Ay, Philly fans, do you remember when we threw snowballs at Santa Claus? Or maybe you don't remember it like you were there, or maybe we're a little young, but the national media certainly won't let us freak and forget it. It's an easy shot to take. It a starving fan base will guess what the hungry dogs finally got a Blait to eat. This podcast is here to fight against the cartoon character of the rude, ignorant Philly Fan. This is a passionate fan base with knowledge to make your head spin, and this podcast is going to bring you the perspective of different generations of Eagle season ticket holders and fans when it comes to the Eagles, football, Philly sports and whatever else is on our minds. Remember, there's always two sides to every story. Did people ever stop and think maybe, just maybe, Santa Booed first? Thanks for listening in, and don't forget, no one likes this, we don't care. Yeah, Good Morning Sports fans who are listening to another episode of the say to boot first podcast brought to you for wildfire radio. Were lovely wildfire radio studios in the room with me here. I have, as always, my cohost beat one. Good Morning. I got that sold just for you, Dick. Thanks what bombs over bank. We'll be all kid. I know your big out guts, big outcast fan. And behind the glass we got tk, who I'm sure is a big outcast fabody was about to steak about his favorite outcast album. How about their their first one? What would it be? Now, did you tell tell her why you're why you played that for me? I know what. I don't even thinking that it that it happens to be good. Well, when you said Bob over Bombay, that's exactly what I thought. I we're driving over here today and we're at a light and I just hear smack and I looking. A bird bombed his windshield. Good. Oh, and it was right where the windshield, and I mean the the wiper and between the wiper in the bottom of the windshield is right there, and I'm like, Oh my God, Dude, you couldn't do it on the roof or I wouldn't see that. It's the hell boy to started day. Yeah, it was, and I didn't want to wipe it because then it'll get all smeared. Yeah, for their years breakfast. That's a wonderful you reready? Yes, yes, but I actually text the tell her before that. So that was just it was premonition on. Yes, she did. That's right. Yeah, that wasn't a good start to the day, but we're here now and we're powered by POPs as well. Yea, our coffee maybe has a little extra kick to it this yes, it's always little tasty. With that POPs we might need as it's going to be a session where maybe we can get through that whole body. We might need that whole bomb, because I feel like it's going to be a laugh and to the season. Yep, I'm right there with you. Dude. That saints game felt like it was years ago. It does. It's done. Still hardly ask myself way. What was their last game? Oh yeah, they got smoked. Can you, I ask both of you, can you find anything in that game that was good? Anything? No, want one play to play, to score, to touchdown on Josh, Josh Adam, twenty six, twenty seven yard touching. That was about it. Whatever it was some somebody's Oh robin, there he said at seventeen. Nothing. He said, come on, boys, we need a quick turnaround ors this. This game's over. And I facebooked them back. I said, dude, this game was over at ten nothing. You know, you got to be kidding me. Game was over twelve minutes and when the eagles had the possession for like thirty seconds and the saints add a for the rest of those twelve minutes. The saints are just rolling right now, MMM, and we and the eagles are are far from it. It was. You saw Carson getting frustrated again and dug me the comment weeks...

...ago that the pressures off. No pressure. These guys all look like they're playing really light. Mom's like a lot of pressure to me. Yes, they can't get anything. I feel like I'm saying the same thing every week because it is the same thing every week. Yeah, can't get anything going. They can't rushing. Had when do you have a hundred and fifty six yards? Three interceptions. The turnovers from Carson are killing us. Yep, and the lack of turnovers on the defense are killing us. We're not getting any short fields, no easy possessions, nothing. And the my I've I've been saying this for I don't know how long. It drives me insane the way the defense just cannot get off the field and then we go at three and out. Three and out, train out. You know, you there is that is allowed by our defense to go three and out. You don't have to give up all the yards in between the s and then shut them down. You can shut them down on the first, second and third down and make them punt. You know, it just drives me insane that that these teams go up and down, whether they score or not. They're gaining yards and their time of possession and they're wearing you down, which comes in the plane the second half, and our offense can't seem to do the same to their defense. It's just Myke it makes you climb the walls to wigh his defense is playing and they shut down notes. MMM, reached a road or it's just nope, that's all we need to do. We know that's cos the guy there shut him down and that's it. Game over bright, which it seems like right. Kate Tate had a few more plays. Mike grows set up. It's difficult trying to figure out how to get Kate Bullshit into the game. Bullshit the Mon did you trade for me? Exactly? What did you trade from Jason Garrets not having trouble fitting in a Monty Cooper? No, though, his big touchdown on Thanksgiving Day it was a defenders l yes, yes, yes, yeah, I realized that. But he's still he's still producing, he's still he's scoring touchdowns. That's what three or four now he scored and three weeks or whatever it is is Dj and I had an interesting conversation before the game. Was it before the game, I forget, before the saints game in and a few of us were talking on Thanksgiving. Mike grow was the offensive coordinator for the Rams Jared cobs rookie year and he looked like a bust his rookie year. With Jeff Fisher and Mike Grow, they finished I think they finished thirty two in the League and offense that year or, you know, somewhere pretty close. ABOTTOM and with with Frank Reich and Doug Peterson and John D Philippo Carson Wentz and even nick fouls looked really, really good. You know, last year Nick Carson Wentz did something every week to make you say wow. It's kind of reversed itself this year. He's making you say something wow every week, but not for something good. And since Mike grow has taken over the reins for offense. You know he hasn't looked Carson wentz is not looked the same. I know part of it is because of the injury. You know, maybe he's not. I don't think he's a hundred percent back from that injury. He's maybe five ninety percent back from the injury, but I think part of it is more mental where he's afraid to run. You know, I like keep seeing spots in a game where I know the last year of the year before he would have taken off, but this year he's a little hesitant. Eddie, he's looking to get rid of a ball, but then again he's holding on to the ball too long and that's contributing to the sacks I got. I think physically he's he's ninety five for better. I think he's back. I think he's right there. I think so. Yeah, you see each trying to make the pleas. Yeah, that he used to put heat does look just apprehensive running and there's not as many plays where he can get out of the...

...defenders clutches and like you think in a Washington play from late season where, yes, act he's going to an also that spins out of the pile and write throws that touchdown. Aggiler right, he hasn't been able to make those plays, but I don't think it's because of any physical limitations. I just think he's to go back to what I said a minute get. I think the pressures there. These guys can tell us all they wanted to pressures. Oh Yeah, I'll tell you when the pressure will be off. If they lose this week. M Yeah, then the pastures off. The pressure is off, because then you're playing out the string. You're dead right, NOP, you're applying for a draft pick next year and I hate to see that, but it's just reality. Right, giants stink. HMM, but name just run off to in a row. Well, what? And what was my retort to your giant stink comment on the way over? We just may yet we will sell. Yeah, yeah, we might stick a little worse. Yeah, and he's been more injuries, more injuries coming out of that saying it's game and that's not all them in. No, I mean it's just as bad as it was last year. It might be worse this year. Maybe not as big a names, you know, like Jason Peters, Jordan xt that sort of thing, but the number of injuries and how far down the depth the roster that you're having to go to bring in starters. I'm are playing guys that just shouldn't be playing flat out, and we weren't in this position last year. So the cut him a little slack. That has something to do with it also, but you know, if you're if you're next man up last year, you got to be next man up this year too. So you know, I'll give them some slack, but not too much. Yeah, the problem is the expended up this year is right and that just a gut him out from that. was on the trees right exactly, and they seems like they rushed in. He Jones back last because he was in for a couple series, I think, and he was gone. Kelsey looks like he could have come back in the game. I don't know if that would have helped much. Yeah, I don't know. A game all around. It's the worst. He wasn't he wasn't going to be a what was the difference? Forty one points. Yeah, he's not good. He wasn't going to make up forty one points. It was the worst loss by rating super bowl champions. Yep, Yep. The following season, Yep, yeah, and that's not a claim the fame that you're looking to grab onto. Yeah, they I'm I'm right at the point. I'm standing right there where I'm about to say, you know what, let's just move on from the season already. I'll say for you. Okay, thanks. I'm not quite there because I as much as I hate to say, yeah, at the vision is still up for the taking. It looks like the cowboys are coming on strong, and I hate to say that if but it looks like they're really starting to make some hey, they're incorporating cooper into their offense, they're using them well, they're making plays with them. Like you said, golden tape. You know what? What? Why can't you incorporate a guy into your offense? Why can't you ask him what do you like to do? What are your strengths? And you got the you got eight years of film on the Guy. You're looking at this guy, you targeted this guy for a reason, right to look at him and said right, he could do something. Yes, I don't think Hallie as much as it seems like said sometimes how he likes to play fantasy football. I give them the benefit of the depth that he talks to the coaches and coach you said, yeah, that's a guy that we can plug at. You rather to go and hey, no taint available, you want to go get them and then we'll see what we can do. Right. You hope that they actually looked at the table like you said, and so yeah, we got it, will put him in right here and at another weapon for Carson. Yeah, just keep going. And I they haven't been able to do it. And you know you're giving up a third round draft pick, which is a pretty solid draft pick that you look at at this now, and I saw something this week that he's looking to possibly sign with US long term. Great.

Are you going to be able to work into the offense by the time he signs that contract? And your three years in with them and you're going to finally work on into the offense that you know? And they they had to buy week to scheme things up for this guy. You know, you had the extra week. I get that he has to understand how you run routes and you know, the way dog was talking, I think dog was just laying it on a little thick, you know, trying to cover himself and might grow. He's you know, does it fully understand our our our what was the war? Forget with the word he said, but the our philosophy of how we run routes, for lack of a better term. And it's like, come on, man, running a post route is running a post rat. Running a down and out is running it down and out. You know, it's it. There's no there's no extra dressing here. That's it. That's what you got to do. Don't let the language is different. Some language carries from team to team, but it's not like this guy's in a second year now. He's not a rookie. Exactly. Pick that up. Yeah, and he's a smart guy. went to Notre Dame so fat. He should be able to get out there to feel like he said, I slaves to sleep. Yeah, a player of his skill, it should make it different. I give him a week to get acclimated to the team and have things run, learn to police put. It's going on week three now. Yes, US. Yes. Should we expect him to be a bigger factor tomorrow? Yeah, yeah, he has to be. NEEDS TO BE. has to because if the giants watch the last two weeks, they're going to say double up hurts HMM, and the giant secondary isn't there? Good, but double up hurts and let's try to make the run the ball. Yeah, yes, and you know it's been doing to us. If you're golden tate, what are you thinking? What do you think is his thoughts are at? You're probably thinking, well, I'm not with Detroit. least have not detruit. Yeah, yeah, at least you're not in Detroit. But you know, I was coming here to all the WHO plot, you know, going to make a difference, feel good about the trade. Yada, Yada, Yada. And after two weeks, you know, what do we got? He doesn't seem look a David Wide Receiver. Now he's not happy. He think he came in here now and he went to note the dame. They don't go for that sort of all right enough there. Which aquim black leaker? I don't know. Where's your too six shirt at? Yeah, we'll get into that. Yeah, he you figure he would come here? No, and he's not gonna be number one, and he probably was a guy that here. Should have been no pressure for right and he probably still doesn't feel at this point, because they're not. They're not putting in place for me. No, talked about his package for him MMM, what's what the pack? He's on the fielders. You know he's not. You don't need special plays for this now. He's not a Percy Harvard type player where he probably do certain things. He can do everything out there. Get them on the field, get the battle and he's got to start being on the field for a lot more plays. I think it was eighteen plays the first game. I don't I didn't hear a play count for this past game. But he's got to be out there for the Majar. I'm not saying every play, but he's got to be out there for the majority of plays. I think this pace game he had like eight targets. When you get caught five or six of them, okay, that's not too bad. Now I would like it to be in double digits, but especially against the seats. GET WED right. Yeah, yeah, you just throwing the ball against them. Yeah, and it was. It was just bad, bad. I want to forget about it. MMM. Hopefully the POPs will help erase that. Nott Maory, I remember the first, the first, our first possession, when the eagles are huddling up in Jason Kelsey was standing there clapping like come on, boys, we can do this, let's go. And then they went three and out. was like, man, it's going to be one of those nights. You know, Jason, you can do whatever you want to do, but it's just not going to happen. Sorry. And then you look at the Monday night game. Nah, and one of the opponents we still have to face this scene. That game...

...was just ridiculous. That's the good stuffy points a boast that no defense played whatsoever. Now, okay, say that because they were all ye heard over that the ramp scored seventeen points off at time and say that. Yeah, but that was just insane. It was like it was like mad and football. It was like a Rena for a rein, back and forth, back and forth. Yep, and that don't Mahomes is. We haven't done kick of the hill in a while, but I think mahomes probably still up there and less we want to maybe throw drew brees up there. Is battled him for kidding the hold. Those two guys seem to just own the NFL right now. And shom Ting chilling beady. Yeah, yeah, they date. That was fun to watch. I'm at Defense Guy. You know, I like defense. I like a nice solid game. You know, I don't think a baseball score now, three, two, not like that, for but I don't mind offense, especially when it's, you know, when they're making plays that are just like wow, you know, these are a piece of really good plays and you know, you see a decent play drawn up, the perfect play for the perfect spot, you know, that type of thing. I enjoy watching that, you know I do, and I don't mind scoring, but I'm at defense first kind of guy. But that Game Monthy night, that game was fun to watch and unfortunately I zunked out at forty thirty and and that was that was in the fourth quarter. That was like two or three minutes into the fourth quarter. And when I got up the next day and I heard the score fifty four, I'm like what man, they did all that with like ten twelve minutes left. Series really, three, please, three plays in the score? Is They what it was? It was just and it it looked like the rams were finally getting a hold it a game at forty thirty with, you know, only about twelve or thirteen minutes left. I thought, okay, the rams got this and you know, I'll wake up tomorrow and don't have a you know not maybe not a comfortable win, but they don't have a solid win. And then I heard the scores. Like Cole Man, tyree kill gets behind the defender. He's gone, gone, and that's the problem, the often problem for the competitors, of the problem for the chiefs. Obviously he's yeah, yeah, I think. I still don't know, though, if you look at those two teams of Thanksgiving was talking no buddy and he he said that's a super bowl matchup. I don't know about that. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know about the Patriots will have something to say about that. You know who I think is gonna have something to say about this year? The stealers. Oh yeah, I keep forgetting about the steal stealers. I don't know, man, they just seem that they seem to be well rounded. HMM, no, you you don't. I if I had to hop on somebody might hop on the chargers. I feel like they always said that they had a bad loss last week. Well, now I'll all those much faith in them as I do this steelers. Although Taylor, I did pick them to go to the Super Bowl this year. So, against card words, I might be over for to and then on the NFCA side, and the Rams did look good. HMM, the scenes can get their defense going. Yeah, I think that'll be they don't play each other in regular season, do they? WHO The saints in the ranks of Saints in the ramps? Yeah, they're already did. That's right. That's right. I gave him their first loss a right. Yeah, so little revenge factor and definitely meet in the playoffs. But I think that game is going to come down to where it's played. If it's played in the Morelans, it's in New Orleans. If it's out in la the Ram's got a shot, but I don't think the saints are out. If it's out in La. Rams played Detroit and Chicago away and then Jesus Eagles play them at home and then they play at the cardinals and then home against the niners. They Walk to the playoff. They like yeah, beside. I mean Chicago should be a really good game, but I'm that it Chicago. All right. Yeah, so that's that'll be a challenge for them. But well, Trie Biscay bet be...

...back by and I just found out Thursday that he was hurt. Chase Daniel had no faith change he look good. He look good now. He did look good. You looked right, I granted, yes, it was against Detroit, but he looks good, as told me and you. How could? How could druerees get hurt and then their quarterback? They're bringing a short yeah, right, wait for New Orleans. Yeah, yeah, drews, drews barely six foot. Yeah, it's you know, it's gotten the NFL's to the point where it's just a matter of scoring points. It doesn't matter if you can't play defense anymore. It's how many points can you score? You know against certain teams that you're going to have to score thirty plus to win. If we would have eat moored twenty eight points in I think three of the Games we lost, it would we would want. We averaged close to twenty eight point last year, right, if we were just putting up those numbers, yes, we would not be where we are right. Yeah, Hey, yeah, we we would be comfortably in first place in the division and not worrying about it and probably not looking at a one or two, but at least a solid three, you know, three seed. And Yeah, it's just it's falling apart up the speaking about scoring points during that Monday night game with the saints, my Buddy Pusch, he works. He works at a casino and he was putting up lines when the game was in put in in. I was going while what was going on. I don't think of a more fitting name of than butch. He he threw up a something on facebook. You say you, he said in play right now, and the score was like thirty five seven or for whatever. He said, in play right now you can get the eagles plus twenty seven and a half. And I was like Damn. I'm like, well, you have to lay on that to make me out. Yeah, it was somewhere around a hundred, more or less. It might have been a little less than a hundred. And then, like five minutes later, when a score was forty, I guess it was forty one, he says right now you can get the eagles plus thirty, and I was like Damn, and and and I even at twenty seven and a half, I commented. And you would still lose. And little did I know, you you could get thirty and still lose. That's yeah, that's how bad it was Monday night. Yeah, it was ugly. Yeah, should we move past it? We done so you did allude to a couple times already offense, offense not scoring. MMM, Mike Grow, are we ready to say turn, a lot of this is because Frank Lake's not here? Oh, I've I've been saying after about a month now, as Petersonn't been kind of exposed, that maybe lays years much. As he said. He's the offensive play caller and and it didn't look like he took a lot of input, like on the sidelines. Yeah, season, but you don't know what's paying settled ahead with me. Yeah, you don't know what to being installed. Maybe having a lot more in installing the game playing and then Peter Layers sis right. It looks like it doesn't trust anybody out there, like it's all these well, I don't have flame them for that either. I wouldn't trust a lot of Coss out there right now. It's just all these lame safe place and let's three get the opposite of what they did last yes, like take a chance. Yep, Yep. No, I agree a hundred percent with that. I exposed. I don't know, I'm not willing to go that far yet. We just know that's not him. That's the thing. Yeah, but we definitely miss those two guys, no doubt. We especially look at what Indianapolis is doing right, and that's when Andrew Luck was I don't I don't want to say his career was done, but set up, it was stagnated. It at that. At best it was stagnated, and he's just he's blown up again. You know, he's back to the Andrew Luck from the first three years in the league. I have them on one of my fantasy teams and I forget who my backup is on that team, but I've been playing him because...

...he's been getting the points. It might beat the Shawn Watts and I think I play them over. I forget which one, but yeah, I'm like, wow, you know this guy's and I took them to be the backup. I didn't take them to be the starter. And when I had it, you know, eventually I think I just said, you know what I want to I'm going to start them because he's at point like he did. Yeah, yeah, and then the guy that, whoever, I drafted as the starter, went on by and I just left Andrew Look in. I didn't even think twice about it. And Yeah, I mean, and you got a credit, Frank Reich, for for doing that and I don't watch any I won't won't even say much. I don't watch any colts football. But from what I'm hearing from different guys, to play calls that Frank Reich is coming up with are just really, really good plays that he's cun't that he's designing him and using out there. They did a philly special. It was at lea speaker before today. They had a Philly spect yeah, wow, I love called it, I think. Yeah, because he dove and people like this guy's got a bad shoulder. He's diving into the ends of for puts down. Yeah, yeah, so I mean it clearly Frank Reich was a bigger part of the offense last year than what we then, what we thought he was. Yeah, out I thought it was great having two quarterbacks on the coaching staff for Carson. What's to get him started in the right direction for his career? And you know, I really was comfortable with that. I thought it was a great too great hires to start him off in the right direction as a quarterback. And he was going in those right directions. He was doing everything that you could ask for him or of them. And but now this year he's played well. I won't. I won't say he's playing badly. He's played well, but he he's not making those plays every week that make you say wow. And then he just absolutely stunk. Like I said, took guy ORC. I said he looks like he played at Division One, double a. You know, a guy worked. The next day I said he looked like a quarterback that played him won double Eylt for his college career. He was back to MVP form until the last and I don't know, and I don't have a reason for it's I don't know what happened. Yeah, yeah, hopefully some home cooking this weekend. HMM, will help against a bad team. MMM, they are. They're coming in this weekend the giants again. They're coming off to two wins Yelcos and now they're saying that, you know, we're going to run the table, we're going to make the play elps. I don't see that happening for the giants. No, but it's they're not going to give me. It's not going to be give me the way this team's playing. Yeah, they might move past Washington, but they're not. I don't think they're going to move passed out. So I see dalls when in the division now and are they're looking strong. They're looking real strong. Like to say that, Oh God, it's I got to wash my mouth out, would bleach or something after I said at but Ah, it's disgusting to say that, but that's the reality. The reality is Dallas looks like they're looks like they're going to take the division. So then focus on what we need to do. It all comes down on the right over here. So it don't it all comes downder this week. Yeah, it's so. It's tomorrow. Maybe, mathematically, if we look at the numbers, they still have a chance because they still have to play the skins. They stuff to play that. That, boys, that will mean nothing. Yeah, they lose to the giants. That's just it's crushing. Yet injuries to deal with still. MMM, maddox is out, mills is out, Jones is out, Hicks is out. Now I saw wow, Russell Douglas is questionable. So that secondary you're going...

...to see the Sullivan brothers and HMM, and pick up anybody else? Does a balls be back? Who's going to be playing in that secondary? Never who knows? Eli Eli, please half as well as he can. Yeah, receivers could just pick US apart. Oh yeah, yeah, any any professional quarterback, if you give them time, they will pick you apart. And that's you know, maybe not the third string quarterback, but any certainly any starter, even one in Eli's position who's late s clearly he's on the down side of his career. The prime is behind them. Even at a quarterback like that, because of his experience and his veteran status, he's going to be able to pick you apart if you give them time or if receivers and and that's the other thing that kills me, especially at the sitting at the game, you see you see their receivers. You don't necessarily necessarily see it on TV, but you can see it on when you're down at the game. You see the receivers get open. You know it's not helping that our players are ten, fifteen yards old. Shit is yeah, for were and what they're going to be time right when they're up on the receiver or not doing the bump and run. So that doesn't help. But then when our receivers go out there covered like a wet blanket, you know it's it's so frustrating to watch that. So they have the receivers that can get open. You know, they don't need a whole lot of time to get open. You Know Odell and was his name? Shepherd, they're they're there guys that can get open, and you know that's going to end up opening things up for for Berkeley. and Berkeley had a field data first time against this he did. Yeah, and that's that's a scary watch. Yeah, and you you see with Zeke did to us a couple weeks ago. Hmm, I mean you look at what the Saint said to us. Both of the running backs almost at a hundred yards and megrim went over and Camara was close to a Bi Camara had a bunch of catches to yeah, anything coming out of the backfield. Yeah, we just haven't been able to deal with well, I think the Eagles win tomorrow, but I'm I'm not overly confident and I wouldn't be surprised that they lost. But I do thought I'm better in five thousand and fifty nine. I'm better to thousand and fifty we win. I'm I'm okay say if you one hundred and forty nine, you don't know. Maybe you don't say. Maybe betive fifty well, how do you feel bad it? I mean, I don't feel confident at all. Now. I can't see them losing, but I wouldn't be surprised if we walk out of there with their heads down. Yeah, yeah, they need to stop with the slow starts. The one thing that could help them is coming out score, just like the first game we were again, whether it's I prefer to touchdowns, but if it's a touchdown, field gold, just coming out, eat some time up. HMM, score, get out of that first quarter with the lead, right. Yeah, yeah, and what was the one and only blowout game that we've had this year? was against the giants. And what happened early or we got the turnover. Score a touchdown early, for it was at the giants first or second possession. We got the turnover and we scored off it and we took off from there. That, you know, that was the format, the formula that we followed let all last year. Stay aggressive. Yeah, yes, yes, and it just hasn't hasn't happened this year. So that's what we need to do. You know, what's the weather looking like? We know Elisa on it, like Sonny and mid S, Eli doesn't like playing here, not don't like playing here. It's cold. No, I don't have that. GILLY's. He's UP IN NORTH JERSEY. He's got a play up there. Cold Too. With tailed here. It's usually a slightly bit warmer down here than it is up there. We were across the equator there. It's right dividing lady.

Now, okay, I can airs with this. What's that? I said? You're picking airs with he did. He doesn't play well here. So we need to get to him. We need that Defense Atlas page do something. They need constant pressure, Schwartz, he's gotta Hmm, get his head out of his ass and start doing some blitzing, right, and and depend on his guys, trust his guys to get there because, yeah, the secondary's couldn't need all the help they can get. Yeah, right, they can't come. They don't cover well anyway and they can't cover for extended period of time. They just can't. Most defensive backs don't do well when they got to cover more than three seconds. So you know, how can you expect a guy, it was like you said back in groceries last week, to do that? Yeah, they have to get after them and they I want to see the defenders up on the line, plane, bump and run. I'm tired of this business being ten, twelve yards off the ball. Give them the cushion, you know, playing fifteen yards back when it's when it's third and twelve, you know, just run the sticks and turn. I just they've they got to be more aggressive, like Taylor said. They have to be. Are you bringing Malcolm Up to playoff? WILL BE J are you hoping that he he's going to get he doesn't have to speat his him, obviously, but I think Malcolm's the kind of guy to keep get on Beckham and frustrate movie. He's got to be aggressive on him, on them. Yes, it's got to be aggressive a little bit. He can't. You know, he's got to have contact on them. I'm not going to say throughout the rap because you don't want to get called for the penalty. Yeah, but but you got it. Can Hear you? Gotta? Yes, you got to have a little contact on them just to make them uncomfortable. Let them know you're there and you're going to get hit if you catch the ball. You know, we've seen how many times players, defensive backs, whoever, get on their Odell's skin and he just completely loses it. You take them off the game, animate objects, hugging fins and taking thats. If you take them out of his out of his game, make them uncomfortable, then you know you can handle him. You know. Otherwise, when he gets in that zone, boy forget it. But if you can keep him uncomfortable and get on their skin, it's very easy to get him. Get him out of his game, off as off a stride to then the other weapon his Sek one bottling up. See Q one is going to be another channel. Yes, what do we have? A uns out of the ball that we can even compete with that? You know, we don't have a running game. Now, right now, now, I think are a receiving corps. No, I don't even know if I'm ready to say that now. I was going to say are receiving Corp as a whole. As a whole, I take it over the giants, but they haven't been using tape the way I think they could be. Right there. I think Kate is definitely better than shepherd, and you take that plus out shun, maybe those guys together are make up for Beckham as a whole. Hurch in there. Yeah, you, when you throw earths into the mix and Jordan Matthews has been having a solid season. He's I think he's given us exactly what we wanted from him. He's the he's the the same possession receiver he's always been. Never really scored a whole lot of touchdowns, doesn't get a lot of yards, but he gets a lot of catches. You know, he always got a lot of catches and he's that possession receiver on third down that you can go to to get you at first down. So He's given us pretty much what we expected from him. But I think as a whole I would take our receiving corps over to giants. The only one that stands out for them is is Odell Beckham, but we, you know, we have out Sean Jeffrey, we have we have Golden Tate, we have Zach Ertz. You know, I'll take Zach Ertz over there tight end. Yeah, because he drops a lot of passes and I think our yeah,...

I definitely take our receiving corps as a whole. But the problem is Carson has zoned in on top and he's not spring the ball around. You know, when he's been successful, lots of players have caught lots of passes, but he's owing in on just two guys this year and I think that's been a detriment. And like you said, that they've shut down Zach Ertz the last couple games. Yeah, yeah, so Jeffrey seems to have caught a little bit of what Nelson has. MMM, the stick not the sticky Lebe hands, and can't hold on the ball. He can't help Carson get have some tough spots. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's you know, you go back to the old adage. If you want, if you want to be effective against a certain player on offense, keep him off the field. You know, maintain possession of a ball, keep them off the field. You don't have to worry about it. So they know and we do have we is it our time at possession, like in the top ten this year? Is it? I think it is. That's right. Yeah, that seems like yeah, because the lay there defense is on the front. I know, I know, I know, but we do occasionally get those long drives. I don't though, maybe I'm miss speaking here, but if we can keep if we can keep them, those guys off the field, then we don't have to worry about how we going to defend against, say, Quanbar? How we going to defend against Oh, don't you know? We don't have to worry about no, dedeck's right. We're second, real second, wow, arlier. That high. Yeah, New Orleans at first with the thirty thirty and we're second with third one thirty three, wow. DETROIT, three thousand one hundred and twenty two, Seattle, three thousand one hundred and fourteen rams thirty one and seven seconds. Can you back up to that part where you say yeah, Deeck is right. I don't hear that very well. Edit that out. Make sure we get that out before we put push. I mean if you look at the two teams that follow the Eagles, Detroit and Seattle, I mean they're not. I mean Seattle's are getting there, but still they're not the shine of the NFL. Yeah, it's never odd statistic to the lie on. I guess this year at least, would have no running game. and Seattle Right. Seattle's committed to the run again this season, so that makes sense to me. DETROIT, I have him watched enough the de treats right teams to to know. I they have a decent running speaking of the tree in there running game. Did you see? You had two touchdowns. The guy that we could use this year. We got our blunt me. He's not he's still doing his ten carries for twelve yards, but those twelve yards are fact who in there. Yeah, he had that one run that he had that one run on Thursday. I was just like, man, that looks that would look so go to midnight green instead of at goofy blue. That they were the one plus we have coming back on a defensive side of the ball, it's timmy journeyin. Yes, hopefully it's a Plos fully now it I haven't looked into it more, but apparently the injury now what you hear it was. He had back surgery growing, I thought they were saying, in the summer with some type of abdominal thing that, MMM, I don't recall. Was Out for that. But he had back surgery. He's not an offensive linement, so he doesn't have all the force coming on him, but he's in a serial defensive line. Yes, there's a lot of strainage, stress word on the back. Yeah, but he's a younger guy. He's the guy that hopefully he comes in here and he's hungry and he him and Fletcher Together, I thought we're good. Yeah, so hopefully that helps gives this defense a little bit of a boost. You don't have to see as much as not a maybe you can move better to the outside a little bit more to make up for Burnett being mountain. If nothing else, hopefully it does help with the rotation. Just don't know what to expect, to think from the back from now Sardo now and you know, what kind of shape is he in? You know, there's in shape and then there's football shape, and football shape isn't...

...entirely different from being in shape, because there's, you know, like us. Yeah, I mean, yeah, we're in shape. I'm in maddened shape. I can sit down even that I might not be because I can't figure out this. Damn you, those are so really good. Madden. All right, yeah, I still a top team. Yeah, I crushed my friend. They played as the Saints Actually, and I'm not the best man in player ever, but yeah, the hated to yeah, yeah, nice, that's that's that got to be going off of last year. It was there. It's this year's HMM. It is pretty interestingly say, update the rosters and there's there's a guy, there's five like Madden rating guys that go to every game that they can. Really Yeah, it's that's amazing. Not technicobowl anymore depots. It's they've they hack. No, how about electric football? When I go down to through, that was the that was the prettiestory cage. Yeah, pretty cool. Rock runs the rock turny little football shape piece of cotton underneath the arming and make sure everybody's lined up and we all we all good, and then flip the switch. And did you watch them all bounce around? There's dust and cobwebs emitting from your mouth, please, matching. I think like that. Have you ever even seen an electric tit? Know what it what looks like? Yeah, okay. Did you ever play electric football? No, I know. I had a supernintendo in my name. Was Born so many at many an hour was passed away getting two plays off these as a single digit and preteen child in southwest Philly, here playing electric football with my boys on the street and whatnot. You guys don't know what you Miss Yeah, we missed. Not Getting frustrated because you can only get three plays. I did. He's not running the right way there. And Con I had it, and the best was when you're when you're you put the guy in a bad the of course there's no passing, so everybody's running the ball and you put you, you put the runner it behind everybody, trying to get the maximum amount of blocking. So it was did your scheme plays? They did. You, we're gonna go. We're going to overload the right side. Sometimes you would check, sweeten. Yeah, yeah, you would point a guy on a certain direction, trying to get them to go that way. But more times than not, when that would happen, the guy would end up either spinning around on a dime, right every rotating on a dime, or they would start running backwards towards your own owns. And at that point you're screaming at the top of your lungs now, now, no, turn around on the other way, go the other and your mom's like shot, what's going on at shut up already. What are you doing? It is just a game. No, you don't under stay, mom. Is Not just a game. I'm playing someone, so I got to beat them. Yes, see, all that fun. It's not as much fun as just spike it a paddle and you get pissed off because you're losing. Are you giving a paddle? Yeah, yeah, so the line is five and a half. We're giving right, giving five for giving. Okay, let's clarify. I saw this morning. Yeah, give him five and a half. Ready to make your prediction? Yeah, yeah, I'll go. I'll go birds two hundred and seventeen to cover. How you like them apples? I've been so all over with my predictions this year because I just cannot get a feel for this team. I want them to come out and just blow them away, and I don't think it's like lightness spirits around here at a bit. WE'RE gonna get back to twenty eight. Who Back to that twenty eight mark? Okay, and when we give it up, I'M gonna go. No, you got seventeen. There's gonna go two thousand and seventeen. Good, I'M gonna go two thousand and seventeen.

Okay, let go twenty. Cover, and so I'm covering. Yeah, you cover and teak over. The over under is forty seven. No, that's that's that's an on slam. That under. Yeah, that's an UNTER. And then what was the spread again? Five a half. That's too much. That's too much. Yeah, wow, that's that's a stay away. He's got the birds winning by four two thousand seven and twenty three. Yeah, for sounds about right to me. That's a stayaway line, though. What's your prediction? I think it's gonna suck. It's not going to be a good game. That's all I can think of. I'll really have a score of mine, but it's just not going to be a pretty game at all. So we're not getting the DUB. Is that what you're saying? No, I think the eagles can win. It's just the actual game. It's just gonna be like, yeah, I wish we were the right exactly. Yeah, all right. Well, if you're not giving a score, I don't really have one in mind. I just NEX sat except that they won't cover. I would, if I had to put money on it, I would go take the points with the Jobson. Yeah, okay, but I don't like that line at all. Regardless. I wouldn't you know, you know who maybe tell her needs to talk to then, if you doesn't trust that line, that'd be that John Price Guy, a Guy John Price. Okay, did you know it out? Now, I know we're more of a football focus podcast, HMM, but there's a couple other teams in this city, one team in particular that I know you gentlemen are bigger fans than I and I'm just scratching my head. I need some guidance. I need some soul, the soul. Yes, yeah, now I'm thinking about the move Lacrosse team, the wings. Okay, see, he'son tickets. Are Coming back. Yeah, wait, what's the wings are coming back? Yeah, are they really? Yeah, they moved to what was it? Upstate New York or something like hope they're bringing that team down to just expanding. Okay, yeah, yeah, now we were a powerhouse back in the day and I lost. I enjoyed my Lacrosse game. They won back in the day. They won like several championships. They did. Yeah, they did back in the S YEP it. That that was that was what we had to hang our hat on. That was they were the only champion, because they were the only championship team. Bring back the championship ways. Yep It. So, folks, what the folks is going on? What's going on with this kid? He's he's a mess. It's weird. I was all for he's weird and the situation is weird. It is. He's a young guy. Let him learn. Don't be too hard on them. But now it's just like what,...

...what is going on? Well, as is right, it's your head, it's my shoulder, it's my wrist, it's my head, it's his head. Even more, Cooper's making fun of him. He's like that's foul. and He, I mean, he liked it. He retweeted him. It was what what does cooper care about somebody on the sixers? He's a D bag. Why that? He's doing that because it's funny. I know it's funny, but so wow. So what's going on? I tell her you're more of a hoops said I that me. I know, I deek. mean. If there was some history to back this up, I would use it, but this is so unpresidented. I don't know what the Sayre exactly right. Yeah, and is his lawyer tells not his doctors, his lawyers tell him to stay away from the team. Yep, don't practice. But there he is on the back the area is on the bench. I should have set him next to Kendall. Last night. Oh please do something. You know, may Mary and goes. Last night she says, who's this girl to keep showing USAID? I don't know who she is. You know, Kendall. Now, come on, dee, and I just figured it was because she was good luck the right. I don't follow the Kardashians or two jenners. Are Any of them? And I figured it was because she was Google and not in. Not Ten seconds after she asked who, why did he keep going back to this girl, they said it was tender of Jennery, you know. Oh, she's seas enjoying, been gone to the basket or something. Whatever they said. I'm like, there you go, there's your answer, but they were done. I thought it was just so. That's thought. I don't know. Okay, and she carries them that they lose the undefeated at home. MMM, they lose it to her freaking calves, who walked in with two wins, yeah, and walk out with three. Seriously, I mean there's, you know the saying in sports, when you'll let bad teams hang around, bad things happen, and that's People's exhibit a of when you let bad teams hang around, bad things happen was last night sixers game. That was dreadful. It was pathetic that the team who is not lost at home now, granted, they are eking out wins these days, but they're close again on the road. Know they cannot, they cannot hold the lead, they cannot close a game out, be it on the road or at home. They're eking wins out and they come in last night and I think they really took the cats lightly and they in corporate didn't even play. I don't think no, I don't think. Yeah, he didn't. He didn't play. Yeah, and they can't. They can't. They should have won that game by twenty five if you are serious in your consideration of yourselves as a top five seed in the east or, you know, should be top three seed in the east. I've been saying until you beat Toronto or Boston, I'm not sold on this team. While that just you know, when they picked up Jimmy Butler. I was like, okay, you know, I'm willing to give them the benefit of at that. Maybe they will. Then they throw that crap game out there last night it called. Well's Farco Center. There's in the band Jenner. Not sure anymore. You think her friends distracted. He's running off the court. Let's seem like everybody else. Look at me hand it right. It seems like everybody else was distracted. Every five minutes you see our face on the TV. Maybe that was the problem. Right. Think she's there. Yeah, right. What happened with Butler? I haven't checked this morning. I know he he was off the court early going back to the locker room. At the end of the game. I haven't seen nothing. He fell at won't point and it looked like he would have banged up his elbow. He kept getting plays elbows in at the end of the day. He played the end. Yeah, it was like under a minute to go, when the game was pretty much over. They showed him. He was walking back to the locker room and they were still playing. Oh yeah, I was that. I thought he was. I thought he was there the entire time. I missed that. Ryan Anderson on here saying it. Butler sprained his ankle. Yeah, that's a kid I coach, Steve and I coach back in the day. I thought it would have been his elbow, but so is is false. One of the biggest busts ever. When you talk about your...

...ass number one pick, I mean it's up. Throw some names out there. Greg Oden, I mean couple of years ago, speaking of Cleveland. That it. So we're yeah, so we're going and bea his three, not six or some going any sport. The number one overall pick. Oh, any spanny spot you got. It was the too. It's taken before Jordan, Samson, Sam Sam Bowie Abouti? Yeah, I was thinking. I think Sam Bowie was taken before him. Well, there you go. He Sam Bowie had a bit of a career, didn't he did? He played for a few years. I mean it everybody else, and that's raft is all the fake. Well, yeah, trow what about Todd Moreno, Bitch, oh, no, word. Or Tony? I think he was a number one more. Tony Man's rich Darko. Not Not to not to aid you, but my would my mind went back lake, maybe back to the early night. Just see you're like somethink like Ja Marcus Russell. Who? Tony Man? I know who Tony is, I know, but todd what they were? Both that. Now manders was a packer, aagory rand, which was a raider. Ye, jamarcus Russell, raiders. He was a number one. Yeah, Tim Catch, yeah, he was a number one pick. Yeah, Ryan Leaf was here. was He at one or two? WHO's first? Timmer? Peyton, I think I'll petement one payment on, all right, and then you get your don't thinking I'm mixing them up with Elin and the rivers. HMM, while neither one of them were boss. So No. And there's guys that were picked number one that weren't great, but they at least stayed around the stuff and in the league. Yeah, sure, but I'm saying guys that just totally fell off. Yeah, and as shamed the beat tea and number one. Who Too? Who did you just say? Exactly? The Guy From Ukon? Yeah, the Bi Memphis, MEMPHIS, okay, yeah, yeah, I yes, I mean there's plenty of number two. Is You want to throw out Shawn Bradley? He was a number shoot, big Hyley. Yeah, it was at least rotated, but but yeah, he, he, had. I won't say he was productive. Yeah, I ate that with he had height, but he was okay. He played. What you get ten years out of him? Okay. Well, I'm saying so guys that they may not be mvps, HMM, but they stayed around. They stuck around the league. It what versus you other guys. Quammy Brown, yeah, high school, or her number one pit wommy prown, wow, Anthony Bett it. We mentioned Michel Allo Condy, but he's still in the league right. I Love Candy. I haven't seen him. I thought he was still playing. I don't know, but just with all the hype that folks had yes, and and on top of you trade from three to one when you probably man no, it made second dandy. All made sense. You looked like it could play like it's Oh, I get that, but would he have been there at three? It doesn't matter where, it doesn't matter doing this. It made sense. This was a guy that was going to be locked in, ready to go. Fits what we needed. It all made sense. I'M NOT gonna talk bad about that trade. That all made sense at the time, but refresh my memory. Was He you coming out number one? Oh, I got that. I got that. But was he viewed as the point or a shooting guard? Coming out? He was just going to be catch and shoot and then make, be able to make plays by his own because a playmaker, right, bread and nointed Simmons to the Point Guard. Even even back then. He you know, he was going to be the point guard there. What they weren't going to move them? Yeah, off of that, off of the ball. Yeah, but, folks, is also false. Had to be picked as the shooting guard. Yeah, and he was a play he's a playmaker, to which they really needed. Yeah, but we haven't seen neither nor out of him. No, will we...

...see anymore either? Or will we see any more of him? Is he done with us? Will be more comfortable elsewhere? He is what his camp is putting out. Yeah, my buddy Jimmy O'Rourke, he says let him go, and I think they just might. I think they just might. What do you get for him at this point? You're not going to you're to get not even going to get a bag of balls for him, but you're just going to have to eat the contract and let him going and make a roster spot and pick somebody up, because I I don't see them. If you're if you're a gem in the league, would you trade anything for him? Think of it that way. If you could put yourself in the other guy's shoes, would you trade any thing for him? If I'M CLEVELAND, I Trade J R Smith for it. Of It. Bring J already. Luck with that. He wants out. Yeah, right, Abbo. Yeah, I agree. I don't know what, folks is value. He still has to have some value. He's not completely useless. But you need to figure out what's wrong with the shoulder. Is it the wrist? He's a project that we don't have a time to develop the projects it is. Yeah, he's as he's seen. Or No, that's Monday. He's going to seat a shoulder guy right in New York. The shoulder of the wrist. Not Thought it was. I thought the lawyer said he was going to see the shoulder guy. Mother Helly or lawyers say a lot of things. Yeah, I took out of both sides. Yep, most of it not true. Sorry, Pooch covering ner NCES, but Um, yeah, I believe he's supposed to go see somebody. I don't know. Wait, wait to see what this guy says, see what his diagnosis is. See if they have anything going on with the wrist. I'm convinced it's all on his head. I am too. That's why I think that's what I think it is. You know, he was nineteen when he came out. You throw all this money, all this pressure, all these expectations at a nineteen year old kid. You know, it's I'm willing to give him some, you know, degree of sympathy because of that, but at some point you got to step up and be professional about it and start performing and, you know, living up to what. I'm not saying you have to live up and be, you know, the next Jordan or the next whoever, but you've got to start performing. You've got to, you know, give a little payback for what the team invested in you, and I think the way this team is built, he was good with this team. But the kid when he came back to season and played, every shot he made, the whole stadium stood up and cheer. Yeah, he does. It need to be if he's got joe well and been there being able to take, take or deflect anything they need way from him. Just play, play your game and you know, we'll handle all the media bullshit and we'll run our twitter account and have people focus it on Jojo and when I say and that's fine, I think that's the perfect situation for folks. But he's not. He kick it out of his own head. Right. The whole thing's exactly right. That's what makes me think it's mental. Fell Shot. Mean, why, why are you doing it if you're your shoulder hurts, your wrist hurts. That's not helping right. That's a mental thing to me and I yeah, I don't know either. It's fixed. I've seen fifth graders take better foul shots than he does these days. It's it's brutal watching him take a foul shot and then even from the field. He's a little awkward taking a shot from the field. It's you know, it's not what you expect of a number one pick. What it what about their inability to close out games? We got start looking at Brett. We just did that. They just did what? Yeah, did why? CHARLOTTE? Okay, one, but how come we couldn't do it against Cleveland, though, because it wasn't close, and I come from they couldn't do it against in the world get away.

I'll give you the SHORTLOTTE game. Yeah, what's the game. Want, the over was Jimmy Butler. That was the over. Dat, right. Yes, and weren't they winning big at one point? Thorn at game, it was going back and forth. Was it a back and forth game? Yeah, BUT SHORT WE'RE CHARLOTTE. Their third the bottom. there. Are They in the playoff on? I mean, I know it's early. Boughtyba Walker's kind of MVP conversation. Now, okay, win. It's kind of crazy. All right, so are they? Are they top eight seed? It could be a playoff team. Yeah, okay, but so they have one guy. We have a MVP player, caliber player also. So if they have one and we have one and we also have been Simmons and Jimmy Butler, we should be we should be beating them in regulation comfortably in its seven game series of six ors. Easily win. Yes, okay, so this is the one game that they lost in the seven game sers that had to go to overtime. Yeah, okay, because Kevin one for sixty, because kibble went off. Oh, Teddy Reli. Yeah, wow, yeah, I totally missed that game. I didn't even know they were playing. But the right still has to figure out rotations. Yes, yeah, yeah, has to figure out rotations. Yes, I'm glad to see TJ's going to be on the floor a lot more now, are you? Yeah, yeah, I like the way he plays. He brings an energy, he's spark I don't know. He's not a starter, don't get me wrong, he's not as he's a spots starter for injury or you know, something like that. But I think coming off the bench, I think, you know, he he brings an energy, he brings a different dimension, he brings a hustle, he brings basketball IQ. You know, he makes the right play more times than not, although all the white guy basketball terms. Yes, yeah, I had a bad over nice it. He looks like he should be played at Alife, I said more times than not. You got me on one guy. Yeah, but yeah, I just I like any, any hits that he hits that elbow shot or that that short jump shot in the lane. You know he can hit that shot, which is more than than been or marcus is willing to do, you know, and not willing to shoot the ball. He's at least willing to shoot the ball and he will shoot it from the three or, you know, just inside the three. And you know he I've seen him finish. He can finish on the layup, you know. He he, he has a tendency sometimes to go in there and and try and get that lay up or he'll dish it out somewhere. So, yeah, he brings a foot frink up. Yes, yeah, he he brings a different element to the game that I don't think you get from from mark or most of the other guards on the team. So I'm glad he's getting on the floor more. But yes, he's not at he's not start material. He's not thirty minute game material either. All right, coming to the end of the show, I left just enough time for a really important topic, filmmakers. Michaelson beat Tiger Woods. Oh daddy either. You guys care? I don't know. I don't care. I was got glued. Yeah, every shot. Yeah, they didn't play great, but it was very you could tell. You Really Watch it. Yeah, you can. Did you pay it forwards and paper to view for it? Well, bleacher report, no, bleacher report actually had it for free. Of like after the first nine I think. pissed. Yeah, right, yeah, yeah, no interest. You could tell that like the nine million dollars on the line was like in their head because they were missing these layup butts. It's crazy. Well, what with two guys that make as much money as they do? What do they care about? Nine million dollars a lot of money still, but just because you have a lot money doesn't mean you value you. But that's like ninety bucks to any of us. So don't say that. Sure it is. When you're when you're net...

...worth is hundreds of millions of dollars, you wouldn't know. You're right, I wouldn't and I never will. It would take me like eight lifetimes to find out that kind of money. I still think. I still think nine million dollars is still a lot. It's not like they were like born into like being the most rich people bell ever. Like you have to learn how much the value of a dollars. Yeah, absolutely, I agree a hundred percent with you. And there's some ego there too. So yes, it's a hell. Yeah, it's dragging right, yeah, it did. You know what? That's probably what it is is the Braggen rights more than anything that post. That's a lot of money. It is a lot of money, but tiger is going to give it to the X to go get a new house or something, so it's money to get right out the door. He probably doesn't. I don't need to make more money because then she takes it. You know, I didn't even know this thing was happening until they played that thing, that quote from Tiger that said it's his name, couch. Oh my God, what, What's? What's first name? I'm trying to think of it. I know he's a junior. It begins when an e L. I thought you were asking. I thought you know, I wouldn't hang Roy Elroy. No, I want to hear the philly accent of the animal. That what's is named after tiger. What throw with the Hell's wrong? AIGGER? What's tiger? How do you say it? Tiger, Mr South Jersey, tiger, tiger, tiger. It sounds like a southern draw more than whatever it's at southwest coming out. Yeah, but when when tiger, his quote, came over to radio, they played it on the on the radio and I was like, what are they talking about? Yeah, Tiger's been in his head for for e a. He said that. I've been in I've been in fills head for twenty years. And the host, whoever the host was asking any of that, it got to laugh out of it and chuckled in this and that, and that was the end of end of that. And I'm like, what are they talking about? These guys are playing against each other. Why? Why are they know? Why are they going head toohead against each other? And then they said, you know, they were talking about money and whatnot, and I was like this is kind of stupid. I mean, they're both past their prime. Who Cares? It's golf to so who can? Yeah, and it's golf. Well, what I need a good nap on a Saturday afternoon. I'll throw. I think we did. That's to Beay. Before. Yeah, we did. Golf was not a support.
