Good if they're noon, everyone, Eagles nation. Now we doing today? We're coming at you alive from the brand spanking new wildfire studios in Westville, Westville and Mest West effort, west effort. I'm sorry, I stand corrected. That's a tailor behind the class, producer all the stars, doing his thing as always. Are you, sir? I'm pretty good. We're a regular something new. There's yeah, there's some guy that's missing. Yeah, yeah, Guy would have beard. It's always wearing a pen state something or another. Let's PENCI. Yeah, one of those guys. Yeah, but taking his place today, would it be myself, Dick Martin, host in the show, and I'm joined buy my son Dj, the soon to be twenty one year old. Ye, look out all bars and liquor establishments. I'm not that much of a problem in Westchester, Nah, Philly, SOUTH JERSEY, wherever. You don't think you're okay. I like hearing that. Yeah, since you're my kid. Yeah, he has to play down front and right here, right. Yeah, wait till he gets back out the West Chart Tomorrow. But he'll actually he'll be back home. I Guy, because it's Thanksgiving weekend. Is your birthday? Oh, thanksgiving eves. That's a big night. I love that and he'll be a three ding. You got you got to talk to the bounce outside like the right for some word something now, right, come on, speaking of getting you into bars illegally, Jimmy gave me a courtesy last week of giving some thoughts on our trip to Nashville, so I figured I extend the saying to you. Okay, do you have any thoughts that you like to share about your trip to Nashville? It was a great time up until Sunday, around twelve o'clock, you know, but I'm still fun at twelve o'clock. Yeah, but you know, it was fun to about for yeah, I will say that. But yeah, I had a great time. I definitely want to get back there. A lot of fun. Every single place we went to was a good time. Food was great. It was pretty much being like in Philly still, with all those fans that were down there. Yeah, I'm a little partial to that barbecue joint by the name of Martin's. Yeah, it was pretty good, pretty good. Yeah, it was really good. Yeah, what are you talking about, kid? But it was I had a lot of fun. I was glad I was able to go yes we work too. Yeah, yeah, and you weren't the anchor that you thought you were going to be about not being able to get into yeah, the local style a little lucky. Yes, we did get a little lucky. I agree. All right. So today we want to we're first of all, we're going to have a couple call callers coming in. AB avalon Brian will be calling in about three hundred and twenty five or so, and we're looking to talk some sixers with him, maybe mix it up a little bit. And then about three hundred and forty five we're going to have Tommy young calling in with his take on the this week's fantasy football. What's going on in that that business? So, but first we want to get started on our division, the NFC east, after Lan. Well, let me start with the beginning of the season. And prior to the beginning of season, I thought the eagles were the class of the division and that we would pretty much have an easy time in the division. Maybe not in the rest of the conference because there are some pretty good teams in the conference out there with the ranch, the saints, the Falcons. Even though we took care of business with the Falcons, the Vikings, they cooked took care of business gain more heavily stack than the AFC eight. Yeah, but I thought we would have a...

...pretty easy time into division. And then last weekend happened Dallas. They more or less steamrolled Jacksonville. I did not see that coming, I thought, even though Dallas was at home, I believe they were coming off a lost a week before. Yeah, I thought they looked kind of sloppy, but of a mess and that loss, I was expecting Jacksonville to handle business in Dallas. It did not happen and in fact the exact opposite happened. Jacksonville got steamrolled by Dallas. Yeah, their defense showed up, you sure did. And then Washington pulled out a surprise. I thought it was a surprise victory against Carolina. In the pool at work, I picked caroline and I picked Jacksonville. Of course I lost both of those games, which can made me lose the pool, and I was a little surprised to see Washington take care of business against Carolina. Carolina had a shot at the end to pull it out, but didn't quite happen. And they I believe we have. In fact, Washington sits at the top of the division with the three and two record and I think we have a bit of a you know, some some competition. The giants look like they are going to be the team that we thought they were going to be. They sitting out one in five if they're getting spanked around by our eagles last week up there, and I think we're in for a bit of a fight in the division. I'm not quite sure who it's going to come from, be at the Washington or Dallas, but it looks like we might be in for a bit of a dog fight from either one of those until unless and I think we've kind of got back on track against the giants. I hope that wasn't a mirage. I hope it wasn't a byproduct of the team that we played, but I think it was also getting back on track more so. And what are your guys thoughts about us being in a bit of a dog fight now for it division, it's definitely them find the groove finally, which I was waiting for. I mean, everybody over reacts to the first couple weeks, and you know, as you should sometimes, but I mean there's too much talent on this team and for it not to figure itself out again and out. I'll at least have in all this extra tension before the season started, you know, all these extra media questions where it's Carson when, blah, Blah Blah. But yeah, I think they're at the point where they're going to be the same football team they were last year. Okay, well, maybe not quite as high level playing as they were, but still more that team than, yeah, the team before that. Yeah, I think Taylor's right. I think they kind of found their stride last week. I mean you have to remember a lot of our guys we had coming back from pretty big surgeries, you know, in the all season and not always takes time to recover. They didn't even get to play in the preseason. So those first couple of weeks, I think where those where those preseason games for those guys like Brandon Graham, Al Shawn even Wentz and that's why I think we had such a slow start. But last week, you know, I the giants are horrible team. We all know that, but I think it was good to see that they, you know, came out, came out with a statement win, which they desperately needed against the bad team, you know, to come. I've kind of give them that confidence that they all needed, you know, going into this tough stretch of the schedule right now coming up. We got a lot of tough games coming up. So I mean we do. I think the eagles are still the clear cut favorite for this division. I mean I think they're the best, seem in a division by far. I really don't think. I mean the Redskin seem like the same team every year. To me. They're competitive all the way up to the last week of the season. They're always in that fight. They're always in the mix. The cowboys are the cowboys. I mean their defense does look good this year.

They have a lot of playmakers on that side of the ball, a lot of young studs, but they still have Dak and he's not going to get the job done for them. So you're thinking we're there isn't going to be much competition from the division, despite what happened late yeah week. I mean there's been a lot of fluke wins, I think this year. You think in this an NFL, and I think last week with the cowboys, for sure, I think that was a bit of a fluke win. Nobody expected that type of noname, not even the cowboys. I don't know. What the spread was on that game, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the cowboys now either. Thirty three. It was definitely jags were probably definitely the favorites to win, and I don't know what the spread was, but yeah, it wasn't thirty three points, that's for sure now. But I mean the Redskins, you know they'd be Carolina, but Carolina doesn't look like Carolina neither. You know, they look like they're struggling to be I don't know what's going on Cam, but he's back to Kim Newton, you know, a headache, it seems like, inaccurate with passes, you know, still dressing like I don't know what the hell his fashion design is, but he loves dressing himself up like it's Halloween every time. Yeah, but, like you know, I still think the EELS are going to come out on top. I really I mean they're still going to be tough, tough division, Divisional Games always going to be tough, but I think they'll be able to handle it all. Yeah, I'm I agree that we are still the class of the division and we should win the division fairly handily. But look, you know, and I predicted before the season started, we should go forward and to at worst in the division and then after that loss to Minnesota, I said, we need to can't be any worse than five and one in the division, if not sweep it, because we can't afford any more conference losses because if we were going to go anywhere, and you know, back to the Super Bowl, we need that home field advantage and we cannot afford any more conference losses because at that record, that conference record, will catch up to you in the end and come back to haunt you if we don't take care of business in the division first. Yeah, and I'm thinking when it comes to the saints and the Rams, we have to at least split those two. We can afford to go. I went to it and those games. I think after looking at the first couple of weeks of the season, I don't know if I speak for you guys, but in my opinion I don't think the NFC is as good as everyone thought it was. I mean, when you look at it right now, it's just the rams and the Vikings. The bears are, you know, so so packers look awful besides Iron Rod. I mean I don't think it's as much of a power house as we thought it was. Well, I'm going into the season. I did. I forget who was saying it on the radio this week, but they said that the saints really have any played anybody yet. If you look at who they've played, they haven't really played anybody through and they squeaked the win out against Tampa Bay, and Tampa Bay has come back down the earth and would have thought they also squeak to win out against Atlanta and Cleveland. Yeah, so, and Atlanta's looks bad. They're one in five this year. Are they wanted five? Yeah, wow, yeah, they look bad. So, and you know, we all know what Cleveland is. Yeah, and both those get. Well, Cleveland was at home for the saints, but they were on the road against well and well, yes, CLEVELAND IS CLEVELAND, but I think they are better than last still, you shouldn't you know, good over time if you're the saints. We not Cleveland. And where was that get? In New Orleans, it was. Yeah, then they definitely shouldn't be gone to ote against them. So all right, I guess I'm on an island with my not not my dire straits, but my my little little more worried than I was about the division. I still think we win the division, but I think we need we can't go any worst than five and one. I'm not sure where that one's going to come...

...from. I'm thinking maybe at Dallas. But I mean, even if we're wrong about the eagles being back, like the saving grace is this division that there is as we can be as side. I do agree with it. It's the worst in the conference and yeah, maybe the League. Yeah, like we might be. Yes, it's I believe it's the worst in the conference and could be in the league. Yeah, except maybe AFC self is still pretty bad. AFC SAT in and the NFC west outside of the Ramses and all that either. But still, Ya, picking hairs at least. Yeah, yeah, true, true. So, yeah, I guess. I guess that's, you know, kind of where we stay in at. The Eagles should win the division through well in the conference. The only stat that's worries me is that the last repeat divisional winners and the NFC east hasn't come since two thousand and four or five, and that was the eagles. Yeah, I know, but you know, it's worries me a little bit. Yeah, Tom It's been a while. So that was one back. That was a long time ago. Yeah, that was a super bowl ago as far as working cerns. Yeah, meaning the one to get that we lost against a patriots and and in football terms they're obviously is no one left on the team from that error, including the coaches, except for unless you want to count do and and Doug Peterson, and Doug has made the rounds since then and come back. So yeah, well, you know, it remains to be seen. We got a lot of football left ahead of us. I think we do come out on top in the division, but we you know, we need to take care of business in the division because we're going to need those conference wins. We need those division wins because we need home field advantage for the playoffs. And you're sure it's going to it's going to be that way. I know we would have to la last year and took care of business, but there is completely different. There are different team. I think their defense is really boned up with some additions this year. Shawn McVeigh's been through through the ringer, you know, he knows what to expect this time. Sandwich our Goff, the quarterback, he knows what to expect this time. So they're going to be ready for us when we go out there. I don't know if that's going to happen. Where we go out there, we take over the stadium again and you know we handle them pretty well. I think it's definitely going to be a much tougher road trip this year. There's not going to be a fan support, I don't think this year, especially what a trip to London coming up in a couple weeks. Still think they'll show up, though. Absolutely as going to show out. Yeah, the fans will show up, but some of those fans that went out there last year maybe they're going out there. Maybe they're going to London this year as opposed to a rams. So nobody's going to take a six hour flight twice within a couple months. Which makes me laugh about the ram, though, is that last year they purposely lost. That was a week sixteen or week seventeen game in regular season because they wanted to face us to get that revenge game. And the playoffs. Yeah, and ended up getting a found every home and they lost. And then this offseason they make all these moves just to beat the Eagle and it's just I think it's funny. You know, they to get all these things done and it might not even pay off. Well, so far it looks like it is, but many moons are go long before maybe even Taylor was around. Were you round in the late seventy tailor? But do you think all right now? That's a No. The Eagles, the cowboys were to class all of the NFC east for a deck at a decade or more, and the eagles made a lot of moves with Dick for meal purposely to combat the cowboys and to make themselves the eagles were not concerning themselves basically with anybody else in the league other than the cowboys, because Dick for meal on there stood that if we were...

...to go anywhere we had to beat the cowboys first. So if that's what the rams are doing, then you know they're there. Is Precedent and I'm sure the eagles aren't the only team to do that in the history of the League. But what happened in one thousand nine hundred and eighty when the eagles got to the Super Bowl? atter they beat the cowboys as well. Yeah, that was super everything eating the cowboys. Exactly. Everything was geared to words beating the cowboys. And I'm saying if the random. Let us in the playoffs. Let's say we meet up in a playoff game, they beat us, but, you know, might not even pay off of them and along on, because their whole goals is just get well sit a difference between these two to me is the cowboys were division and still our division rival. We played them twice every year. Yeah, the Rams are not at division arrival. Yeah, you know, and we're, you know, at suit. At some point in time we're not going to play them some year, you know, depending on how to, you know, division placing and all that business shakes out, there's going to come a point in time where where we're not going to play them and they're not going to have to worry about us. We always had to worry about playing a cowboys twice and we still do. So you have to keep that in mind. It's a slightly different scenario between division rivals and conference rivals, where as a conference rival you may not be playing them in a couple years, depend on how you're scheduling shakes out. Yeah, let's say. Let's move on from our division and conference talk. I one thing I wanted to cover, and we barely touched on last year, our last year right last week with Jimmy was I wanted to get to the running back situation. To me, I think Jgi may have played his last game as an eagle and I think it definitely will play out that ways. You know, he's in a contract year. He's not. He doesn't have a good track record as far as his health is concerned, either with the dolphins or with us, and I think, in fact I'm pretty certain, that he has played his last game as an eagle. He's going to expect, you know, bigger money despite his health record. And you know, his performance does merit, you know, maybe bigger money, but his health does not, and I have a feeling that when it comes time to talk contract with him that may be an issue. So I think the eagles are going to end up moving on from him and going with Clar Corey Clement as their number one if they don't trade for somebody or they pick up somebody. I'm not sure who free agents are going to be available in the upcoming off season, but if they don't pick up a free agent in they all season, their their prop or if they don't trade their probably going to stick and I'm starting to think because all the talk now for a trading for a running back is starting to die down and it's actually starting to pick up for a wide receiver. I've a feeling they're not. They're going to stay in pat when it comes to the running backs. And what are your thoughts, Taylor? What are your thoughts on them picking up, maybe picking up a running back with a trade or a free agent, or store staying Pat With Court Corey Clement? They need something new at this point. Yeah, I think they do to anything, are they? You think they're going to go for a trade? Or know you so? You think a trade? I mean if somebody makes sense. Free Agency, sure, but you know that means you're given up this year. As far as a running about is concerned. The Eagles never pay for running back. That's true. So...

...don't I don't think they're going to do it through free agency. HMM. So we're looking at a try or trade. I mean, I agree with till it. I think you need something new. Yeah, and that Backfield, because, let's be honest, clement and small wood and Josh Adams and whenever sproles get back, he's gets back. I don't think that's going to cut it down the line. Yeah, it might work in a couple games here and there, but when you play a good defense they're going to shut all them down. As much as Corey Clement has shown us over the year and a half that he's been here and he's been a productive back, and he was real productive in the playoffs land super bowl, he wasn't. Yeah, it's playoffs in the Super Bowl, he was an undrafted free agent coming out of Wisconsin. So there was a reason why he had on drape freels. It's tough, yes, exactly. He's got something to prove, which is always a good thing because I think that puts, you know, added attitude into a players the way they play way. But you know, again, there's a there's a reason why he was in a dret the free agent. I'm not sold at all on Wendell smallwood. You know he's he is what he is. He's a smaller back. He's a guy that can get you yards here and there. He's not a number one and I think he would just be somebody that that fills in here and there, gets ten to fifteen touches. Eagles problem right now is they don't have an every down back. All these guys are you know, scat back, stir down type of backs. Yeah, catch passes out of the backfield. So, you know, obviously, obviously there's all these rumors about these trade talks for bell. Even David Johnson's came up and we just saw yesterday with Carlos hide going and Jackson. Yeah, I was shocked at that. Yeah, I mean, you know, the moves are there to be made. I mean it's all up to what how he wants to do really and you know, maybe talking it over with dog and see what dog if he's obviously going to believe in these guys. Yeah, could. He's got he's got to say that. Yeah, but I think deep down he knows he's like I, you know, I can't work with these guys for the rest of the year. We need to every down type of back, right, if he wants to be honest about it. Yeah, so I mean I think obviously everyone's, you know, number one move is go get bell. Obviously he's the Big Star, you know, the big you know, big move that everyone would love to see. But you know, like I just said, the in everyone knows the eagles don't pay for running backs and leave you on bell with this, even his franchise. How this year he's making fourteen million. You know, HMM, the eagles aren't going to pay that running back and and, like you said, they don't like to pay up Yam or for a running back. So and if you get bell, you know at what price it's going to be for a couple of games. MMM. And you know, come free agency time he's not going to sign here because eagles, I don't think, are going to give him the contract he wants now. So I I would alone. You have a discarnld employee exactly. So I would all. I really wish that the eagles would have made a mood for a hide yesterday. You know, his price was a fifth round draft pick. I mean, where was how we on that? I wish, I wish eels would have picked up on that. Be Yeah, I would have been great for us. Yeah, I would fit perfectly here. I think, considering the slew of draft picks that we have, exact multiple draft picks in and rounds, that you like to have multiple trap picks and for that reason so that you can go ahead and, yeah, trade one for a player. What are our thoughts on the wide receiver talked? That's pick it up. I don't necessarily mind a wide receiver coming in. Yeah, I was hoping for a running back, but out you know, will take the wide receiver to that's definitely something that we should take a look at and I think we could use that. I think for the Eagles right now I think the better move would be to go after a wide receiver just because, you know, we have nobody that can really beat a defense down field right now. You...

Know Agil are, he can, but he's more over the middle type of Guy, and Al Shan's just a big wide receiver outside that makes, you know, big catches for you. And obviously Mike Wallace going down really hurts, but I don't even know what he would have really done for us that much this year. You know, he is that down field type of threat. But he's set to come back. He is set to come back next month or yeah, they didn't say that. He's hope. They're hopefully he's coming back. But even still, I think they need to make a move for a wide receiver. And Obviously Amari Cooper's out there and recently I've been hearing former Egal Deshan Jackson. If they make a move for him, which I don't know how I'd feel about that. I mean he's still he still looks like the Sean Jackson. He doesn't really look like he's lost a step, but we know who he is. You know, you can get a headache and he's getting a little older. Yeah, so I don't know what they do, honestly. I mean how he's got a he's in a tough spy right now, but he's definitely got to make some calls. Taylor, you mentioned that wide receiver. You got any names that you're looking at thinking of that might be available? We got we got to think what's available. I haven't really seen or heard any real names that have like it's stuck to e Jacks, the only one I've heard. Yeah, nothing's really sticking to any reports either. Right, yeah, right. Yeah. It's a tough, tough situation because, I mean there's obviously running back candidates that you could trade for, but I mean, besides that, I don't know any additions that are obvious. DJ, yesterday you mentioned, yeah, Larry Fitzgerald. I saw, I don't know that butter, I saw somebody, you know, tweet out lie. You know, why don't they go after Larry Fitzgerald? And you know, I don't know how I'd feel about that. I mean, obviously is Liarry Fitzgerald. He's a hall of Famer, but I don't know if I want them at this point in his career. Yeah, I don't think he's really going to help us out. That I I agree. I don't think he's going to help us a whole lot right now either. He's absolutely a hall of fame career. I don't know if he's still at the hall of fame stage of his career. He's still good. He's resilver every fitzgerald. Yeah, I know, I know, but I think he's more than name now than the actual he's also in a terrible offense. Absolutely, absolutely, I think if you get them with here team that's going nowhere. I think if he was to come here, if they make a move for him, you know, I think he's going to put up the numbers that he would have put up in good offense. So I mean, you know, I don't know. What do you think it would a? I'm on names would you like to see here? I don't know, other than other than D Jack. But you know, I think Tampa Bay, like I said earlier, is coming back down the earth would have thought. So he may be available. They've got two other decent wide receivers on that team. Maybe we could pluck one an in, but I think they're going. They're interested in keeping God. I think they rather keep Mike Evan. Yeah, and and Godwin. Yeah, they're younger. Yeah, and there's something you can build around. D Jack, I don't think is a is a piece that you want to build around. It got remember who with the deadline and what a week or two and there's a lot of terrible teams now. So they're going to have fire sales and say, yeah, you have to attack teams like that. He's WHO's the guy on the Texans that burnish a couple times? PEXANS are not detections. Tennessee. I'm sorry, Corey Davis. What I don't think tennessees don't much of anything right. Well, I mean he's already available. Time him like their number one guy down there and he's and he was a first round draft pick last year or two years ago, so he's not gone always too long. Yeah, I don't think you to move him yet they're not. They don't want to. Teams hate admitting mistakes. I don't think he's a mistake? No, he's definitely. Teams don't want to give up one on their prize possessions early. I would love to see a Mary Cooper here, owed had that wasn't, though, the name that we heard. I would love this. Yeah, Soup. Yes, but now he's hurt, right, I don't know. or He's...

...just being on productive. Yeah, they, I have raideds one fantasy. Are just a mess. Yes, they are, and I believe there's a fire sale going on at Oakland. Yeah, I think it's common soon. I actually heard this week even Derek Carr has been put out there on the track of that. That's our stake. Like John Gruden some mess right now. I don't understand him. I mean they give him a hundred million dollar contract that one years. Is that up there with one of the worst contracts in the history of sports? It's got to be that, least to the NFL. That is all its got to be, because that team has gone nowhere and we'll continue to go nowhere. I don't see them doing anything in the next foreseeable future. Anyway. John Gruden, he was a good offensive coordinator when he was here with the Eagles back in the S he was an upbecoming young coach. He won a super bowl in t hima bed yes, but he did. But a lot of people say he you know, rightfully so or not. They say he want it with Tony Dungee's team, because it was all his players that were on that team when he went there, when won that Super Bowl. And then, you know, he goes out to Oakland get team. He literally got traded to Oakland and they they end up. And now there was there were a couple things that happened. One at our offensive lineman went out on a binge the night before and he ended up having bipolar disease or something like that. And you know, unfortunately, and he bailed on the team and that that super bowl was a mess for the raiders. They got smoked. That should have been our super bowl because that's the year that Tampa Baker made and beat its last game at the vet is there. I don't want to remember that if I don't have to. But yeah, crew didn't. I don't know what's up with him. You know, he even down to the League for ten years. Yes, that's always hard to come back, is it is? It's very hard because you know, the League has really morphed. It's changed between between the athletes and the rule changes that the league has morphed completely different animal from when he was in the in the in the league prior to his stays in the in the broadcast booth, and for whatever reason he just hasn't been able to. I just saw Willie just said. How about Kenny stills or Devante Parker? Sure, out of Miami? Sure, yeah, my well, Miami is good. They're hanging tough. Dur hanging tough. So, you know, maybe if they want to fit a draft pack, go'd you know, yeah, about it. I'd by hanging tough, you mean brock ass alights quarterback. Yeah, I mean the Patriots are clear foreign to right. Yeah, but aren't they? Are they tied with the Patriots for the division? Yeah, because Patriots are for and for so, yeah, and they haven't played each other yet right now. But so patriots played a dolphins. Yeah, that's right. I didn't smoke them and be okay, yeah, all right, but hey, maybe they get a wild card if they can maybe hang tough with oswater and I was still a dolphins. Yeah, yeah, I know, but that's actually really interesting. I think they would make a move for that. Yeah, I would definitely. Yeah, yeah, that is Damonte Parker has great speed and I don't think he's at old. I think he's relatively new in the league. HMM. So he gave, you know, like a young Dessean Jackson for us. MMM. So that's actually a really good, good suggestion. Yeah, I would love to see that. Maybe we can get will gie a job with what the birds? Yeah, well, in case you're wondering, Willie is, his real name is John Roselli. He's a friend of ours from Fantasy League football. He's been the commissioner of one of the leagues we were in and he's pretty knowledgeable on his and...

...his football stuff. I would definitely be interested in in one of these. There's plenty of options out there. You know there are, there are you just hey, that's why Howard Rosen's getting paid big money. That will find no guys. He apparently he was asleep at the wheel with Carlos Hide, but then and he made the right moves last year and it paid off for us. I'm going to trust that he does that again this year. Yeah, I mean, so you can get Jji for a fourth round pick. You know, Yep, Yep, kind of his steel. We got somebody that's Sir Avalon briant. Hey, Brian, guys, where is the energy? Guys? We're missing our energy. Yeah, you're not in the studio, man, I know. You know what, we've got the soccer today and we've got family photos. I think it's five o'clock now. You guys both follow me on facebook. You think by now my wife would happened up to go just a photo shop me into and let me skid by it because you got more important things to tend to. It just hasn't work that way, though, unfortunately. I hear. Yeah, Sosten, guys waiting. Last week, we can half ago against giants. Hmm, what's the thought tomorrow? What are you guys feeling? Gout instinct, by God, Dj well, I mean Newton's numbers against US statistically are horrible the last couple of years. He's not very good against us, so that's obviously encouraging to see. But this defense still worries me. The secondary still worries me, even the good performance they had last week. It's it's still makes me nervous every time they're out there. You know what, when's the big play coming? Down Field and Carolina's offense isn't very good. I mean, McCaffrey can hurt you a little bit, but they don't really have a much of a receiving receiving core. So I think the Eagles, obviously I think they're going to win. I think they should win, but it's going to be I think. I think it's going to be close. I don't know what a spread as of yesterday was four and a half. Okay, I think the eagles hold that and then some. I think it jumped to five. It did jump their five. Okay, wow. Well, I think they hold that and then some. All, cell I see. I think it's a more of a fieldal time. Think, yeah, a seven to ten point lead really or win. Yes, Caroline, and I think we take them. I know that defense. I think we keep them at bay the entire time, keep them at arms length. You know it's going to be a close game throughout. It's not going to be a runaway. It's not going to be like it was Thursday night, but I think we're able to keep them at arms length throughout the course of the game. It would be great to see us get that early jump like we did. That's what was key last week. Absolutely it was key last week scorn on that first possession with a short field. You know, it'd be nice to duplicate that. I don't know if we will, but I see it's with providing we get that quick start, we get that early lead. I see Carolina trying to play catch up the entire game and not quite able to do it. I think we need to run the ball because they are their run defense is a little weaker. So I think if we can run the ball, take time off the clock, keep cam off the field because he can hurt you with both his arms, at both his arm and his legs. Other than Christian McCafferty, I don't see a real big threat between the two, you know, other than those two. You know, we need to keep Cam Newton contained. Don't let him get the edge that let them. Don't let them. That's what hurt us against Tennessee. Yeah, Marys, absolutely is exact. Absolutely we can't let him hurt us with his legs. We got to make them beat us with his arm. If we can do that, I think we do win the game, and we win it, you know, and decent...

...shape. It's not going to be a blowout like it was against the giants. But I think we win and we win keeping them at arms length, playing catch up the entire time. What do you got? A Baby, interesting, interesting, interesting, interesting. Well, you know what I see it kind of the same way right. I think they've got to stuff the box just because of what you mentioned. You Got Cam Newton, you've got McCaffrey, who I think is talented but I don't think he's a special as its high draft that gettated right and he's been you know, he's showing some flashes. Yeah, they do have some receiving weapons. You know, funches is a decent player, Dj more, the rookie receiver, has looked good at times and obviously Alston is and you know out there they've got some weapons that can hurt you. But I do think this team is starting to play with some momentum. I think that giants game, I think it builds momentum. I think it was a competence game for Carson and I think it was a confidence game for the defense to because to be can you got to get that ball turned over. Oh Yeah, you got to get a bumble, you got to get an interception, and he likes to do those things. He likes to play the giveaway game. So I think if they can get two or more turnovers with the defense, I think we cruise. And by crews I'm thinking something like a thirty five to seventeen win. Hmm, I think wow, later, wow. But you've got a Nice Crisp Fall Day tomorrow. It's going to be warm them. The ball is going to be dry. I think that's where this team excels. Hmmm, and you're going to sea. I think you saw last year kind of coming out of the woodwork, kind of coming back to form. That would be nice. I think turnovers are key. That was a big part of the defensive production last last year were the turnovers. I don't know the numbers as far as plus, but I know it was double digits on the plus side and I think you know again that was the big key last week. And if we can get, you know, a plus two in the turnovers, that would go and especially with the short field, you know they're side at a fifty, that sort of thing. That will go a long way to keep in that game in the comfortable range for us. I don't know about a doubling their score. That's HMM, that's that's a little tough for me to come out and say that. If we can get those turnovers, I I see us slowly getting back to our form of last year. I agree with you. They're especially playing at home, with the crowd behind them, making it difficult maybe for Cam in the fourth quarter, but I don't know about doubling up their score like we did last week. I think caroline is a little little bit better of a team than the giants are. There a little more of a test than the giants were for us. I mean they nearly lost to him the week before and yeah, well, yeah, that's that's true. Yet a giant show one that. Yeah, sixty three order, yeah, how about that? Back to back here, sixty one, young sixty three. I love it. I love it. The only team that could be better. That happens against too, is, of course, the boys. Yes, but I'll take it against a giant's hey. Yeah, you want to talk. Any sixers are ab well, I do, but I'm a chance a question ahead. And the trade deadline coming up on October. I mentioned it before the season that I thought they should have cut there and sprowls and you got had a heart attack Deacon, I was worried about your mouth. I was a little worried someone Taylor would have had to pick it up, but we would have saved it. We would have shocked you. Maybe that would have been something to see on the facebook live here right, given a mouth the mouth to think facebook band such content. Yeah, they anyway. After Tom Brady's no comment on that. But listen, how disappointer do you guys and how he doesn't make a move? Now, I'm not saying it's got to be leveyond bell, but there's a lot of moves to be...

...had for Duke Johnson swirled out there. There's other there's other running backs to bill well. There's other receivers of bill well. I don't know that I go to you Mauri Cooper route, because he's a fourteen million dollar cap hit next year. I don't know if I do, shady, but how disappointer do you guys if he doesn't bring in another weapon? I will be fairly disappointed if nothing happened and I don't think we're good enough at running back to carry us through with the four that they have, and that includes Darren sprowles. I would like to see him make a move and get somebody. You know, it would be nice to get one of two three that they were originally talking about, them being McCoy, Johnson and bell. Now to Carlos Hide is off the market. I don't know who else would be available. As far as a running back, I've heard wanted to running backs out of Atlanta might be, you know, worth taking a look at. You know that that made one of those guys made work, but I would be disappointed if nothing was to happen. I mean, look what happened to us last year when we picked up a JI. You know, it gave the whole team a big boost. You know, we had guys dropping left the right with the injuries and we brought in a JI and it really picked up the team. And I don't know if it necessarily at this point, I don't know if it necessarily has to be a running back. Almost to the point where just get as something. Get us something that's going to give the offense a spark, give the offense another weapon, give somebody to throw the ball to, take some pressure off of outshon Jeffrey, take some pressure off of Zach Artz. You know, make another get another receiver that the the defense has to worry about, or make it another running back, anything. You know, I'm at the point where I'll take anybody just to get mix it up. Give us another weapon, give somebody else for the defense to worry about, because it's my opinion that if we stand put where we're at, then I don't know if it's going to be enough to carry us through because look at that, that lineup we had in the backfield last year with blunt, clement and and a giant. You know, that's a big three that you really got to worry about. And then we you know, we had some Nelson Aguilar last year. He really, you know, picked it up and proved himself worthy of a first round dray pick. He kind of had a little bit of a drop seats earlier in the in the year, especially that game when we were at the tennis at Tennessee. He played pretty well last last week. He had some some nice catches last week, I think. Did He have a touched? I think you had to touchdown last wee this week. Yeah, no, I think I'll shown at all the passes receiving touchdowns. I think not. Our earts had one. Al Shana to okay then our better side want. Okay, yeah, so, you know, hopefully Al go agil are starting to pick it up a little bit, but yeah, I would definitely like us to go get somebody. I would be disappointed if we didn't. Yeah, I agree. I I think it's crucial right now for this team to make a move before the trade donline, especially with the matchups they have, coming up against a lot of good defense has. You know, you can never have enough firepower. So I agree. I think I would be disappointed. I wouldn't be devastated if they didn't make a move because I still think they're capable of making a run with the team they have now, but not as deep as we would think, you know, as we did last year. But I'm I think it's crucial that they make a move. I would be disappointed if, how he doesn't make some calls. Yeah, I agree. I think a move is critical, whether it's on the offensive side of the ball or even a defause. Yeah, yeah, I don't know who I mean talk about that are but you know, you're lacking in depth. They're aluding. Not has been a disappointment not being able to get off, you know, get rid of the injury bug and you know some of those, like I mentioned earlier, some of those guys getting a little bit older. You know, you need another motor guy out there. I don't know, has to be a big name. Yeah, but defensive line might be a good move. But again, I...

...think if you can bring in another running back or wide receiver through a trade, I don't want to wave from wire guy now. Jordan Matthews was sitting home for a reason. I don't think Jeremy Macklin, whenever he gets healthy, is the answer. Maybe two years ago he was. I don't know. I give Tampa a call. DESHAAN's done after next year. I'm sure he'd love to come home and they're probably not in the playoff hunt after you know, starting off hot, it kind of been exposed a little bit that you ed at least try to be aggressive. And you know you're in a go for it now most because you're still loaded. Carson still on a rookie contra right, you're not going to have that flexibility. Nope us. I know you're going to have to go after it now. H I guess I make the move. I tend to think that how you'll do something. I just hope to big enough to propel them further. Will See, the window of opportunity is only open for so long and right now it is still open and I agree a hundred percent. They've got to go for it. You know, you can't think you're going to make a run every year because in this sport you never know how injuries are going to shake out and you've got to be able to overcome them, like they did last year, with whoever you have on your team, and the more weapons you have, the better off you are, the better chances you are you have of going further in the playoffs. That you brought up an interesting position on the team, defensive line, Timmy Jarny again. Is this guy ever going to come back? We're going to see him again that she said. They're hopeful that he does. See he was backed at pretty he wasn't practicing, but he was finally back in person with the team this week in practice, so that's a good sign. I mean LEA's, yeah, back with the team, but he's not doing any contact oils. No, he's just he's just sitting to watch and you know, yeah, getting back in the form of things. What do you got back? And I think I read all. I think I read online. Clan pointed out that's there. He's in the building, but he's not available for media availability. Okay, it's a little bit telling, you know. Yes, we're got a rookie, so he's a veteran. He be able to. I don't see he's got to provide an update, but he should be able to at least if he's coming close to your back or he's not hiding something. I think you'd be a big enough to be able to answer a few questions. Yeah, it will do that. That worries me a little bit. Okay, yeah, yeah, all right, real quick. Got Anything the sixers? We have another caller coming in for some fantasy football talk. You got anything on the center's real quick, there, listen, I'm headed down there tonight. I'm excited as I've ever been. Really, it's not about full it's about m beat. This season I think Joel m beat a Leetle yet MVP can. I totally agree, but nobody dominates like a big man that can do what he does. I mean the other night he's he's not playing guard, come on duties out on the three stop. I think he's JJ. He has one of the Best Post Games in the league. If, and why is any on the block? All the can shoot the outside. Show that we can't. That's thirty percent, is not. That's that's Today's NBA Center. Now. Yes, it is not the and they need to go back in time and get the guy at seven foot two. It's just one hundred and seventy five pounds on the low block. That's I'm sorry. It drives me up a freaking wall that this guy goes out on the three and launches five and six three. He's a game. He hate it on the block. The I have no problem. I think he should shoot two to three trees game waiting go. I'm okay, we do. I don't. I don't want him pulling trees in a fast break. I don't want to set up as it's three. If they stag off him on the defense, they give it to him. I want him to shoot it because he does have to fill in the gap. We're Ben Simmons can't shoot. So he's a little bit of a threat and...

...this league is a dual threat. Leak so or, you know, multi faceted, but you're right. Him on the block. Yes, nobody the league guard. No, I mean not downlone. You Know Orlando Magic. Tonight he should drop forty five. Yeah, that's well. Well, if I'm Prett Brown, he shoot. If two possessions in a row, he shoots at three, he takes a seat on the bench. That'll stop. He's not that type of player. He's not that come on. Yeah, it just drives me Nust that he shoots the three. Well, as I wrote on facebook after the first game, nothing matters anymore until they can beat the Celtics, and right now this season, I don't see it how and nothing matters. Then nothing matters because they're not beating the celts unless they get knocked out by somebody else in the playoffs. On sexers go nowhere. And then we got to face Toronto. I think they could beat Toronto with this lineup? I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. Cue. They're not beating the SALTIC, so it doesn't matter. They I hate to say, as I hate to sell. They might make a move though, this year. They might get another star in here who does sisters. I don't know. That's not happening. Not Happening, not happening. They've got the flexibility to get cap room up after this year, not in season. Remember your only I heard the process was along five years. No, this is the first season that you had a healthy and beat in the off season and hooks like he's in shape. Yeah, you have a healthy faults. You have a whole healthy Simmons Dario, once he gets his legs back from playing from the form the national team. You've got him going. I don't think it's all lost if you don't get through the Celtics, but I think you've got to get to the Eastern Conference finals. Yes, are you king? Yeah, yeah, I got a progress from last year, that's for sure. All right, a be thanks for the call. I boys will good luck with your fantasy and thank you. Thanks. And, even though it doesn't matter anymore, enjoyed the game tonight. Yeah, well, I don't think anything matters. A worris are going to win again, so that's true. Till is, I missed a young up yad or. I'm going to from through now. Okay, give me one sect, sure. Yeah, that just drives me though. It's that that guy thinks he's a freaking three point shooter. Well, he's jacking up ten threes a game. He shouldn't be jacking up more than like Brian said, no more than two or three, and I think so far he's probably done that the two games that they played. I saw him two possessions in a road a last game again Chicago, shoot up to and he missed both teams. BOOTHI MSS are. Yeah, Hey, do you dare? Tommy, I'm here, Bud. What's going on? How we going? I'm good. How are you gonna? We're hanging in there and yeah, yeah, all right, yeah, we're hanging in there. I'm I'm sitting here at sesame place, taking a few minutes out from the real world. I was wondering what that Louise was in the background. I didn't I didn't want to ask a question that. I didn't want to know the answer to that. So I'm glad you clarified what was going on. If they're going to criminate yourself, do it first. All right, all right, how is sessame? You got picked a good day, picked that good afternoon for there. Oh, yeah, I'm I'm having a ball to do it again. That's week. All right. You got passes or are you just there for today? No, no, we got the season pass. So you got to get them in before they close party time constantly. Yeah, yeah, that's cool. That's cool. Good Family Times always a good day. We got a big week coming up, right. Yeah, we do the Paris yes, we. My team, seat needs some wins, man, we need some wins. One, my one team is struggling. Yeah, well, we'll say we're we my brother...

...in law just dropped Amari Cooper and picked up Chub. I think we dropped cooper. Yeah, yeah, we picked up Chub and drop cooper. That's good. Yeah, yeah, I'm well, and the only reason why we were able to do it is because we're, I'll high in the pecking in the order for free agent moves, because our record is to in more for yeah, sure, we're help. Yeah. Yeah, I'm hoping so, because we needed to start making some headway here in the division. This is the this is the expensive league that I'm minutes, the four hundred and sixty league. Yeah, you want to win, this is the one you want to win. Yes, buck twenty five for a high score each week. There you go. That's yes. We haven't gotten one yet, though. Plenty of time left. Yeah, yeah, there is. There is. So who who you looking at this week? If, like my brother in law just and I just did. Who you look into a pick up? He got anybody on the radar that might be available already, so that's good. I would look at Edo Smith from the Falcons. HMM. He scored three weeks in a row. He's actually getting more carries and there's rumors that he's going to get more carries than Coleman. That's good. And I would also look at Trey Quan Smith of the Saint and he's going to be arrest of the year, the guy. They just put Ted Guint on at Ir did they? I didn't know that did. Yeah. so He's a Sean. Payton loves this kid and has been one of to get him in the offense more and more. Two weeks ago when they played the Redskins, he had two touchdowns and a hundred yards. So they're he's going to be heavily involved. So if you have room to grab a wide receive, yeah, he's he's the guy there. Yeah, and that's there to top offense where everybody touches the ball a few times a game at least. Yeah, I mean they got a couple of tough match ups coming up, but there's still the saints. It's still breathe. I mean the bye week already, so you don't go forward? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I have a breeze. You guys, especially God not. That's all right, guy. Now, I was just said to me important for you, like get too, and for yere anyway. Else in that situation you need wins. You don't want to have guys take them by weeks now, right, exactly right. You're dead on about that. Yeah. Well, the problem this week is the saints are going to Baltimore to play that number one defense and this yes, they are in the saints have had trouble stopping all the teams. I mean they've gone to the wire with Cleveland, Tampa Bay and Atlanta and none, none of those teams really scare anybuddy at night. And so they're going to have to they're going to have to score some points. That, I think the saints this week to win. I mean not that not that badimores offense is lighten it up, but you know, at Baltimore with that defense, the Orleans might have trouble scorn. You remind the saints that played five of their six games this year been indoors. MMM, the one get one game outdoors was against the giants. HMM and breeze had less than ten fantasy points. Wow, wow, and we all know how to we all know how the giants play, and you especially know how to giants play. But we won't go there. This could be a tough week to get the measurables on it just because of the matchup being outdoors, being in Baltimore. But going going forward, I mean the saints play the Ravens this week and have Minnesota next week. Oh Wow, so after that they get a little break defensively. You know, that's yeah, that's some serious tough night shows.

Yeah, and tight endwise I would look at Austin Hooper the news banged up. Ridley's banged up. They said they're both going to play on Monday night but probably probably be limited and they're probably one tackle away from leaving the game. Okay, you know, so cooper's a good target there, since we don't Huyo doesn't sport touchdown right. Yeah, yeah, it's amazing that guy that, with the amount of catches and yards that guy gets, he just doesn't score a whole lot of touchdowns. I don't get it. I hear I'm actually going to put an article up. I've been thinking about it. Is he still considered a first or stuck around pick? MM, just based on getting yard well, if you're in it right, if you're in it in a PPR league, then you know, you see, you do have to still consider them at number one because he does get the ball a lot. But when you're looking at when you're looking at points, yeah, right, in a standard league, I don't know if he is worth a one or two because if the lack of touchdowns, you're exactly right in that assessment. Yeah, it's get a little scary right now, to that point that you can have that conversation. HMM. Yeah, it's hard. It's hard to swallow and like even doing ranking, Hmm, I'm sitting there, I'm like, can I put this guy out of the top five or in a week I might be losing my mind. But right to that point, right. Yeah, yeah, it's a shame because he you know, he's a great talent, but they step makes your head scratch your head a little bit here and there. Yeah, definitely, definitely. I don't other than it, maybe Baker Mayfield is or any quarterback worth picking up schedule. Yeah, he's good if he's available yeah, Winston, when you think James Weinstein, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's your yeah, II. Yeah, you're right about your biscay. He's coming around a tough week this week, though. Yeah. Any others you, as Patriot, could throw out there for a quarterback? No, I mean if Baker's of no, well, his next four weeks are very favorable. MMM, to see where you're at there. But yeah, those are the three free agents. Don't pick up rock afflile. That we're we're talking about him earlier. One good week, everyone's get all excited it. Yeah, yeah, we've seen this show before. Yes, yes, definitely, I hear you're on that one. Right. Coors of sneaky play this week. Cool, he's available. HMM. Then Kenyandra going to score this week? Okay, you know he's one of those guys you're going to get forty yards and he needs to get to touch down for the right right. That guy is he's got to be thirty five ish now, at least, right. I mean the guy's been around forever. It's really incredible that he's been a number one at the running back position around this long and number two still being a productive player. I mean that really hasn't happened since Curtis Martin. You know, it's just amazing how this guy still hanging around and still talking up points for people. More more to him. He's perfect in a committee. You know out. Yeah, exactly exactly, and you know, of course he's you guys can take over for yeah, yeah, he's not going to be a one er or two, but if you need it and you need a body in there, then...

...why not? Good luck guy this week. Yeah, exactly exactly. Well, we're we're going to have to wrap it up with you, Tom I just want to bring it, bring the attention to the one thing. I didn't know if you heard earlier, but my son Dj here is with me and I want to explain the DJ. Who you are, Tom this is this is a friend of PAT blombs that we're speaking with, a childhood friend of Pat Blomska from many moons ago, and I've found out, I yes, I found out through Pat and the Cole the last time we were at the House, that that pat is a lifelong giants fan and mets fan, growing up on Dunks Frairi road. Really, yes, in fact, his parents house you could almost see from the back of our house he that they're not quite in the breezeway view, but they're they're they're slightly off of that put. You could almost see their honest none of that. I won't. Chief Knights coming up, man. Yeah, yeah, but he's not their fault. Now, this guy, somehows, a lifelong giants and mets fan growing up on Dunk's ferry road and park would but more often right. Yeah, you had, you had pat hanging around with you. So he took care of your your I work for you help. Yes, yeah, that's cool. Yep, thanks Tom of the show and we'll talk to you later. Yep, you take care. Talk to you all right. Well, I hope you got some pointers there. Maybe answer some questions you might have had about picking somebody up for the stretch run that's coming up in a couple weeks for fantasy football. We're at the hifway mark for fantishy football if you play thirteen week schedule, and I think that's going to be it for this week. You got anything to add to the showed? Are Tailor. I expect one to my I do too. Yeah, yeah, three. Are you going down to work? I will be there. Yeah, cool, Big Day tomorrow. Yeah, Brian Dawkins. Oh, that's right, be right. Yeah, man, he'll be coming through. Hey, what what do you think about getting some some Sandy boot first guys backstage somewhere for that? It's not my call. And this care lay around like that. Don't not. Not Really, not really. Come on, man, you got the truck sitting out. They'll end the parking lot. I just drive the truck. I don't owe you know what I mean. I drive it. My name is not on anywayw yeah, I was hoping for are you going to be able to meet him at all or now? I mean he's in and out. Yeah, yeah, he that's like the busiest day. Yeah, you know. I mean where are you stationed, so to speak? Somewhere between the x Fini entrance in the pro shop. Okay, okay, so you don't. You don't go into the stadium to watch the game or anything, do you? I could, but I am obligated to bring back a vehicle to a station. I got you once we are done. Yeah, right, Gotcha. Oh, well, then you got to watch it on TV somewhere. So I mean TV's probably better than the press box. HMM. Yeah, not allowed the cheer now. Nothing. He gotta Act Accordingly, a professional. Yeah, and we know that's tough for you to act perhaps, having come on, I'm here to have fun, I here write down notes. I think that all right, folks. That wraps it up for an all the show. Thank you for joining us. Hope you enjoyed and we'll be seeing you next week. Say Yeah,.
