ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Look the morning sports fans who are listening to another episode of the Santa Boot first podcast. I'm getting right into it. We got a room fall of folks today. Today's the big fifty episode for us here at Santa Boot first. So we brought in, you know, we have the old heads that have been here from the beginning, myself, Mr Dick Martin, Mornay, D Good Morning. We got behind the glass the producer of the stars, tk. How we doing? Good, good, big FIF tk. And now I'm gonna go around a room with my guests. Those on facebook club you'll see someone in the shots. I'm not in the shot, but we have two of our our regulars now, Dj Martin, more the magnificent Martin's in here together once again, and then father mark Cavarra, father carmine, coach ts are. What else did we call you? Other eats, ruler of the father eat, eat, super eats. Get it right. Get it right, father eats whatever, and we also have to his right. This is great for radio and for fight for facebook. We can't say it is father marks, brother Luke. I think at one point when Luke was in here on a prior show, you introduced him as your son. Yeah, that was especially wow. Wow. For those that don't recall that episode, it took a little bit to get luke back in here because Luke did say the cowboys. I don't know if you said the cowboys in the playoffs. It was a it was a game. Cowboys in the Super Bowl. Yeah, Patriot. For some reason it's called panicking. Welcome back, Luke. Thanks for coming in for the big fifty, our worst teams to pick. We are powered every week, not just by while fist every week, I'm all fire radio, but by POPs mcade's Irish whiskey. Absolutely, we got our guy j five back in here. What is I love what I like? I love the CAN. There you go, get in there saying Nice. So how how's thanks? We got with the whiskey. Great, go. Yeah, can't complain. You know, that's I was just talking about outside. It's, you know, great year was only like a really nine month calendar year and it was only like really a six month selling here. So can't complain. And the best thing about the whiskey is is that it's it's like a tenfold story that I won't get into, but it's just put awesome amounts of people, good people of Philadelphia together, good people around the state, Scranton, Pittsburgh, just a good people are coming out willing to help, and then I'm meeting all these good people and we're just it's just good vibed people, nothing but love, you know, the Philly love, the State Law of the Jersey Love. It's been great, you know, and people just been awesome and just meeting, seeing old friends again, meet and new friends. So it's been it's been awesome. So as long as I show it down, there will be talk. I talk your football, will be talking whiskey, we talking food. JEFF TIPS gonna call in, will we're gonna be all over the cod. Questions. We got questions first. Well, shots loose to the fifteen episode. HEVERYBODY for coming in. Thanks to our loyal listeners and friends. And there's guys. Congratulates more right, all right, come on there, we got a C it is wild card weekend, so another reason to be extra stacked at here. Get Nice of wild in here, off the beard out for you guys. Nobody mentioned it though. Sorry, all right, now, I get now. I get likes to. It's like the white it's like the wife's new hairstyle. You just don't notice it or the haircut. It's not right. The can always notice someone's going to be locked out. All right, we got the win last week. I think we're all confidence. Lay Confident. Last week over the red skins. We all walked out of this room saying of eagles would beat the redskins. Yep, we were unsure of the bears in the Vikings and our prayers were heard. Vikings did what they're good at doing and rolled over and the bears whooped them. So here we are. Eagles are in the playoffs. I think the one team that I know the NFC probably doesn't want to see, but maybe the lead doesn't want to see, make it in the playoffs. As Malcolm Jenkins said, here, mups, please we kick the fucking door down. So we're at it's believable, unbelievable game. That was great. It was great and this team is the rolling at the right time. They got a hot hand. So where do we go from here? I know we go to Chicago. How we feeling that this? You kind of you? I'm fairly confident that we win this game. I think we're better than fifty that we win. We need to keep the score low, which I think we're more than capable of doing. I got to keep an eye on that. Treka Cohen. He's their version of Darren sprowls. I think he's their biggest threat. Alan Robinson also had a had a good year. Please staying yeah, I know, I know, I was hoping could get through that without that mention. I haven't mentioned to state a couple weeks. I think yeah, but I think Mitchture biscay first...

...time around in the playoffs, second year in the League. I think if we bring the pressure, we get in this face, we don't let him scramble, you know, keep them contained in the pocket, I think we can limit his damage and that defense on the other side for Chicago is a tough one, you know, headed by Khalil Mac they're there. That's a tough group back there and it's going to be tough to score if you know the crowds going to be in it. I know a lot of people are talking about going out, but it's going to be a tough crowd. It's going to be cold, it's going to be hard to throw the ball. I don't know if it's going to be windy, but being the windy at windy city. I'm assuming it will have some sort of wind, so it's going to be tough to move the ball against these guys, but I think in the end we're able to score just enough points to get the win. Hopefully, because not long ago was the thirty anniversary of that infamous fog bowl. I was going to bring that up. Hopefully we don't have a repeated at because that was just a travesty of the game. I'm sure some of you guys have seen it on replays, but they're eddie guys. Just weren't old enough to even was remember that. Oh, you aren't born yet. Far I know you weren't born yet. I remember it. You Remember? You're old enough. Five. Well, that's kind of like my wheelhouse. When I really started to get into football, it was eighty eight. That was eleven years old, Buddy, Ryan Years We deek. Well, you're lad. Was it eighty eighty eight? I think I was called fog bowl for a lot of right where you rod? Well, I flies not here to remind you. Hold you are. So that's true. So you got to pick up the slack. Yeah, so it looks like there's three of us. That night tell her tower wasn't no. Yeah, I'm working on stuff, but I don't worry, I'll get you there. Yeah, so the the infamous fog bowl. Hmm, I took that. Doesn't up again. That was that was a weird game, like there was a lot of yards put up the game. Yeah, I looked at I look back at the history and it was it was almost like the Super Bowl game. It was four hundred thirty yards by the bears and three hundred forty yards by the eagles. HMM. So it was a lot of yard but they just halftime came and you couldn't see the field. Now and we should have won that king. And oddly enough, it was a bright sunny day when the great they started. Yep, yeah, I mean Bright Sunny Day, and then somebody flipped a switch and all his fog rolled in all the lake and pull, there goes my TV screen. But then Donny Mac made up for it. He went down there in two thousand and two and we beat them in a divisional championship Brown. So here we are again, back in Chicago against the bears. I agree with you that the players to watch. On the bare side it's Cohen and on the defensive side it's Cleo Mac and just containing both of those players. I'm hoping at the inexperience of the bears is what really pulls us through. I'm getting signal from tk that we got our first guest on the line. Is this cheft him? Gentleman, this is indeed cheft him. Hey, no, novacare complex. How you doing? Good? How you doing tim? Thanks for giving us some time here. Doing good man, all the worries. Man, we're rainy Saturday getting these guys ready to get on the airplane go kicks in Chicago. But there you go. He got them all the ill got a nice breakfast in. Everybody's Fed and fat and happy. Dude. Everybody is hyped, happy, fed and where to go kick some ass. Nice, Nice. So all week going through it, I saw your devour the competition. This week. You had some dogs and some brots. You got the Chicago theme going there and he deep deep eat deep dish pizza going on. There was talk of doing some deep dish pie, but they're going to be out there. I'm gonna left the chicagoans handle that. We could do it here, but we try to keep them lean and mean before they hit the road. So we just went with some really banging Chicago style hot dogs and BRATS and I'm even doing a Chicago style chicken sausage today and we got some Chili rocking as well. Nice. Nice. So they fly out to Chicago today. Is there still some front office folks and other folks to just hang around for a bit and then they go out tomorrow's everybody going out today? Some folks who headed out already, some of the top people in front office, some people fly out with the team. It all depends on exactly where we're going to, how long the flight is, what stay is, stuff like that. You know, with the Super Bowl last year, obviously a lot of people went out a week ahead of time. All your your ground crew, operations, your staff. That would completely make sure that everybody had what they needed. This type of thing, with wild card spot it, they're going to just treat up like another game. So you can have a couple guys go out ahead of time, make sure the thing's cool and you'll have a lot of guys fly with the team. Today. They're they're wheels up around two hundred and thirty, so good to go. Box Launches for the plane. We don't do. Now we have a nice full buffet form. We're doing Latin Mexican cuisine,...

...so we've got some breakfast burritos to go. We've also got some Quidova style Taco Bowl, some soft shell Tacos, hard shell tacos. Were doing some bising burgers and, like I said, the Chili and the chicken sauce. There's a lot of grabbing ghost stuff. So the guys can literally come out of the practice, you know, get shower, get change, grab whatever they need a head over to the airfield till we got seven people in the studio with their male's winding right now. How many you got? We got, said we got a full House today. Tip. This our fifty. How do you send them all in that room? Clothing over there, man, big shoe worn. We're comfy. This is is the riven in the house or now? Father, yeah, I'm right here to him. How are you? What? You never can never showed up. Didn't saying and your own for to father. None that. I send you an email. I guess it didn't go through. It must have been spammed. Yeah, the old I said. Yeah, did you make them? Did you make the Sandwich? Because I I'll cook span, but I don't. I'm not outside source, but did you make this air? We got to get together. We definitely got to get together. Okay, I've been so busy. It's been so busy here, you know, winning games and stuff, and little feeling much. I did make the sad much for a test run, though, and it's delicious. So we're going to be ready to go. All right, that's good to have one. Even add a little egg plant to it. So it was. It was amazing. All right, little my people will get in touch with your people. All right, father chefted. We also in the studio here to our Buddy Jason Fog, owner proprietor of POPs McCain's Irish whiskey an he sauces. You can do it. We have to get you a bottle for you to celebrate a good deal. I did a shoot for cocacola yesterday with tackled Jordan Mulatta and we did a bourbon urban garlic chicken with a whiskey chicken gravy with some Friday onions. Nice, man, that touff was off the chain. I'll get you a bottle to cook with. I can find a way to put whiskey and anything there. You Go, hug get your bottle to cook with and I'll get your bottle to celebrate with on feeding all those boys and having a good year and being the man. Celebrate. Let's let's ring in the end of the season, if you get my absolutely grip. So I was listening to the newest episode of Your podcast, cheft him has defeating the birds podcast. You had Jason Jordan Matthews on. Those are two things that came out at for me to Tim. One, you need to have him on their earlier because he talked about Nashville and that place Monell's, and Nashville sounded awesome. We were down to Nashville. That would be good information to have ahead of time. Tim, let me come on and then the man as they come to me. Then I do the interviews. The season schedule is so tight that when we can get in the studio and get these guys interviewed, we do it as we can. So there's a lot of times where we'll have somebody scheduled and then, because of a change in practice, we're changing schedule or you know, they go on a winning spree and all of a sudden you can't grab that interview that they want to ride away because they're more focused on what's going on on the field, you know. So Jordan was a little bit later. I wish I'd had him round when we were playing the titans. Book were you going to do, man, and I'm still good food all around. Oh yeah, he is. I was a creative you to. It's a great for a while. He mentioned, though, when he was talking about sandwiches. Was a little disappointed. He mentioned subway and Jimmy John's. Yeah, let him know he's in the heart of Jogieville. Like good sandwich is gonna steer him straight, tim steer him to a good local shop. Hook. PROBLEM IS I hook come up here. So are you go? Yeah, man of cold sandwiches, and I guess he was. He was ripping a little bit on a cold sandwich spots, but I was like Kay, they'll heat him up for you over there. You don't have to always have them gold. So he's like that's why I got you and I see whatever they need. Man, I haven't had a chance yet, but I see you got a video now, you and Kelsey doing some breasts gets. I'll check that out. Definitely Dusky guy for my barbecue. You can go a few consurge of bits with the birds on facebook. You can pull those up or you can go to philadelphiaglescom under UPLOADS for video and they're also all there. The last one we just wrap, like I said, with Jordan Mulatto, with that Bourban urban garlic chicken. That stuff was killer. So make sure everybody checks that one out because I was a lot of fun him dough. We'll do all right. Before we let you guy know you're a busy man. You're feeding all these big bullies. We need a prediction. Who You got? Told you broad I'll make predictions. I feed champion make promises and I put fuel on that tank and I get them ready to go and play the big game. So we take it a game at a...

...time. My prediction is going to fly out the Chicago and next week we're going to be flying down the Los Angeles can we're going to be flying down to knowledge the logans. That's my prediction. Were going to be going down in the ORLANS wow. So it sounds like thirty one to twenty one. That sounds like a chef him. You want to translate that, you gotta cheft him to score. Translator over there. Absolutely, it's chef speak. We get it. I just want to seem I want to see him ball out just like they did the last three games. You know how great was that during the Washington game? Just seem steam roll. Hmmm, nice seeing that again. Man. I see in Fletch just banging the whole game. Love it. Yeah, keep it loose, keeping those guys hungry. Always, always, I can get my steam mask. Yeah, you guys got the steamsk? I have one, not not the eagles one. When I have I know outside the complex put a stea mask on his dog mask and tried to wear that, but I think he's at the pound right now. I don't know. Chah, that must I got how not real quick. I wouldn't suggest that. Just sound like be tough to breathe in that thing. That too. All right. Well, Tim, thanks again. Let's hope you're in there feeding some hungry boys again next week. Get ready to go to New Orleans. I'm going to see we got on the menu for this week. Maybe some Gumbo, some Poe Boys? Keep an eye off. Last time I did the Poe boys didn't work out too well for us. So we're going to try to stick with some a little bit more streamline. I'm thinking of just rocking it at two fair John Alie, having fully decided yet, but it's definitely going to be some sea food and and Doie sausage involved, so I will keep you posting. Thanks all I can. Thanks you for some time. Take care of we talking me soon. No problem, guys, I miss you. I'll see you in the studio, hopefully soon. All right, sounds good. Thanks to go birds, go birds. All right, let's get let's get back to the matchups and the football break down here. We're going to do that. The confidence meter by position. Yeah, what's team you have more confidence in? I'm just going to go around the room. We'll get we'll give each guy position. All right, you want to start? We let the old states and start. But the older states can start as before the diary, as you for beauty. All right, quarterback position. Who has the better quarter who do you have most confidence in the quarterback position most? Certainly have the most confidence in nick falls. He's he's been through the fire and you know he's he's been able to kind of repeat what he did last year towards at the end of the season this year. started out the season a little little slow, but I certainly picked it up, you know, when when Carson went back down with the injury. Certainly picked it up at the end of the season. Savage the season. Confidence level is very high in nick folds and I think he's got it all over your biscay holds over Mitchie. Hmmm, DJ The runnaback position. That's definitely the bears. I think they're one two combo of Cohen and Howard. It can be deadly if you can't contain those two, and I mean with our running back situation it's a lot of times it's inconsistent, you know. I mean they break off some big runs that help us and to keep drives going, but a lot of times it's just two or three yards every run and I think the bears when that advantage. You think Spro sproles and counting are like the same player. Yeah, I think that Co and was a younger. Yeah, I think probably I would definitely take Cohen. I think he's more he's just younger and he has more loosomeness, I think, than sprowls does. They can do more out of the backfield. All right, Jay, I was going to go defensive. You want to go defense. Efensive line, defensive line. I got I just had one point because I didn't know the wide receivers for the bears too much too well, but I just wanted to say I think the key to the game that we were going to mention earlier with the mixed Biscay stuff, is that just getting pressure on him and making him feel uncomfortable all day. He's still a young quarterback. Has An experienced the playoff atmosphere, the intense and the anxiety. Get Him tent and at you know, have the anxiety day and just have our big guys just running after making a miserable day, and I think that's what the key is. I think it's going to be a low scoring game and I think it's just going to come down to a couple field bills, like you know, something like that, and I just the defensive line. I think it's going to be key for us to just pressure him and folds, I think, can fight through the adversity against their defense. And so I was that's my whole train of thought today. I like, I think the experience is what I'm leading to. The they're just not they're a good team, but hopefully they're just not ready yet. Sorry mess up your order now that I got an interesting one here, but if you have a position that you prefer, let me know. I was I guess I'll probably piggyback off the defensive line as well, just because I think getting Fletcher in there, I mean because you're biscuit like he, he can make mistakes. If he gets you've gotten a pressure on him, he'll throw a bad ball and you'll get that turnover. So I think that defensive line bearing down one is going to be a big factor and shutting down their offense. What...

...do you want your Defensive Guy Too? You want to just yeah, it's comes down to it's going to be Cleo Mau versus Lane Johnson, and lane always steps up against big time rushers, edge rushers, outside linebackers, doesn't matter what they are. So that's going to be big. The one I was really going to go with was how Sean Jeffrey, not necessarily particular their match up on any quarterback, but because the advantage we do have with him is he knows how awful that field is. He knows what spikes to wear, so he's going to be crucial for the rest of the players at least preparing for the right footwear, which is huge. I mean the reason we remember shady so well in that snowbowl was because he found the right pair of cleats. That's why I was able to rush for two hundred yards in that game. So I really think Alshon is going to come up huge for this game overall, for really the whole team, because he knows how awful that field is. That's probably one of the worst fields in the NFL, maybe outside of Fedex field. It's an awful off of field. That's why we had that conversation about why do hate grass fields, and this is the reason, because that turf is not well kept and it's horrible. So I think Alshon Jeffrey is probably going to be the biggest key to the game, that only just with his actual playing but just his influence on the other players. So I think he's going to be here. I think what father was saying there, he would take our grounds crew over the that there's grap but that the intangibles are field sucking. To mean it's not much better, but it's better than there's. Well, they got two football teams to play there. Just make it universally turf fields and will be fine that we don't have to deal with this nonsense and a playoff game. On Your Khalil Mac Point. They move him around. He's not going to be straight up on Lane Johnson the entire game? I don't know, but they move him around. So he's going to be everyone. What is La Johnson? Protect the right side? Yeah, yeah, that's where he rushes most of the time. Okay, but that on the moving none out. They move right. What is the most who's gonna be matched up? Yes, again, he's going to be lame. That's wise. And No, I don't know. I know they move them around, which it actually can be never racking because they might write, you know, knowing. Is it Jason Peters left bice up? That's hurt. I don't think it matters. It's not going to finish the game. Yeah, yeah, but we care. Well, if he does say it, I mean if it's his outside, that's going to be a huge issue, obviously. I mean I know everybody's just basically vities on speed dial to come in, and I'm far will. If I'm the bears, I'm putting them over on Peter Side. Yeah, I'm keeping them away from Lane John's. But again it all come comes down to do they want to do what they want to do or they go in off right. We true, sure you never that's what makes but you never know what the strategy is. Only they know. Inside the building. Somebody else was watching film with them right the only they know what they're going to do. So Peter's had a back spasms last that was just lastly, there's backmad and I think you're a lot of that coaches. A lot of times coaches talk about rushing right at it defender. That's that's overly aggressive. Just to kind of neutralize that that aggression, they've rushed right to him. So look for that tomorrow. Also, you know, going right at Kalio, Matt Mac with his over pursuit, and that's what that's where folds game comes in. When here he comes, dump the quick the sproles opposite direction. I think it's going to be big, Parson, mean as much as another once I will give fulls that amount of credit. He can get rid of he can get rid of the ball really well. I don't know if it's because of the influence and now nobody wants to hear his name of Chip Kelly helping him get rid of the ball, because that was that carries the cross for chip Kelly, like I do. I know, but that was a huge problem with him coming out of college and his first couple years. Is he would hold on the ball room with the scenes game. Yep, when he held he just kept back being wouldn't get rid of the ball. Well, he eventually learned, well, if I don't get rid of the ball, I'm not going to have a very long career. So I mean once the still learned that by now, that you cannot hold on to the ball. Yeah, I agree. I think folds is very much this is this is the timing I need to hit. This is where my receiver, my running back, is supposed to be. I'm throwing the ball there on a two and a half step and if they're not there, I think the last not my fault. The last two weeks he's been sacked, but once. Yeah, yeah, they've been really amazing, but that's the thing that scares me the most is, you know, one shot to those ribs and Mac or travthan any of those guys and we could be looking at Sudfeld to finish out this game. That's what scares me the most. So you have to contain Mac at every snap. It'll be interesting to see if Carson is active this week. He hasn't practiced all week, so I he would practice whole off see I think, and I heard my mind. Will Carson even dress? But I don't think he draws. No, now, I don't think that does. And Yeah, I don't think they all learned a lesson after the last time. They brought back to early Oh man playoffs. I just never resolute. Stop. He's seen his last he's seen his last snap for the season, unfortunately. All right, all right, so sound like the out line conversation. That a little bit and I'm going to take out of it. We like the ease a line over. The bears are line receivers. I think our receivers...

...are better than the bears. You she was I absolutely enough to say that like Robinson's he's a receiver. But after that, like Jason was saying, he didn't really know much about it because there's not really much to know about them because they're not real they're not very good. Yeah, I mean it's just Robinson and Trey Burton, really right, and we know what Trey Burton's tendencies are. So maybe they shut that down a little bit. And I just think the biggest key is just, you know, playing the game and just letting the bears wear themselves out on defense. Hope. Yeah, that's what you're hoping for it. I'm bring the defense and then towards the set and like late in the second, third fourth, they're get wearing down and you're just you're getting a couple here and you're just hoping Mitch has a terrible day, which I'm praying for. HMM. There's long drives will be very crucial. Then they've done at the last three games the secondary. I think we give the nod to the bears. So absolutely, yeah, although I mean I'll say it again, I vant a maddox is just eight. What a blessed yeah, guys, he has been. I mean when he went step for step the Audrey Hopkins, I mean that was unbelievable. When he really could mean that, if you look back that game, they really could have been torched. I know they did give up some points at the end of the game, but if you would have you know, if you thought about what we had in the secondary versus the saints and where they are now. It's UNBLO unbelievable. It's probably a silver lining with all like the secondary being kind of decimated there as the reactor, turning out to have kind of have some prospects. Like all this guys are really kind of stepped up and they're gay's really improves. Oh, you know, the future there. It's not so much it's going to be as like nerve racking, you know, having someone go down, because you know these guys have, you know, improve their game a lot and they'll be able to kind of step up to the plate. With that. We're going to say we thought we were going to be talking about Cydney Jones this year. Yeah, and almost forgot he was on the team. It's amazing plays this week. He didn't practice this week either. Think there was a port saying he was his play or do he's out? Yeah, he's out. Go figure. How impressive is Malcolm in the season? He's played every single snap, every single defensive SNAPP. He's laid yep, he's and he didn't get all cryed. It's all those smoothies he had under chip Kelly. I'm just kidding this. Yeah, he's he's one guid it's laid it all on the field. He's he's left nothing the question when it comes to his play. He's really what is he thirty? Is He over thirty? Absolutely, he's got to be like a small deer in the league, isn't it? Yeah, I want to say he's thirty one, or maybe I don't think he's thirty two. But I mean he's really stepped up his game, if that was possible. From the last couple of years he's really been you know, everybody went down around him, all the other starters went down around him, and he just I mean there was about a month where the backfield was just atrocious. Got offul to watch. Couldn't cover, you know, ninety year old people if they were out there, but covered DJ. Couldn't cover DJ. I'm I got a quick feed. Yeah, that a quick first step. So I think that saints be down could have also been another blessing in disguise, because that just let a fire. Yeah, you under head. I mean yeah, Shopton into him. He was able to keep it all together. He went the shorts at halftime. That one get. What was that game? What game was that where he went and said we got it we gotta. He's up on the coverages. Isn't that? They can caroline game. Now it was a game. I thought it was a game we won. I thought it was a Carolina game. When Carolina started making that comeback. They showed him on the sideline. I thought, well, he went the shorts and he said, though, we got to dull me down the coverages because these guys just aren't doing it. You know, the brain new they're off the street. Literally. Yeah, and you know to have the wherewith all to go to a coach and suggest that your leader of the team. Right, right, I should be able to do that. Yeah, yeah, I a lot of credit for for the way this season has turned out so far, with with with Malcolm Jack, not even maddocks. I think we're SOTIL Douglass has stepped up in a big way this year too, making big plays, especially tackling, which the Backfield, defensive backfields, struggled with. and He after that cowboys game at last play. Yeah, you just feel saw how crusted it was and you hope it didn't get them. When does it look like it did and like he realized that was a flukey bounce. Oh yeah, it could have happened. Anybody's horrible. We look back. Was a horrific throw by Dak. It was. If it should have been picked up. Yeah, it should have been picked off. My last two spots for the confidence here, and then we'll see where we're at. Kickers. Who wants to take the kickers? I taking his all. It's on a fuel goal or an extra point. I have. IS HE gonna kick? Yeah, seventeen, sixty, our field goals. I'm confident anything. Anything that has the words, any number that has thirty in it, I'm I don't want to think the wind. If it's windy tomorrow, that of course, is going to have a big play in the kick. The bears kicker is parky toady. Let's why I got nervous. They're saying it's going to be unseasonably mild. Martin, that's but the rescipe for the thing with Jake. We criticize them with all these chips. These should be chip shots. He is clutched. Ooh, he is. He's absolutely clutch, clutch, clutch.

On Sixty yarders. He was actually because he should bet these thirty to forty yards hit, he's still one to win. He hit the giants one to win. Jake's gone. Jake's gone at the end of the sea. All right, we have our next really. Yeah, I'm saying Jake's gone to the season. Our next guest on the line here is that the one fence de Damas it is indeed Moore's happy fifty episode. Thank you, David. Thanks for giving us some time today. David is one of the original founding members for the sand of food boot first podcast. Here he's now doing. Remember. Proud members, proud alumni. He's also the one of the cohosts of the fifth quarter podcast, sixers PODCAST, for any who turns out there. So what's going on day? We're talking birds bears. David's also a season ticket holder, so I know you're you're all in. What do your thoughts for getting this week fired so short. I was wearing my Walter Payton Jersey last week and hope that the bears could graciously let us into the playoffs, and now I have it sitting in my in my in my dogs little too toy area, because those bears, they need to go. Like we were thankful that they let us in the playoffs, but they already overstayed. They're welcome and it's time to go and Sodia field and make some stuff happen. Dave, what are you doing? What a water pip? I respected and loved Water Peyton. He was a great player, one of my favorites. But Dude, what are you doing? What is WHAT AN OPPOSITION JERSEY? I got it. I got it from my bar Mitso way back when I was thirteen. I got a bunch of teeth jerseys from China and last so. So I'm rolling with it. So you got the doll house. I don't know. I don't like the sounds of at. You got a Jersey for your bar mints from another team. What's up with that? Well, I got Eagle Jersey. I got plenty of those times, Fake Jersey China. My acts are real and authentic. There you go. I just want to see a tap. Dan's a little day. That's all he's giving you to give you some exactly. Know, I'm cool. I'm cool under pressure, right, that's what the San of Bood guys taught me. That's right. So, if there's a player guy, yeah, Dave, guy, Dave. Wait. Well, if there's a player on the bird side that you eat, think is either going to have a big play or maybe cost us a big play. Who you looking at? Who you have your eye on the morning? It's gonna, it's gonna, it's gonna. It's all going to happen at this at the defensive line. So when you look at that, you think of Oh, that's her cock first long those are the guys that you want to see step up, because those guys on the defensive line are going to be the key for us. It's entire playoff you get. I'm talking about the running back. He, if he has a good game, is if the bears get a good run game, going to eagles, maybe in trouble. But I don't think it's going to be as drastic as I'm making it sound. And Eagle just got to tackle line of scrimmage with with heart, with intensity, like they've done the past five weeks or five weeks. So they just gotta Tack Line of Scrimmage and make stuff happen from there and time great turnovers. I think Timmy journey can come it back, even if he's not really huge. It's even. Yeah, it is, because if nothing else, would a rotation give those guys a little breast here are you know, I don't know how productive he's been since he's been back, but I really like getting him back in the rotation to give those guys a breather here in there for negative game plan. Right, right, you know what I mean. HMM, just another it's it's another thing to get his head scrapped. We need to come at them with all angles, shapes and sizes. So I'M gonna get I want to get your prediction. Then I got one more one more question for you, and I think we'd set you off. Get get your hot bottom. I'm currently at work right now, so I don't think my stations too happy if I, if I had a dead air about. But all right, what's your prediction? Pretty game. Who You got? Okay, bold is going to throw two touchdowns, Malcolm Jenkins is going to come up with an interception and I think the over unders that forty one and the games going to go under forty one points and I'll give a final score of Eagles Twenty seven bears. Do the math right? Bear Sixteen, is that right? That's good math. Right,...

...you look at that. The line is six and a half. Is that you're trying to cover there are you look at it. The under I'm trying. I'm trying to go to the under yeah, all right. So then here's my question for you. Sixteen, Temple, Temple Um. What's your thoughts on on an education? But what's your thoughts on that? Wu? No jumping in there and then jumping out. Oh, I think it's hilarious. I think it's Classic Temple. You know, most coach usually stay and leave after two or three years, but after three days that's essentially the same thing. I didn't realize that he was Miami's defensive coordinator. At first I thought Temple's defensive coordinator and got the promotion, which I thought was absolutely hilarious. But then when I dial it back you look at the facts, it kind of makes sense, considering he probably wanted the Miami job more than the temple job anyway. Yeah, so, you know, you just got to be happy for the guy. You know he made the right decision and hopefully temple will get a coach that stays for a couple of years before it gets a better job. So what you're getting soft they're shails the really man. You gotta be happy for the Guy. Can when he just burn yourself Cherry and white at listen listen. I as much as I want to bear the guy and how much of like, you know, lack of faith in in new temple job. You Know Temple. They got good players. They've could players all the time. But reality is sometimes you have to style back and look at reality. That's why all my predictions are always right. But when you dial back and look at reality to well, coaches don't stay forever. They just don't like. Look at tough Collins. As soon as he sees Georgia Tech Job, boob takes the right bowl game, matt rules. Same thing with Baylor. It's just going to keep happening and until temple get the stadium, until, I guess, Madium, hold your breath on the coach forever. All Right, thanks day for some time. Key working hard is little. He is here. He's here. What's up, Dave? Oh, it's good. You know, I'm just living the life college or yeah, of course, of course. Awesome Dad's in the room, so he can't say too much. You guys all next week about the saints Gape. I hope so. I hope so. All right, take care, get back to work. All right, thank that. See Dave. Well. He North Broad Street, South Beach. More money, less money. Yeah, it wasn't. I don't blame me if he doesn't want to trash Manny Diaz. I do on facebook. What he did was disgraceful and I'm sure Dick Martin's critique of him will probably that all just to come. I'll say a worry said. I'm real bad set the NCAAS where's less miles at now? He could be still retired. Temple should call him bruce. Hired Bucharians is still looking for a job herpet. He go back hers. Done that right? I thought Bruce was dumb with football. I thought he just wanted to retire. But yeah, his health came in. He would come back and coach. Did he see the browns? I made a comment that there's one TV. We come back and coach. I know what's Helen's was an issue when he was still Arizona. What you get? That's for left head, for being a coach in the NFL. Let of them being a head coach. It's got to be hard to give that up forever. Sure it really is. He wants to coach and bog bites you. Thanks. Sure. And speaking of coaches and coaches, movie we had black Monday right, all these coaches that were cut. So we lost Adam gase. All there. Look at all these names that when the eagles were looking to hire a coach and everybody, myself included, Poopoo the idea of done Peterson coming. He's only coming in because he's a lory. Guys, and Andy Reid, Guy, guys got no experience. Why are they bring them in? And I'll just Kelly. All these coaches, gates, folds, Baines, Jose, if he was, he wasn't in the dog thing, but too long term coaches. More of Lewis. Finally got that. Dude has been on borrowed time. That's not ever. Hugh Jackson, he was before black Monday. Wilkes cotter. Mike McCarthy went earlier thanks to Aaron Rodgers, most over eight quarterback in the league. That's offseason tall. That's all seasons, all free coaches. I surprise you're still there at May. Still get the Chop Zimmer, Tom and Gruden the steelers. If gruden was very clear what it's not good anyway. Jay, Gruden, Jay. Okay, got a WHO's here? Is See a cousin of John No um. Yeah, makes up wasn't balls fired. Yeah, there's another guy to make it a temple right. He's I'm temple. So hey went to tapple. So if Jim Schwartz gets a head coaching job, I would love for them to bring bulls back, but probably never happen. Here's all the fall coaches. Here's a little fold of similar one out for them. Yeah, I've never been so happy to be so wrong. I remember when. I mean the eagles didn't even want doug he was their last choice. They want to get they wanted everybody but him. I think he probably narrowly got it overdue Staley. I think they probably flipped a coin. was and he had with them. We had cough one ready to saw that or someththing, and then he gets you thread out and walked out. Yeah, I'm just spend more times with the...

...grandkids. I think you remember when he came back to the link. You remember the nightmares of that place and he could raise them. But I remember sending out a tweet, or maybe it was a facebook sat as, saying I'm glad I said I saved it, because I'm so glad I said I said the eagles deserve everything. That's about to happen to them when the supports years. But I mean it's it really is unbelievable what has been able to do. All right, I want to take it, take a football break to talk a little more whiskey now. So we saw the commercial. Oh yeah, great, he got a new website up and running right. Yes, it a web slates up now. I did him. I just I ended up bearing down and just don't know myself putting up a simple sight and you know is in dedication to a friend of mine that passed on at an early age, and Michael Malice. You know, it's and I'm going to put up a little section for him for his memory. So he was supposed to do it and help me out and that. So now it's up and there's some dedications on there and a lot of fun stuff. Happy Birthday Song. That's in my family. That's pretty coold of saying around, you know, we see, my kids know it, you know, and so it's a lot of good things going on right now. You know, it's just trying to figure out what two thousand and nineteen holds for the whiskey and where I'm going to go and we're going to sell it and the navy. Next coms going to buy it and stuff like that. So just some potential. It's just you know, can always be better, you know, but it's just taking a day by day. You know, we are still working on the the movie. It's a movie still being worked on yet it's kind of that's kind of been on hold because if the there was a commercial, and then the website and there's a couple things and it's like you got all these race horses that you want to run have run down the track, but you can only feed one at a time and it's, you know, just trying to figure out you know this and that next next thing's up to St Patrick's say, parade. So I have this crazy idea that I'm going to be trying to put together, Ye like about let sixty five days and seven something like crazy. It's like the parade this year is March ten in Philadelphia, and looking to do something pretty unique. That's going to set, I believe, the parade. You know, it'll, it'll there's a lot of entertainment. Will a lot of dancers and music and stuff. I want to do a little theatrical thing nice. I you associate with any particular a leach the I am not now. I used to be AH eighty seven back in high school and then I just anymore. Yeah, and I drifted part of that. I'm still friends with those guys and I root for them. They're actually opening up a new building SOTUON, so we'll do a dedication down the street. I have a crazy idea for them too. It's just like these these ideas I have. It scares me something times, but you know, you check it off the bucket list, you know, for the young guys, check it off the place. You got to do what you want to do in life and and the world and conquer your dreams alsly question. Sure I've stopped in jury. I WORK IN JERSEY. Yeah, I stopped at a couple places looking for rights. Yeah, can house and Roger Willco. Wasn't able to find it. where? where? I don't. You said somewhere along the line at you're in your you have places in Jersey. Where exactly? So we have a few stores that were in. Roger Walco Burlington is a good friend. They have it and that's what is that? That's not the one on seventy three. Is it now across the river or cleably that's up on one hundred and thirty. Okay, I haven't been there, but the AH members. So I present this whiskey and do a big speech about life whiskey, you know, being the best we can be in life, but also, you know, remembering our ancestors and and how we're alive. Is So, so crazy and unique that we're actually sitting at this table right now talking about sports and having fun and cracking jokes and having a little taste. It's it's a pretty unique thing when you think about how all these people have to meet thousands and thousands of years, going back in time to actually be alive. And you know, if you if you have life, you might as well make the most of it and do the best you can in life. And and that's what a lot of my speeches are. So these guys got me hooked up with the guy is actually aoh for in Jersey and he owns he's the owner Roger Wilco Burlington. So he brought it in. Some stores have brought it in. I'm actually getting a list soon of where it's all at and I'll be actively myself going over to Jersey and selling it, because you can't depend on anybody else but yourself. So you just got to get your suitcase and run down the street and go to every store. That would be other website. I'm sorry. You got the locations where it's available on the website. Soon. I'm going to upload that soon. Yeah, get into canals up in Princeton a room, because that's where I can als in Princeton one. That's where I work. Yeah, there's about them. So you're in there. Tell him you're looking for it, and I did. I did see it's Jersey's a very different animal. You know, as a salesperson there's two states I would I don't really like doing sales and and that's Washington State and that's New Jersey. It's just the way it works. It's different. They get rips and deals and so it's like a it's a different it operates differently, you know, let's put it that way. You know, I think we can go from that sales conversation with rips and deals to father cover, maybe stop favorite medical device. We got our brain...

...avalon. Bri Ab, Brian Flannery, Flan you there, boys, I'm here, and you making me thirsty here, and you talk about that post your boys, let's go flares. We were hoping he'd come and you bring the end scollop that we all we'd all work on our adact to her in the show. Well, you know, that's a little preemptive damage to you know, the drinking and carrying on that's going to go on the morrow. But you know, and deep we we do have a butt at protocol for yourself. You want that ass tighter. Yeah, what was it for? Prank pain free sessions to get an apple shaped ass? And two weeks? All Right, I'm going to need to distort as a defibrillator, because that's what I need now. Bring it into studio next week. Get the girls a champagne. Will get a little wat off. Whiskey too. Oh yeah, yeah, that's a bottle can't paint. We could have the whisky roof. Yes, have the whiskey. That's a beautiful sediment you're sharing about the whiskey. I Love I love the night Irish whiskey that POPs this move and it's an awesome thing to share. You know, whether it's a family gathering, sometimes a week. But you know what Irish coast is unlike any other. So awesome, awesome stuff. Absolutely. Thank you, but listen, guys, let's transition a little bit. Yeah, well, how what's the pulse? I've been coaching basketball all morning. So what's the pulse in the room? What are we thinking? I'm feeling some positive vibes. Yeah, I think we're confident. Oh yeah, we had chef tim on. He doesn't like to give predictions, but Father Kamara put him on the spot. He's got the one Thousan one hundred and twenty one eagles win. We had Finster Domason David. He called in. He won with twenty seven sixteen birds. So we're waiting for you, the guys in the room. We haven't given our prediction. Jet Butt going around and I think we have a certain tilt. So what do you got? What are you looking at? At the game or fine, I think the eagles are walking into a sniper pit. They're at soldier field. That's a tough place to play, but they're also playing with such a an air of confidence. You know that the heart of the champion is that you've got nick foles rolls and that offense firing on all cylinders. You've got Timmy Journey and tearing it up. I don't think the eagles can be stopped. I think this team is dangerous right now. I think they're going to give the bears a lot of trouble offensively, particularly with that Rpo, particularly with sprawls and running the two tight end sets. I like the Eagles and I don't think it's close. I like the Eagles Twenty eight to ten. That's as close to a blow that was going to get. It. It's the bear right and I don't see the bears putting up significant points. I think Mitravinsky's going to play like a first year, first time quarterback in the playoffs. Yeah, I agree with you that. I think that that's where we're going to have to look at the experience of this the guys, the bears. The last four games they've have been scoring under twenty points and with folds at the wheel, we've been at twenty seven points and that was our magic number last year. Twenty seven points is we scored that and we will. I mean, he was right about the rams game, so we can't really fall you know, we know, we know where friends had his when friends calling for Super Bowl, I did I don't know if you I called Super Bowl win, but you said Super Bowl. I think. I think it's possible and I think get a thank you in mind. I don't know what happened. The good dog is back, bad doug is gone. I think you'll have something up his sleeve tomorrow as well. A little philly special. Well, well, Burton's out there. Everybody in their mother's run in the first the deep dish bomb. All right, so you got you got the birds. Is there any any particular a ten? HMM, any particular player audio the side of the ball that you can have an eye on? All Sean Jeffrey show. It's homecoming. Father's a point to call them out this week and he only went to work in Chicago. You gotta believe he's going to be hyped on. And what? And what the big piece of the action. And since went went down, bolds has been using him a lot more. I think he has a big game tomorrow. All Right, I'm going to get we we're running out of time here and I still got to get all the predictions from the guys in the room, but I got one more game. I want you to give us. SEATTLE DALLAS. I think Dallas goes home early. Nice, Nice Seattle. Bust the Wilson I used to experience squad a cowboys team to eat into the playoffs. I think seahawks are dangerous and they're playing with a head of confidence right now as well. HMM, all right, I agreat. I Fla and thank you for checking in. It's just a fifty episode. Thanks for being a part of the show and hopefully we're all in here next week talking about the saint. That was good. We'll toast it with some pot macame yes, you will absolutely chairs hi flat. All right, it's time...

...boys. Where y'all who want to get her piction first? Go elsewhere, go ell square. Oh God, I think it's going to be a low scoring game. It's going to be, just check the weather. Thirty eight degrees, thirteen miles an hour. Wins, and I think it's just going to be like seventeen real tight, seventeen thirteen game with eagles squeaking it out and stealing another one out of Chicago and you know, with their scheme, mass jumping on that plane and getting getting the cargo out of here. You know, DJ looks like you. All right, I I personally think this game. It reminds me a lot of the Minnesota game last year, the NFC championship game. A good defense, what an average quarterback, and I really think the eagles control the tempo of the game with the long drives that they've been having. I think folds plays his best when he's getting rocked around, which he will be getting rocked around tomorrow. Be throwing deep bombs all day to Alshon and Nelson and maybe if Mike Wallace is back. I don't know if he's playing, maybe we see him a little bit. And I think the Eagles Win Twenty three seven. I think they get three turnovers. Seven here here here on their three seven. I think they get three turnovers. Good field position, contain in Khalil Mac. I think they walk out of their easy. All right, Luke, you will go next. What do you got? Yeah, I also I'm thinking probably a little close part of like a like a two four hundred and twenty one Egles, not of our fifty show. I'll go twenty seven to twenty three birds. That you're gonna say fifty dollars. That's what you thought. This is what you got right. There's the let go. Yeah, I'M gonna go so down there, Joe, or we go from the oldest in the room, like it probably the most hantsome in the room, to problem finishes me flopped. Thank you. Thank you, Jim. I think it's gonna be a close game. I was talking people marquess. I think it's really had nineteen thirteen. So we're going to be sweating it out. The bears are going to be marching chance to get down there at score, but I think it's going to be maybe will go with the Vonte Maddox pick to end the game. Your Bitsky's trying to air it out. Taylor, Gabriel Maddis gets in front of a picks it off. Game over. So I'm going nineteen, which I think one thousand nine hundred thirteen. What is that? Two s extra points by Elliott. That's all, like all field say. Yeah, I think it's going to be a low scoring game. Also, I like the weather prediction. Thirty eight thirteen the Greek or thirteen mile a hour wins. I don't know. Precipitation, the rain, no snow, SEM and I think that'll maybe affect the ground and all that, you know, kind of stuff that you're aclud in too with the you know, right, right with the turf and STURF and yeah, so I think that plays well into our into our game, playing with the lack of wind, hopefully the kitten game also, because it can be tricky out there in that field, especially right on the lake. So I'm looking looking at the Eagle, Eagles to control that line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, looking to get after tribiscy a couple times, get them dirtied up, keeping folds clean and again I'll shawn having a big game. I want to go seventeen, ten birds, all right, and before we go to the youngest and most handsome, I forgot tealor behind the glass there. Tk What's a prediction for the game? It's going to be very low scoring and an eagles win three nothing can know to maybe not that low. That collectoral hit that one field goal and the eagles are now a seven point hundred dog. Yeah, went up a point today. Love it, all right. Now it's your time to shine. Who's going to win the more? Who Do we think's going to win the big game? No more the evil. Yeah, about any job. God, it echoes, all right, awesome, all right, and it is playoff time. So you know, we did last year during the playoffs. We need to do it again this year for the car mine. We need the blessing for the carmine, as that what he needed. We need the blessing come on his playoffs. This for meets an exorcism before that. We'll take what we can get. All right, all right, we'll do a very simple one. All right, the Lord be with you, also, with you with your yeah, are, with your Gah. We can tell who goes to Massa, doesn't we? Almighty God, bless you, the father and the son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Hey Man, go birds. So Birds. All Right, gentlemen, thanks for filling the room on our fifte episode here. It's great fun. We talked football, talked...

...whiskey, we talked food linked it. We do best at all the basics. You best all the good things in life. So let's go birds. Hopefully we will be talking saints next week. EAGES. Nobody likes us. We don't care all that good stuff. Let's go birds. Thank you. Check this out,.
