonna be clear. Mean I don't know how anybody tops Cleveland after winning that game. It's six hundred days, as they want to hear it. Weird feeling we really here. Actually one they got their super they were sitting, they were seeing we are the champions. Doing that many days about all when week went one week we almost turned on each other. So right, yeah, I had to be a great feeling, would say. You Tell Bill Belichick for getting Josh scored and once he lost to the jaguatchers. They face in the championship game last year. So you just hop on the high sky. That's on the free market because he lost a team that all that probably should have beat you last year. And Yeah, just patriots being the Patriots for the past decade plus. It's an interesting one. There's job. There is trouble in paradise over there with him, a new angle him, him and Tom Something's. It's going to be interesting seeing what gives first. I don't think kraft. I think graft will get rid of belchick before Brady, but I mean if they don't win this year, it's going to be interesting. Tom Brady's played another five years, whether it's in he can't. You think he's gonna get an under five? I don't know you as much as I don't like many things about him. He keeps his body and incredible. Yeah, it's alsts. Does also some crazy injury that you know, with his age. Could you know, kind of throw a rent word. But whatever, his doctor friend what he's what he's helping him out with his supplements. It's something. Yeah, but if you don't think he's going to be in New England, I just don't see another team taking a chance on a forty three year old quarterback. Right, he's forty one now, hey, some I mean so they said, for far veside when he was forty. Yeah, and I guess how somebody will take him. Oh yeah, I could see him. The redskins would take a chance on them, even with Alex Smith. I know they're not sold on him, Damn. But that again, that's what gets back to, you know, the hope for the season. You know, you don't...

...want to turn into the redskins where you have to rely on trading for Alex Smith, you know, or Donovan mcnabbey, the Easter Day trade, the Easter morning right, all right, we got a Tommy on a line here yet tell all right, up them through now, Nice. So we're going to go our buddies at the cracked bell crew. They also have a show Sunday mornings at eleven, the fantasy fix. I'm a big fantasy geek, I know you, gentlemen, although we found that that Luke is the only member of the Cabarra family that does not have a fantasy team. We have one fix that otherwise known as a fraud. Might have to fix that, but we're going to have Tommy, young, Tommy, you there. All right, we're getting them on now, coming here. What up my list right now and pulling up your list or I'd out. First thing I want to do is I want to I'm going to have these guys fix my flex that's what I'm calling it. So I'm I have two leagues. One League I have a dual flex position and I the the flex position is always a position that's a real painting Nance to figure out if you think you have good players to fill in there. So I always struggle with that. So I'm hoping. Sounds like we have our man on the line here. Tommy Young, now from the crack Belt Crow. Time you there? Or what's up boys? How are you doing? Doing Great? Thanks for giving us some time here, Tommy, this is Jim. No problem, got father. If father caver in the room with US and father cavery son or San Su me, brother Luke say, that's for the yeah right, well, brother Luke in here. So all right, all right, we're gonna we're going to pepper you with some questions. We're not going to take too much of your secret sauce away from the show tomorrow morning, but we're going to pepper you with a few questions. have no problem sharing the preview with you guys. Any of that's no problem. At all. I'll see the love we get, the pots, the pattern family here, the love we share. All right, you got it. So what I got for you? Tommy, for me, and I'm going to be selfish. It's all about me. It's all about my team. It should be. I want you to fix my flex over there, you guys at the fantasy fixer. So I got I got two players I can put in a flex. It's a standard league, standard scoring, no PPR. It's got the bonus points, though, which I'm never a fan of. The bonus points. You know, I've got gets ninety nine yards versus a guy that gets a hundred yards. The guy that gets a hundred yard gets an extra three points. Five points for what? Because he fell on extra yard? Kind of annoys me. But yeah, I won't listen. You know. That's the importance of every individual league rules, right, Yep, know your rules got a play. You gotta play to it, all right. So here's what we're going to hit you with. I have six players. I'm looking at Tom So. I'm going to challenge you here. Six, six players, one fo. You need now for two spots. Okay, all right, I'll give you the running back first. I got Latavia's Mary, so I just picked up because I have Dalvin Coourt Gore at Dalvin Cook, an Cook. So I got married and I got Geo Bernard, all right, and then I got four receivers, Kenny Galantade, New England or home verse, New England, Watkins, Home Versus Sam Frain Goodwin at Kansas City, and then Keel and Cole versus those Tennessee Titans, who you got there all right. So for me I always lean towards the running backs in the flex position, especially when you know you have starting guys, because you you're guaranteed to get fifteen plus touches out of them and, as we know, fantasies all about touches. You. So for me, Mary, Mary's and easy play for you. Oxy. Just picked him up myself. I picked him up on Sunday after I saw cook go down leave the overtime session against the packers and got ahead of the curve there. And at that Buffalo Defense has been given up some touchdowns too. Yeah, even I don't be alarmed, even if they jump out quickly with cousins Diggs and feel and you know second half of the game is where you're going to get most of your yards, probably because they're going to draw it down, run the ball to run the clock out and burial.

And everybody forgets that. Mary when he's back with Oakland, double digit touchdowns and even in even last year when Cook went down, between him and Mckinnon, you know he was still serviceable back. And the other side I will play Geo. Jeam China. I'm leaving resus on the bench. I have coli day and it's not that I don't like them. I he's getting the most targets in Detroit right now. He's running the most routes in Detroit right now and it seems that him and Stafford have, you know, good turn got like a relationship going. But I'm playing Geo. I prefer the guarantee touches. H R GEO got people fantasy titles last year when mixing went out. Was the last four games of the season. Yeah, mix it was Britial last year. He was a high draft pick for me in one of my leagues and he just didn't show up last year. Yes, now fifteen to twenty touches easily out of both guys. All right, all right, well, they will go my FLEC and don't you know, though, I mean you have a lot of good options. Can't play Goodwin because he's still questionable. Yeah, you know if he's going to come back killing Cole had a great game last week against New England, so everyone's tie on him right now. So it's not you should probably try to move a couple of these guys. That's a good point. Yeah, this at the Sammy Watkins out there with the Pat Mahome show, but you never know who it's going to go to. He could be Frodam to Conley and Tyrie kill's going to get his but he could be looking at camel as week instead of Watkins or Travis kills. I know, I know. Lotkins had six catches for a hundred yards last week and two cars for like already. As I said on our shore this week, standy versus anyone. I'm taking the other one. I have an issue with Sammy Watkins all right, in life. I don't know why not not feeling on never will. He's on your blacklist. Never make it on a team years. All right, I don't. I don't want any part of them. I don't care who else you telling you to pick up the other guy between him and the waiver water, go to the waiver wire. Me Horse words are saying. She's just saying, all right, I got this. He's a sammy. All right, let's go where you taking issues? WE'RE gonna go to Father Cavart are. Apparently he's got someser these segue. Hey, we thank you for calling. So, but problem pretty easy one. I'm not as needy as JIM as fans figs. So it's just between Kenny stills or Chris Godwin as a flex played for this week by so I'm going still there. Godwin's the number four wide out in Tampa still. So while he has scored, he's not. He's only out there on for white out sets or if they're spelling another wide receiver. Stills is the number. Stills as the number one in Miami right now and they're playing Oakland, which is shaky. So you got a good match up there. Could be one of the surprising starts in football this year. I bamy winds. They start three and out. That coming. Absolutely. That's easy stills for me, only because of the amount of place he will be on the field compared to God one. All right, perfect. Well, I'm set. See you go. Three and O now know you'll be happy go to see. Nor getting true analysis here, unbiased analysis, because Tommy is also a pen state guy. He did not let his pen state show there and go with God, when I would have growne with God. Well, way, but maybe it's all I had why I haven't won my fantasy league in a few years now. You you also probably think pen state's going to be Ohio state. That's but that wouldn't I wouldn't go that far, Tommy. I don't know that. The sixty points they're putting up here and there, I'm not I'm not impressed yet. Yeah, don't share your by Sir, but Jimmy, seriously, on your side of it, like going back to your team real quick. You got a good amount of running backs. If you're worring about those guys that your flex you can package them or move them for a higher wide out. What you're making deals always think that the running back has a higher value than the round that that wide receivers perceived that...

...prior. So what I'm saying there is you can try to suck around running back for our first round, first round receiver, and fairness is out there on that. No one can tell you're trying to steal from them. Yeah, there's more valuable. The thing it's interesting in this league is we only start one running back and we start two receiver, so it's more of a receiver heavy league. I think that's kind of ways into that tricky for you? Yeah, definitely. But I got one more question before you before we let you go. Who has been the biggest disappointment so for I know it's only two weeks in, but who's one of those guys that was probably a first round pick that's really been disappointing for you so far? And I'm it's got to be David Johnson. Everyone, and I got him in my least that. Yeah, it sure. I mean he went top five. He shouldn't have. It just so hard to get off of it. The new regime's not using them right. Their offensive lines terrible. Sam Badford's terrible. There's just nothing lining up for him. I mean, if you can move them, I would move them for anything right now. I don't think it's worth called him on doom. It's not going to get better. Do you think Josh Rosen coming in Helps Eddie? If that happens in an at weeks, not going to help at all because it still don't have the offensive line and now fitzgeralds banged up to you not even play this weekend. They're big trouble. I had him last year too and it's a shame because he was a number one overall pick last year and many leaks he went to in my league. So yeah, I mean it's tricky, but you can't get hooked on the names. Yep, yeah, I agree. He don't fall the party transition and fantasy football, even from like the year or two years prior. You got to forget the name because new people coming up, like Gola Day for example, everyone's not as Gung Ho on them yet because they all say they have kate and Marvin Jones Jr still well, he's getting the most targets, he getting the most catches, so get over it and use them for what he is while you can. You know, I agree. All Right, Tommy, thanks you for giving us some time. You could catch Tommy young and the rest of the guys on Thursday night to the coract belt crew here on wildfire sports radio at nine o'clock. Eight o'clocks are and then on Sunday mornings now with the fantasy fix. You can catch them to do to show on facebook live at eleven am eleven, I know, up the game time, Yep, call in or open for film calls. Tommy, Steve Rob those guys will help you get your fantasy lineup set right before game time. There, beautiful. Keep up to go work, Tommy. All right, Jimmy, thanks by talk ranks. Take Care you guys. Time all right. Now we're going to get into the big topic, and I'm really good for my favorite topic outside of football is food. We're do a little segment here called crase before meals, to actually stole from another police come on, you're not supposed to say it on on the air. No one would have known. Nobody's listening now. I'm just kidding. No, but the great for meals there actually as a priest who does cooking and that was one of the things that spurned cooking with Kavara for the youth group. I want to, though. I want to. It's going to be great before meals with other car mine. Okay with that. That's fine. That way we won't get sued working. We're talking food without samples. Yeah, this is true. We got I'm working on that tail. You know, we got. Some of our guys are, you know, being a little elusive this season. So, just like every franchise or sports team, the Eagles fans, we all have our own routine on Sunday, you know, for those who have a conscience and morals, usually get to mass on Sunday and things like that, or any night, what to your place of worship, or Saturday night. But then that's it kind of sets the tone. So you have the morning of Game Day and for me, being an Italian, I just drink espresso, I don't eat anything. But you're going to be...

...talking about Brotzon coulosity here to day. We're quick, get it, get there, Cheez, give me a moment, Sarya, and we like you said, I like to do around, but there's a you know, there's a couple different routes you can go. You can just do, you know, the simple snacks, pretzels, chips, and then, you know, save it for dinner if you want something bigger. But one of my favorite things to do is actually just go more Italian style, but also have kind of a hybrid set. So I'll take the Samos on a tomatoes, I'll make a good sauce to begin with, but I'll make a sauce because it's the same base. So I'll make a sauce for Chili and I'll make a sauce for the gravy for later. So I get those two go and all. Usually this pop for the Chili will be smaller. So we'll do that. Fry Up some red meat or ground beef, put that in and then the Chili stew and all morning. Then I go and I get the gravy ready, so I do the same tomatoes. Then I'll do I'll start with the base of you know, like a pork rib or whatever, just to get that nice fat and oil in there, and then that just kind of stews all day or simmers all day, excuse me, throwing veal if you want, or any kind of any kind of meat that you like, meet balls, all that good stuff. And then you have the Chili for the game. Make any honey Chili dip and then you have the pasta for the night, just in case you want to completely burn offh Esophagus. But that's that's one route to go. The other one to just to really go crazy with dips. And one thing I've always been happy with as a lately people are getting more creative. Dips used to just be the classic Chili and cheese, but now, you know, they've become that ordinate but almost very gourmet. So one of my favorite dips is a dip that I didn't make because actually my friend Father English. She's listening right now, so he's probably going to be very happy with this. This is at the same priest that you stole the idea from his. Now, okay, I know you got to kind of move around and separate. Yeah, but once they met, dropped to you and exactly exactly. It's kind of like catch me if you can. But he made a great dip one time for the Super Bowl and it was a ruben dip. So he had warm bit, he had corned beef, he had the Sour Krout, like thousand island dressing, and then he had little melbow toasts for the chips and that was one of the best dips I've ever had. But there's many different ways you can go. So that's just one example. But I think with our house, like when we're there, usually we always do chili and cheese for the dip and then we'll do some kind of Italian styled the day gravy. Yeah, usually it's meet balls are hugh he's, but it's one of the best parts about watching the game is won't be with your family and then just having kind of like a game. You know, what's sor ry? What's the game playing for the meals and you kind of break it up. Yeah, all the ways. I don't know what you guys. I did my big pot of Chili last week Nice. So I like to do the Chili. I so I do a beef pork who and then I actually had last week I had a blend that had bakeon it in as well, so that was that's my meat base and then I go whatever peppers I find. It are goods. I'd like to get some Hollopenias and ever had some rot some serroundos too. I like to go black beans in my Chili. I did so I do a nice bigs like pot gives. Yeah, and it's the kidney beans. Not a big fan of the kidney beans and Black Bean. I feel like it's it's a Nice, Nice your bean for Chilian. Yeah, big question. Do You keep the I'm assuming using can right or B can't black beans? Yeah, I've tried to do the sit them over for twenty four hours to so often them. It's said they always still peanuts. Yeah, it's yeah, showing what like water chestnuts, yum. But the best part of it is actually the important part, is that juice that you get from the beans. One gives a color, but also just a little little bit like sure labors. So what'll you do that? And we do like the scoop. So make like a Chili get out of it. The kids like a MAC and cheese. Poured a chili over the MAC and cheese. I'm being season ticket holder. I'm not home for all the games, it's true. So they're dark. Will be times where I like to just get a nice pork roast and I'll put that in the oven before I leave for the game. HMM. You just let that go at like two hundred and fifty, just like just nice slow roads throughout the day, come home and make a poor dependent on...

...how well it breaks down. Either do pork sandwich is out of it. More like a nice like porquetto with some hmm, long hots, some provolone. I like to do this some day. gravy. HMM, I don't. I don't always throw the pork in there. Sometimes I just do the pork veal beef mix for the people, which is but it's him. We're all day long. Batch. You so ill. And leading up to this is eventually for the next time that we're here, I'll have to bring in different dips to samples, so to show you works. Teller's on board and not nice speaking my language, see, but that's that. It's amazing, like how is simple dips like that becomes such a mainstay? Yeah, if we get me Chili really is almost universal for most people. I I'm not into like pretzels everything because you get too full and then everything you just feel like, you know, awful throughout the rest. So I usually don't even eat during the game. Yeah, still that fair. I I'm like not hungry at all and then if they win, especially, then all of a sudden the hungry pain come out of nowhere and it's just the stress relief eating. So that's a guess, more of a segment for Dr Phil I think we're Richard Simmons or whatever his name is. We get him in here. You have any contacts? Not The he has been heard of it from like five years, but that's another yeah, we'll work on that. Let's see fe's of work. I'll finding Richard Simmons. We're nowhere. Was Richard Seventh? I think that the audience depends to write with the game self. If if it's just being the family, then we'd like to have more of a meal. HMM, sit down, have a real dinner. But if you're watching the game with a bunch of people, then yeah, the dips are great. Sandwiches like the pork sandwich to meet ball sandwiches, to make a pies, hit some hoagies and cut them up. We have been thinkings. You got to keep it in the kitchen. There's are the worst, like if you go to a viewing and they put the food right in the middle, and especially if it's something like I have the game and you get the bend over or you're the person looking like a Rioh, I want a little this, you know, I want a pretzel and then just like just pick something to go. Take the whole bowl leaf. I watch the eight the we're in kind of a weird spot because it's with even if it's just the family, it's also a viewing party. It's a bad ten people in the rocky well we had a big family that's whatever. What everybody in our neighbor probably can't stand as I think we're having parties everything, because we're one of seven kids, so there's like seven cars. Go another convertiarty'll ever stop me. Yeah, cleybe, they could invite us to want maybe that's what they're thinking. Yeah, parts of their cars. Okay, they're gonna wave and that's all. Hey neighbor, all right, before I let you go, before we wrap up here, I still need super bowl predictions. Got Him Tower, we got him from so I need your super bowl predictions for this year. Will Take Yours to loop and I we want a little update on on the team out of coaches going. Unless you don't want to put that out on there, we'll talk about it. Okay. So I'm going with chiefs over the Patriots. I'm sorry. That's in the AC chick game. Are One side in the AC championship game and then the chiefs and the Eagles in the Super Bowl, just because I want to see it's so bad. Yeah, yeah, but Andy Reid wins, that would be brutal, which we know. We will be upset. Then we'll kind of back. Well, I think you, like any of us, Stug Peterson, and now we'll just be devastating, I think. Yeah, I think that the Philly, Philly statue will be burned down. And what's just so funny about the movie silver lining play like silver linings playbook like especially deal with it. Wass we never find silver linings and anything. Just people show them to it and we say now that's enough, we lost this horrible everything, like they're I was like you thinking of things to make yourself upset, the eagles and chiefs and we lose Dan. You. I just want to see Andy Rebat build bell check. I really do. I would like to see anybody beat built to Belchic. Yeah, I think that's why I put the I put the Patriots back in because, I mean, yeah, I guess you know. And the Eagles, well, beat the Minnesota Vikings again and then FC championship...

...game in Minnesota. They get that sytable. So those are the you always have to do. The CHAMPISIP game to lead and I the two super bowl teams. So you got the PATS ON AFC side. Yeah, I think, because, I mean it's not too much of a shakeup, I feel like, with you know, compared to last year. So it's you know, there's doing sense the patriots, so they could probably definitely not too hard for them to get there again. And then I don't know if I have anyone else. I'd be hysterical if the Eagles got back to super and then face the Patriots again. But yeah, I don't know if I have another team. I think I'm definitely thinking the Patriots are going to make it back. But as far as the opposing I don't know if I have a solid pick for who would make it there at the moment, just because, well, you're on the line, you got to give one any any team. Daddy team. He taking the field. I'll take the field. God, really on the spot here. Let's go cowboys. It just because that would be there to see them get beat. Why? I don't I don't think he's invite it back. How did I say that on the microhone? Oh Man. All right, well, now the relief. We're leaving on it. You see what happens when you press your me. We're leaving on the Patriots, cowboys son.
