Good morning everyone. How we doing? Eagles Nation and Nice Little Christmas music? Good job, Taylor. We got a little line up change today, folks. Jimmy Marcus is unable to be an attendance, along with Dj not here father mark not here, so we're bare bones in it down here with the skeleton crew. They're helping set out. Yeah, yeah, they're helping saying it out. Jimmy does kind of have an elfbeard going. Yes, he does. That works out pretty well. and not being tall, real tall, and stature. You know, the whole thing is working. Wow, we could stick of it at green suit and he'd fit right into sand's workshop. Buh, all this one. He's not studio man. Yeah, well, Hey, I'm not telling statue either. So it's the Christmas season. Yes, yeah, you know, we spread this Christmas cheer and Bard break a little stones. That's all right, coming from the Wildfire Studios and beautiful downtown wedst effort. We got Taylor behind the glass. How we do producer others to the stars. I'm sorry, Taylor, what are you drinking back there, by the way? The Ice Coffee? Oh, it's a nice clock. Okay, I thought he had like a soda in there. He's got a plastic container and I'm sure what was actually my protein will treaker. Yeah, I don't know. The little rum and coke in there, what not yet talk. Talk to me in about an eight hours probably he'll be there. Nice, you go. We got the other guy, the other voice you here, is known as Avalon. Brinie's got avalon in his name, but he's got rocks borrow in his roots, probably gonnery. There you go. What's up, brother man. How we doing? It's good. I kind of feel guilty. Everybody's gone. I feel like I've chased everybody off and make it appearance two weeks in her own we lose to stop. I'm going to be Solo next week. Stop, and I'm your cohost, Dick Martin. I don't think I mentioned my name yet. Don't ever apologize. There, Brian, you're always welcome here. there. You got either to call in right in a peer whatever, right in the champagne next door. Yes, we will get that sponsorship sooner or later. Speaking of that, did you notice that the RV's missing from the front parking lot? Yeah, I have no idea whose it is. HMM, interesting what they wants to do a little time. I got a big Christmas president. Hey, Yoh, nice, I like that. Maybe we'll see it in the parking lot tomorrow at the like. Maybe it's Chris, maybe it's a Chris Christie's house. I could see him have an air, little little stop in here's hoping not. We've seen enough pictures of on the beach. I don't want to picture of that. Yeah, yeah, Right, Oh my God, did you just latest one with him on the shelf over to or in the man all over the fireplace? No, Elfina shellf my God, he said it was or that was great. What a mess. YEA is. Yep. Yeah, all right, enough, politics. Wasn't politics. That's just poking it. Yeah, I know, we don't know's it's just as Dallas Fan. Yeah, yeah, thats all right. I got you there like that. Yes, yes, we should get him in studios. No, now he might fall out at a chair like he did at wipay. It's true, although there was a rumor he was going to take over for Francesse up in New York, or I heard that. We were talking that in there. Princess that came back and then hold the money. Will happened? Yeah, I he was gone for like three months or so. Gone for three months. Yeah, hired a whole new crew in and then they had a bump them all out. I mean it's kind of wild. That's an unfair seat to take over to. Yes, it is. You. You don't want to be the guy that follows the guy. Right, true, right, it's tough. It's like the girlfriend that falls the girlfriend. It's hard, hard to have follow those steps. Like I married the girlfriend that married. No, I'm just kidding, I'm just honey. I hope you're not listening. It's for entertainment. Yeah, for entertainment purposes own. But yes, yeah, yes, and I'm more making fun of myself than anybody else. Yeah, I forgot to mention we are powered by POPs McCain's Whiskey, as always, good stuff. I'll...

...take a little shot of POPs. There you go. We have a little taste for you. Jason Fogg, will have a little taste, but it's pretty smooth. MMM, yes, it is all right. So let's get to let's get to some football. Let's get into it. Yeah, let's get into some football. A most unexpected victory, except for the guy sitting across the table from me. Nobody saw this common. I mean when you're a thirteen plus. I was at thirteen, at thirteen and a half point under dog thirteen. That came out of the blue. That was a tremendous think it's underdog of the leak also, there you go. Yeah, like it. I meant to investigate and I never did this week. What was the largest spread that the eagles won against in the history of their franchise? And I never did that and I thought of it earlier in the week. I never got around to it. Life gets in the way and I forgot all about it. And here I am sitting here in front of a microphone and it pops into my head again. I mean their course, their teen's got to be up there. It's got to be there. Rarely go over to touchdown, especially with the backup quarterback plane. Yeah, you know. I mean he's not your typical backup quarterback. There aren't many backup quarterbacks that have the super bowl MVP trophy sitting in their self. But you know that that's that was a tremendous win. I certainly did not say it. I'm score was thirty eight fourteen, I believe. MMM, yours, Brian, was a thirty. Thirty one would have victory. All kind of was nicker at you. It was yeah, did we were wrong there? How much pops you had on the way in, Yastingus versions at me the whole time. Yeah, but hey, I couldn't be more grateful. I even picked against them all my pool, because when money is involved, you got to go to your head, not your heart. Yep, and I was more than happy to take that loss in my pool, my weekly pull work, of course. Yeah, yeah, I mean, we listen anybody. I kind of follow the rule of I don't bet it. I don't bet the teams that I follow. So I don't Bet Penn state and I don't bet the Eagle, rule of thumb. But sure, yeah, I felt confident going into last week and I don't want to say I'm kind of some kind of you know, not treflamis over here. Yeah, some kind of savant. Were unpredicting things, but a lot of the things we talked about, Nick Fall Les Getting into that Comfort Zone, it happened. You know, this team rallied around him, which you know, this time of year, maybe that was the spark they need, the kick in the ass they needed to gay Allen. I mean it was pretty amazing to see. Real Quick, Dick, I have the answer for you. Okay, take a guess which year you think it is, though. And also, the Rams Lion last week was the second biggest line against the eagles in franchise history. Yes, wow, I'm going to say one thousand nineteen and fifty. To come on, I want to say they were doing it. Then I'm gonna say it's read error, like early read error. No, no, okay, one thousand nine hundred and eighty five against the redskins. Really? Oh Yeah, fourteen point five, wow, that last. That was that on the road? Also, doesn't say right here, because I think that up from that was a randall game. who was at the day that he signed his contract? That's not randal. One thousand nine hundred and eighty five. Sure that would be his rookie year, but I don't think he would have been playing just then. That was when jolt they were ushering jaws out. I don't think Randall. That's probably still jaws point. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's all right. That's a redskin team coming off a super bowl. Yeah, okay, okay, yeah, that makes sense. Wow, because of the eighty five. That wasn't even buddy yet. That was not will mary and Campbell. Did he yeah, he did last a couple seasons sittany, he did, because Fred, somebody rather, took over for the last game. It when for meal. Yep, quit, and then they did Campbell for a few and then, yeah, okay, all right, Jimmy Markus is trying to say that he knew it all along. I left at that. Of course he did. He' selps to sitting in front of a computer instead of sitting here trying to talk right. Makes it a lot easier. And what did they call him? The Keyboard Warrior. You Go, but you are really confident in, I mean you really really were confident in your call, and we all did snicker at you. Yes, and I mean I did. I just didn't see this win and it. I mean we just proved it with the it's the second all time greatest that line against and it's and on the road with a backup quarterback. I mean throw all those things into the mix. You got injury after injury. They're dropping players like flies. YEP, LA's coming off a bad game. To get against the Chicago bears in Chicago, they need to keep pace with New Orleans saints, hoping it's, you know, snag that number one seed. They got revenge, Yep, you know, you know, revenge. Revenge should have been enough of a motivation for them to come out firing on all...

...cylinders. Where did this wind come from? I mean, what happened that they were able to and at one point they were on the verge of a blowout. Yep, they were. If folds doesn't throw the pick on the two yard line and we score that touchdown, it's thirty. I haven't thirteen. Yes, was that in the fourth court? I think that was in the fourth quarter, right, yeah, that wasn't only in the fourth quarter. Yeah, yes, we're on the verge of a blowout. Erect. That one play kind of almost turned the the entire Gamer. Right, did for a bit, but I mean he was able to hold on. But I mean, where did this game come from? What happened? Well, you know what happened. Doug started using his brain again, Doug started using his weapons again, and that RPO offense. You look at it. Look at it, look what they did. They spread the ball around. It wasn't Zach Ertz old day. I mean arts has been outstanding this year, but the earth show is effectively canceled. When, when? Whence went right? Because it's gotten to a point of the other players complaining. I mean you had outshan Jeffrey. I think he had a eight catches. You got eight, more than he usually gets, more than he usually catch. You had golden tate involved, you had small wood with multiple touches, you had atoms with multiple toushing, you brought sprowles into the game. I mean you really started using your weapons again and I think that was really the key. I agree. I think that was the key. Also, getting the ball in different people's hands, into your playmaker's hands. They have a load of playmakers on this team. Yeah, up and down the line, at all the skill possession positions, they have playmakers. Yep, and yes, I agree with you a hundred percent. They got the ball and they spread it around. They had a couple nice drives to are able to keep the defense off the field, which means you're keeping that high potent offense off the field from the rains. Yep and and at some point during a game the announcers made it a point to take note of the blocking of Dallas got her and what a difference he was making, especially down the goal line, opening up different holes for the running backs to get through and score. And if he bring if he's bringing that element to his game. You know, Zach Ertz never did that. He he never you know, he, he and he had wanted a best blocking tight ends as a mentor and Brent Selik. I don't know if that's a skill that you can pick up as a pro. I don't know, but you would think you would want to be more than a oneedom known as a more than one dimensional type of tight end skill player. It's great, don't get me wrong. It's great that he can get down field and make catches. You know he's excellent at that. There's no doubt about it. He's wanted the best in the game at doing that, but it's nice to be able to pick up that block once in a while too, and it looks like God it is going to be. He's going to have that combination skill set where he's able to block, get guys open in the backfield and also get down field of make catches. I mean at that touchdown against the cowboys was a tremendous catch and run. He did it over the middle and traffic. He got blasted a couple times and he was and they bound. They literally bounced off of him and he ran into the end zone and he got caught down at the the goal line, but he was still able to get in. I don't know if Zach Ertz is able to make that catch after the run. You don't see him making that break from contact and we you know, we've spoken about it numerous times on the show. Yack hurts right, Ye, act, yeah, urts yard pretender. Yes, and the lacking there up and what you bring up a good point with Goddard, the blocking. He's kind of got the whole package. She's got the size. Yep, you know, maybe he is a big boy. Yeah, I think he's. He's bigger nice. He's like he's got drawn Caski. Yeah, he's got fifteen, twenty pounds on arts and they get solid. Six six HUND's a big man and you wonder. You know, I kind of questioned the pick after a super bowl. You know, did you really need to replenish? You know you're missing Selik, but at this point, sell, it could have been replaced with a another tight end off the free agent list, but it looks like you got some guy that's going to maybe replace hurts. I mean it's some point you're going to have to pay Carson Wentz if he stays, which we won't get into that, but maybe we will. But at some point you're going to pay hurts and you wonder are you going to spend big bucks on a guy like urt's when you have somebody like God ard sitting there? And you saw, you know, Jimmy Graham eventually became dispensable. You know, if you're not multidimensional as a player, and you mentioned the blocking aspect, who knows? Yeah, but he looks good. I mean it's been a solid pick and I'm glad to see him stepping up at this point. Yeah, Jimmy Graham, I think what led to him getting released by the saints was his injury. He injury started piling up for him and that's what I think contributed to him being like go by the saints. He was in consistent for so long. A yeah, yeah, yeah, he was. He was a he was a big play guy. He you know, they traded him the Seattle right, so that what it was. It Rad Rady to seem in Seattle. But them, yeah, he's kind of bounced around, but he was the...

...same thing. Not really much of a blocking type, right, but a weapon. Oh yeah, yeah, it's now point hurt's arts finally has started to put together whole seasons where, you know, the first what? For five years of his career he was, you know, I don't want to say non existent, but you know, where is this guy? Kind of player? He also had the court first eight seasons. You heard, eight games. Yeah, you also the quarterback shuffle going on. Yeah, yes, which which makes it difficult, which makes it difficult. But now you know, Carson being his that being his security blanket almost to a ridiculous level. I don't know that. I love that. So maybe a shot of folds in there makes him kind of have to step up his game. But Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a good way of looking at it. That's at an angle. I hadn't throw it off. That's that's a good point. I like that. So you know, arts has been become more consistent where he's there from wire to wire, first game to the sixteen game, and and he was, you know, there through the playoffs. So it's he's finally gotten to the point where he's a more consistent throughout the season type of players. No longer had half a season player. And and what's seen is seven, eight season. There is six year. I six here. Okay, so he's not he's not on the down that he's in the prime of his career, st on the print. Yeah, he's not on the downside yet. I'm not ready to get rid of them. You know, they're actually I actually heard some talk in the radio this week about because of the way that has got our plays in the combination skill set that he brings is is Earth's going to become dispense dispendable, and I think I like keeping on two players that are that are give you more options, you know, the more options that the defensive coordinator has to worry about it. Yep, why not? You know, you get rid of Earth's and then you're down to one solid tight end. You keep hurts your you got to, you know, very shade ends. Well, like I said earlier, I think at some point you might have to make a decision where he's going to want top dollars, but for them you're yes, you roll with both. Sure, you do with New England, did with, you know, with the murderer, and when run them, there's no sure. Hopefully we don't have any things like that. No, I don't see that happening here. You never know. Now, I yeah, I agree. We played out as long as it can, as long as it last, as long as they're both productive. Why not? And and I think another key to that win last week was to play at defense. The defense really got after that front for I think was their best game. UNMUST see, Michael Bennett had a month sturve. He's been, he's been so to watch. I would say Michael Bennett probably deserved a pro bowl nomination, if not an alternate route. Yeah, right, I mean he's played a hell of it. Yeah, and it's been quiet, you know, people haven't taken notice, but he's had a really good season. HMM. Yes, yes, and and thinks people still look at the record and see him not. Yeah, like contributing to that. But now I'm with you on that. Now, yeah, he, you're right, tailor, they look at the record, but it hasn't been because of his play. His play is Oh, yeah, I'm saying it's an unfair thing. Absolutely, absolutely, and he's been a bright spot on a, I would say, an under poort performing offense or defensive lung. You know, Helodi, not a, finally showed up last week. He knocked down a pass. Chris long has been in and out this year and obviously journakin being down. It's been. It's been a rough year for that line. Yes, strength. I mean last year they won the game in the trenches. Mean they run so many games in the trenches offensive the defensive line. They haven't being able to exert their will like that this year. And Fletcher had a big game and you know, Tok curly had had a decent gaming. Didn't have anything that really I don't know. I didn't catch the early part of a game. I had a basketball game, so I wasn't able to catch the early part of a game. You don't have a DVR. Did Now? If I do, I don't know how to work it. Didn't program your your didn't program your VCR, did you now? I did not. You have to have a DV are built in, unless I had it. If I had a DVARD, but one, but I don't know how to work it so that I could set it up and record some. Have your son help you out there. Okay, that's true. You've got these kids in the house. Yeah, do these things? Yeah, from where I recall later in the game, he didn't do a whole lot. I mean he didn't have those big, big plays that that really hurt you. Yep, well, you look, you look in the fourth quarter. I mean he didn't get out of bounds with eleven. So I mean I right, a mad right makes, aside from his interception, probably the play of the game. Yep, keeping you in bound and all that's a Te's a big mistake on girl. He's all girl, he's part yeah, Jared Goff, he did not. He did not have a good game. He had pressure on them all game longing. That was the difference. Yeah, yeah, he did not have a good games. He's been vp for that team pretty much all season and...

...then, I mean he's we was a shell of himself and then obviously had the knee injury now and much spot for the cardinals game. So MMM, yeah, and we know what. They forced him out of the pocket. They did let him get comfortable. Yeah, right, and I mean they pressed up as much as they could, you know, on woods, and they just really minimize their weapons, which I think, again all things that were necessary to happen. I mean, I think the corner of Vante Maddox had a great yeah, he really did. It's really stepped up and he's I mean, I don't know he I think, what do you come out of college as a corner or safety? I forget kind of an tween and there was a tween move into a safety. Yes, because he's played different positions during the course of the season and he's been able to produce and contribute it both. Yeah, you know, he's been a solid player and I don't follow a college football whole lot, but I don't remember his name being talked about. So you know, he's he's been a nice surprise. Where was he drafted? Was He traded the fifth of like the mid mid round sition? Yeah, and if you remember our season pre you, I actually pointed out him being a highlight. Did you? I did. Wow, we need to go back and play some of that. Wow, now I play. Maybe you are so fun. Maybe I am only remember one that you hit. That's exactly right. That's exactly right. That is a good forget about all the bad things. Yeah, just remember the good things. They all the ones that felt in the crap that air ball and get out. That's good. Yeah, that's yeah. So He's been a nice, nice addition to the team and at a position that we needed help in because guys have been going down. You know, we lost three of our staters, so anybody can step up and contribute. It has been a big help and he certainly considered for that. He has. And if you look at who they've lost, I mean, you know, even Sidney Jones has been a disappointment and he was supposed to be the value at this year right, like you know, he sat out. They put them on the shelf last year. Maybe unfair hype, maybe on a fair hiking. Yeah, unfair hype, and they talked about maybe he should be he should have been a first round pick. The Eagles got lucky. You know how smart is Howe and the guys. But you know, I don't want to give up on him and he's in a second year. He's been injured, but it's just unfair expectations for somebody that's been so on and off the field. That, YEP, yeah, I don't think it can really hold into those standards. Yeah, it's tough to hold anybody to standards. And when he can't stand on the stay on the field, yeah, which is the most important part. Exactly. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, it's it has been tough for him staying on on the field. He did come in with a lot of hype, part of it and then that the whole. Yeah, we got a steal in the second round. We got first round value in the second round, all that business. You got to stay on the field now, and you know, injuries aren't old and and nothing. There's never an injury. It's the fault of the player. But as you go through the injury and you start to heal, you know when you can get when can you get back on the field. And you know, you hear athletes talk all the time there's a difference between being injured and being hurt. So sometimes you know, is the player hurt or is he really injured? Well, you know it. Yeah, and I start to quite we talked about it last week, just kind of the issues with the training staff. I mean how many acls and how many, I mean this this team has gone through. It's almost remarkable. You wonder what's going on there. And then the Wentz back injury. Not to bring that in or Belabor the point, but you know they see a lot of guys going down, much more so than any other team. Yes, it's surprising. Yeah, I think the only team it's been hit as bad as it. I mean if you look what's happened to Washington, I mean they've been devastated by injuries to yeah, they have. I was chuckling while you were talking it what Jimmy put down. He said I'm a little disappointed a beating come in with the ski mask. The fourth and John Guys did that this week. I did. Did they really had and I think NBC sports one of the other people. Yeah, somebody else ran with it. Put on social media. Pretty Wild. Yeah, they only had am up for about five minutes of the segment. It's kind of good. Try to a microphone for an hour with one of those things. Yeah, that would be a little we are in Campden county to I mean we don't want, you know, people coming in looking for us. You can you imagine if the vet was still around the seven hundred levels showing up with ski masks? I wouldn't show up to that. came. No, I mean, listen, I think it's cool. It's the their way of bonding to get sure. Yeah, sure, have a little humor with it. I know ye people were getting upset with it. I think it's pretty awesome. Yeah, yeah, it's their way of pulling together as a team. It's the underdog mask. If they went out and stole a game, They're going to steal the same yes, yeah, and I've been saying, I've been saying for a long time now. They when when things started turning, you know, in a downward spiral show to speak. I started to say because I wasn't sure if we were going to win the Houston game, when early on the season, when the season started. Lately I've been saying we need to steal that game, and you know, we went out and stole the La game. Yep. We need to cap lives on that...

...momentum that we come back with and you know, the crowd has to get behind them give them a lot of support, especially early on. You know the name might be a little tired because they had to go at the Dallas come home, go back out that La on short motus. Yep. So it's going to be you know, they they're going to need that boost from from the fans down there tomorrow, especially early on. The carry on through that early part of a game. We need to get that early jump and I'm still saying we need to steal the game, but this is definitely a game I think we can win. So let's transition into tomorrow. How do we see? They Houston's got a couple big question marks. They do injuries. I mean Lamar Miller's the biggest one. Well, aunt deandre, Dean's going to play. I mean he's yeah, he's just firsially listening his questions playing. He's playing. I mean Deandre, deandre is going to play. Lamar Miller is a game time decision and he's been hobbled all week. I think o'mbrian was on with south pal talking about that, and it really is a true game time decision and they don't have much as far as backup running backs. I mean I've had Alfred Blue and my fantasy team the last couple of years and he sucked there and he's not very good as a pro either. So right, you know, they rely on that running game a lot. So if Lamar Miller can't go, that's that's a big feather in our cap. Yeah, Oh, yeah, yeah, sometimes sometimes teams let down when you know to backup is going to be in. Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, and I'm I'm hoping that we're not there, that we don't come out with that mentality. We're in desperation mode from here on out and we've been in desperation mode for about a month. My thinking has been every game for about a month now has been a playoff game. Oh Yeah, you know, and we're definitely the desperate dog that needs to get out there and start clone and fighting. We're at the Bar, twelve beers in one hundred and fifty eight. The musics come up? Did Lights are coming on in two minutes. I mean we're in beyond desperation bots, not that I know any think about that anymore, that life is gone, but that's where we are. But we've been there. What you mentioned this being the tough game. You had the rams that, you know, I thought maybe they'd win one of the two, but because of the way the season is gone, now you need to win both of them right. You know, I kind of counted on losing one of these Games. And you know who, you couldn't have figured on losing twice to Dallas and certainly try to see or Carolina, where we didn't protect leads. We've kind of dug the the eagles have done the whole of them show. Yeah, sure, I feel and I I I agree. I saw early in the season when we went through the schedule and picked our wins and losses. I picked La as a loss because of all the different factors that were going into the game. Of course, during the course of the season a whole other slew of factors come into play. Thankful it right, it is. Yeah, and and I move stood of those factors were going against the eagles, you know, the injuries in this and that. So I peg the LA game as a loss and I thought the Houston game would be a win. But then the and then that. You know, I thought Houston would be a decent team, but I thought we would be able to get the win. And the way to season started out for them. Oh and three, and then they won, I think ten or in a row. Sure that? I think it actually want the ten. No, ever since those four losses, the only loss after that was a tough one against the cults. Forty two twenty one. So right, right. I mean technically they could be on eleven game or ten game win string. Yes, point. Yeah, they've been on a roll there. You know, maybe their injuries start to catch up to them at the end of the season. We'll see. Deandre Hopkins is the type of player that it tends to drive defense is a little crazy with his legs Easton Chronicle reports, expected to play Sunday. So, yeah, he's he's soon enough. Yeah, actually, it's hot seins. Yeah, it's Miller. It's Miller, the guy that were yeah, we're hoping maybe that ankle swells on the flight here or something. Yeah, yeah, and their quarterback, watch and he's he's back a beast. He's a yes, bass off that injury and a watch. Yeah, yes, a lot of fun to watch, I agree. Hopefully not too much fun tomorrow. He can, he can kill you both ways, with the legs, with the arm, you know, with those skill players around them, he makes good choices. He gets the ball in the playmaker's hands. He picks up those yards when he needs to pick them up. Their defense is a solid, solid defaulse. I mean that defense is, you know, between what M Clowney, mcclown Clowney and merciless. I mean that's that's one of the best defensive lines in football. Yeah, you chief, they better bring it to me. Yeah, Oh, yeah, they don't. That's my biggest concern. Hm Hmm, I'm terrified. Pretty Thick. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I listen and on the way over to the radio they said that what...

...has fourteen and a half or fifteen sacks, something like something like that, and clown on the other eight or not? Yep, well, when's it? Defensive back at eight sacks in a season? I mean, you know that's crazy. I mean you got two you got to book and Defensive Ends that are sure monsters news to mean. So it's going to be a challenge. But I was listening to the Christmas music on the way over, how I was getting in the spirits of St Nick. So well, I knew we were going to wing it today, so I had to. I got it, had a bone up on my steel sub material. Yeah, some of the there you got really. So yeah, we face a very formidable opponent opponent tomorrow, specially in the defensive side. They had those questionable injuries on the offensive side, so they need to be ready. The offensive line has to have protection. They've got to they've got to be you know, they they got it set up. That wall in front of in front of folds protect him. Falls has to help his cause. Get it rid of the ball quickly, make those quick decisions, those quick reads. Get rid of that ball. Let the playmakers make plays, you know, down field after they catch the ball, short passes, you know, get that those you are yeah, I do quick place tomorrow. Yeah, like you can't have that line get beat up the whole game. No or else. No, next little on the grass, some misdirection calls maybe, and I'll get the defense only one way and you got everybody back by the way week. I mean you got small wood involved, you got moles involved. You know, you've got to keep doing that. I think that's that's part of it. You're right that lines got a block, but I think the defense, the eagles defense, has to create turnovers, yes, and special teams has to create that those. Yeah, I mean they had an interception last week, they had the two fumble recoveries. I guess they had two interceptions really with maddox and with Graham. So you've got to get pressure and you've got to create turnover. That's how you beat that team. The you here sports people involved in supports talk about the law of averages. Sooner or later they're going to catch up to you, you know, one way or the other. The Eagles went through thirteen, fourteen games all the way up to the Dallas game not getting a whole lot of turnovers. Then we get three against Dallas, we get to Yep, to two, or another three against the rams with the fumble on the punt. So maybe the law of average are starting to turn in our favor with the turnovers and we start to pile up some turnovers and that does nothing but good things for your offense when you can get get a short field, get extra possessions, capitalize on those extra possessions. So I'm hoping the law of averages are starting to catch up in our favor, because they sure weren't earlier in the season when we were what we were plus seven in ten, twelve games, whatever it was. That's a ridiculously low number right through the course of a season. To be well, some of its luck to I mean sure, you know, sure Graham interception, you know Matt's and fumbling that punt, you know, with three minutes left in the fourth quarter. I mean that was another play that we do. The Eagles weren't getting those plays and you're finally getting some breaks, sure, but we're also getting some bad breaks to I mean you get Elliott missing another field goal. I mean this kid, you know, as dynamite as he was last year. HMM, I don't know. I mean he might be looking for a job next year. I don't love kickers anyway, so I'm loyalty to them. But that's two weeks in a row where, you know, he missed the extra point against Allie and then that's you mean, yeah, no offense him, but that's a very disposable possession, specially when you have fifty other two guys to worry about. Exact right ring or no ring? Yeah, I have no loyalty to him whatsoever. So you know that kit he cannot miss any type of extra point or field goal right this week within reason. I mean I'll give him, you know, fifty and out, that's difficult, but anything inside that it's got to be. It's got to be on point. And they're going to eat those points. Yes, they are. Yeah, we Houston's a type the defense where you get the opportunity score, you got to take advantage of it. You got it, you got it. You get inside the thirty, you got to come away with at least three points. Yep, there's no two questions about it. You know, forget the Red Zone. You get inside the thirty, you got to come away with three. And you know falls has got to do his party and and dogs got to do his part. Make him call and plays, putting guys in positions, to borrow phrase from a coach from the past. Well, you know, you know what. The other thing too, I think doug. It's interesting. I almost feel like doug coaches up or down based on who he plays against. Like he kind of kind of blew the game against Dallas both times. You know, mcvay is supposed to be this boy wonder and he steps up and devises a game plan to beat the Rams. o Bryan's an excellent coach to and you saw what he did in the Super Bowl, don't yeah, hopefully he comes up with a game plan tomorrow. That's a good point. Takes out they'll be and and not to go back to la too much, but the look on the sideline on Showan mcvays when they went the camera, it was like, Oh my God, that Dy, this guy looks completely loss. That was a twitter moment for everybody. Yeah, do you think it's some point? And Taylor,...

...you know you're involved in media much more than Deacon. I that some of these guys are aware of the camera and it's almost like they get these moments where they know they're going to live in infamy. They just roll with it, you know what I mean? I understand why you say that, but I think do you think they're just I mean I think it's kind of like if you're in that, you know, intensive a moment at your job, that's kind of the last thing on the back of your mind. But I understand why you say that. I'm going to think that's what it is. But I can see why you would think that because, I mean, once he have to benefit from that. That's true. That's true, but you know, you see some of these that turn into twitter memes. I mean the alts are no lands Alonzo off the fields or like when, like, you're up in a blow out, sure, but when it's like a moment like that, I think that's hard to maybe he's not thinking that, but he's definitely poosing a bit for the chemy he has in La. So yeah, there's a little Hollywood element there. I think about the Alonzo morning one that everybody uses when you're confused, where Alonzo Mornings on the heat bench and he's kind of talking to myself takings that and I think that's just disbelief. Well, you know, that's what I think. God I don't have a camera following me around all day, because I'm sure you guys would have a left factory with that mess. Good thing they these phones didn't exist thirty plus years ago. God, might still be locked off somewhere there. There you go. Yeah, yeah, that, that just that cracked me up whenever they went to the sideline and showed his face. You know, just amusing and it was good to see that it was the other coach for Change, with that look on his face and not our coach. Well, he's become kind of a hate the face guy for me. Yeah, you know, I don't like Garrett and you know, I kind of see him with the La Scruff and it's kind of want to pop them one. I don't know, he's kind of getting annoying. I don't like people that get to you know, the boy wonder type of yeah, tight labeled on them. You know, Kiffin had that for a while. This guy's been more successful than Kim, but it kind of reminds me of that. I mean they haven't won anything and everybody's heaping praise on this more the on air unearned arrogance on the face exactly. Yeah, yeah, yes, told and the fact he's thirty something years old and he's coach has nflt. Yeah, Kiddy, thirty three years old. He's that young. I thought he was like thirty, thirty nine. He's to be your son. Wow, maybe he's thirty five minutes to get there. Biologically, yes, evantally, no chance I was having a kid at nineteen. It happens. He all right. So let's let's sweep that on to the rug and we'll sweep that on it. Let's get back to tomorrow. So how we feeling about tomorrow? What's our confidence level on on our on our hometown team? I'll let Taylor speak to that first. Not Great with the line for Nick holding up the whole time. HMM. I am definitely hopeful for the actual offense to excel, but it's going to be hard to carry this guy's for four quarters. And Yeah, I don't know yours. You're not seeing number seven in your crystal ball, are you know? Okay, I hope not. I mean ild no, no, nate sudge fell, please. Yeah, nothing against you need but in case you're listening, he should be an answer to a trivia question. Right, twenty years now. That's about it for an exacle. He was the backup quarterback for the Eagles in the silver bowl. Yeah, there's your trivia question. I think it will be close. But Houston's been on a run, like I said, just besides that colts game two weeks ago, they've been killing everybody. M Yeah, they have and they do have something to play for me and they can clear absolutely, Oh, absolutely, lie in the first round. So that is that's big. Yeah, eat that, sure it is. You do, because I think the Engling I don't think they're. They're not one or two right, good, Casey's Casey and the chargers. Well, though, actually, the charge are aren't even one or two. I think it's up for grabs. It's up for grabs. Yeah, the one in the two spot are up for grabs. Yeah, okay, so I know for sure in the winglands out case he's one or two. Yeah, Casey and the chargers are eleven and three. Houston's ten. For Pittsburgh and Baltimore are eight and five, while botimmers and six, New England's nine and five. Were's Indianapolis Colts are eight and six to yeah, and Tennessee's eight and six. Yeah, I mean I think it happened that's yeah, so everybody's got to win out. I there's not really any you know case. He's fighting for the division with San Diego, I mean or la. I keep saying San Diego. It's ALF right. I might say Bo stealths in a while. Yeah, that's it, man, for you kids on the thirty, go look it up. MMM, I'll sudden there's teams in the AFC. What I thought? Yeah, about that? Yeah, right, yeah, and it hasn't been like that in the last ten to fifteen years. It's been it's just been the lake spend Baltimore...

...and the wingland Pittsburgh and over everybody and just about everybody else coming in. But I think we're through six. Well, I think we're finally seeing the end of Tom Terrific. I mean, yeah, being his being the same age as him. You know, you're seeing him start to fall apart. My shoulders falling apart. He's falling apart. No, I'm the same time. How long have we've been saying that? True, yeah, but there I saw a stat this week. They talked about he's thrown five interceptions under the blitz this year, which is most in the NFL. And then I think it was third and long like his completion percentage is at all time low. So it's kind of you know, he's not picking up that rush as much. kind of see him turning his shoulder. He's not the fundamentals that used to guide him are kind of slipping a little bit and I think that that comes with age and it comes with, you know, an ultimate breakdown, which you're well aware of. The physical specimen to add to your point, but not in my consideration his I've read recently his knees or on the has been given him issues. Yeah, for a while now. I don't know if he's been on the injury report every week, but for a knee which he would you trust anything coming out of injury and then drew. Now again, we don't talk politics, but that's like trusting whatever comes out of you know, the big guys twitter wrecked while he dumper for in the morning. So you know, I'm not trusting anything that comes on belichecks car report. Yeah, I but he has had a knee injury for a good portion of the season. So and they said, and what I read, they said that that's messing with his mechanics. He's not getting that same zip on the throw that he normally gets. Due to that knee injury, he's his weapons or his feet aren't getting planted. Well, I'll so you see what happened Josh Gordon with down the weed ronks heard again. I mean they've been battered a little bit. Not really replenished the weapons up there, and know they haven't. And then they get rid of Jimmy Garoppolo. You know. So, yeah, I mean that's just in step with what they do. They don't, you're exactly right. They don't get rid there. They don't restock the weapons back. What they do, you know, they keep that offensive line. They try and keep that F offensive line effective. They you know, and I think that's been a key to their longevity. In addition to write well, that we're back in the cash. I mean that's the old parcels model, right. Sure, I d line, but yeah, mm so, I'm sorry your confidence level for tomorrow. Hi. Hi, very kind. Okay, I think they continue this role. You see them embracing this scheme. Ask We're going to rob you kind of mentality. Nick foles has what a shrine in his locker now. I mean it's not that's like right out of major league. You know, fuck you, job WHU. I do it myself. Say That's what's going on there. So Rano, where's he? That? We's page arson, now you need them. I mean it's pretty awesome. I mean, I don't know that somebody's gonna be sacrificing a chicken in the locker room, but right, right, you know, that type of magic is what carries teams, right. I mean you know the skill level. Is there a difference on the field? Yeah, but when they start believing in themselves, I don't think that can be understated. A silly thing that bring everybody together kind of means more than at actually meet Si. Yeah, because a lot of the if you look at a lot of the matchups, it's chalk right, like players, I mean the difference in speed and size, it's minimal. Yeah, so when they start buying into that, or yeah, I agree with you, Taylor. I think it's a thing to rally around for everyone. It seems silly on it really doesn't matter right, right in the mind of an athlete because they're superstitious to begin with. Or Yeah, you know, I agree with you. That is side. How do you think Carson's handling this thought? Well, I mean he might be the nicest man and felt selfy. Exactly. Forget you so an ego and some see the YEP, Yep. Forget all the religion and all the humility. Underneath all bar is not here. Right underneath all that, you have a professional athlete who's got a very competitive nature in the fire, in the belly and who's got an ego. Yep. So how do you think he's handling this little demotion? Wrong? This well know shrine rally, the shrine to Nick. It's got to be tough, because I don't think they rallied like that around him and I think exactly, you know, that comes that's where I'm talking. He comes out and performs like that. It does a lot of things right, like absolutely the locker rooms believing in Nick foles. HMM. You have a Texans defense that, you know, probably looked at the game last week, like everybody else except me, and said, Oh my God, they're going to get smoked. You know, they're putting Nick foles in and then it's magic nick foles again and everybody kind of has to everybody gets swept up in that. Yeah, and I think it's some point. Do you know to your point Carson's got to be sitting there going what's he got that? I don't HMM. You know, I've got a better arm, I'm more mobile. You know I'm the pedigree. Nick foles is not, because he he's got more personality than Nick Falls does and they're both. You're not having a beer with either of...

...those guys. I mean I I can see myself having a beer carson. Now you're having a you're having a coffee post church session. Yeah, now I think you could have a beer with with Carson. I don't think he drinks. Not Judging that, but I don't. I got it. It doesn't seem one to put them back. No, no, all right. I mean he's not going to the champagne room amber. No, and he's not sipping on POPs it at nine o'clock in the word. You are. Yeah, what are you talking about? Well, but there is something to be said with that where these guys are embracing. You know, I think you know Carson is the unquestioned leader, right, because you're the franchise quarterback and that respect him for that. But there's a there's an embrace with folds that he isn't there with Wentz. Yeah, and I don't know what that hundred percent you know, is. He's also he's also walk the walk. I mean guy won them a super yeah. So, yeah, it's really hard to dis yeah out of it's the same guy. Yes, Locker Room. It's not like he went to a different team and they're going, all right, he's got this pedigree. Yeah, it was his team. He beat the Patriots when Tom Brady through throw five hundred yards. Yeah, you know it, dame, it's life. Nobody can say that except for Nick. It's a one man club, that's right, and nick falls is the number one. He's he's it for that club. I mean that's insane. Yeah, that he was able to do that. So what the Hell happens? All Right, I'M gonna I'm gonna just say it. I think they win tomorrow. I think they win a tight one, but I think they win something like thirty thirty four, I think. Sure, yeah, you know, I don't think you're going to stop the Texans offense. I think it's just going to be a more of a shootout. But what happens there's just dream a little bit. I'm not going to say Super Bowl because that would not put this I mean that would be. I heard this all week on the radio. I didn't listen to the radio, about playoff appearance. First, let's let's say win tomorrow. First, all right, he carries them to the playoffs. Okay, and he carries them, meaning they don't win in spite of him, they win because the cause of them and he dropped. You know, let's say we get a round or two in the playoffs. What happens here? Nothing. Yeah, Carson stay. Some point, nothing, Carson stay. If I'm our I'm not saying get rid of Carson, but if Carson can never get fully healthy, different story. If not, then having come on, this isn't conversation. Okay, okay, how about this? He does win the Super Bowl again and against I listen, but it if he does at that point once pops did you having there, barely assist? It was delicious. If that happens, and I'm not predicting that, but I'm just playing along, if that happens at some point, doesn't Doug have to say it's an open competition for quarterback at least? No, no, no, the guy went. If the guy wins to super late, he won one and I think he's earned that. He wins and open competent or quarterback competitional. If he wins another super bowl, no, no, you said awful one he earned. I said he almost earned it off a one. Okay, but let's say he wins another one. You don't think that. Stop. I'm just just said if you I'm just dreaming a little bit. If you don't see I see them. You are. I see the differences between them. I agree with you. I agree with health. That's all this on. Carson's a better player, there's no question. But there is that I don't know what it is. Jim harball had it as a quarterback. There's a certain leadership rally around follows that we're seeing. It's more we got nothing, desperation, nothing lose. Okay, Guy's more than yeah, the player, and I think, I think somebody has to get into Carson's ear and say, Yo, dude, there's more than eighty six on the field. Find Them. Well, that's the coach job. Yeah, or yeah, Frank Reichs job, who's could yea, I'm going to be coach of the year this year, where somebody, yeah, right, maybe Nick's Faul says to him, Hey, while you're enjoying that the bottom of the bench. Look, I'm throwing the ball around. Check that out, guys. No, I'm that. That's not that's what any that's that's when Danny White and Roger stallback happens again behind the shed and they do get out. If Carson or or if nick does that their cars, and God, I wish those two would have bring damaged each other. My life a lot easy and everybody else right here. No, that's that's terrible. All right. Well, my confidence level is not as high as yours. Yeah, I do think they win. Yep, I'm not going to say it's a it's a if we get into a shootout, I don't know. I don't know if the offense is back to last year's level, though. No, no, no, you know. So I don't know. If we win to shootout, I think the defense has to show up again and we got a limit. If we got a limit, there their star potential on the offensive side. That's how they win. If we get turnovers going. Yeah, I think that's really I want to see a defensive touchdown. Yeah, I mean, I think that would be huge. I think it would be necessary to beat this team and and special teams got to continue there their steady play. Yeah, you know they they came up with a turnover last week. Yep, it's not because somebody hit the guy with...

...the ball. You A guy fumbled it all his own and we just happen to land on it. That was nice. I think we need to, you know, the state, the special teams need to continue that steady play. Turnover from them would go a long way to helping us again, but I think the keys the defense coming up strong, coming up big again, and and limiting the damage that their playmakers make. I'm I'm all the of the opinion of maybe like a twenty seven seventeen kind of win, two twenty kind of win, maybe two twenty one. You know, somewhere in that neighborhood, we're not going to pin you down, are we? Now? Now, now I'm leaving my options open. As the elder statesman on the show, I reserve the right to keep my options open. There you score, there you go. So I'm looking at that that kind of a game. I think that. You know, I think our offense scores, because we have been scoring in the s. You know, the defense has to limit specially we're playing at home, so the defense has to has to bring it tomorrow and keep that keep that offense, you know, to keep them off the board for most of the time. You know they're going to score, but you got to keep them off the off the score board most of the time. So I'm I'm fairly confident, you know, sixty percent or better, that we went to our nice. Yeah, now, isn't this nice, going into the holiday season? Right, like a month ago, you know, we almost had the eagles close to dead three. They were life support. No, that support after the days right loss, good Lord, although Kva and never came in for the last right. STATEUM in. Yeah, they were on. They were last right, they were on the lit on the list of last rights. WHO's next? Yeah, and now they're back front and center and it's interesting. It's a gift because, you know, I want the eagles to go as long as they can, but it's also become a distraction from all the other things that are going on in Philly sports and, as I say the last couple minutes, why don't we touch on so it's sure. Yeah, I wanted to get into into the phillies. I've been saying all along they don't get either or it's an and I'm starting to think that I said the DJ yesterday. I said the longer Machado has to think about it, yeah, the less likelihood he's here. Yeah, he should have walked out yesterday or Thursday, maybe not with a contract, but by to by yesterday morning say yeah, I'm signing with the phillies. That didn't happen. He said, what did he say? I want to take the weekend to think about it. I'll let you know next week. Well, that's basically given the Yankees, you know, time to come up with right. Three exactly. But isn't that crustrating? That's kind of like, you know, we're trying to avoid this and I know Santa is working really hard to find Jimmy Butler Jersey's. Right now Santa is going and his helpers going to be looking all afternoon. But you know, we went into the offseason hoping for Harper or Machado and we're going so far MC Cutchen, which is a nice but it's almost like you wished for the big bike, you guys, you got it. You got like a tricycle, tricycle. Yeah, it's frustrating. Yeah, it's forrustrating and and this owner, you know, he's going to go from, I would say, a kind of a neutral figure to, you know, somebody that we liked, with all this potential. He could end up being one of the most hated figures in town if they don't get any of these run of the dime sure, and you're speaking at John Middleton right. Yes, it's not Clintach. No, I'm talking about no, I'm talking about Midleton where, you know, he opened his big mouth and we're going to be, you know, spend an obscene amount of money, he said. And don't set those expectations, my man. No, now, not, not shoot, you know. And that's where I'm shocked. That day one, you know, obviously harper wants to get paid. You're in Vegas, you're in his hometown. I don't even meet with them like my expectation was they drive to his house with the brinks truck, you know, dump four hundred and fifty on orm whatever he wants and say, Hey, here you go, we're going to make it impossible for you not to sign where you need right. And they didn't do that. Oh, and they're going to struggle because of it, because people have lost interest in this base, in baseball, in this town. I believe it. Yes, you know, the look at this, the attendance last year. The attendance is down. I think people are frustrated with the analytics. I think people are. You know, the Ballpark is the newness of that I've worn off. It's fifteen years old, you know, and people are spending their money else where. The flyers. That's a mess, but the sixers have really caught fire in this town. People only have so much sports capital. It's bet around in the phillies are dangerously becoming close to being her own. HMM. Yeah, I agree. They in and that. I think the common theme was that we were going to Land Harper, and that's not looking likely either, because now the dodgers made two big yep trades with with camping and PUIG. They're making room to lands harper. Well, I did, we I did read. They're still so. They're going to release homer Bear Bailey and he's nineteen million. So that still counts against their cap or the luxury tax. So there's still seventeen million over the luxury tax. Okay, so they've still got to do do a lot more. Sure Baseball luxury tax. I think it's one for one dollar.

For one, for one. Yeah, so I don't know that they want to pay that tax. I think they're over that. One hundred and eighty five. A hundred eighty five million. Hmmm. But you're right. They're making moves in that direction, which the phillies a few weeks ago. They Trade Santana, they bring a hoskins back, you know, to first base. I think they're making moves. Yeah, now we're going to get. Now we get MC Cutchen, who I think is a nice fifth yesault, I have no probably hits twenty seven homers. He plays a nice left field or right, wherever you want to play. It's a dream leadership. On base percentage, nice slugging percentage. It made at its ease. It makes the team better. Yeah, Cigara makes the team better. Yep, because now you can put kingary back at his natural position and second base. His natural position should be scripting or well, High Valley. He's not ready to play a big leaks. I'm trying to be in a Christmas mood here and not totally trash the guy. Well, I'm going to trash guys because we we wanted to compare. Kind of agree with you, but everybody wants because the Philadelphia loves the Hustler and you know, we say he's chase. He's not. That was you know, we did the same thing with WHO's the third baseman? Left en the Ash Ashy, cody, ash cody, as should he reminded people to chase out lads didn't turn so yeah, so, but if they're the big moves of the offseason, it's a bomb. It's at disappointing offseason, to say the least. Will they win more games? Yeah, they probably will, but they're not. What if they expect and are just built up to this point? That? Yeah, it's going to be a yeah for everybody. Mean they were nationals are better, the braves are better, the mets have made moves. The mets better. MMM. I mean they could end up, you know, in third or fourth place in the division and that's it, you know, for a young team. Sure, the disaster. Yeah, and I saw something on facebook yesterday that the lineups in the national league central. Each team has four or five hitters that are just like wow, that's a good line up right there. And it's every team in the national league central. HMM. So you know, yeah, that the phillies got to make some some more noise if they want to be considered to have a successful offseason. And the only way it's going to be done is the land one of those two. Yep, but I'm starting to think it's not going to happen. I hate to bring that bad news. Yeah, but what what you mentioned? You wanted to talk about something before the show started. What it was just kind of alone those lines of, you know, the gifts that we were hoping for for Christmas and then what we've got, you know, and we've gone through some of those. You know. We were hoping for a healthy car, so we now are some once we got folds. We're hoping for Machado or Harper. We got MC cutchen. I mean I wasn't hoping for Gritty, but we did get Carter heart this week. I'm actually interested in lucky a little bit again. Yeah, yeah, I'm that could be a nice president under the tray. Um, yes, I I like they finally, you know, brought the kid up. He's really still really young. We've been hearing about him for two years now. He's still really young on teen years old. Well, now he's actually twenty. Is it's one of yea, He's twenty he's he wanted. He's the second youngest, second youngest lay to win his his debut at twenty years, a hundred twenty seven days. I think the thing said there's there's still a lot of hockey to be played for the season. You know, they have to make more moves. Other than that, you know, they got to get more defense. That you know, I don't think the front office is done with the with the bench. You know, as far as the coaches are constrite, they've got to decide what they're going to do there. Are they going to keep what's his name, Scott Gordon? Yeah, are they going to keep Scott Gordon permanent or when you keep them in are? They keep talking about Quinnville, but he was at sky and he had better things to do. And many still getting about a blackhawks right. Maybe there's moves to be made. I don't know. But for me I haven't watched much hockey the last few years, I mean either frustrated with what's going on there. So this is kind of a given me something to watch. Sure, my son was like, Daddy, you're watching a flyers and yeah, yeah, why not? Yeah, then I told you know, the kids in there and it gives you a little bit of hope, which is not yes, it's it's something to tie you over during the week, you know, waiting for some day and then, hopefully, after two more Sundays, we keep playing. But is it going to be enough to carry you through after football is finally said and done? Well, that's what the sixers are for. Wow, that's another story to get into. I'm not totally convinced they're enough to keep his tied over. Come on, dude, we're going to find that a lot on Tuesday night. Well, all the raptors tonight without ie out. But yeah, still, I mean that's a team that bloods out Golden State last week by twenty plus. So there's still they're so killer team without one of the best players in these yeah. So, you know, yeah, we're going to find out a lot over these, over tonight and on Tuesday. They need more death. That...

...is any more they need to say. Need A for, not a not a power for, but they need that fourth guy in the lineup that brings it. You know, needed Dario. It's a shame that he had to be included again. Yeah, third big piece. Yeah, that's where they swung and missed. Where they couldn't get anything done over the summer, couldn't land a big free agent, because then you wouldn't have had, you know, Covington. I'd I'm fine giving up. Sure, got Jimmy Butler back, but you're right, they are missing the gap with with Dario. They're missing they need another shooter off the bench. To me, and I don't know that Austin, I mean Austin rivers, is out there. Tell you touch it? Yeah, not, not. He doesn't really excite me. Trevor reasy getting traded. I mean they've got to figure something out. But the NBA there's always going to be guys that are going to be on the move. Yeah, at some point, and this is a destination. We've seen that the last couple years, is it? Oh, yeah, absolutely. For the guys that are, you know, is firing contract. Absolutely. Well, wasn't for Lebron. Now I'm not talking about him, I'm talking about guys. They end up contract and we hear all last summer we were never do it again, you were never getting tailor. I said we were never getting Lebron, but I heard a lot of because we including my older song. That's because we didn't get the golden goose doesn't mean we can't get, Ye, something else below that level. Yeah, I mean he's going the malvern right, Rabb I'll listen. Last year you got bell and Ellie late. So, yeah, and Aliasova, and you brought him back twice. That's what I'm talking about. That's but that acquisition helped them. I mean those yeah, absolutely like them to a sixteen hurting streak. Sure that will happen, and that's what I mean by attractive. There's guys that either get released or are in the end of the contracts. The Hey, get me out here, give me a chance to play too. I'm not as expecting something on that level because, I mean, looking back on it's like how the hell did they get both those guys, hmm, off the waivers? MMM, yeah, yeah, they should have resigned one of them. I agree, it's not a lot of money. I'm really a sofa is a nice piece to have. I would have liked to have him back over bell know it, because I think bell know he's a one trick pony. At one trick scoring points and be Oh yeah, yeah, buttrick is shooting the three which, yes, with the love right now, which, unfortunately, on that three shot was actually a too, but at the end of the Buzzer to go in again. Yeah, when it would end, but it was a too instead of a three. If it was a three, we win there. Would have we would have won that game. I mean, I have a car. I wish it was a cadillac, but it's still a car. You know, I mean right there with you, in fact, minds right next to yours out there. Yeah, I it would be nice to to land some players at you know, trade deadline, free agents, you know, whatever opens up. Yep, I don't know if it's going to happen. I don't know what we you know what? What? What we have in the works? Well, brain is thinking about I don't know. His showed you that he's going to be aggressive, I mean the guard, and I like that. I like that. Yeah, smart and I don't know, I don't think they sit on their hands. Yeah, yeah, to go for it with the younger guys on these chaper contracts. You do like that? Windows only open some. Hmmm, yeah, because it wants to. You know, how long is been going to want to stick around with this? People talk about him leaving. Stop It. Why? Because he's dating a Jenner now, stop. No, not, got nothing to do with that. He's not going anywhere. You think? Know, why would? If they if they show enough winning culture? I think it's. Yeah, I think he likes it here. Yes, but they got to get pissed that first round and they got to beat Toronto and Boston. Well, they got not being Toronto, I'll tell you that. I obviously they're not right now, but they could be bought. Boston struggling. Austin's not the team they were. Do they get pissed, like I said at Parkwood, and tell you what are I know the I know how the story ends before I open the book. They're going out in the second round. If you, if you would have said that before the playoffs last year, you would have disappointed yourself. That's that's the beautiest, like whatever in fifty two games last year. Yeah, I know, I stot it. They're still like and they went happen the second round and they went out, went out of whimper and they got some first they got play. It's a first time. They got back to the playoffs. Yeah, and they're young. Joel and beach, twenty four years old. Jesus. Yeah, Joh Thousand Twenty s about unfair expectation. Exactly. Yeah, NBA takes some time. You get to your point in life where a mat and then you're going to have some unfair expectations because you want more parades on the street. Mane, you still got plenty of time left. You get. So do the guys on the Sixers, which is my point. Yeah, you just proved. Yeah, I'm good with where they're at there and I think they can go deeperhood with where they're actus. They're fun to watch there during Yur enjoyable. They're a good team. I you know, I like Jimmy Butler, I like band, I like Joel You, but they got to start bringing more. Yeah, but you you to win in the NBA, you have to have three superstars now, right like. That's the kind of precedents some set. Yeah, they have that. So if they can add other pieces around and you get some of these guys to step up, I think they're right there. I mean you can't. He can't name him a bigger trio under thirty in the NBA. Really? No, okay, I'll...

...durrant you that, but we thanked for four years, Oh boy, but that is not the guy now. Right. But no, it does have something to do with now, because we thank you for years. You see twenty one out there to get to the point where we're at now, but to see twenty one out there further along in the playoffs. Seek you have a generation player. You have a guy that might be I think could end up going down. If he spends his whole career here, he could be the best sixer ever. Like, where did I talk? I don't say that without understanding the history. I appreciate the history of the superis to bona fide superstars, superstars, super which is impossible to get five players in the NBA, both of them maybe top six, if you want to put Ben no six. Yes, well, I thought you meant been all along. He's got it, developing outside shot, he's got it. He's got a progress his game. His didn't happen. It's going there. They're going to shut him down, and they are. You know, look what Boston did last year in the playoffs. I'm more worried about how teams is than has shot. Yes, more worried what valises? Yeah, he doesn't need a shot right now. No. Well, at what point is he going to need a shot? When when they can't, still can't advance past the first round and it is athleticism. Isn't what he would like when he's thirty years old and he's been making all star teams doing what he's doing. and Mr Grentchil, I know she said No. I just want I want more from from the team. I want them to be a better team. They should have won fifty two games. I think that might have been the worst. Well, that's fourteen game win streak helped. It might have been the best and worse seeing that happen because they're these huh expectations. I said, yeah, yeah, this guy over here and and and I know we kid around with you know, with with my age and whatnot, but you got to understand where, where I'm coming from. I've I've seen way too much losing for, you know, four hundred and fifty four years in life. Should know how there be a works at this my way night. That's what I'm surprised by. You know, it's it's been. There's been way too much losing on my ends not nearly enough winning. Think about people that live in in the New England area. Think about people to live in New York. You know they've had nothing but winning. You know, if you're a fan. Yeah, Ye, Maan, it was gonna decades and that ready next one thousand nine hundred and seventy three knicks ever watch talking about that. The Yankees, you know, and the giants have have how many super bowls they got for Super Bowl when you know it's I'm tired of being sixers. Are the Yankees? That's the no, no, no, but dee dee, there on the path, though, right like what we've wanted. The whole point of the process was to get them to where they are now. Yes, and that gives you a wind show whether it's four years, five years, that you have a chance to win a championship. He just need the foundation. You need to found that in. The foundation is stronger than most teams in the NBA. They they have to progress past the first round and I don't see them doing that. That's my point. I mean that's I think that's easy to picture. Yeah, and I don't see them doing that for the next two three years if Toronto stays way. They the way they are in Boston said where they aren't believe that the end of the season in Quis gonna leave it and he's going to he's not going to stay in Toronto, he's going to go west. I mean the clippers have a ton of money and there is his contract up at the end of the season. Yes, okay, so that's why they did that. And then you know, but as far as they're not progressing, I mean you look at the east. The only teams I see really strong in the east going forward obviously the Celtics in the bucks, but that other than that, I mean, I don't believe in this. You Watch it, not basketball. You believe in this Pacers Group, not particular. I mean that. I mean they'll be too tough, the having a series, but I mean I don't really see him killing anybody. Not as a championship team, though, right there that they're in that purgatory. That's Toronto and everybody else's Toronto and everybody else. But you know, the Pacers are in that middling purgatory area where they're like they're going to be perpetual for to six seed. I mean, I don't know, dicky, I don't know, my man. We started on such a high note. Yeah, we did, and I don't want it to minish that. We, e goes, are going to win Tomorre. You're an undercover New Jersey next fan, aren't you? No, no, see what I'm wearing here. Uh Huh, Huh. Now, Eagles went tomorrow. Yes, it's a competitive, entertaining game. Yes, all, we come out with the win. We go down to DC, we get that when, I'm sorry, landover, we get that win there. We're in the playoffs. Still need some help. Yeah, we need help. We need we need a lot of real yep, real quick class question. What the Hell is with the Chris mariges thing? Like, why? It's why is he announcing his surgery and not the team? What? You know what? You bring up a good point. It's so odd. He's hope wasn't the surgery months ago. His whole presence is odd. Why did he speak on the art museum steps to the Super Bowl pread last year? He didn't...

...play in that. He didn't play in the regular season. But point, he's a special team's got a point, is he? Is he a figure in Philadelphia? I couldn't tell you. Yeah, I don't get it. That's that's a good point. He yeah, he shouldn't have been speaking. It's okay for Carson to speak, but somebody like Chris Maragos who cares about the curtainery. I mean he's at an afterthought. I honestly, until you brought it up, until they announced this week, I for till he announced it, I forgot he was even a door round, a glouting. Yeah, I yes, I'm in that, in that boat too. I forgot he was on the team. You know, it's a shame, because he did. He' said. He's a solid, really good special teams player, but a specialty and flyer diamond. Does you put them on on the field at the safety and like it's just adding so odd. Yeah, it is. It's extremely odd. You're exactly right. Arears. It's played out the pits two years. It's kind of the way to false thing is handled, with him going out to La to get better, get his head, to get, I mean, a shoulder together. Good luck you that talk six is anyone? No, yeah, you're banned from six ers talk. Jeez, no, boys in the fifth quarter are going to lose their mind if they hear this. All Right, folks, the music tells me it's time to wrap it up. Little waitresses, put a big bow on it. There you go. Yeah, waitresses, I like this song. Good pick again their Taylor. All I folks, let's have a merry Christmas. Verry. Chris Art and off would a win. That's right, and hopefully two sixers get that win. Yes, no, maybe, so Machado or Machado under the tree. And Yeah, yeah, that would be nice to that would be nice to see, but I'm taking anywhere, apparently. Yeah, God, yeah, it's been a fun show. I enjoyed it. A lot of back and forth. All Right, folks, will see you. Not sure when. Maybe nextly, next week. Yes, if there another eagles win, there you go. Good job. Very Christmas, Verry, Christmas number.
