Hello again, football fans, thank you for tuning into another episode of the set of food first podcast. Bruck, you live from wildfire radio. This is what are your cohost, Jim Marc. Has Been A while since we've been on the air. I got in the room up. Let me. Let me say too, we are powered by POPs, as always, POPs McCain's fine Irish, which always that voice you here is the magnificent Dick Martin. Dick, I've been downgraded to exceptional today. Oh Yeah, not, not magnificent. Yes, WHO's down? Good? You Down Grading Yourself? I'm downgrading myself. Yes, all right, as I explained on the way over this and we're hours worked and sleep over the last two days. So I'll work, no play. Excuse my old boy, my lack to it, attention to detail, what not today. What was your excuses for the last what? So fifty eight, something like that. And also we have an old friend, the youngest in the room, but we'll still call them an old friend, back with us, Father Morequivart. How are you? Father Claire? Loving Life Right now, vacation for the first time and almost nine months. So it's a joyous day, joy and joy. It very severe, very a very peace very calm and now we'll have to ruin that by talking about the police legal first day summer ocase she did, and we got behind the glass as all these producer of the stars tk down or it's going on? It's there. Is there football going on? I know why you guys are here. Yeah, it's it's been a been a bit of a break for us. There's some things that have happened in the football world we're talk about, but they are back on a break. I think it's like radio silence at the NFL for the next three weeks at least. You know, there's no no mini camps left. It's right to training crank camp in a few weeks. But we have some things to talk about. We'll talk a little bit about your sixers. Get your impression on that. Some things happen that wonderful draft. Yeah, well, actually, a lot of things have happened since, since we've been in here. Yeah, a lot of things have happened. We've got some pinstripes and they're still doing great. Right, Harper, who who parents? fraid it's been a while since we were in here, but still keeping on hot street, going, I believe I don't really follow them all that closely. Last night wasn't great. Now it was just chase utlee retirement. We could not be great about that. Losing. Ow Did you lose here? He retired. He's not playing anymore. Yeah, exactly. The Silver Fox won't come back. It was one more year. He does look great. He keeps himself together. Yeah, you know, I think it's at La in them. You know, it's he gets back out there. He was originally a callie boy, right, yeahs O coal, that La and him. And then there's the guys that wear the orange sweaters. They had some activity, but I don't know if anybody who is ready to speak on that. Aren't sweaters. Yes, there's crazy people wearing sweaters right now. It right, the first day summer. Organization makes you wear a sweater. You wear a sweater and you enjoy it. All right. So let's get into football before we just completely derail. Carson Wentz. First topic on the agenda that I'd like to discuss the Carson wentz extension. I know, I can't recall Dec if it was you or DJ was the bigger fulls Fan. I think it was DJ. Yeah, I think what every time we talked about trade wins, he'd get a little fired up about it. MM. There were still people in the contract extension came through, like even though falls wasn't here anymore. They don't like it because it Carson's injury history. I love it. He's our quarterback in the future. You're going to ride with them. You got to put the injuries stuff aside and assume that he's going to be healthy. Sure, it's it's it's a gamble on both sides. Carson's gambling that he's going to stay healthy.

You know it, but he wants the money now, so he went ahead and signed. The team is gambling that he will stay healthy and if he was to stay healthy, they would have to pay him a lot more money when a contract comes up. Now what they're doing now they're not paying them as much. They're paying them a lot of guaranteed money. Yeah, but the contract isn't his worth as much as say, we'll be for Prescott or jared Goff when they come up, and I like the fact that they jumped early because they're going to push the price off those two players and I'm glad that the eagles were able to force those two teams to have to do that make them spend more money at that position there for they're a little less on the other positions. Hopefully it weakens both teams in the future. But I really liked the contract that they did. I thought it was a fair contract for both sides. And you know Carson is, you know he he wanted that money in case he doesn't stay healthy. So I thought it was a good deal on both ends. Anything. You're up there, Padre. Yeah, I'm happy with it all around. I think it's going to be such a good year for him. I mean he really isn't going to have the distractions that he had last year. I think sometimes we lose sight of the fact of what he had to go through last year, me coming into a super bowl that he was a part of but not fully a part of, having, you know, Nick Fools in the background, I don't think bothering them that much, but you could say you could see how much he was trying to put the entire team on his back when he really didn't need to. Need literally hurt his back by doing that. So I think it's he's just going to have a monster year. He he looks happy and just everything I'm reading or filing with camp. They say he looks incredible. So I think, especially the upgrades that they they have at the school positions. I I really think this. He's going to win the MVP this year. I really do. As long as he plays within his own game, I think will be fine. Yeah, and I don't think you're out on a women saying that. In ve gets right now the favorite to win is Mahomes, which I don't see that happening again. I get it, not with those giants and a tradition brow fifty touchdowns again. But yeah, he's lost some players from team players. He might still throw in the s. He seems like he's going to be a good quarterback, sure, but then Carson's right behind him. Carson's tied with Brady and, I think Philip rivers at one for the MVPI. Philip rivers, yeah, Yep. Has He ever won an MVP? No, no, not. Always has really good number, does. He's got good fantasy numbers, but his team always lets him down, you know, and he he contributes to that sometimes. Wow, and that guy, he's been playing fifteen years. About about that? Oh, he's same draft as Eli right, so maybe thirteen. Okay, I didn't know he was the same draft as Eli Zoo for rights deal for draft. Okay, you're right, Donovan. was that the I can't believe he they still think that highly of them that they're willing to make him. What was it? Third? Fourth, fourth, in the air, tied for second, tied for second. Yeah, and the and the odds for odds for MVP. Wow. Yeah. Well, I I can't wait for this season. The start. I ever since getting getting Carson healthy the draft, that they had lots of peak. I was going to say legatory comments about your I don't know if you listen to that podcast, but they got a few pen staked another twenty hunt two point though I got, and I'm and you know, with djack coming back, I'm just I am so excited for the season. I think they are going to throw up crazy numbers. I'm a little concerned about defense, not not a lot, but I'm a little...

...concerned about defense. But I think the offense is just going to be so much fun to watch out on the field. And you know, a Carson. Look, you said father of Carson being healthy. Hope he should be coming back a hundred percent from the knee injury. You know, we're two years removed from that now in the back apparently has been corrected. I'm so I'm chomping at the bit for the season. It was a record breaking contract for now. HMM. Right, like you said, they'se. They got these other guys in line and golf serves the same agent as Winston. I don't think golf has the team book. Of his numbers aren't as good as Carson's. No, he had a nice season last year, he did, but I don't think they're that far off at somebody's going to get the next record breaking contract, m carsons down the line. We're going to look at that and say this is this is a deal right now, like almost like when they signed harper. Yeah, it looks like a lot of money, but you were forecast to three years and of Carson is back in MVP status. We're gonna look at this and go all right, it's her being. He might born Malcolm Jenkins territory. Maybe he's a like another topic where he's like, look, I don't want to be the highest paid, but I feel like I've outplayed my contract right. What are your thoughts on that? I was fine with Malcolm skipping their voluntary right, their voluntary OTIA's. Fletcher did it last season. It's is what it is. He's been playing with. He's fourteen year veteran who around out or maybe ten man who MONC? Not Fourteen, not ten. He hasn't missed a game with the eagles. Had happened the game since he's played here. For him to take a seat at an Ota off, I have no problem with. And if that's his way of sending a message that HMM, I want you guys to look at my contract. And then he came back for the mini camp. Right, he didn't practice, but he came back. He was there in a building show the young guys. Look, I'm a team, I'm a leader. MMM, I'm here and not be practicing, but I don't expect that. I I don't really care what the veterans if they do or not. Yeah, I'm not so concerned about him picking up the system or being his shape, you know, to attend the OTA's. It's more the leadership thing that I think is taking a hit by him not being there. But he is back, so that's all well and good. I'm I call me old school, but don't say I was waiting for one of you, many more. Jackson, play Bob, excuse me. When you sign a contract, you need to honor that contract. You know, you're the one that decided at the time. Hey, this is a good deal for me. I'm going to go ahead and sign the deal, honor the contract and play through it, play it out and and then, you know, do what you're supposed to do and then see what comes up next. And if you perform well, if you quote unquote out player contract, then make sure it's included in your next contract. But don't hold out, or whatever you want to call it, and miss time. Not so much the Ot is OTA's punt. When it comes time for mini camp and in regular training camp, make sure you're there. He is, but he made a big stink about it, you know, make a bing stink about well, it's got that. He made a big the family wasn't about it. You're right. You're right that the fans and the media they made more of a stink about it than the team did. But I mean, you're being paid fairly well, we're million know when you're when you're ranked in the NFL among safeties. Where does he come in? is He top, top level. I don't think he's top top level. He's the next tier down and I think he's being paid accordingly. He's making just over eight mill a year, so I think he's being paid accordingly to where he falls out in the in the the order of safeties in the NFL. I'll take the other side of it and I'm a look,...

I work with contracause you remembers my career. It right. Yeah, I read these things right. They're black and what you follow. This is is what you've agreed to do. You know you got to do certain things to get out of them. But this is a different type of business, right, like these guys, this owner can turn around whatever and go, you know what, I just don't want to pay late million. You're out, you're done your cut. And he's getting towards the end of his career. He hasn't had any injury concerns, but maybe that's in his mind. Like look, I think I got two three good years left to me. Let's get this contract extended now and then I have some some security, some safety if I do get injured. He's not one of the top safeties. I wouldn't say top three to five, but he's definitely one of the tops in the league and he's looking at the guys that just signed in this offseason and somebody make money. They're Greath is eight or nine seas being paid. I don't know where he's ranked into payment. I know he's making. He's making about eight million this year. Yeah, so I don't have an issue with it. I didn't really have an issue with it with Fletcher, other than he was a younger guy at the time when he did it hit his reasoning was was wrong. Yeah, Dude, you got x amount of months to spend time with your family, please. Yeah, you know as as I as I like to say to my kids sometimes, Hey, if you want to live in this lap of luxury, it doesn't come free. I got to get out there and do stuff. Now, you're not going to support with them with their whole life. I thought that's how it works with kids. Now they know I mean, because sometimes they want to go do something and I have to go work my other JEM second job and I tell them, hey, you want to live in this lap of luxury here and Parkwood with you know he's you got to go out and earn it. You can't just it doesn't no tree in the backyard. Grown bunny, do you gotta go out of Arnet? I have you. Yes, yeah, kids, yes, because earned it for the because I'm the one that drives them to whatever is that they want to go to, or I buy whatever it is that they want to get. bunges. I'll just sponges and sucky misses. These kids can't really sorry. You mentioned the defense and you know the defense might be might need a little help, and they did make some minx moves in the offseason. I was down at I'm telling you guys, I took Brodie down to a pro day right and one of the players that was there was Millie Jackson and he is a big guy. I I'm excited to see him and Fletcher in the middle there and in mixing in Timmy Journegan. I think that defensive line is going to be pretty good this year, regardless of Chris long retiring hopefully Derek Barnett. We're going back in healthy. I'm feeling good about the defensive line. You look at our back field with the cornerbacks and somehow at the end of the season we ended up with some of the top quarter cornerbacks and Maddox and Le Blanc plate really well. Hopefully that carries over. But I was I'm excited to see Millie Jackson this year. He's you know, you get these big guys in, there's there's big, but you're there sloppy big. He was big and looks like he could put a hurting on some quarterbacks. So it should be fun losing barn now. I don't think we realize how big will blow that was. That just completely killed the rotation. Also, it would have been the second year he would have been taking the next step, so that's going to be a huge x factor if he can stay healthy, because I really do think he's a good defensi about it. Think he's going to be a all pro one day. He's got all the intangibles, has got all the actual tangible skills as well. It's just going to be a pleasure to watch them. And then with Malcolm Jenkins, I have no problem with it. I think what's going to happen usually what you see with these kinds of case, especially with the team leader like that. I think they'll go through training camp and as soon as the rosters set that he'll get his new contract. Yeah, I usually how it works out. I expect something to happen. It will folks deaden him to three years, maybe more, and knowing that, how that the way this front office works. I'm sure they've talked to him. Just said look, so you know, we'll work on something. So I mean that was kind of the problem with the Teo thing, not taking his side. But...

...you know, he mentioned he wanted to work as contract and was like right, you know, they made a huge red line or line in the sand and that's kind of why that fell apart. But we'll see. With Malcolm, that would be my prediction, like the week leading up to the first game, probably when he gets his new contract, which how he likes to do. He likes to do in the season contract. Yeah, let's just let's for time and I'll figure it out where it's very team friendly. Maybe there's a bunch of up front money to Malcolm and at the Carson deal it can to get back to that is really team friendly. And people were worried that's too much money, you're going to hinder the teams, kind of like what you were saying with Dad, like hopefully these teams put a lot of money in at our quarterbacks and hurt the other positions. But our core, so I saw this on twitter. Might have been Jimmy Kemski put it out there. The that's that we have signed over the next three seasons. On the offensive side, you still have arts Kelsey, which I feel like he's going to ride off in the sunset at some point, but you got lane Alshan djacks and Isaacs Amlik, so you got some decent core players that are real contributors right now for the next three years to play with caution. And then on the defensive side of the ball, we got Fletcher, Brandon Graham, Malik Jackson I just mentioned, and Nigel Bradham. So and with the draft they've got guys that they can move into these positions. Like are running back. I'm still questionable at not to from my pen stayed out there again, but I think sanders can be a contributor. You Got Jordan Howard for this year. If he doesn't work out, hopefully sanders is the guy that can step in. You still got corey coming back. Who knows if sprowles is actually still on their mind? That pops up every here, here and there that he hasn't signed at anybody. Maybe he's like a training camp. At the end of the training camp they look and see what they have and let's just bring them back, we could use this, and that's why they're not going to do it. Makes absolutely no sense of them to restructure his contract right now because they don't know what they have. Their roster by the end of training camp is going to look very different. Yeah, they don't know if they're gonna have to go out. If you know, if somebody got, for breakets injured. They don't know if they have to go out and sign somebody. So they have to take all that in consideration. So until training camp is over in the season starts, they can't rework as contract. There's no point. Yeah, sprowls is still on their contract. No, no, I didn't think so, but nobody picked them up. And you heard that he's kind of hanging around and yeah, while he give he does, I think it's without I mean it would either be with us at the saints that year. There's only yeah, please, because the only two places probably that would take him back and honestly, would know I get the best shout at winning the Super Bowl. I saw somewhere that he if he comes back this year. He wants to play for one of two teams that he's played for in his career, with throwing the chargers with that. Yeah, yeah, I think I get at those teams. Probably the the one who makes the most sense would be the saints. Yeah, really could see him go like doting Champaigne. He could definitely go back there. They just let Mark Ingram go. He likes to do the rotation with his backs. I could see that happening in there, letting Malcolm Jakomes go. That whole their whole offseason. That you're killed them. Yeah, and really did that? Yeah, because they didn't sign him. And then who they sign instead? Trying to dry, they get Jerry's Burg, Harrys Burger, that's right, yp well, that's rights. Ok, and but what is he done? Is he done anything? I don't even think he's in the league anymore. I don't think he is. No, he got hurt. He ended up getting hurt the year he saw mind with the saints. Yeah, and I don't think he did a whole lot after that when he came back and I remember Eagles twitter that day. They were just ripping that move. Yeah, would you? Yeah, you could have got brewed. Why'd you get jagging, which I mean can't blame the fins. We hadn't had any competent defensive back since Dawkins. At that point. We are like six straight years of just hobbling guys together is wile safeties. But to get back to your point about we ended up with some really solid corners at the end of the season and think back to when that moment happens. It was when Malcolm Jenkins, at Halftime, went to the coaching staff and said look, we got...

...it done. Be It down for these guys because they're just not picking it up in the base to complicated for him and you know the calls that were making. And from that point on it was a at a more than above competent backfield, defensive backfield. So you know, it's moments like that that that somebody like Malcolm Jenkins really steps up. And I agree. We we went that went from a weakness in our on our team, you know, for the better part of the year, to becoming a strength for our team. And you know, I you know we can expect things out of a defense of backfield. This year. The offense lost that game. It was not the defense. HMM. The offense gave them so many good positions and we just yeah, do it, yeah, yeah, or House God. And hopefully he's over. But now I don't want to bring it up and I don't want to tear the bad date offer open the we would again, but and I hope we offer them forgets about it. And I agree. I think miles saying there's I'm excited that he's on the team. I think he can be. I think he can be a real solid contributor. I think he fits in well with us. You can catch the ball. You know, he's a and and so I I've seen it somewhere. Heard some people talking he might have been the better running back in the in the draft. So I mean not to swell you up anymore. Let's stuck a little word, let's get prayed, noble on the line and we talk a little more pit state. He's excuse me, have to go paint my face. And Yeah, but I really I'm expecting things out of out of Miles Sam. Maybe not on the Barkley level, but I'm expecting things out of saying yeah, sure, I don't. I don't expect him to be. This eagels team is never going to get that running back that's going to be not a girly, you know, say quid. And we haven't drafted one since Wilbur's, you know, Forty Times a game. Yeah, well, maybe exaggerating, but yeah, they're not. We're going to be a committee. Maybe, maybe West brought I guess we drafted Westbrook. So yeah, I would say we haven't drafted one since Westbrook. I went back to Montgomery, but I'll say we haven't drafted one since Westbrook. And as far as a free agent, we haven't signed one since, you know, probably sprawls. We haven't drafted a good running backs, like a really significant contributor as a running back. Yeah, I would are they even worth drafting? Last long? And I think that's the NFL's position has to face. They don't last long. Yeah, and and it's become a passing league in the last five to ten years. So they're they're status that, you know, their importance, has drama so much out of somebody that's not a team right now. Yeah, what looks like like a like any run that? I'm sorry, Leshwan. Yeah, I was one too much hate in your blood. Firm, I guess not forgot about him. Yeah, it's amazing thing. We best he got. You can call. Yeah, I know, while he got shuffled up the Buffalo and out of sight, out of mind. Yeah, I guess since Leshan he's He's the last one we drafted and he wasn't drafted. Where was he drafted? Took around. Stick it back around. That was a good draft that here. Yeah, yeah, it was. We can. You're at a pit painters side that. Another thing that has occurred in the last couple of weeks with the eagles that had people a little up in arms was the whole training camp practice thing. HMM, and I wasn't a fan of the movie either. Just why? Like, I don't know. I honestly don't know, like what. It was a big Lee high. It was great. And not to go back and be old school like Dec and how things were so much better back in the old comin back yeah, we'd ride our horse up to practice and the horse has stepped on us. We have he's great. There's a lot of access in Lee high. Ere Mom's father, Erebus. I got something to say. Yeah, then they brought it down here, but they still had some accessibility to people. You'd have a couple of the night game, that they would do the exhibitions. You could get down to the NOVOCARE and they opened it up.

But I don't care about the ten dollars. I get it. Maybe that's a way of trying to control the number of people that don't it's going to pay it. Yeah, somebody will find it's going to a charity. I had no problem with that. But the fact that they're only doing one open practice now it makes it difficult for the people that you have young kids, you don't want to spend two hundred dollars to take them to a game that you're going to leave it halftime. At least you can get them on there and get the experience of seeing the players, seeing the stadium, seeing the field and it having a definite a fun night out of it. We went to one of them last year and the kids got a kick out of it. My girls don't really they're not really interested in football, but they go down there and it's a good time and they had fun. They're not going to go to a game. My son will. Good lucky you. Yeah, but I do feel like it's it's I don't know, that's an intentional slap in the face to the fans. But that's the way it seems and that's why some fans are taking it. Yeah, I don't disagree on anything you said. You know, fine, you want to throw some money at a charity, great, but they're not they're not taking into consideration the fans who packed the stadium week after week, year after year. You know, again, not to go back my day road choking, but yeah, but I mean, you know, it once a pot of time you could go to Lehigh, you could go to West Chester, you could go to widener and back in the day when he used to go to after Hershey and they would have not one but two of a practice is open to the public. I remember going up to Lee High and there, you know, we would get there for the morning practice because, you know, it wasn't ninety eight degrees in the shade, and it was. It was the main practice because it was cooler in the morning. So we get up there early in the morning for the practice, hang out for the practice and leave and we go back into the parking lot and there were people tailgating in the parking lot waiting for the afternoon practice. That's some serious dedication because, like I said, it's ninety eight degrees in the shade. Sure wasn't just you? No, Wastn't. Now I had my kids with me. Just me. It wasn't me, but you made your kids drink and somebody had to drive take yes, somebody esious, terrible bad as you had a license at three and I mean it was. It was crazy of the scene up there, you know, and guys are waiting around for the afternoon practice, which is five, six hours away, and it's going in. It's special teams practice, it's nothing. There's nothing going on in the afternoon practice. And guys were waiting in the parking lot, they were tailgating the parking lot waiting for the afternoon practice. You don't nobody's going to have that experience anymore. Yeah, you know. And Mark echoled on facebook posted something about training camp. I forget what it was, and I told him the story that I remember as a kid going out to widener and this one practice Leonard tows landed his helicopter on the baseball field next to the football field that they were practicing on and the entire practice tank came to a screeching halt because of all the dirt that's flying around from the from the helicopter and the fact that a helicopter land of fifty yards away from everything that was going on. Everybody's like what who? Of course it's the owner of the team. He's allowed to do that, but it I mean, you know, I guess I got to experience that. I can relate to that, to tea two people and give that story. Nobody's going to be able to do that anymore. That's sort of thing. One of the one of the things that actually made me a huge Dalkins fan was I was up there for a practice and he came over and just started, yeah, having football shorts and side sure it. This was. Yeah, we got his sick, we got this close to the player. Now the boat I have also has hank fairly on there, but I don't know if that day honey buns wasn't bad to minishes the value of the dollkins. Well, yeah, it was, just it was a totally different experience that they've slowly gotten away with it moving it to the stadium, but they tried to make it as interactive as they can in the stadium and now just cutting...

...it back more. It means yeah, and and I think unfortunately it's the way of the League. I think that. You know, there're still plenty of teams who do out of the training camp thing, but I think in the future it's going to be the way of the League. I saw one team in the knt remember was said. They we're going to have ten open practices to yeah, Oh, yeah, yeah, they're they're still plenty of teams to have open training camp for a fans to come up. Yeah. Now, the one thing that that I found funny when we did go to Lee high you had to walk through the gift shop get into that trade cart and now to walk back out through the gifts shop to get it training. Ye, or leave training. Can you Caldn't get your old player Jersey's for fifteen bucks? Who? What's a hank? Fairly not a hankful. WHO's heck, Basket Basket Jersey for fifteen bucks, only if his wife signed it. Whoever that was, I can't remember who Kendra, not that I followed it, and y axe he not that I followed that stuff. Have you keep it up on very cavalry, by the way, tower which Jakes to as we talked about it last time. I'm still in the same stance that I cannot tolerate any of those women on that show at all. Jay doesn't make it worth it. Just a little snippets a Jay it's not enough. It's really bad. It's like really, really bad shows. This this was the Christen Cavaliery Jake Cutler. Oh God, yeah, it was basically like three minutes of Jay Cutler just not giving any you know what's, and it was amazing. A growling at people and they come in the door. You like yelled at like one of the girls for parking on the lawn. Really, though, they only had like a short driveway. God, it's see, that's great. He's not league anymore, is he? No, card the dolphins stint, my favorite Jay Cutler play, which really sums them up, is entire crew up, isn't it is with the dolphins and the you know, they flanked him out, they sent him out as receivers. They're doing like a wild Hipaa coad, you know, just to you know, well, you know, maybe they'll throw it to him. Whenever they literally snap the ball and his hands are just on his hips and he's just like this, God, he literally doesn't move and it was like way to sell it, Jack here right, but just like summed him up, they're looking. Yeah, they're lucky you didn't just put it, light up a cigarette, stay in there and late. It was the best. I Love Them. I'm as the attitude was fine. He wasn't that his quarterback? He was like yeah, moments he was like the Eli face, but at opposites that. Like you, you waited to see what color was doing on the sideline. HMM, and who he was pissed off that or or that? Just I don't I don't give it a face too yeah, it's like nonchalant Ali. I have a field full of fs and you see the field is empty. HMM. All right. I got a couple other topics here. I want to do, though. Frank and quarterback. Oh yeah, so this is what I want to do. Wasn't this a topic we were going to do way back, baby, and never got around? So we have a lot of topics that we never get to it. You got that right. I still I still want to get the fourth thing going. Haven't been able to do that. When I think it's here. We are going to do rail. I think Aaron Rodgers is the worst. Now the for for four is I think it's really difficult to say you're truly a Ford for for fad. Nowadays, Um, you can follow, but me, meaning you like all four sports of wire. You're going to be a casual and each one, but that doesn't mean you don't watch them all. Right, right, like like you, you don't care about the any of the Leagu's, you just care about a team that says Philadelphia on the Jersey. Maybe a second line Flyer. If for before guys aren't going to do that because they watch all the sports. I don't see like it. It's good the other way, I think for four guys where that that patch on their shoulder, like I can tell you what this guy's batting percentage was. It's just casual viewers of each sport, like they don't know like super indepth things about any of them that, but they do watch all of them. My my definition of for for is a little different. My definition is you don't have to be a die hard for each sport. You have to be a fan of...

...each sport, you have to follow each sport, each team, but you don't necessarily have to be a die hard. You know you're watching every game, you know you're looking at the box score in the paper the next day and you know that sort of thing. But I think as long as you follow and our fan of each team, you can count yourself as a for for four. Okay, Uroq, okay, with people jumping on the Bandway, I can to playoff time. I have no problem with I don't no problem. I just feel like just just don't act like you've been there the whole time. Right. Yeah, people, exactly. That's a great definition. I feel sometimes the people that call in to sports raded, though, and they do the for for four. They they they almost act like they're in the on the Coche Ching staff to some of these and yeah, I guess too hard to do, right, especially when the teams are not playing well. Yeah, our phillies. Yeah, no, I. I. I think Taylor hit the nail on the head. All right, don't actually you can jump on the bandwagon, but don't act like you've been there since you were in diapers. All Right, see that unscheduled topic. Crossing off the list. Finished in two minutes. Flat flats or wing Ah, we are so productive. This right now here's here's the constant between behind the frank and quarterback. So I've gone and pulled up quarterbacks post my birth, one thousand nine hundred and seventy seven and on. So don't be throwing the new van Brocklin's at me and those guys. He's before my time. All right, if you could take certain assets, certain skills, of any of the Path Eagles quarterbacks to build your perfect even eagles only, Eagles only. Yes, he goes only. Who? Who would you take from? I would take jaws as toughness. You got jaws for the toughness. All right, I might know the UNTANGIBLES. Shocking. Yeah, we're going on. We're going everything. So if we're saying smile, best smile, I'm going Rodney Pete. Yeah, yeah, so good. Every everything he did. He had a big old TEPI once. So Roddy. Not, that's true. It's smile. You want to go best hair? See, I'll have the coolest. Jim McMahon. Give me back. Yeah, that there are actual football attributes. Okay, all right, right, everything that's crus is called the Polish rifle for a reason. So I have him for arm. I would like to have alls his arm. Okay, now, that's just arm strength. Okay, Wan to talk about accuracy. How many things are going to be Carson, because I'd pretty much take them all, to be honest. See, I honestly I have cars from for a couple but I've also picked me on attributes. So who do you thinks the most accurate quarterback? Devils have that you would like to wow, have that put in our Frankie quarterback. I think I just said it. Carson, I think. Yes, since one thousand nine hundred and seventy seven. Yeah, it's probably Carson. He's got the best completion rate. HM, and he goes history right now, and that's pass heavy offense in a past heavy offense. That's very a very past friendly league. Yeah, that's still no back in seventy seven you were still allowed to beat up the wide receivers all the way down the field until the ball was in the air. Yeah, I would give to Randall but one vertical. Vertical. I had height, but I'll take vertical. is athletic ability, intangible, as Taylor likes to call it. They're all athletes. I think that's kind of tough that, but athletic ability, I think Randall. So here, let me, let me, let me pose it to you a differently elusiveness. Randall, I have went for that one. MMM, I don't know. You remember that Monday night hit from Harry Carson? I do. Do you remember? And their cars are disappearing in a cloud of Reds Harry Carson. Yes, I'm sorry. What was that? Remembered it when disappearing in a pile of red skins. Oh Yeah,...

...and, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, and that just blew me away. I those two plays. I've never seen anything like them in any game I've ever watched. that the hit from her Harry Carson on Randall, where any too keeps. Can any blow his knee at the way he lay into Guss and he bounces off and throws a touchdown to Darkansasso born. Yet Arkansas, Red Barnett, now Taylor, I got nothing. Wait quick, I know that backup tight end, Jimmy Giles. Yeah, throws a touchdown at Jimmy Chiles. You know, it's between that and the end and the Carson play with the redskins. It just I could watch those two plays over and over. Oh that in the and the the fourteen second scrambled by Donovan against the cowboys. I could watch that over and over. So is there anything you would take from Donovan he's the number one eagles quarterback right now. Smuggings history smacks of aggressive. This not not his dancing ability, that's for sure. That Michael Jackson leg kick. Take anything from Donovan. He did throw a nice deep pass. Is a short burners his yes, Short, the medium range was was not the best, but is his deep passes were were really nice. We're down conversion ability. Sure he was actually, I mean he was really good at breaking tackles. Yeah, he want when he would run and he was tough to he was tough to bring down. You said Jaws for toughness. I have two different guys for the time. Yes, I have Donnie, yeah, Donald NAB, yeah, and Jeff Garcia. Yeah, Joe, yeah, Jeff Corsea, right, he plays the best. SANA corsee. Yeah, happy birthday, Philly. Come on, man. Three wins in a row on the road against the division and he lost to the giant and then we lost. Yes, I remember. Donovan has the most game winning drives in Eagles history. Yeah, wow, he's only one off at cutting him, okay, but he has twenty two. Cutting Ham had twenty one. Jaw Says Twenty. Okay. Hopefully Carson gets up there at some point. Yeah, I fully expect them. Speed. I think speed is easiest one. Vic like Vic yeah, yeah, vicause, one of the fast quarterbacks ever. Split Second I thought you said Nick and I'm like now, have you seen that DREYF run? patrified when we have to get to any of his attributes. Now I'll keep clean. I wasn't going to go petrockept out of the locker room. Now, do you have? I have nick for something. If there's one attribute you can pull from Nick, but whippy leadership, leadership, his would be more than tangible. Sure, no, it's tangible. Keep it a clean tower. They go to absorb. Are We goum are just ran off. We I've got just crashed in the salt and break it. All right, we're back with me. His ability, no, he really was. His ability to readefense. This was really good. Yeah, when they kept it simple form, like when they just told him to go up and just hey, take with the defense gives you, that's when he was at his best. That's why he had so much success that first year with chip, because it was very set. Just do this. Is that the twenty seven to year? Yeah, the first year, which soon, as soon as chip tried to open up a little bit for him or tried to make him, you know, breaking open a little bit more. That's when he plummeted. That's why I'm a little word with him and Jacksonville. That's going to be very interesting to see, because what the reason he had so much success when he is a good quarterback. But Doug Peterson dumbed down that all like that was the whole thing. There's first couple games in the carrible Doug was a our. We got to dumb this down. M and once he just made it simple, just basic reads. When he took off. It's going to be his story for the rest of his career. He you cannot give him an overly complicated...

...offense because he over because he is smart, will actually overthink it. They need to use his intelligence with look, this is just a basic defense and that's why bill belichick couldn't break him. So he was able to get to jared golf because what he would do was, you know, they would talked with McVeigh. Think they would break the huddle quick so that he could tell him all the way down to fifteen seconds before they cut it off. Well, at fifteen seconds, bellischik with then switched the defense. So it's like things like that eat that stuff wouldn't bother because they're all right, you go to that and go to that. That's fine, because it was just basically two or three basic red's. Big Vay's offense was too complicated for golf to be able to do that. So that's why just strictly keeping things simple and reading defenses is a great gift to have, and I think he was the best at it. Donovan would make things too complicated, Hick would do it, they all did. Randall actually was pretty good with that as well. I mean Buddy Ryan made it as simple as possible for him. Just make five big plays, though, and if he has that arrest, that was crazy, the things that he asked him to do. But I think if I'm like calling about nickets, it's his decision making his calmness, his coolness, just like he didn't he left. He trusted his guys in front of him. We're going to block for him, and he just knew where the ball needed to go. He'd get it there. He never really seemed to see the guy frazzled and you know, you look at the sideline and see the quarterbacks throwing shit around and he always seemed cool, calm, collected and let's go back out, we'll make a play. I know what I'm expected to do next. Let's move with it. His his poise under pressure was was was it think, you know, a really nice thing to watch because he he did not get rattled when, you know, when he either had a move in the pocket or, you know, things broke down around them. His poise was was really something special to watch and he never got credit for his arm strength. He had a good arm, he really did. I remember being in that stadium against the Texans when he made that bomb. To guess would have been agilore and that was a absolute bomb. I think it was a week sixteen looks for the first half like we were down, I think, by a touchdown and he just uncorked at least a sixty seven yard bomb and that passed it. He through I believe it was the Tory Smith in the front corner of the end zone in the Minnesota. That any flicker? Yeah, plee flicker. That was a double team, if I remember correctly, and he had to play right. He had to place that thing literally. You know, the term throw it in a bucket. He had to throw it in a bucket from sixty five yard old and when. Yeah, that's and he did it. You had to have a strong, warm in order to do that. Yeah, how about intelligence? He thinks the smartest Parson. WHO'S THE SMARTEST FOOTBALL IQ? Ar Arson. Yeah, all right, I'll go with Carson SAR seea. That's the other name that was coming to mind mind. I almost said him, but then you guys said Carson. Yeah, I would go with one of those two. There's guys on this list that weren't the most productive Eagles quarterback, but again we're pulling the best attributes from him and putting together. Keith buyers. Keith buyers made it on the list of quarterbacks. I want the pro football reference. He's number sixty two all time and equals good. I think it's based on yardage. Okay, Keith buy he's in. Then he's also it's for forty four and all touchdown passes. But is here for four guys. That may be with the Eagles he's throw another passes. With other teams he's five for eleven on his career. Well, yeah, all right, with the eagles he was for for four and they were all touchdown. Here's, here's. I'm just going to do a lightning around here, give you some names from the past and if there's any redeeming characteristic of these quarterbacks that you would want in your eye perfect quarterback. Tie Deppler, smart Guy, HMM, proudly...

...smart. MMM. I literally can't think of one thing. Now. We mentioned Sanchez. I tried to. I also cut off players that played less than five games for the eagles. Okay, guys like Matt Berkeley were showing up on here and Kevin Cobb mark ripping cobs owners I have I have an attribute from each other. COOI Cooy, I ask on here. He throws the best over the shoulder fleck to the to the place kicker for first and out the fake. Yeah, I said Cooy wose. I was such a probably like the goofiest quarterback God. Yeah, Donovan did some Goofy Shit, but he was just a total that that play from coy Dat Mer and David acres was wanted the coolest place I've ever seen. I remember that the Kidy just flipped it over his shoulder right there on the money. And Yeah, I think it was acres was wearing his wedding band till I'm like dude stepping on the football field whiich our wedding by. I'll come on now, he's even as a kicker. Kick, even as a kicker. Ak Phey, best wife, best looking wife. There you go, Hey, without seeing all the other wives. Hag, I guess I can't argument. You know what I used to say about AJ Feeley. The best thing Aj Pheley has gone for him is Heather Mits and he can hold a clipboard. Eddie can all the clipboard. Yeah, it was. He's a he's a service. Will back up. He was. Any bobby starter Um who had that big win against San Francisco? Was it? Was it a J feeley? I think when age, when San Francisco was sick with Coi got hurt that he came in. Yeah, and he ends. Frisco was still pretty solid team at the tail. They saw atio they had to fall off, that they were starting their fall. Yeah, Buts Frisco. Excuse me, you just abbreviated as Frisco. Yes, what you don't know? And it's the Niners, not the Fort Think Sam friends the way to go, not Frisco, now, Frisco or or Sam amount like a breakfast? is she either? Or come on, Taylor, looks more like a food or something, because that'd be friskies. It was an old soap opera. Great First Go. Wow, no idea what we're talking about. GARROL hospital. Sorry, but I girl up told my daughter. Why? My daughter, my sister, watch General Haya, now knows what we're referring to. Yes, I can't rem on. Frist Goo and Felicia, get with the guys. Let's go. So who's next? Bobby Hooeen, tobby o real, Vince Young? Yeah, he had the best quote. That turned out to be garbage. How about tell you, Peterson, anything from Doug Coaching, best shopping partner for a coach's wife, I think. Thugs. Get in here. Dougs got the nicest are I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was boff. Yeah, all right, that's all we got for what to do with that, unless you have something nice to say about Brad Gable or Jeff Kemp. Oh my God, practicable. All right, so it sounds just looking at this, it's another most of our quarterball of the of the millions of millions of listeners, we and viewers that we have going on with their some of them are saying who, who's these guys? He's round bride Gable Coit. That mere. They must not be, for before that they must not be. It looks like we got a lot of jaws whence randall seems to be as expecting as yeah, Carson, in there, I said, wentz said, I apologize, you did. And then the intangibles will we can touch on that another day. The intangibles at the tailor one with the talking about intangibles. You can't touch it. Will touch on another day. I like, doesn't it? You like like that? It was good film works all right. I got a couple more things, but let's we got a sixers guy here. Let's talk about the sixers draft a little bit.

I know that they pick two players. I'm done. Anybody else gets but I know they picked two players off a nine win team. Six ERS twitters having to melt down, though. When I checked in, nobody knows. Nobody knows, nobody knows. Let us be honest. It's like it's all over, like what are you talking about? Wow, they traded a bunch of second round picks that they weren't going to use because they're contending team. Weird. That's yeah, that's my if Elton out and came out and say it, it all makes sense soon. So if he's thinking, I mean, I don't love that. Get round players. They're not going to do anything anyway, so we can sell them get a little bit more money. Yeah, to hey, Maurice Cheeks was picked in the seventh round. Jesus, here's the thing. You can go down a less and it's like ten guys that actually had legitm a careers in second round. And there's a draft every year. Yabe a drift isn't as fun as the NFL drift either. And now slam, it's really outside of the first five pen not at the vault. The lottery pick is more exciting than that, than the day actual draft. Yeah, and they build it that way too. They build it up that way, Hild you feel like the Celtics are the big brother to the sixers and just Kinda just keep pointing with us. Oh you want that guy, well, maybe we'll draft them. Or said as a pick. You think Danny ainge got over on us again, I mean wearing a better position than he is right now. And they're about to get gutted. Like you could say they beat us in all these trades and we're still in better position right now. So point who cares explain that their best player left and they pretty much betrayed out Horford with their whatever contract they gave him or making him opped out? HMM, I don't know why. I opt out of it that option, because I think they told him they would give him like a legitimate deal and apparently it hasn't happening. It interesting. I haven't been able to keep up with the yeah, with the Sonics Lay Celtics aren't really great with treating their players as long as they obvious. That's all I care about. Seem strange from a team in New England. Yeah, you you have any you think there's any validity to woje and his comment that Kaui will have a meeting with the sixers? Maybe he's eating? Yeah, but what's what's your percentage of the Hell knows what that guy thinks? That's what I us like. I'm going to say sure, because I have no idea what that guy thinks. It's amazing how we grasp with anything like. There was the one interviewing time I think I've actually listen to me speak was in they are asking him the year. Are you interested in, you know, the Lakers? Could you know you're in La and your Lakers fad. He's like I didn't like the Lakers. I was an AI fan. So he was a sixers. So it's like you never know really what he's gonna say. I definitely think we'll take a meeting. But are they all take meeting? Yeah, that's mean. Was Free Mail. Yeah, it was Bryce, really interested in San Frand me. He said he oh he was a beautiful, mean fresco. Yeah, for sell. Right, all right, your mouths again, Father, dad. Enough sixers talk. Any other sixers points? Jimmy's coming back, Tobias is coming back. I would love Kauai. God that would be the best. So if Kauai comes, does Jimmy Stay? Oh No, Jimmy's later. Both. Both. Yeah, I see you. Tobias, when he first got here was exciting. You thought he was going to be a peace and he stays on. A player, but he's not playoff player. I'm fine if that he doesn't come. Yeah, how about the d'angel Russell rumors? You get any interested him? Yeah, yeah, if we don't, if we signed Jimmy and D'angelo, I like that more than Harrison. Jimmy, will you be upset if boby goes then and I'm out of here like the Great? He's basically gritty of the sixers, he really is. Somebody's got to take over for MATC gayger. All right, we did our frank and COUQBAT. We want to talk phillies or...

...we want to do we want to talk phillies. What do we want to talk about? The KAD injury and every buddy bringing up at Philly, booing and put his back in the media around injured players and every fan base space's getting. Every fan base sucks. Let's just be real. Every fan base sucks and I don't. I don't think fans really are cheering an injury like a career threatening injury. If you're telling me Michael Arman's out of the game, I'm cheered. If you're telling me Katie's out of the game, I'm cheered. And a serious, deciding game. Yeah, like I'm about to see the Larry O' Brian Trophy get rolled out. But they always got to throw our names out there. You see it really it's just like what they do in Philly and gets a little annoying. I'm glad they had this. Screw even Bryce, when he got booted home, he said I'd boot, I boot too. He gets it at I appreciate a hit player that gets it doesn't get their panties all in a bunch about it, like look, yeah, I suck. Right now, we are. We're betting. You should be building us. Yeah, when it comes to something like that, I don't have an issue with that. You booted performance, and deservedly so, and cheer deservedly so. There's there's no no. If sayings are butts about it. And you know, players that are offended by hurt by get their panties in a bunch by it. Whatever. Suck it up and play and do better. And they were jock straps. Jock straps in a bunch. wear about it. Don't bunch. I think they twist. Okay, and doesn't sound good. Sounds like you might too, need to see a doctor. Yeah, especially if your neck. It's whole new definition of blue balls. Sorry, sorry, I tried. You know, we got we got less than five minutes to go. I tried, I changed and you and you I made it all the way and a five minutes left. It's tried. I tried. I think the pop is kick it in a yes, the half a shot, yeah, at. Speaking of POPs, I know one of the topics we posted around was barbecue summers. What what's what do you need to have a barbecue or do you have a specialty? For everybody? Burger's dogs. That's a staple. Ribs, ribs, Yep, it's good one. I've been a fan of making some NACHOS. Hm, the little pulled pork will barbecue sauce. How Pino's? Okay, little pulled pork nacho actions will appetizer. Now that sounds awful. Now you gotta have wow, now I got have the any past to get as got rid or you do. Ribs. It's a barbecue ribs, brisket, MAC and cheese, coole slow and the beverage of your choice. I was going to say nobody's mentioning that. The one staple its must other than the meats. You're going to say pay out on I cold, and I mean ice cold, beer. Well, that's again. It's so our ribs and pulled pork and all the others, but nobody, magically, were on food, not drinks. Is Why our white clause of violation. Who like claws or it Seltzer? They don't know what that is. I know what it is. I'm not a Celtzer Guy. I've tasted it. Very refreshing. Right, they are. They are. I should take a couple of those down and not feel like my stomachs about to blow up. I'll tell you, and this is not this is not a paid advertisements, not because Jay's our buddy, but I've been doing the POPs and lemonade. Father's death. I gotta do that and lemonade. Yeah, I got to do that. You want something very high freshman? Ye, pops and lemonade. I'm not questioning the POPs, I'm just questioning whiskey and lemonade. It's I mean, you do like a whole fashions bitter a little, I dude, if I'm doing a mixed one, I'm doing like whiskey ginger every time. Try the lemonade. Okay, it's good, trust me. It sounds like a it's like a college freshman just going to fill up random. We got the four loco, we got some wilion point. She strolled all together. Do we do so speaking of...

...four logod. You see our boy dave've got his real estate license. Yes, so if anybody out there looking him buy or sell a home, one of our old cohost David Fenster, is now a real estate agent. He saw has it? They they're still doing the thing with the fifth quarter podcast and her six years podcast. But yeah, good for David. Well to get him in laying in houses. Yeah, we'll have to hook him up with Prett sel like they can go. We've sent him off into a real world of what a Good Foundation, Nice base. I'm sure we are huge influence. Yes, we are. Dy've calling after your third four Loko. We just want to hear how you sound. We can a barbecue. Going back there real quick. I'd somehow had the best barbecue I've ever had in Philadelphia where wrest place called Mike's Barbecue. I think it's thirteen and Snyder. It's been open for about a year. I went to get lunch there with my mom. They open at noon. We got there at one. We got the last order of ribs for the day. Really one of those joints, all right? Who they were good. Anything else for Eid break? She's brisk and cheese steak. Now you got me and we're s get cheese. Yeah, that sounds really and they're MAG and cheese was on point and probably the best corn bread I've ever had. All right. So, yeah, liked a trip to make. Yeah, to visit Mike's Barbe make me sure you get there when they open, apparently, because, yeah, because whenever the time, yeah, whenever they run out of meat. They're out. Want of those places. Yeah, maybe I'll break out the smoker for the fourth maybe I'll break it out with a Bago tournament. Are you go? Yeah, anybody interested in playing Bago Park with is having a bag o corn hole, whatever you call it, tournament July for Cools. A bag. Oh, it all depends on where. Kay Shansky, I always called it bags. I always called a corner. Yeah, that's corn hole. Yeah, though, court hole was weird. I didn't go corn hole. So what tournament is it? They're just having a bag of tournament. It sounds nobody calls it bag O, cord hole, whatever. Battle. It's a national term. Right. Yes, I feel like that's sounds or in agreement on something. The tailor. That's so unlike park would to have a tournament like that. Yeah, it really is a one sophisticate something involving drinking and forty dollars. Drinks, Burgers, dogs, t shirts, DJ the drinks truck for the kids. Yeah, this the starter pack for think Park Wood is a pack of marborold cigarette. We Go, here comes Mr Mail go and while I steer something, they let the ladies in the door if they're not wearing a tennis skirt out in melbourn. Wow, hey, our brothers put our parasaw one leg get a time. It's like everybody else. That's a tired line. You know. That me at me earlier this week's do you know incredible line? You know, it's funny tying all this recent conversation together. David posted something on facebook where there's some seven hundred thousand square foot home that he's really people if they would have come to look at out in Melbourne or Shit, huge. Wait, this guy's just become a real estate and that's that's that's considered the guest house. Yeah, probably I wanted. I wanted to part her house, fake buy house, just so I can have David give me a tour chat. Just love that image in my head. Yeah, make them be nice to yeah, we'll have to see. Me's having an open house one day when just all that would be the best. Yeah, we gotta do that. All that will open house. Yes, you know what we got he bring a smoker. Do that? Show up at an open house in like tank tops, flip flops? It like any tops? That says, Dave, you're the man. Yeah, we have got to do that. It's got to be out on the main line somewhere. It can't be like, you know, yeah, in the middle of the city's got to be out on the main line somewhere. That would be awesome. That would be so hilarious. Keep an eye on the social media. Yes, he's going to go dark on the social media after fee. Here's this and no, will find yeah, we'll find out if he listens or not. Right, right, right, all right, so...

...that's a flat. Might See your best idea yet, did I'm an idea guy. Yeah, yes, I love that. It was. Secondly, my idea. I'm sorry, Taylor. Might be your best idea, seconded by Mr Marcus. And yes, I just bring your smoker. Yeah, which one? Both? All Right, Oh my God, we gotta do this. We got to do this and just start asking all these dumb ask questions, you know, like we can I try the shower? Yeah, it's had one a week. I want to test for on this Batham. I'll see. Is inten and is there a plunger in here? Oh My God, Dad, that's too can I crash on this couch? Yeah, it ain't a bad living here right now. Just asking, you know. Just you have the black box.
