Yeah, put it. Good Morning Football Fans, you are listening live to another episode of the saying no bowed first podcast, brought to you from the wildfire radio studios power by Wallfarre Sports. This is your cohost this morning, Jim Marcus. Thanks for coming along. We also have in the studio with me here, immediately in front of me, the magnificent one, Mr Dick Martin. Good morning, sir, good morning. Things good, very good. And then to his left we have the young Mr Martin. Dj Morning, Sir. Morning, how are you good? Living A dream? Yeah, every day, every day. And then behind the glass we have rick, producer today. What's going on? Rick? Doing good, man, doing it, feeling it, Saturday, loving it. Saturday. It's Dallas hate week. MMM, extra little bit of juice today, and an actual little bit of juice in our coffee maybe this morning? Yes, just a little, just a little. All right, let's let's get into it. Work live on facebook for anybody. What's the check in on the social media there also if you have some hate dispew. You know, we're normally very relaxed, calm, loving, friendly gentleman. Would raise that way. It's a raise the proper way. But if you want to subu some hate this week, you could give us a call. The number is eight hundred and fifty six, four hundred and five, seven, eight hundred and sixty six zero. Call in, give us your favorite Dallas story, your favorite hate the face. We were posting this week on social media on our twitter account. Favorite hate the face cowboys. I think my number one hate the face on the cowboys most of all Michael Ervn. HMM. He's the one cowboy I can't stand and he's everywhere. Yeah, yes, man, I, man. I go back little further than that. I don't know. Tony Thorset, I couldn't stand him. Roger Stallback, wouldn't stand him. For me, just you could put the whole damn franchise off as h hate the face. Let's let it find. I can't stand the very existence of the entire franchise. I I literally cannot stand them. You never bought a new America's team. Hell No, Hell No. And at that thing started that was a self proclaimed names by them, title, by them. I know it's through NFL films, but they gave it to themselves. And what really hurts a little bit is John Facenda was the God. It said and he was a local Phil under voice. Yes, and just where it all started in the you know, when I started really starting to follow and get into it and on the stand everything about professional sports, early s maybe even one thousand nine hundred seventy or so old. Yeah, and just in the eagles absolutely stunk in those days. They were brutal. They only played fourteen games. So there were there were a few two and twelve. You know, Ye want pre buddy? Yeah, right, yeah, there was a lot of bad, bad, bad football being played down at Vegan stadium in those days. And you know, every week Dallas was the late game. They were the four clock game. There was no such thing as a four hundred and twenty five game. They were they were two four clock national game every week and they were good. Not Going to tonight. That they were good. And so they're on every week. They got the cheerleaders. You know,...

I didn't mind that thirty twond clip too much. You know, that was that was okay. But then you you have Roger Stallback, you know, Mr Goody two shoes. You Got Tom Landry and his fedor and that the arms crossed and that arrogant, smug look on his face every week and there was always a couple kids in the neighborhood. I remember specifically one kid that just they like the cowboys and it just irked me to no ends. You know, you live in Philly, supposed to be a Philly Guy, you supposed to root for your home teams, regardless of how bad they are. You know, because, as we've talked before, when it's time to celebrate, your stand on the corner by yourself celebrating, there's nobody there with you. So all through the the S, you know into the late the s when the Eagle started finally getting some respect and being good, but Dallas was still always the team on with the late game. They were never they were it was a never one o'clock game on, unless they were playing the eagles. Then they were to one o'clock game, and it just drove us nuts to have to watch that every week. And that Smug, arrogant you know, people in the stands wearing the fur coats. They arrived late, leave early. They know they're going to win. Just everything about their their whole arrogant. They were Auntie Philly in the sense that phillies a blue collar team. Work Hard, get your work done, Dallas was, you know, rich, flashy, flashy oil money. And you know, meanwhile every all of us are, you know, we're working in factories, warehouse is whatever, and it was just everything they were to Auntti Philadelphia, everything Philadelphia stood for. They were. They were the opposite of it. All right, so D had a little bit the gain of his chest. Yeah, I can't stir. We can't. We could get into the later generations of cowboys hate. At first it sounds like we have our first Keb we hate on the line. Okay, so we got a call her on the l the line. Had call her. How are you? What your name were you calling from? Hey, it's David, friend girl place from the pasts up there. Dave, I know, I know, you know Dallas hate week. So I gotta give my two cents, do I not? I Miss My guy. We appreciate it for for any of our new listeners. David, Mr Fenster was Finster Damas. He had many names, the champ, many names. He was one of our founding podcast father's here, m that's great to have you on here energy every week. Last last year he was crushing the giants and we laughed at them. And Look it's again, David, I think you money kirs them because they're not doing very well this year either. Listen, I said the same thing. I said the same thing this year, that they's just they don't have it. There's this if Eli manager quarterback, you're not going to win football game play it, simple as that. A great all right, today you're you're a younger guy, but I'm sure you have some Dallas hate. You're also season ticket older. So let's hear what you got, what he's flowing from you today. Let's listen put you so so during my days growing up, you know, it's out cowboys. They haven't really been much of a threat to the equals, to be quite honestly. But the one thing that I will say about the Dallas Cowboys and the One guy one I'm going to say that I hate the former equal himself who became at Dallas Cowboy, and that's we're alone. And I'll tell you why. When Teo went to the cowboys, everyone that I knew in middle school, elementary school that was an eagles fan, a lot of people that I knew which over to the dark side and started rooting food out cowboys, specifically parrel Owen and I'm like, what the Hell Are you doing? That makes no goddamn sense. But Po with the popcorn and the flash of star everyone just wanted to jump ship and I was like, uh, I'm staying right with my green guys. I'm not about that. I'm a season ticket holder and a boot first originator. I don't like doubt cowboys...

...and Teo fit the perfect mold of a cowboy. Yeah, flashy, look at me, yeah, I can do yeah, he does. He still doesn't right now with the whole of Thames feel yeah, I'm glad. I think that's something. Yeah, I agree, and I'm looking at Dj too, because you guys are on the younger side of the spectrum here and in the room and on the phone here. So you guys. I agree with the David. I think your version of the Cowboys Eagles rivalry, well, was still rivalry. We pretty much for kicking the assess. Yeah, we pretty much owned on the last twenty years. Six, yeah, thirty seven and nine, last year, forty four, tw six, the year for the playoffs. I mean, yeah, I think the cowboys, like Dave said, they really haven't been a threat in my lifetime. You know, it's nice beating them up every year. I I love it and I think it's going to continue it for years to come. I mean this team looks like it's going nowhere, especially with Jerry running it exactly. And Jerry Jones comments that you want to give back a cop. Yeah, that you guys. I want to ask you. What do you guys make of those comments? I love it because that continue to be in the toilet. Yeah, I hope he follows through. Yeah, I want to see Garrett stay. There is coach, the clapper stay on board as the coach and rain the courti stays. Are Cool. They want he's faking up the joy. Yeah, yeah, Jerry, Jerry. You know, he had a lot of success early on, but that was the leftovers from the Jimmy Johnson her and then ever since then, ever since Jimmy's gone, the team has really floundered and done nothing. You know, they're before, before Jerry came on, the original owners of a team, there was never really any down time. They started out slow through the early s into the late s. They were they were not a very good team. And then it with the ice ball against Green Bay, I think in sixty seven, to get into the actually to get into the first super bowl. They you know that. That's when they started to get good. And then they they were good all through the the s. They want a couple super bowls. They had a little down time in the S, but then they picked it right back up in the late s into the S, and but then, ever since then, it's been a down dayn time for them and I love every second of it. All right, Dave, before my God, before we let you go, that was that was a great sum up right there. I love that. That's the great start of my morning. But we're getting we're gonna get them to to my wheelhouse of the cowboys and let my hate start to flow. So it'll be before we let you go, Dave. What do you got on the game? No more easy. He was win walk away. I got a blow out. Hell, I'll have it's a blacked out. It's a blackout. I'm going to I'm going to the game. I've missed the past couple do to some family stuff, but go, we're back in black the cowboys are going to get round. Seeks Not gonna do anything and Carson went to is gonna throw a four touchdown. Call it for for cars and right this kid. Like I said, yeah, he was always on point with one of his predictions. So is that? Is that how many logos you had last night? The amount? All right, David. Like I said, David was all with us, stand a boot. So we known for football guy. But, Dave, once you give a plug, you're also huge hoops fit, hoops head with the fifth quarter podcast, and you want to give a quick plug for you guys. Are Doing now? Oh, absolutely well and, as a matter of fact, when you guys were done at eleven o'clock. If your listeners want to go over to nty the thursaycom myself in my colleague Brian Hawsey, will be going lot from bottom sports radio studios and we'll be talking to sixers, some eagles. We're going to have a guy from seven three again, Michael Casky, blow main on with us to talk to victor's recap the game last night in the grizzlies game in...

...the night and we'll also talk about those evil cowboys game tomorrow night. And you can follow us at the fifth two heg he hif the Q on twitter and instagram. So there's my plug for you. All right, Dave, great to hear from you take care of good luck. Great here from you, Dave Seek. I hope you break some Harry tomorrow. I got a jar sitting on my kitchen car. Guys, thank grab me on say it either. Fine, all right. So now going to let some of my hate flown. Powered, let me hear, I'm powered by a little Cappuccino this morning and a little pop. Little POPs still touch in Cappuccino are tonight, little little flavoring. Yeah, so I was the Emmett Smith are yeah right, Irvin Eateman, Smith, Harper, Larry, Al Eric Williams, J no of a check, Chris Bowlio, I hated them all. Jerry Jones with his third outlet. Jimmy Johnson, I mean this perfect hair. He deserved every snowball he got thrown in him. Damn skippy. It was just Sundays watching that star and they did. They got all and they were good then. So don't don't me think that they got promotion that they did deserve. They were one of the best teams in the League. They were wouldn't super bowl. So Hmmm, rights rightfully show. They got some some time on TV. But you talk about kids growing up in this area, and David said just because TL was over there. They become cowboys for yeah, that's bad party, it's weak, that's just flat out bad parents. If you raise your kid as a cowboys fan where you can't an't get your kid away from that dark side, that's bad parent. Putting that out there. All Right, agree. So it was. I still remember Monday night game against the cowboys. I was up at college and it was in the hey days of the cowboys being great and was kind of coming to the end for Reggie and Philly and they crush the cowboys that night and one of my favorite plays start the game was Reggie just crushing trade egment and were in my apartment at the time of a college is screaming get o't got, I'll get it, just eat. You felt like you were there, even though we're watching it on heavy and they the juice just for these cowboys games. It just takes it to another level. Yeah, it's great. I love it, but I hate them. I hate using the word hate so much I'm letting to hate flowtus. Yeah, I'm not one for using the word hate. I agree. There's a difference between a human hate and a sports heate. Right, this is a sports heate. Okay, it's not a human hate, and I yes, I despise the very existence of the team on the entire franchise. I just just something and, like I was saying earlier, they are the antithesis of everything Philadelphia stands for and it just drives me insane. And Buddy Ryan, to his credit, got what Philly was all about and even though the eagles weren't that good when he first came around, he understood what the Dallas Philly ravalry meant to us here in Philadelphia. You and he took it to a whole new level. He revived that that rivalry. It's never really been, I don't think, especially pre one thousand nine hundred and eighty five. Never really a big time rivalry in Dallas. And you know, let's not forget their real rival is Washington reds. Yeah, they're the reds kids. They the whole cowboys and Indians. They care about us. What they care about the Redskins? Yes, yes, so they're there. Their thing is is the Washington reds kids. But when buddy came around, he really stoked that fire, first of all for the fans of Philadelphia, and I think he, you know, with with the Poor Chuck Bowl, Pork Chop Bowl, the Bounty Bowl, dad game. That's what it be cabcam personal for buddy with yeah, yes, absolutely, throwing the snowballs at Jimmy Johnson, all those things. That's when it became it took another it got raised to another level and that's you know, people really got...

...into that and to his credit, because unfortunately buddy never did anything in the city as far as football is concerned. But to his credit he really reinvigorated that, the rivalry with the cowboys, I think because it was on the downslide a little bit. The Eagles were starting to be bad again. You know, it was the post super bowl run in eighty. The cowboys were okay, but they weren't the cowboys from ten years earlier and it kind of added and float a little bit. But then he stoked it all again and it's it. I don't think it's rested since. Yes, and to buddies, I guess Thatcherman. He was he was a defensive Monday king. Yeah, so he focused on beating them up maybe more than being right. He put was those energy and it is okay. I would have liked the wind if you were sure that he has his team built to stop them? Yes, but never really focused on the how do we how we beat the how do we score against them? Because they had a great defense as well back yes, and it's and I had this conversation with DJ while agoing. It's interesting you said that back in the S, before Dick for meal came on board, you know, the cowboys kicked our ass every twice a year, didn't matter. And then when Dick for meal came on board, he, to his credit, he understood that to in order to make the playoffs, we have to start beating the cowboys and he started to build his team around beating the cowboys. He wasn't so worried, he wasn't worried so much about the rest of the conference because he knew he had to take care of the division first and in order to take care of division, that that road ran through Dallas. And when he started to build the team to compete against and to beat the cowboys is when the Eagles started to get good in the late s culminating with the with the Super Bowl run in one thousand nine hundred and eighty. And he understood that and he built the team around beating the cowboys and that's that's when the Eagle started getting good in the late s. So let's focus then, on current day and this game coming up tomorrow. I thought that after what happened last week in a Washington and all the injuries they took, that Dallas game was going to be huge and Dallas is going to come in here and we're going to be competing for first place. Da Prescott is horrible. They got their asses handed to them last week by the titans and and maybe we shouldn't laugh too much because the titans also beat up on us when we were down there seeing that live. It's going to sit with me the rest of the season. But they look bad. The cowboys look bad and they have some injuries this week that's gonna make them look worse. I know a few weeks ago on the show we were talking about overrated players. I was focused more on Rogers and Odell Beckham, but I also put out Shawn Lee there and you guys kind of yelled at me and laughed at me and said you can't say Shawn the he's he's got whole cowboys defense and he's the one that keeps this cowboys going, but he's never on the field and that's going to be the same this week. That's an issue. Yeah, you know, he's one concussion away from retirement. In my opinion, and I think our whole premise was when he's on the field, he kills it. He's a I think he's a really, really, really good linebacker. He covers sideline, the sideline, he can cover tight end, you can cover a running back blitz as well, you know, and he's everywhere and he's and he makes all the calls on the defense. You know, I think he's the complete package when it comes to being a linebacker. Fortunately, he can't stay on the field, and that that old cliche, worn out coach speak. The best ability is available aailability. So this guy's never there. So yeah, I but I still think the Dallas defense is still good even without shawly, they still have the Marcus Lawrence, Jalen Smith,...

...this Guy Vander ass the rookie, who looks good. So I mean they still have some playmakers. But you're right, Shawn Lee is absolutely the heart and soul that defense and not having him it might change their defense. You know, maybe they don't have as much confidence because they know their guys out there. Yeah, and their lines beat up. This week to so Taco Charlton is Ya. This week Randy Gregor, he's out again. So I think that's the first line to defend, because that's saying. But the defensive line, if that's that's be up and the guys like Jaylen Smith and Vanderess, she's still rookie. He he does look good, but without their leader they're shown Lee. Right. What does that mean for this defense tomorrow? And if this defense can help slow our offense down, their offense can do nothing, it seems like. HMM. Yeah, they date. They obviously are missing their future hall of fame tight end now in the booth. They're missing Dez Zeke. Zek is going to be Zeke. He's going to get yards. You just got a limit the damage that he does and make Dak Prescott beat you with his arms, which I don't think he can do. That's another reason why you want Jason Garrett to stick around. Absolutely, because they started off that game Zeke was running well and then he disappeared. In second half. They went away from and they weren't losing big MM. Like. You got to commit to that when you have one of the premiere backs in the League. You need to commit to that run. Wasn't it sick? They was tied into the third quarter, wasn't it? They? Yeah, and then they just went away from him. I think he should look it up all around here, but I think he had less than ten touches in the second half. Really. Yeah, wow, yeah, that's that's on the coaching and that's horrible coaching, because if you trust Dak Prescott, I mean that's on you. You know, that's your funeral. I mean, this dude stinks. He just can't get it done. And the reason why he said he had such a successful rookie year is because he had Zeke where he could just turn around hand the ball off to him and it took a lot of pressure off of his shoulders. And you know, he could just throw it to days or the hall of fame tight end with and and you know they made him look good. But now he doesn't have any of those weapons and and it's starting to show how bad this guy really is. I mean when I said, well I said last year, that I would take Nick foles over Dak Prescott and I'm standing by that even to this year. This dude is not good. I mean, and I love when Jerry came out and said that they want to extend them. Please do. I mean that's another five ten years of the eagles dominating this division. This dude horrible. He you know, he was a fourth round draft pick and that's what he's become. Basically, he's becoming a fourth round draft pick. He's he he been picked at the correct spot. Apparently he's not even a game manager, though. That's a totally throw around with some of the quarter past that the guys that aren't flashy but the win you a game. He can't even do that. He's there. He's horrible. He's overthrowing people. They got cooper in there thinking that would help. But Mary Cooper, the more you look at his career, he seems she's like a Lazy Guy. He eats. It doesn't work. If he watches his his routes, he just if he knows the balls not coming to him, he he'sisted, MMM not get get engaged in the game. Yeah, yeah, and it's not going to help them. Yeah, and you know when that, that bothers me, when when players take plays off, you know, all right, so you're not getting the ball. Be a decoy, make the defense. Thank you're getting the because if I'm if I'm on defense and I see, if I pick up on a sign, you know, when I know he's going to be involved in the play, this is the way he comes up to the line of scrimmage. This is what he looks like. You know, Blah Blah, blah, Blah Blah. If he's not going to be involved in the play, he comes up to the line and at different print manner.

You know, you just pick up on signs when, when that's going on, I'm not going to be worried about my player that I'm supposed to be covering it. And that's one. When you act as a Dcoin, you come up to the line the same way every time. You're taking your defender with you wherever you go on the field. Right when you don't, and that the fender starts to pick up on that, he's just going to let you go. Yeah, and now you got to know the defender in the way of the ball, between the ball and the goal line. So you know, act like a D dcoin. Take her to friend there with you, wherever it is you go on the field. It's have you seen any Baltimore Ravens Games this year. Not Any clips from them. No, it's like Joe flacking. So they'll bring Lamar Jackson and FLACCO will go out to the receiver position and he doesn't eat, eat, he just stands like a statue, like he doesn't even position himself as if he's going to try to run. So, like you said that then the defenders can just cheat. All right, well, I know the ball is not going to flat. Oh all right, let me cheat in a little bit help my safety up. And did you see the Ravens game last week where they use Lamar Jackson as a receiver and he was wide open for the touchdown and Joe Bacco didn't even look his way. Yeah, I don't think they get along time. No love lost that. Yeah, and if I could, just got hurt in practice this week. Yeah, I saw that Lamar might have to start. Yeah, yeah, that only interesting. That's got her too. If you signed that's a shame and I'm pissed because I'm the idiot that held on to him in fantasy for this long. I drafted him early in the season. Yeah, after, I think like weak, for I said I'm done with him. Yeah, I I held on to them. I thought, you know, he's going to go somewhere eventually, and then he goes through this great offense and first full practice down port port test. We'll dropping x for him, right. Yeah, yeah, all right. So let's talk a little bit more about the specifics of the game tomorrow. Dj alluded to it the team. They're dressing for a funeral, right, they're wearing all black. Yeah, it's gonna be a cowboys funeral if they continue to play with Dak. MMM. So we're coming out and kind of make a statement. Yeah, yeah, we've been waiting all year for them to have that game. That says all right, we're back. They beat the Jags in London, but it was an uninspiring win. Mostly the defense held them through that game. You come out tomorrow night bloated doors off the cowboys. Everybody looks at the rest of the division and you say are well, it's the eagles division now to lose. Yeah, question. Yeah, I mean it's appropriate to wear black to a funeral and I think that's what tomorrow night is. I mean this cowboys team, you know, they're laying in that call and they're waiting for the final nail and I think the eagles put that final nail and the call from tomorrow night. I think they just run away with this a total blowout. I think the defense shows up despite the secondary injuries. I think the offense gets rolling big time the addition of Golden Tate. I think they incorporate that really well. Tomorrow night I think went has a big game. I just don't see this cowboys team putting not much of a fight, to be honest with you. I think they just want to get here, play and get home. I think they know the season's done for them and I think the Eagles win big. I do. Dallas is a desperate team right now and I think the question is, how great is that desperation? The desperation level may be really high, but I don't think they have the talent level to over, you know, get to that level desperation where they they're going to come out and win a game that they're not expected to win. I expect the eagles to win comfortably. I'm looking at at least a ten point when maybe more, and and that's where I expect this game to go. You know, the Eagles should get out to an early lead. I don't want them to coast. But I think they get out to the early lead and win comfortably and keep Dallas back pedaling all night long and get that W in a comfortable win. The way, the way, you know that at the bye week is out at a way. You...

...know how, way back when, when you go out on a Friday or Saturday night and you get all banged up and you're talking to wake up the next day? Well, I'm talking about the Super Bowl hangover. Okay, so way back in the day, way back in the day, you go out a Friday Saturday night, you get all banged up, you wake up the next day and say, please, just get me through to Monday, just get me through the Monday. I want to go back to work. I can't wait to go back to work. Just get me through to Monday. This is where the eagles are the first half of the season. was that that Saturday or Sunday we are saying, just get me through to Monday. I just I just got to get the Monday. Please get me to Monday. The hangover better be gone. The bye week is done. The bye week was their nap. Yes, what's the very after napping with the bottle gatorade? Sitting next to them. Jacks, is maybe a nice fatty breakfast alway. Yeah, it's going to see. Yeah, can and stuff. So we have all that out of our system out of the way. Now it's you know, Monday morning has arrived. As much as we all hate Monday mornings, I didn't mind the Monday morning after a weekend like that because I know I was still alive. Yeah, change a little bit off the end of the do what that lace? So now we're Monday morning for the Eagle season, okay, and they need to start taking care of business be the team that we expected them to be the entire season, because I really thought the only loss that they might have had in the first half was the Jacksonville game, right, you know, I may be the Minnesota game if they came in here with a big enough chip on their shoulder. Well, they totally threw that scenario out the window. So now it's time to to buck up, get it together and finish strong for the season and get into the playoffs. So you talked about what we expected this team to be and we haven't talk since the trade deadline and some other things have happened to this team. To see where we are going into this week. So first DJ mentioned we got Golden Kate. Now I love that trade. It's another weapon for Carson. Can never give him enough weapons. I question, though, some of the positions we needed help on that they didn't address. But then sprowls, you know he's hurt again. That's got you questioning. They brought him back. was that kind of okay? He's been a good player for us. He's a veteran. Let's throw him a bone. We know he says this is going to be his last season. It's not helping. He says he's getting there. Who Play this season? At this point you can't rely on him. HMM, sounds like whane's going to play. He got injured in the Jacksonville game. Mills got injured in the Jacksonville game. I don't know if that's good or bad. At the builds lately he's been playing. But they signed. They signed somebody from the bears. So maybe maddocks stays in its safety in this new cornerback they signed from the bears get some playing time. But what do we do? We think that this team that we're going to see the offense. We expect to see the rest of the season. So where do you see tape fitting in? He's Carson has been playing again an MVP level. I'm not worried about Carson. I'm worried about the backfield. On offense, we have her algymnt receiver right now, which I think is a good thing with the receivers that we have. But where do you see tape fitting in and what do you expect him going through the rest of the season? I think what they'll try to do is, you know, put them at anywhere they want really. I mean he's that type of player. I think he could play in the Slough or the outside. Obviously you'll still have Alshan as your number one, but you know, they can move tight to the tow or the slot or vice versa, acal are, and I think that'll be interesting and also fun to see because they're, you know, they're that valuable to this offense and I think it's going to work. Well. It might not happen right away. You know it...

...takes time, but I think they're going to make it work and I think it's going to be exciting. I think it hurts. I think it hurts Nelson. All right, nextcuse me, not Nelson Zach hurts more than it hurts Nelson, because tate he's just he's a slot player. He can get to the outside and I think you're going to bring him in here to play the slot. Yeah, and I think that's going to take some balls away from Zach, which I'm okay with. As long as he gets his five six catches a game, and that means it takes going to get seven or eight, I'm okay with it. Hmm, I really like picking up golden tape. He brings a couple dimensions to the team. You know, you can play anywhere, any one of the receiving spots. He can play and he you know, he picks up the yards after to catch. He's sure handed. He doesn't score a hole for the amount of receptions he gets and the yards that he gets. He doesn't score a ton of touchdowns. It would be ice to see him score, you know, closer to ten to twelve touchdowns a year. You know, I think he's in the single digits just about every year as far as touchdowns. It would be nice to get some more scores out of them. But I think he's the boost, the shot in the yard that this offense needs to start scoring more points. He'll get you down the field and then it's up to the rest of the offense maybe to score the ball, but I think he's the boost at this offense needs to start scoring more points and that has been an issue all season. As much as the defense has been suspect late in games, giving up leads, big leads in the fourth quarter. The reason why it's been a problem, and don't get me wrong, I'm not letting the defense off the hulk, off the hook, but the reason why it's been a problem is the offense. How many times do we score thirty or more points last year and that's just not happening this year. You know, we're in the we're in the teams are the low S. Yeah, and they got to start scoring upperts to thirty points. This is a scoring league. You have to score in order to win in this in this league, and it's conference especially to you look at the correct top of our correct exactly. They score a lot of points and even someone the bad teams in the conference, in the League can score points, you know. So you need to be ready to score points and I think adding golden tape just brings a whole that dimension to the offense. It's going to open things up. I think it's going to open up the running game. Conversely, not just a passing game, but I think it's going to open up because now you know it's another quality wide receiver that you need to pay attention to. You can't focus on Jeffrey, you can't focus on earths. Now you got it. You got it. You can't be bringing double teams to those guys. You got to worry about now cold and tape, and I think it's going to open up the middle of the field, it's going to open up the running game, take that guy out of a box on defense, all that, all that stuff, and I think it's going to really do well for the for the offense. I'm really looking forward to see how they use them, how he's incorporated into the game planes and what they can do with them. And you know, I look look to see that the offense starts scoring more point starting tomorrow night. Yeah, I'm excited about take till. I think it was a good pick up. It wasn't. It is a third round pick, but it was late, more like a fourth round there, and if he leaves, you get it compensatory pick. possibly. I was fine with it. I'm interested in seeing how we handle the running game going for it looked like in Jacksonville they may have finally said, hey, let's trust adams a little bit more. Yeah, he's the biggest guy in that backfield. He runs a little upright at times. It is kind of scary. He makes himself a bigger target the head, but it could be a nice change of pace with him, small wood and Corey back there. They just need to figure out a rhythm and I thought I don't think they've been able to do that. They had over a hundred yards against one of the best round sense and the jet and the jags, but it was very it was sporadic when they were running.

They bought a couple big runs here there. I think Adams was probably had the most arted you like sixty, and the other two guys just kind of sprinkled it here there. But you see teams that. You look at the Patriots, they seems like to have a different running back every week. They had the running correl Patterson and running back the other night. But they they have all their weapons that they can throw too, and I think that's what tate brings to us because if the running games not going, teams easily can key on it. Can, on Aw Shan, get your linebacker set on arts and then you take your chance one on them with Nelson, because he right back into that mode of you're not sure how he's gonna play every game. Yeah, yeah, I think the one thing that they really got to do tomorrow night is try to get the running game going and I want to see colory clement back in the mix of things. He's really kind of been absent the last couple of weeks, I think, and I don't know if it's, you know, what they're seeing in practice or on film, or maybe he's even still hurt. I don't know what's going on with them, but I think he's got a lot of talent. I mean he had a breakout year last year and I wish they would use him a little more, and I hope they do tomorrow night. I think he helps out the offense a lot. Yeah, I thought he'd have a bigger role. Yeah, disappointed what he's not doing, I guess. HMM. So you guys gave both gave your predictions about scores. What were you thinking about? I agree. I think this should be an easy game. It might not be that easy till later in the third quarter. I mean the cowboys will try to hang around a little bit, but I'm hoping this team comes out hyped up. I know the Jaguars game. I want a little I went a little often. I said for seventeen. I was a little site because I had no idea with that game. There's games have been so goofy, but I think I had the closest score out of all you yours. You're off by one on each. I want to go with. Let's go with thirty eight to twenty four. I'm going to go ahead and say this that I think the cowboys offense is just so bad. I think if you key in, key in on his Ekiel it, you just shut down that whole offense because that is not beating you. And I'm going to go ahead and say the Eagles get a score on defense. I think to get a pick six or I fun will recovery for a touchdown, and I'm going to say thirty one nothing. WHOA EAGLES? I think they shut them out. Well, I think this cowboys offense is a bad you hit matter. No, I really, I really think that this is the statement game the eagles have been wanting to make all season long, and what better way to do it then primetime, Sunday night, all black against your art rival, you know, take control this division. I think they do it tomorrow night, Dj Bon Way and brought to you by POPs. With me, I'm looking for high scooering game as well. I do like the thirty number. I see three. I Love our defense. I Hate Dallas, but I can't see a shut in the milt. I'll go move with thirty five twelve, one thousand twelve twelve, all field goals. I'll feel goal. Why not, right? I mean, I didn't even look at that. I didn't look at the line. I probably should have. I believe it's seven. Yeah, I think it's of the seven. But you know who might be able to help you with the line? I think I think we're all agreeing it's going to be the over the overnes games, probably about forty four, forty five, and think so we're all right in that range. We got to be. After seen how Dallas played. Me I could easily look it up instead of just sitting here making assumptions when, after had the Allas played this week, must be at home. I would think we're at least of a touchdown favorite. Yeah, yeah, it's got to be. It's gotta be. And Dallas is coming off a short week right monthy night game and they were with a home or away their home. They were home last week. So all right, they were. They're coming off the short week. They were Monday night and that now they're on the road. So and they're coming into the rested eagles team that hopefully they get what the rest of the season means. Starting tomorrow. Doesn't start next week, it doesn't start the week. It starts tomorrow and they need to start getting that getting it done. I think the crowds going to be routed as well. So I mean, of course, obviously it's going to be a little o'clock another seven hours of but that I think that plays a huge part in tomorrow. I think it's going to be that type of NFC championship field that we had last year against the Vikings, you know, with the season right there for us to take you know, it starts tomorrow. I think the crowds going to be a huge factor tomorrow, like it is every week. Yeah, how about the rest of the League? Now let's focus first on our division and the trash that it's in our division. So the skin is lost, I think, to offensive linemen last week. Think you I think it's up to three now. There's no three now. I think they wos an. I know they lost three during the game and to two were offensive linemen. Okay, so they're sitting at five and three at the top of the division. That's going to get turned on his head. Yes, yeah, I agree. I didn't understand how they got there to begin with. You know, they were obviously playing over their heads. We were under performing, the giants are just putrid and then the cowboys are a mediocre team at best, and I think that's how they by playing over their heads. I think that's how they surface to the top early on and they've stayed there since, but I don't think it lasts long. I think if you look at all those teams and you look at the quarterback position for each of them, MMM, giants, Eli obviously looks like he's done right. Yeah, Alex Smith has always been a numbers guy. Like, if you look at his stats at the end of the game, he's a decent scat stats. But until last year, and I don't know why, Andy, well, I know what Andy let him go, because you got Patrick Mahomes. He saw it, Ma homes, but he wasn't really a winner and he now have five hundred seasons. You might be a little over five hundred, but he's not going to do it. And then he bombed it in the playoffs. Yeah, and part of that was due to Andy Too. But and then you got rain and Dallas, who just...

...he's trash as well too. Yep, so we're sitting here with Carson. We should own this division as long as these guys stick around. So let's hope for those extensions. Think about this. We have the Super Bowl MVP ride in the bench right. Yeah, so at with with no chance of sniffing the field and nothing less, there's an injury. We didn't focus. We we focused on the tight trade, but I thought maybe fold of Mighty got moved at the trade deadline. Yeah, they're teams definitely could use them. I thought they were going to move them too, especially team like Jacksonville orers. Even know they got Jimmy g coming back next year. I thought they could have moved them. But if you were a team that thought you could have done something this year does yeah. Well, and maybe maybe that was it with the diners. They figure they're so far behind and in that West they can't catch the rams. So, yeah, why waste assets this year to bring into quarterback and the all one's kid looked okay you, although it was against Oakland. Yeah, he's another steaming pile. So if we look at our conference now, the saints knocked off those high and mighty rams, which good. They needed a little check because they're getting little fold themselves. But I think, I think we have the division. I think we can get the division. But now we have to talk about where the playoffs are going to run through and unfortunately I don't think it's going to run through Philly. I don't think it will either. I think it's going to run through New Orleans, especially after they took care of business, because now they had the tiebreaker against the rams. True, and on top of that, I think they came back, even though they they barely eked out a no, actually they lost against Tampa Bay in the first game. Even though they lost that first game in Tampa Bay, I think they came back this year with the tremendous bolder on their shoulder, not a chip. They came back would have boo because of the way their season ended last year. Through their credit to their coaches, credit to the players, credit they gathered themselves over the allseason and I think they came out on a mission and they said there's no way we can, you know, let that season end like that. Come back next year and prove everybody. Yeah, that was that was the way it should have ended. They're coming back on Adan. They understand that they need to have the playoffs run through New Orleans and I think that's there. That's their number one focus. They've got blinders on it and they're just looking at that number one seed all season long and on fortune. I think it's going to run through in New Orleans and it's going to be it's going to be interesting next week to watch that game down there. Yeah, we'll get a little taste it with the play. Yeah, it's it's it could be rough that now. That's how we'll know where we sit exactly. That's next as still litmus test next week. Yeah, they focused on their defense. Their offense is is when it is very freeze. It's just you can they're almost like the Patriots were you can plug anybody in there and he's going to make it work. But they're running backs are just scary with Camara and Ingram, and we joked about that's DAS would have that's would have helped. It would be nice, but they don't need dead, not exactly. They're not. They were looking at Brandon Marshall or heard. I think they brought in a few receivers last week, but a lot of teams do that during the week. They just bring guys in to take a looking HMM. You know, if you can get some additional depth, why not? Where do you think it's going through DJ? Yeah, I agree. I think New Orleans is a place it'll be. The NFC will run through. I I personally think the saints for the Best Team, not only in the NFC. I think the NFL. I think that offense can beat anybody in the NFL. And you know, the defense they're not so bad either. I know they played rans definitely better than they were. Like. Yeah, they played the rams last week and anybody plays the rams you're going to give up the...

...a lot of points. I don't care if you're the best team in any best defense in the NFL. Are Not that Ram's offense is really good, but I personally think that the saints can beat anybody in the NFL. So I think it'll run through the Orleans. I still think it's going through La. I just but they look at the rest of their invasion tiebreaker well, but I feel the same schedules in a couple games. Yeah, yeah, and I just I just looked at the rhyms in the West. The only competition they really have would be Seattle. I think they they play this week. Yeah, I think they play. Will see what Alla this week. Yeah, to the saints have one or two losses right now. One, just a one right the bucks and they've on the table since that first game. Atlanta seems to give them trouble, although Landa kids seem to stop anybody on the scoring side, but they still have that game and I just think it's almost a carol if you're pushing me. No. So I want to touch on Caroline. After what happened to them on Monday night. Where are they going? There there another team that you thought would be there to compete? Yeah, top of the end of seat, but they were shown to be frauds at or maybe it's just I said Monday. I'm at Thursday night. Maybe it's just Pittsburgh is that good, but normally on the road Pittsburgh isn't that good of a team. I I just think caroline is the same team every year. You know, they go, they go, you know, couple games above five hundred. They look good. Cam looks like Kim of his mvp year, and then then they hit a good team. They faced a good team and they get beat down. I mean it happened last year against us when we played them in Carolina, and now it's happening this year against Pittsburgh. I just I just think caroline is the same thing every year. They look good, they get everybody on the bandwagon. You know this could be another year for them, but then they run into a good team and you know they fold up. I think they are kind of a fraud team. The fourth quarter, actually the last eleven minutes of the game notwithstanding, they were just getting beat. They couldn't do a damn thing against us that whole game. It's us. Yeah, they couldn't do a thing against us. And the way to validate what you did in the fourth quarter is you come out and you at least compete against Pittsburgh. On Thursday night, they started out well against Pittsburgh. Yeah, yeah, and you said that game was at Carolina. Or was it that? I think the game was in Pitt and Pitts. Yeah, yeah, it wasn't Pittsburgh. You got to come out and at least compete. You you have to show what happened in that fourth quarter wasn't wasn't a fluke, because you know, you hear the interviews after the game, all we don't give up, doesn't matter to score, doesn't get matter the time, left and again, blah, blah, blah, blah, Blah Blah. Really, you came out and you got your heads handed to your Thursday night. I know you weren't playing the little sister to suppoor. You were playing the Pittsburgh steers, who are pretty damn good team. But still, if you want to validate what happened in that fourth quarter and consider yourselves a legit contender, you got to come out and at least play Pittsburgh tough for the whole game, if not win the game. And they didn't do that. So I think there are for a team. They showed themselves to be a fraud. All right, did no other teams that are towards the near the top and the other sea? The bears, the Vikings and the Falcon. So the bears and bikings are both five and three. Falcons are for and for. I'm not even thinking about the skins. We were talking about them. But none of those teams really see the bears it all the Pendzel, toucher brisky goes. Their defense is going to be good. They didn't have mack the last two games and they lost the last two games. Right the big yeah, yeah, yeah, I think they won last week. I think they might have won last week. Yeah, but couill, Kalio Mac helps them with Trie bisky's are very hot cold quarterback. One game he throws for five touchdowns, in another game he's thrown three interceptions. MMM, but they're they're still going to be battling with the packers and the Vikings. Do you guys see the packers doing...

...anything this year? It's not looking like not with that defense not looking like it. That they don't stop anybody know. You know. I mean they every time ourager steps on the field there's a chance they're going to score a touchdown, but every time their defense steps on the field there thinks the Chit's the other clubs on the score right. So yeah, I don't see green baby being anything significant, making any kind of noise. You know, if they may not even make the playoffs, because I'm thinking Minnesota's going to win that division and and they might get a wild card out at a division because I think at least one wild cars coming out at the south. Yeah, because, yeah, I don't seuth. Yeah, because of back, if not both wild cars. Yeah, I don't think the packers record it's going to be able to get them a wild card. Now, I don't think so either. I think out of those three teams you mentioned, I think Minnesota's they're going to win the division and they may they may be able to win a game in the in the playoffs, depending on where they shake out. As far as a seed is concerned, they'll get the home game with the Division Win, but after that depends on where they have to go or, you know, if they get to stay home. It could be interesting, though, because let's say, you know, the bears do win that division somehow, then the Vikings get the wild card. We win the division, wouldn't we then host the Vikings and that wild card round, if you're assuming that we're. Yes, it depends on what seed you all. That's true. That's true. Yeah, and but I was just saying I could be fun. That could be interesting. You're making some there that we went our division, so we're top. And Yeah, we're not. We're not one or two. Minnesota would be five or six. Yeah, because they're a wild card and and we would be because you, or for you figure sceints rams are one and two run and then probably I'll sort of viosly like and I'll see NFC north, which would be I think could be the bears, and then Vikings and and with the seating it doesn't really matter. Are But remembered if likings to hold head the head. I just I just thought it'd be fun and interesting to have Minnesota have to come back here again in the playoffs and sure they would think it's fun. Yeah, yeah, what he did win here the regular season, but they did win, right, thirty eight two seven, right. Yeah, it's all I gotta said. I know, I hear you that the AFC it's enough. They seem to score. It will over there too, with their top teams and chiefs, Patriots, steelers. steelers looked really impressive still was with the point where they brought in their their backups and they were still boring on the panthers. So I don't think we have to worry about that yet. But there's teams over there that I think we're talking about frauds. If you're looking at their playoffs right now, the titans might be the eight. See Getting in there at Ford for that wow. If they make the playoffs, and I mean it loose often, it would look good, though, on us. I mean I never ported that out. If the team to beats us, if they were to championship, I feel better about it. I never bought it. The Ned thinking, hmm, after you get by to the Patriots, the chiefs, the steelers, I guess you got to look at the chargers next. And our conference HMM. They're quietly, they're going about their business and they the job done. Six and two. Six, and think they don't have two losses. Yeah, and they're only two losses of the chiefs and the ramps. Yeah, I don't I don't know. Well, the stadium the play in is not even considered a home game for that yeah, that's a joke. So if they have to go on a road anywhere, I don't know, especially if they have to go to the wingle in Ar Kansas City when it's cold, I don't know if they're going to be able to do anything. Like need to have a defense that could slow the chiefs down a bit. Yeah, yeah, you never know. You know, they they're dark horse to win whatever. Yeah, and somehow I picked them as the Super Bowl Rep from the AFC. Before the season started against the Eagles,...

...was tossing Philip rivers a bone for his years of service. I guess. Maybe did we bring a bottle of that? Anyway, but first week too. I've been influenced. Yeah, but I think once you get passed the Patriots, steelers and chiefs and you know the rest of the conferences, and just to throw two chargers in there, the rest of the conference, I think, is a bunch of mediocre to show the above average teams. And when you when you really really get down to it, I know my Auntie Andy Reid bias is coming into play here. But you know, when it gets down to push, comes to shelve and he's got a manage a clock and manage a time out, he hasn't done so well. I'm bet against them. Yeah, I'm betting against them. You know I he's got a tremendous offense there, those guys, that three out there is just and play, and then you throw in Travis Kelce to that offense out there is just phenomenal. And you know, it's scary sometimes a watch them. It's fun to watch them when you're not playing them, but if you got to play them, it could be scary. Have they had to play from behind? You have this season? That's a good question. The page ways, it would be my only guess. And they all yeah, but they came back together, was it? They lost by high right, all ahead? Yeah, it was either to tie or go ahead down and then the winglings. Yeah, they win. Brady had the game winning drive. Yeah, I'm just trying to think because I remember, if you see some of the clips from the ore super bowl, belochi saying to dug Peterson, I looked all I looked, trying to find the game of you guys are behind it. See how you how you played, and it's hard to find it. Yeah, so, and he's, you know, Andy, he's Scriptures First fifteen to twenty plays and still just they're just, they're hitting, they're hitting. So he doesn't have to worry about refocusing his game. Yeah, game planning, but I'd like to see how they play when they're down a little bit. Yeah, interesting. Yeah, well, they did, like we just said, they did come back against the Patriots on the road. So all right, there, capable. We got about a minute left. Awards for the bird so far, a little bit past the half season. But who's your team MVP right now? I would have to go carson, Carson. NOPE, yeah, I agree. I mean Carson's been playing out of his mind. I'm going to go fletcher. See, yeah, step, if you seeplit it between offense defense. Yeah, you gotta go Fletcher on Defense. Most improved player. HMM, that's tough. Yeah, Jane Len Mills, just coming off the super bowl to it's not corey clement either. Wendell smallwood? Yeah, yeah, that's a going well. Yeah, he's had some big moments here's tough, toughest one, probably come back player, because I think there's two to automatically come to mind. Not Aguilar, that was last year for Aguilar. Car Center Hicks. Yeah, I was just going to say it's got to be carson because it ain't Hicks. Yeah, yeah, playing. All right, he's playing. Yes, it's like he's available. Yeah, that's that's a quick question. I brought up to him last night. Let's say Kendricks doesn't face this jail time charge and all that, you bring them back for a small price. Yeah, he knows the system. Yeah, right, I mean it's not gonna hurt. I would because he could help. Yeah, he's in. He's a serviceable body. Yeah, that you need out there and you know, yeah, he didn't pan out to what we thought he was going to be, but he had moments to where he had a decent year last yeah, I would bring the thought about it, especially with a struggling, you know, lining back and core so far this year. All right, boas well. More plug before we get out of here. Last year, anybody WHO's fans of the podcast knows, Deacon I did a benefit for the army navy game up at Parkwood and northeast Philly. They're doing it again this year. It's going to be...

Saturday December eight. It's at Parkwood. We'll have more details as it gets closer, but it's a great fundraiser army navy game. The guys bring in that's from one of the local homes up in the Northeast Watch the game, food drinks. I think they raised over six grand for the last year, but just wanted to put a plug out there for it. I'll put something for our social media to if anybody's in an interested and getting tickets, and you'll hear more details it gets a little closer, but wanted to for that plug out there for that beef and beer for the army navian supporting our veterans. It's great thing. It was a fun time. Last year's all right. We didn't get as much hate out in the end, but that's fine. We got we got a got out of the beginning, though, so we're going to cry. Alas, sucks, alice sucks. Here we go. We haven't thrown that out there yet great and that you know that's perfect. Just end on that. Dallas sucks. Go Birds, we'll see you next week. We gives me a little more go.
