ABOUT THIS EPISODE

This week in sports - Hall of Famers, Gritty fights, free agency. And the greatest NBA era Ever!!

We promise you are now tuned into another episode of the Santo Booed First podcast. Thanks for coming along this afternoon. Is Saturday afternoon. A Beautiful Day here. Last we were here was snowing. Now it's pouring choaking rain. It's dry in the studio, so we're good. We're good to go. Sponsored as always by the MGM agency Insure Phillycom log on up to ten quotes in about ten minutes through our Guy Matt Maloney and, as always, powered by POPs McCain's Irish whiskey. This is Jim Marcus Full House in the studio. Today we got a be flannery. Brian, what's up? Right? What's up, buddy? Good to see you living the dream every Friday, every day. I'm trying the magnificent Martin's Dj and deek. Morning, good morning, good afternoon, right, one and we got we got some. We're on time. We are, we are on time. You know, things move one you have a couple extra hours of sleep. I guess we got some young guns in the studio to hanging out. Young Martin, Andrew. It's up and drew. We also at Dylan flannery. What's up, Dylan? All right, we got lots to talk about. My that's the talk about, but I think you know it's all season here. I'm going to try something different. I'm going to do something new. We do a little week in review, so we're going to start with some of the new stories from this week. And don't forget our man behind the glass, Key van. What's up? Thanks for switching your schedule and making this happen. Yes, thank you. It doesn't happen without you. Don't let anybody tell you any different. All right. So we're going to go through some of the new stories. Just we kind of quick hits and then we'll get in arm our topics. I'm still playing with this, so you guys tell me what you think about it. But here we got this is. This is my attempted sound blites. I don't know if that went through or not. We're gonna call this, call this. I heard it on your phone. I don't know if I heard it through them right, get it in. I'm like, we'll have to get that on our soundboard later. We're gonna call this segment hi. Well, happen here, if you did hear it? So quick hits, Antonio Brown, back at it, getting some jail time. The Guy can't get out of his own way and we don't want to make light of it. We've said many times he's got some brain issues. I think too many hits. I so sporadic. I feel for him. I saw the video. I didn't repost or retweet it just because there's definitely something wrong with them. It's it's at a point too doing sit ups in the driveway is funny and while it's, you know, narcissism and as fine as it's not mental illness. Right. Well, I guess technically it is, but what's going on with Antonio Brown is just it's sad to see and I feel bad at for him. I hope his family gets in the help he needs. It's just it's sad to see a guy drop off. So I don't think there's ever been a bigger fall off now. Wells the best wide receiver in the NFL two years ago and now. I mean you would have thought he's on the sidelines. You would have thought there would be teams looking at him this offseason and needed wide receiver help, maybe even our eagles. Yeah, but after what's been going on, I don't think anybody to touch this guy first, you're gonna find out if he's going to have to do jail time. Yep, it's sad because he's got kids too. Yeah, there's kids involved to I mean it's bad that they're seeing on news and social media every day doing crazy stuff. It's upsetting. I was glad to see him had the sense in the decency to turn himself in to the police. Yeah, he's did that much. Yeah, you see it, it's like a life sentence that they're live offering to like give them or something. What for? What? Because he I don't know, I guess you could rule it as maybe like because he attempt yeah, attempted murder. Maybe because he hit him with a rock. Well, that'll get he threw a rock at the moving van. I know he hit I thought he hit the guy with no I think, and I heard it was the the trainer, but I saw three Cher more fully saw bleacher report. I'm pretty sure R tweet out that they're offering to do a lifetime. If you're a prosecutor, you're going to come in and, yeah, you're going to say that you want to Adams, scare, scare. I'm kind of surprised that he actually got bail. They're gonna put that. I'll get played down due to mental issue, especially in this day and age with the CT stuff and and everything else. Has ever been a I've never heard of him getting in trouble either. Yeah, he's not been for time, but he's not at right before. Yes, yeah, yeah, no, legal they should exactly. Yeah, we know you think of bread and Marshall went through a lot, the old receiver with jets and the broncos, and I know he battled to mental issues and he got help and he actually got back in the NFL. Yeah, so maybe there's a redemption. So, I mean he's still only what, thirty one, thirty two years old? He's not. He's not old. He's not old, especially for a receiver, and he's in pristine it.

As long as his feet are right, he's in pristine shape. Hopefully, hopefully he gets the help he needs and gets back on the field, or at least he gets his life together. If he doesn't need football anymore, that's fine to you. Just don't want to see the Guy Headline News for the wrong thing. Well, it's more important right now for him is getting his life on back on, back on track first before football absolutely, and which brings me to another story that was around this week. Guys down on our luck with the Lante West. Why see those videos? And that's a guy another peoples. He was not a superstar in the NBA. He was a good player, he was a role player. He played well with the TADS. What was it? Sixteen million he made in the NBA. Probably made born that he was stuck around for guy. Yeah, that was his big contract. But yeah, definitely made more than this. Yeah, and it's another I think it's another case of mental issues, chemical instability, whenever it is. I think that goes back to a St Joe's days, but I thought he was on medical cation back that he was battling bipolar depression. And if you remember, he got pulled over in Washington DC metro area years ago on a motorbike like armed like he was, you know, going to go hunt somebody. He had machine guns on, you know, over each arm and he got pulled over like he was in a video game and they didn't charge him because, if whatever, the MED's something got screwed up. So He's another guy. You know, you hope he finds peace and gets the help he needs. Yeah, and I'm sad to see it was. He was disgusting that that. I'm usually pro police. For that COP to sit there and videotape that was just I think he got fired over it. Actually, I got the suspended, I saw you, as he should. I mean there's no reason to exploit somebody, especially in that position. Yeah, and and where he's at, he's not. It's the opposite of Antonio Brown, where he seems like whether he's hurting himself, he needs to help himself, where Antonio was going after other people and he's a bit more of a volatile situation, where d'lante just like mental somebody needs to reach out. And he looked like homeless to I mean he like that. He has a little dragged. He looks straight up homeless, like he was living on a g on event somewhere. I saw Jimir M Nelson made some comments this week and fill Martelly, and they're saying we're trying to reach out, I'm trying to get them. That's what surprised me. I'm surprised nobody in the NBA kept up the date with him, you know, following up one and I'm sure they have, but I mean at some point if he's doesn't want the hell doing whatever he's doing it. I'm sure there's drugs involved. I mean, if you less, they want to help themselves. There's really not a like movie. He's a grown man. If, yeah, yeah, sues the boggie out and go out on the streets and he's we're doing whatever there's I don't think there's much anybody can do. And he would ever married, right? I saw no. Sure, yeah, I know. Yeah, he has kids, but they're probably not old enough to be legally able to say no. Need to do so often. So he you know, if he's got his sibling or a parents around something, somebody's got a step in, I think on the family end, and try and get him some help. Well, I think it's moral and, to be honest with you, you know, you look at the responsibility, I think it's some point these agents who have made so much money on these guys, should be a little bit more of a stewardship than anybody because at least they're responsible. You don't know where these guys background, where they came from and with their family situation is, but these these agents are lawyers and they've seen a I have the connection. They should really, but I think they take the the attitude or the perspective of if he's not on the contract to me, then he's not my responsibility. Yeah, because, I mean agents have a really made yeah, but their clients makes so much money for them they should and once they're no longer client. Well, that rosenhouses is in with Antonio Brown, didn't he? He fired them. He loves hiant. He said severed ties. Yeah, he said I'm done with like he need help. Yeah, which which maybe maybe in that case. He tried. And Rosenhouse is worked with a lot of big time egos and yeah, big player. I mean if he's caught in ties with you, I mean you got something wrong, Dude, like you need to figure it out. Yeah, all right, some paull of Famer News. Derek jeeter missed it by one vote. Missed the unanimous who does? That's what I want to know. Who is the one person that held out and said, like jeter, Hey, I Yankee, I don't care for the Yankees. He was a great player. You never heard of it him doing anything wrong outside of you know, he had his girlfriends and he had that like style. But whatever, he's a ballplayer. Let him have it right. For what we know, he was not a bad dude. So what would he have done this? So much to one person to say, well, I'm not voting for the hall of fame, but it's a year after Rivera gets in unanimously too, so what are you doing? They vote jeeter. He's everybody, every bit that first ballot. One hundred percent. Guy Is as revere is right. Yeah, and to the the voters, to the sports ratters, only have a certain amount of votes they can give. So maybe this guy had some other agenda to get older players that might be on the end of their chance and just I think they do a shit am out of those limited amount. But I can't buy that. I mean, I think this is the old adage. I was seeing some of the guys that didn't get in first time or didn't get...

...a hundred percent. Mickey Mail didn't get a hundred percent of the vote. Certain a lot of guys. That's that's where I'm going. Yeah, Vera was the only, if I'm not mistaken, to get unanimous correct. I don't know. I can's the only run forever. Yees ever. Yes, that's I'm shocked by that. Well, I mean so be right, I don't know. I think. I think you guys like how ripping. I'm thinking of my Babe Ruth, so like so that you had, you have to. They invoke the moral clause. Back then it was what about it, like Willie mays didn't. Getting back on you, everybody today, everybody today, is shocked that, oh my God, Derek jeter didn't get unanimous. Vera less, you got unanimous. Yes, you, you questioned who would not vote for Derek jeter to go into the hall of fame. But then you got to remember Babe Ruth didn't get yeah, but I think find said that those ty cop onnus Wagner, none of those guys got high. Think Ted Williams, none of them. Willie mays, Hank garn not some of those guys, some of the later guys you mentioned. I get it. But like cop is not a good about about so I can see him not getting unanimous. Right, it was. Vera is the only one. No one. Right, no, right, wasn't that great? Now? So are we going? Are we going strictly on now he's saying what he did on the field, or like, not me said doing the the morals, claws and that sort of stuff. Well, we're going strictly on the field. Shouldn't bonds being by now? He should have been in before he even blew up. If he was going in before he blew up and then he did what he did. Shouldn't do Clem Pete Roseby, and I know we had this conversation last week. Pete Romes is has different situation going on. Here's what he violated baseball rule number one. But if you're saying going strictly by what they did on the field, he's Oh, yeah, I know. I believe pet rose should be in the whole of fame. That's obvious based on his field. Yes, but but he voted. He bet on baseball, which there's a sign in every locker room. Do not bet on baseball or whatever. It seems. Forget that. He's had thirty years to be contrite and try to fix it. Yes, still is never right. Really owned up to it. He's still played the whole and on the fence. I bet sports. I didn't bet against my team. I didn't bet my team. Yeah, like you know, he's played games with the whole time. Shoeless Joe Jackson got a lifetime band. He's been dead how many years. It's Astro's team should get a life too. Yeah, and the whole franchise should get bad. Pete Rose, the man who put the lifetime band on Pete Rose, is dead. So you know I'd right afterwards, dead like within a couple our jeames. Body know, it's a week after week it was. So I mean, you know, you got to take all these things in the consideration. Truless Joe Jackson should be in the whole of fame because if you look at his statistics for that one thousand nine hundred and nineteen world sire, he had an outstanding world series. I don't think he had any errors. He Batty close to four hundred. He had, you know, several rbis. He had no idea, he was ill, literally and he signed a piece of paper because a guy told him to sign a piece of paper. Had IT Happikale? What what happened? How did he look in person? Shoeless, bad boy, and I don't like yeah, he should be in. As far as I'm concerned. Chilling was on the ballot. There's year he was. Well, he's been in, he's been on the bout for a while and he's the next up. If you look at next year. He's climbed. Yeah, well, he's the best big big get big game picture of our generation. Eleven and two and I think six and Oh in you know, clinching games. But if you look at his numbers, you know his walk to strike out ratio is the best of the last fifty years. And if you look at what he did in the stair, he wasn't a steroid guy. No question. Shilling was a bloated to the ballot. Yeah, I'm big power guy and he had he'll get in next year. It hasn't he had some trouble, though. That's say. No T wise he walked a bankrupt that the bankrupt game any company. My think. No, clemens is in right. No, no's didn't get his head. Tails are right. He's always guy right. But I should shilling got in trouble. chillings out in trouble for his mouth. So he's retreatd. retweeted some far right wing stuff from break Bart. I think one of them was a transgender joke and other one was I don't know if it is racially insensitive or one, because he was an analyst for was he an amount must be net espn, and he got fired yeah, fired from his politics. Get Him in troubled? Yeah, yes, but it shouldn't prevent him from being the hall of fame. So I saw that. No, I a great Kevin Cooney put out a really great article and he said, listen, he doesn't agree with his politics, but overall shilling the person isn't. There's guys that are much worse, said human beings that are in bad but if you look at his stats, you know. And he'll go in next year and he'll probably go in Solo because it's a weak class and if bonds and the rest of those guys don't get in, he's the guy. Yeah, and maybe he Scott Rollans, got rolling his climbing to...

...and that please. I don't like Scot supposed to be the greatest of the greatest. Look at his numbers. As a third piece, he played for like fifteen years, at least eighteen, eighteen years. Yeah, I don't know, more our be eist and Schmidt, more gold globs. If you look at his war it's pretty awesome lesson. I'm not a I'm not a rolling guy because of what he was here. He won a world series. He was he only get one with was that. We got one St Louis and the cardinals. Yeah, he was a really he's right on the cusp. I know. Did He have any MVPS? I think he finished top five in the voting like three times. Okay, but he never had never had an MV move. No. So you remember. That was also the error where bonds was winning them bonds one. What seven? Yeah, something like tainted seven. So you know, it's hard to it's hard to put Mvp v value when you got that guy doing that. I just yeah, it's eat. Scott Rolling definitely left the bed taste and everybody's mouth around here. Yeah, well, the other guy that's climbing the ballot to is bobby of brew. Oh God, he how? Because he's got, I think the numbers are a numbers, over three hundred homers, over five, over five hundred s out a vote. Right. No, he's some guy. Is The guy. He's climbing it over and I'll Banya's almost twenty eight hundred hints. I have I think he's the stack compiler, but they were empty stats. It's I I am reluctant to let him into the phillies. Well, you can't fame, you can't, you can't see that anybody? I don't like Bobby. Of Raid You put them up there, but I'm reluctant. They put it. He's the Bey for the hall of fame. D He's the best lay fielder in phillies history. Think about it. I bet the guy we just got he's been here fivery per year. Yeah, and how many at the end of his how many right feelers can you name in Phillies history? Bake McBride, come on, Pete and cave. Was He elect? But I can write that. I write it right, I can. I can name it. Bella, name Dell, and maybe like three or four. Okay, Jason Worth. Worth is worth? Are you worth? And who's the one that led the year in assists? One year for outfielders, maybe a couple years. He used to throw guys out at first base. Damn, I can't remember his name. Role played left, right. Yes, yeah, Barnys was bobby. Bobby a Brays, two hundred and ninety one career batting average. Three hundred and ninety five on base. That's pretty good to une ninety one right ops slugging eight hundred and seventy. Not Okay now I'm just telling you numbers and ever live, not of Solo Hem runs. On a night winny, he finishing MVP. Twenty four hundred hits. Now you want to whom run derby thirteen two hundred and six thousand and thirteen hundred RBI. The record that ye did. Did one thousand three hundred rbis. Now I don't do. You can argue his case all day long. It's not about me, it's about the voters. Your opinions don't matter. No, here they do. Well, yeah, thank you, James, and in this room, Oh shit, saw that, talking about to the voters. They are not adequately for. But I'm just telling you. I know you're playing devil's advocated. I'm not even playing devil's advocate. I'm just telling you the facts. I know and and the fact is he doesn't belong in there. There's a lot of way people die. No, O vps. But he's also a guy. Since when does just over three hundred home runs get you into the Paul? He used to be. Five hundred was the magic number. I'm saying, combined, though, with the steals, with the home runs, with the hits, that it's not two hundred and ninety one batting average. And another guy that's clean. Dennis Rock globs clean one one. He actually won one. Yes would that's how joking and all itself too. Dennis Rodmans in the NBA bobbingly from the wall. Watch yourself. Dennis Rodman deserves to be in the NBA whole fan, but it was about he just wants to be in the whole. Offensively, didn't really know, but he's S S as. I don't think defense, I think for time, defensive pliers. I serve this a missing Eli yesterday. So I just want to bring listening. Yeah, I think five NBA Championships and not me, because him brough with the Pistons. He was. Yeah, but all the work he's don't know. Relationships between us and Curay as is. There was the off north started a yeah, but he wasn't. was He like a big contributor? Like yeah, yeah, he was whack job and Touku, but yeah, right, and you know, as just just said, he's our unofficial ambassador to North Korea. Yeah, but yeah, he was bosing great defensive. There's like rebound. Some people question him about being in the hall of fame now. No, no, because he's no question. Every the only average like maybe ten points like twelve points. Yeah, but I don't leave all every fact. I think he won score was gravy, but on the other end of the floor he I think. I think he won six or seven rebounding titles and he was not a big man. Yeah, yeah, he's maybe a six. Didn't he wasn't a...

...beefy guy. He's like that. Wasn't like Charles Oakley. Know, he was a pain as a defender. You know, he had a redemption because, remember, he got traded to the Spurs. All right, now I'm going to be Geeky, but he got traded to the Spurs and that was when Larry Brown was coaching the Spurs. So he was paired up with Robinson for a while before they got Duncan. But he was a interesting layer. I have no problem with Dennis Robin Bein in there. No, all right. We had another hall of Famer than this week. Eli Manning officially retired on Friday. We had this conversation. He's getting into the all three reasons and two reasons only. He's getting into the hall. Thing Super Bowl, MVP correct against the greatest of the air. If you led the League in passing one year to stop one year he's top seven all time and yards and I think touchdowns. So he statured is bad. It's his win loss that you could argue. There's another reason why. You get because he played for the New York giants as on. The other reason why that hops hops being in at market. But correct. Yeah, you look at his numbers. But I agree flynn. If you look at his record, he finished one game under five hund now he's five on, five hundred and nine hot, one hundred and seventeen. Thought seven lost. Get the eagles brought everybody. He beats the the next thing, player next. Yeah, but he's got two rings. He has one MVP right, one the MVP. Now you never want to be pay don't you want to? I don't patient title. I don't think bade until the's only made the point of New York colleagues that I work he's been in. He was in the League for what, thirteen years, fifteen years, and maybe the play us what he made the files like four times and two times. You want a super bowl. So pretty good. I mean, listen, go back to the one week, the one was the undefeated page Joe, back to that week, the event talk. You know. Well, that's the thing. He Dynasty Stall slayer twice. Exactly. That's the biggest. Yeah, you beat Brady twice in the superp mean, if that's if that's what the voters look at to get them in. Well, it's a compilation of things. But if you look at stats, I mean if you look at Joe named and stats there, yeah, they're terrible. So you know Eli, certainly, but he got him for one reason only. Well, of course, and it wasn't even the empty foot fall when it was the prediction. Well, it's impact on the Games. Yeah, Joe Name is the cultural high. I remember his that that's exactly right. Yeah, I remember his commercials on TV and it was just like there was there were no other athletes doing commercials on TV that I remember, and the see Broadway Joe on TV doing commercials was a pretty big deal. What was he the first, I don't know how to say this right, with the athlete to really get the attention of both the male and female audience. Really take the women seeing Broadway Joe who, Oh, tell the guys want to be a another girls want to be the ladies would to be with yes, absolutely, he. It seemed like he had a different girl almost every week. Right, because it because he had the personality to cool. You had other guy, you had other athlete. So cool is MONTANGEA? Don't yeah, it's Broadway makes stars rankled. Yeah, you had other athletes that were goodlooking guys, but they just like Mickey Nandal, had no personality. Right now, Joe Mazzio look like a ratch right, too much. Yeah, he had Marilyn. He were he he might all right, get that, but they weren't this. Yeah, this superstar. Where was Joe Namoth? Was this superstar? Yeah, and Joan Amoth is carried on for fo. We did see him play and I know who he was. Yeah, yeah, they still bring them all. He still involved with the teams and yeah, he's a name that you know. Maybe we could get a yellow jacket media hall of fame going. Should we start getting a little ring honors our names of the walls? Eli Never got an MVP. Yeah, he was a fourth and only. So it's just a super bowl MVP's yeah, and only a four time pro bowler. Were both a convoluted. I agree. It's you know me all pro one. I don't think you ever got all pro. Doesn't say he was all pro. Yeah, nope. So he never even got all pro and all pros then real actually, the way I look at quarterbacks was like where they ever like a top five quarterback in the League for more than one season? Who Him Now? Just like hall of fame type quarterbacks. I don't know that he was top I don't think he was ever a team quite. I think he was consistently for five or six, maybe seven years of top ten guy. You know, I view I view more his top five, I think as his career passer ratings. Eighty four point one. He threw a lot interests yards. YEA three sign six to two hundred and forty four. Well, the prestree ar six touchdowns, right for right, and I think there was a lot of passing yards in the touchdowns are seven full time. Which is that? That's all top times? Yeah, it's all fame numbers, but five hundred record really, I know. Really brings it back down to rings sauce, two rings. We're going to get tough with this. I don't think you get if he only has one ring, I don't think he gets in. Yeah, I would agree with that. And to put him over the top, and probably don't. That ring was against the undefeated Patriots. I think that still gives him the nod. It makes it, it makes it a harder argument. Oh Yeah, yeah, and I still don't think he gets in. First he's going to sit for yeah, I'll probably sit. He'll sit for a little bit, which is Fune. Well, again, get...

...in eventually. You can have a couple guys that are done this year. Rivers done. He's don't think so. I don't know where's gonna play. I don't know. They while they sold the house. You just right. I mean Miami's gonna Draft. So they got to bring through Patrick Back Miami. Give him another year to two. I would could drift too and leave right. or well, he'll put he'll play the Mentor Roll Your rivers once. No part of that. You don't think this point? No, I mean we'res he fit. Maybe North Kirt maybe, maybe Carolina. If they don't want the kid to play Tampa Bay, you're going to pay Winston. He wants thirty million. That's so fun. Well, he threw what he got, Yardie. I know he's already lead and yards. I think you never know if you're gonna get the five touchdown or the five interception. No, you get both Winston. You get both every week and never get he heat. He went thirty three touchdowns, thirty interceptions are also think that's a byproduct. He deserves to share a blame, but that's a byproduct varying system. Yeah, Aran airs down, I mean area errors on the side, out of fire in the ball. Yeah, yeah, well, yeah, do you have good receivers there? Like, there, you do. I don't know what he's missing. Why? Why? He has we needs classes. I think he's also makes it and he's always squinting over at the sideline looking for the play. WHO's at Jameis Winston, but doesn't like the play? Maybe a squint reaction subconsciously when I needed, when I need a new play. Well, the squint is what do you call in their chief and we're gonna get into the fight segment of this the news. We hold on. What else? Yeah, what else? We got on? I got I got a few more. We got gritty beating up the thirteen year old. We want to do we want to touch on that. We gotta. Yes, Donovan and Tio, did you listen to the gritty? So the DAD was on. Gargan er showed I had it get to listen to it. I heard on w ipay to. All right, so he's all over the place. He's not asking for money. He did an autograph. I don't know. He already has a pictures and he posted it afterwards and I think it's a bunch of nonsense. But the guy did cancel this season tickets afterwards too. And here's where it gets a little weird. Gritty admitted to punch in the kid in the chest. So he didn't hit him in the back right. I don't know, like I don't know where that's okay, that the mascot is. I understands a playful punch, but I'd be a little upset. And then they say they don't have video of it. I mean that places. Yeah, you can't take a piss in there without taking them taking video of it. So I don't buy that. And then why are the police, and I saw this tweeted and I'll steal it, but why are the police investigating gritty? Yeah, but there's a person under his ready. Yeah, right, like there's somebody, a human being, being charged top of going charges against gritty, like if it's an assault charge, gritty, he's not getting around, he's just ruined it for. The kids are right there. I think they know. Yeah, it's weird. Actually, that's friend. His son goes to my son school. So yeah, are you go when you get in there at the mascots, like the fanatics, a great example. Like He. He does some things where some people might not appreciate it. Putting the nose in your face, in the belly thing. And who'll get rough with people? You go to Disney running do the character reels, they come over and they yeah, fund on your heads and robbing your fanatics has been suited me add his sinuousens of times, but for jumping on someone's back, knocking people over inadvertently right, not for a salt aggressive behavior. Yes, that's I'd know there's no video, but you'd like to see the video because now it's there's definitely feels he said, she said right, it's that he laid him out in the chest and it's pretty saying. I gave the kids miss down in the back. He said he right in the back. Did the kid fall down or was it just like no, but the kid the kids and it said he just was complaining that he get a sword back at sore nack or something, because he jolted them from behind. Again the DAD. But here's the thing, that Dad's not look, the dad doesn't have legal representation. Okay, so it. I still think the guys are creep I think he wants maybe some publicity back. Yeah, I think he wanted something from the flyers and the flyers and we're not going to give it to him. I don't think he wanted necessarily monetarily damages. Maybe he wanted his tickets upgraded, maybe he wanted to sit center. I don't know what his endgame was, but he hasn't lawyered up. So and he did get it serious and he did cancel a season tickets. Not because my whole thing about this is the guy waited a week to see a doctor for his kid. Why? That's kind of the kids. They're like, I don't know. I pretty was sitting at lunch, at a dinner the other night, had like a big bruise on those arms, like robbing it. Like what's that? He's a I bang my arm like a week ago like I had stripped throat. We're not going to tell him study good dot. You weren't there to witness that. Dad was there to witness it. I bright bull put back injuries. I mean, you've been in a car accident, sometimes it's a hurts a little bit later. Yeah, the muscle been there once. You're leasing up. No, I broke an ankle as a kid and I think I've walked around on it for three days before finally they were like still swallowing that. Yeah, if the doctor. It seems like, according to this dad, that this act that gritty did to his kid was so bad he was really concerned from the get go he...

...had issues. This is where falling. Yea. So why do you wait a week to go see it? You know, if it was a Saturday, then I understand. You wait till a Monday to go see a doctor. He also didn't go to also didn't go to a doctor. Sorry, went to Chi procus. I say sort of my DC friends, but it's not, you know. Yeah, so what? Why do you wait a week? And and why do you wait a month to file anything? Leagal, I guess that's where faults falls up those two issues. That's where it falls apart from me. If you're so concerned about your kids health, why are you waiting a week? And if you're so concerned about any you know your end game, as you put it. Why do you wait a month to get started? Or the flyers in some ways asking for it because they push this gritty character as an overthetop let's be violent. I mean, you've got a room there where you can pay money to go break stuff for it twenty minutes. I mean, I saw that and I was like that's like what are we doing? He Gain? You're going to an arena and you're asking me to pay a hundred twenty dollars a seed or whatever, and thirty bucks to park and fifteen bucks for a beer and ten bucks for a hot dog, and then I can pay a hundred dollars and I can go break stuff in a room for that he minutes. I mean, what do you do, especially for coming from a sport that's been four years, talking about we got to get rid of the fighting, we gotta get out of the Yes, you know, we got to have a better perception and the public eye that this is what people don't like hockey because of that. Right me personally, the fighting doesn't happen as much and I don't care. It's a part of the game. If it goes great, if it stays, it's getting. I don't minor league mentality. It is. Yeah, yes, you know, yes, and for one of these. And even though the flyers are not a you know, the original six franchise is. They're one of the more esteemed. Sure, they're very hi. Story came in the NHL. Yes, so we running that kind of a clown show. It's kind of like, all right, it's like going to the trend done their game and watching fans push shopping carts of I mean the decides. I'm good with that. What's that say about the team in the franchise? I mean, the year gritty came out, it was all because the flyers sucked and they needed something that sends yes, to look forward the saying at a game. And now they're putting out this room where you can break stuff. I mean, what's to say about your team? Well, you know, I know fire seven. The flyers have a problem because I think they've they held on to the old guard forever, right, and they held on to the old mentality and people had seen the tickets for older a lot of forever, and a lot of those people it did have given them up and people or their die off right. They're dying off at people my age. I've never liked the flyers, but I can tell you I may have bought tickets to the flyers maybe twice in the last decade. Yeah, yeah, I think given again there in time. Yeah, but you know, I'll buck up for an eagle's ticket or a phillies tepet early six or stickets. I have season tickets the flyers. I've just kind of the problem with the fires to me is that this is like they seem like they're okay with being mediocre year after year. I mean they ride those two Stanley cups so hard they do. They ride those out for sores and the broad street bully mentality, like you got to move on front and there's a douchy element to the I don't see the older fan base, but the hardcore fly our fellow they're they're die hard. Yeah, like we can't die hard the other schools. Yes, sake, they want to call it, we call it old time hockey. Yeah, like all we're all like die hard eagles, but they're like die hard flyers, like they're nothing's wrong with the flyers. No, no, you can't criticize, criticize them at all. Well, I went to a game years ago, and I just remember this. I'm in the line to go to the bathroom. Is everybody else is, and you know it's not the vet, but you wait in line and this guy cuts the line and I say something and that other people say something. But it's not my first game pal like like that. It titled Him to cut the line and I'm the other's kids around. He wasn't around, but I'm thinking, like I'd love to grip this guy. Yeah, I'm too old for that, but I'm think I well, we walk into the shore in O World Room. They bring things out, but what a jerky meant. It was just it was very much I feel like there's that are down there. Yeah, it's cocky for no reason. Yeah, and you see a lot of flyer cowboy fans, to which is kind of variates me as well. There used to be a saying when the spectrum was still around, that the there are seventeen thousand, three hundred ninety nine season ticket holders to the flyers games and and every one of them are. Now they're seventeen thousand three hundred nine and fans of the flyers and every one of them has a season ticket. Yeah, because they sold out game at the Gore years you couldn't get a ticket and it's those fans that the mentality still, Yep, dominates the mentality of the organization. Well, we just talked about the phillies wall of fame. Look what they do. I mean every guy that was the one that has cup teams is that they're in wire. Yeah, for a while, I mean you know, yeah, they're trying. The brothers and you got, you know, Dave Brown's in the Flyers Hall of fame rather getting into the mid eight guys. Prop you listen, but says old. I get. You know, Tim Curr, I get, but there's some names up there that I see it. I'm just like, come on, like, you know...

Ilka Cita Cela, look like really like, come on, Pelly Ekland, you'd give me a break. I I remember I was ten years old when the flyers were on their first Stanley Cup and the sports landscape at the time in Philadelphia was futured right future. It was beyond dreadful. The sixers were coming off at nine and seventy three season, but they want to Champi te pill five years prior the sixty six sixty seven season. The Eagles were horrible, you know, after year and it was just, you know, it was it was just a bad, bad local sports scene and the flyers came out of nowhere, yeah, and beat the Free Can Boston Bruins. Are you hitting me right? So it was just this outpouring and this just exuberation that just way crazy. The night they won the cup, people poured out into the streets. They were all I remember I was riding around with my parents in the car and there was just crowds of people everywhere. Set the buses were getting rocked back and forth. People were climbing up on buses and jumping up and down. All it was just an outpouring of total, complete jubilation that they won. And then, however, many days later there was too many of people at their bread and that nobody knew hockey to hack. The team was but not even ten years old yet, and but they had such a following and people were so happy that they won that First Cup that, I mean I fell in love with the team at that point because I was like wow, this is great. May I hope we get to do this every year, and that's what has permeated and lasted through all these decades. Later and that's that's what you still have. You had those people that were kids like me and you have people that were young adults that are still around, and that's why people that were the players that were on those teams are so revered. And they used to hang out at the police called Rex rex yeah, and they, you know, they didn't go to some Hooty twitty club. They went to a local tap room, yeah, and hung out with the de fans, and that's why they're so revered. And if you've ever seen video or still pick was all their braid. They weren't on flatbeds fifty feet away for you could go up and shake their hand. They were sitting in open convertibles on the back of the back seat up on the back seats are convertible. You could go up and shake their hand. So, you know, it was just a completely different mentality back then and that's why two players are so revered from that unless it we grew up. I mean I'm forty two. I remember eighty five and I remember eighty seven. I mean I remember those teams that went to the finals and lost the Oilers, you know, obviously, and losing the red wings in the S it's just they just have hawks. Isn't one. It still kills. The Black Hawks kills you right and with that. But but for the most part, you know, they were always that close, but no cigar. But from for the most part, aside from that cup run, this decade, they've been irrelevant. Another and highly arl another annoying thing is that they recycled players to I mean they keep bringing back these old guys and it's like it's not it didn't work the first time, it's not going to work this time. Yeah, you gotta bring the young talent on. That is NHL is moving towards the skill position. You know, I feel like they try to get these enforcers. You know, they try it with win Simmons. Didn't work out well Simons. It's Simmons had a couple thirty goal seasons. He is he was a skill player because he was all yeah, he wasn't quite that Muker in grind. But you look at like teams like the oilers with mcdavid and penguins still have crosby's killing. You can make your hands on Nick David. I. Yeah, they devil's a penguins tyler all year years. I mean bad enough to get. But Mapp kids know asby I feel like they just had the same routine every year. I mean you gotta Try some get the big center, that big winger. Well, and towards the Patrick Nolan hasn't he's been out all season right, like the guy, the kid they jected a couple of years. I think the wanted the biggest, if not the biggest, problem with the flyers as they never addressed the goalie issue and now now that Kid Flier Carter hearts. Now they have. But in my thing with Bobby Clark when he was the GM all those years was he won two Stanley Cups with one of the greatest goalie you've ever played and he all he did was get retreads, thirty five year old retreads every couple years to try and sure up that the goaltending and it never worked out. Well. It's a tough spot to fill. I mean it's hit hextall, then they tried van be's brock and they had right, you know, Rousseau, and they had channing and yeah, you know Rosky. Well, that's the one that should you didn't like Robert Ash mark, La Farest, Pete Peters. Want to keep going on yeah, they, they. I think that was their their issue. Well, I'm now they decided. Doubt. I think not only car it's a franchise. He is. Well, they used to say, aside from quarterback, playing goalie in this town was the hardest. But yeah, you know. So until they they've been irrelevant. It's it was tough and that's a shame. I mean, I feel like there's a really good fan base here for hockey and especially the farms. I would but...

...it's a shame that the team can't put things together, you know, and there's just not for me, there's not a draw like for me, you know, with the sick. I'm a sixers fan, obviously more so than some people, but that's must see television. Like I know when they're playing I want to seeped. I want to see Simons, the Phillies, even them resigning harp or getting Harper last year. But I didn't tune in the whole game. I at least watched him hit. You know, the flyers just haven't give me any reason. I understand drew and I know what the player is, but he, just everything else around him, has been average and man and we went, we went deep on a gritty conversation. Yeah, and that I still have more more news bits here. He says we got to take a break. I know we want to do the other fight bits here that I got. Sure we had. We had Donovan and tio going at it again, so Donovan made us that that might take a while. We had the Kanes of KANSA state brawl. That was said. That was just ridiculous. I was nuts. That like what it was like. WWe guys thinking up. There's scrolls and throwd stools and and that's happened to Kansas before. Yeah, there's a guy earlier, or have been last season. So the same kid. Yeah, that picked off the little lazy drop your look whatever. You're whooping this team. Well, the kids stole the ball. Your team is down thirty. Is this one of these unwritten rules? Are you trying? It was? They're trying to dribble the clock out. You decide to get a steal and you're going to show boat. When the kid went and blocked his shot, I really don't have a problem. He just wanted to lie like a menu. It's it. Why he's dribbling there down forty was driveling the saw out of court. And the kid decides to get cute and steal the ball. So the guy gets mad and blocks shot and then he harbored over them, and then, and then at all pushing and everything else. There seemed to be a lot of people that weren't in uniform involved. Yeah, as well. Yeah, I know they were off, and then were security. They were injured players. I don't know who they were, but there was one bigger guy, I'm assuming he's an injured player, that was heavily involved and I'm saying they're going, well, this isn't just these kids. You hear the women. They're like that. You know the female students stream screaming right. Well, these guys are big guys. They're calling at it and they no security to help. I mean that's the sad thing. I'm just glad that kid didn't hit the other kid with a chair. I mean that would have been yeah, that would have in bed connor McGregor's back. Yes, sir, big way big Whin, sorry, died. Some point. We'll talk about the Hernandez documentary, but having actually have one more episode ago, one more episode, think that's interesting. I his life is different than what I yaught you wouldn't expect that. Yeah, it's interesting, it's but where? How free? Two Thousand and eight Florida team? Yeah, they're all led by Jesus that. They're all munch of crooks. One the National Shambie Kid. But what a cast of characters. And Wow, you would have a lot to say about it. Okay, yeah, like you know what, it's just such a when I when I watch television, I almost want to be entertained. I just don't find that entertaining. Like, I know he has tortured soul. I know head issues with his sexuality. There's just a lot going on there. I don't know. That's the thing. I didn't know. I know idea about that. Yeah, and I know he had a rough life. What. No, Dad, mom was terrible. said. Dad was there for a while. Yeah, mom was this. Mom was a real peach. Okay, but, like I had thought, he grew up in like a rougher are. He was from Bristol. The right to get like this is not so nice. Grow Up. Yeah, but it's not like you grew up in Compton. Know, right, right, right, hey, had he had a good life. Okay, Hey, wasn't. Yeah, it wasn't really stroud like like. Yeah, it wasn't, not like, not like a great light bullock. He didn't struggle with money as well, like, I don't think any like the gang stuff. Yeah, that didn't come into play till he went down the floorid, it's right. He wasn't. Again, he wasn't a gang banger growing up. He had into it down here. Almost sought it out, right. Yeah, so I got one more episode Togo. What we'll talk about that. He dies in the end, doesn't. Sorry, spoiler alert, come on and in a Pearl Jams Song this week, New Pearl Jams speaking a death. It was not good. It's all not good. We'll have to see what else comes out. It's terrible. I Love Pearl Jams. I know saw is rough, God awful. It is rough. I woke up because my neighbor text me, but it's gotta listen to it. It's great. I listened to it like three times in the shower. Sounds like this thing is. It's terrible. It doesn't make I've been trying. I've been trying, but it's disjointed. They're changing up their sound, hopefully the whole album as a change up a sound. Well, they have some stone gossard art will stop with the prol Jim talking a minute. It's stone gossip. Put out a statement real quick. That's spin picked up. All the rest of the album's all rock because they knew they okay, you're done, fucked up. All right, you put out the worst song. Yeah, they have made sense to one. The buried B side'll be the B side that we don't talk about. Seven years and that's what you put out. Yeah, way to go, Eddie, yeah, way to go. All right. Any other quick hits before we...

Are you concerned? Am I concern? It's true question. Not Truly concerned. It worries me. I don't know if there's guys that will coughed was a name that was out there right call which show out there he was. I'd have interest in, I'd have interesting called well, apparently, and he's said no, CAFCI's got he's not going anywhere. Fine, I don't know if there's anybody on the niners that. Maybe they think they have interesting, which is why you're not hear any names. But Caldwell still out there. Yep, deuce, Yep, they're going to promote him. I'm not I'm not opposed to worried now. I'm not opposed. He's got a great job with running back. So I think if anybody deserves a shot, if you're not bringing in like a cald well who's got that pedigree, I think. I think douce deserves a shot. So I called will comes in as the OCD. You think deuce leaves no because called well, he gets that respect. It's not somebody who hasn't done the job before. Yes, but I also think that's got to be a conversation where they have, or they said, at Deuce a listen, absorb everything from him. He's sixty five years old, you know. Yeah, whether you're here with us or he's giving you some knowledge for a future OC job. Right, you're better off staying here with us and learning from called. Well, but you've got to also, you know, you think about the lack of minority hiring for coordinators and everything else. They've got a you know, the NFL's got a problem, like a big problem. And I know we don't do politics on here, but I think, like you look at the enemy continuing to get not, you know, not even a sniff of a coaching job. There's there's an issue with the NFL and you know, and you wonder how much of it's. I don't want to say I don't want to see it's. I don't I don't know because I'm not in those shoes. But like a guy like duce, I just sit there and look at it and I go, what's the guy got to do to get the next bump up like? And maybe he's not ready. We're not behind the scenes. I don't know, but there's there's just the NFL as a problem. Yeah, you see these guys. It's like we were just talking about hockey with the retread. You see the same people getting jobs over and over again. Right, and you can say what you want for experience, but how are these guys going to get experience if you don't give him the chance? Right, right, so deuce has been he was an intern forever. However many years he's been calling plays. Yep, on and all for the last two YEP. And there's a lot of nepotism in the film. I mean, yeah, you know Shanahan winning a super bowl. Listen, give him credit, right, he's done a great job. But for every one of those stories, you know you have the Shula Boys. You have how many of Bella check sons are on that staff that are probably keeping some other football lifer out of the game? There's there's just a lot that goes on. So you know there's issues there. Yeah, yeah, and again, not to get into a politics now, but the runey roll thing, it's not effective. No, right, it's basically saying, all right, I'm going to meet this role and bring somebody in for an interview, but I have no intention to me. I mean pissed off, like give me a real opportunity here, give me a real shot. Old DALL team to check the box with me. That's exactly what they're doing. All teams are doing it. Just bring it in, somebody, just say Oh, we did that. Now we can move on and get to what we really want. I knew all long I was bringing in this guy, but you know, I'll go through emotions to meet what you need me to do. You look at the executives too, you know. Yes, that's true. That's true. One story was Josh...

...mccown possibly getting him to stay around. But again, do you that's where, again, you get all these other guys. Yeah, I mean Dude Deuce made the pro bowl a few times. Douce is a legit player wanting to get into coaching. He's paid his dudes becount steps off the field. I mean mccounts the count as coach. What a season of high school? That's what I should say. Like, if he comes right down offensive, listen, you want to bring them in as a quarterbacks assistant, assistant coach, quality control coach, videos, even assistant offensive cordner or something like that. I'm good with that. You know, if the players like him, whatever, but yeah, OC job. Yeah, I appreciate that. You were in the league for seventeen years, whatever might have been, whether you're a starter or a backup, and I'm sure you know the game as good as some of if not better than some of these coaches. But you haven't been on the sideline as a coach. No, I'm not ready to put you right in his my own site and I want him on the staff if he wants to be here. I said I'm staff. Same with Jason Peters. After I would give him playing yes, Jason Peters going to play somewhere next year, where it's here or somewhere else. And you've got such a line. You know, if it gets me the right price, he's still better than half the NFL line. It's just depends on his price tag. But he's gonna play somewhere next year. I hope he doesn't he's sake. He's not that. God. Remember Steve Carlton at the end of his career, bouncing from team the team, white socks, Indians, twins, giants. Yeah, that's that's where Jason Peters is heading, into that territory where he's just bouncing around trying to collect the paycheck. But I don't think it's a paid I don't think he's got more than he's not that financial issues, you see. No, he's life's private. He's not. Carlton did right and Jason Done that. Problems like that. I know he just loves to plan, he loves to play and he he thinks he can still play. And yes, is he better than many left tackles in the League? Yeah, he is. Okay, then he should play. I just don't mean but the problem is he doesn't finish. Yeah, he's more reliability. It's yes, take your eagle cap off. I don't want him tear because, literal because you drafted Dillard to play. Yeah, that spot he has to play. You have to hear all. You're stunning his growth. But if I'm a team that's on the COSP that needs line help and he's a reasonable price, he can get a job. I'm not saying yeah, and I just don't know that if I don't want him here, listen, if that's what he wants to do, God bless he does hear. He's going to be a hall of Famer. He spent the majority of his career here. He want a super bowl ring here if he doesn't retire as an eagle? Yeah, it's the way of the sports these Ya. I'll come back into the one day. Contrast is God bless. If he wants to go play, let him go play. I just don't want to back. Where's he from? Darker, go right. He's said from that he's played down there, but I don't know who's Anna Arty saw go to warden and I don't know the bucks looking for tackle life stuff. He's like fingers. You know, he lives in South Jeria offseason. So I don't know. I just feel like a warm weather team would be better for him at this point of day, but he's looking forward to those. Maybe he's that cold weather getting into the joints. Listen, he's got TV written all of them afterwards. Yeah, yeah, get them like when he's when he actually opens up, he I mean he knows these excellent nose but he's chock full of personality to I mean he's a character. He's a guy. I want to see after football how he slims down. You see how a lot of these opensive line and like Harroman's is like yeah, I might be bared was now. I don't know. It's uted to see how he I think a lot of it is he just needs too much. Yep, he's work. He's a workout warriors. Yeah, he lost the reek. How much? He lost? Like twenty five pounds? Yeast here three hundred and twenty eight. I think he's more than A. He's yeah, that's not official. He is this like guy. He's A. for the record, he's from Queen City, Texas and went to Queen City High School. Okay, I don't know if that's near Houston or it's on that Arkansas border. It's okay, Texas. Yeah, I believe. We'll see see. How about the we still need some mad coaches on the defensive side. D Line, D backs. Name that was out there was. What's new? Mark on, Mark Ud Manuel from this, from the Falcons, or mere d back? Don't know much. You need some need some talent in here, dude on't you? Yeah, we load that, yesterdary. So We des got the list of free agents. They're figuring out who we might want to take a shot at. I think what I want to do too, is take a position going into the draft and US do a little homework. So we could start talking about players at the Eagles mite be looking at grab in the draft. There's a couple cornerbacks, but they're not going to be around at that that the bottom of the draft. We were rear. It sounds like most likely the bottom that first round. We're looking at a wide receiver, which I'm good with that. I find us with that. There's in first three picks. You need a wide receiver. You need a corner back, maybe two cornerbacks, and I'd be okay with him. Off. You'RE gonna you're going to take the first three rounds on wide receivers. Now in the first three I want. Yet it was first three pints. I wanted a defensive Lineman to you need to study lineman. Yeah, yeah, you don't. You need the size of you're getting. You're getting old. You know you need a linebacker. Tell Freddy Grahm's getting old. You do need a linebacker. Kelsey's CO coming up on year two of US three year extension and I'm not so sure...

...he's going to play after this. Alger Center. But where's say, amls, your center to be? I think where are you older at, though? The offensive under a defensively, and where do you need more health? Aste? Yeah, yeah, you got your relying on Malick, Malie Jackson. You're relying on Fletch next year, who's been consistent. Brandon Graham's going to be thirty three next year. Who knows what you're going to get out of bar and a partners you have. He's been a loss. He's been kind and cons had one good rookie's not been a bus but he's not been what he should be for first round pick. Yeah, he's not consistent enough when he tends to get yeah, he's kind of reupit of injury history. Don't re up them. That's fine, but if you're looking at the lines as a whole, in the depth, there's no depth on the offensive line side. Well, I mean you got, you got, you got lane, you've got brandon right and Kelsey. I mean VI Tais going. He's a great right. You got my you got my lot. Yeah, he's a free agent. He could get a starting. That's what the price think. Yeah. Yeah, he started on Super Bowl tea. Exactly. Yeah, I get a starting. That was two years ago. It will be three to you give him up, but he's only all season. Are you give him a full offseason to know that he's a starter to prepare? I think will be fine. I agree that. Okay, well, you got one. So you got you got dillard. Yep. Yeah, my lot after that, I see I'm done with my lot. I think that project is done. I would I don't know why they didn't put the game up on villa in a wave and look at him. He's a bro for the steers. I mean, yeah, yeah, but it late billing away that exactly. He had experience in the game. No, I don't think he did. He did. He played for army, did okay, yeah, went away on specially that he won't. Yeah, yeah, fine, I just I'm done. I think we I'm more worried about offensive line depth, because I don't know at least, and I know they haven't been played well. But you got Barnett, you got sweat, you still got shariff. I mean you had sure. If my guys they're sure, if he might not be here and you think we'll be here next year. He's on a so I know what. He didn't even play this. You didn't see that. You Got Yours, just suit up. You getting Jimmy torked up over there, you know, and this guy to you. But I want to guys like Surei he's a Philly Guy, like sut listen, they've did when they drafted Tony Hanna. I want to go hard. So Shit Buttons, relax, you too, but you and you have day Shan Hall who look good. He got hurt last year. Might maybe he was the darling of the all of the preseason and then he came in and stepped then we had some injuries and had some decent games. So I just think on the defensive side it's all potential. I agree with you. We don't know what we have there, but you don't even have that on the offensive side. Well, who are you gonna here's throw in there. Here's what I want. I don't want anybody from the pack, twelve, big ten. You better draft every kid you can from Alabama, Lsu, Clemson. That's it. Don't give me this crap. Don't reach, like go chalk here, be smart. I agree. Yeah, like enough. If one of those big right receivers for you, Alabama or right Clemson is there, you right. You hear the rumors that they reached on art, think a white side because he's a Stanford kid and Lorietta high to stand for. Like. I hope that's not the case, but don't reach again. But you can't do it because you you've missed the last three couple drafts. couple. Yeah, been like ten years. They've missed. Well, no, they know. No say that, but but you've missed. In the last ten years they've had about five first round picks. The pinned out. Well, that's good in the NFL. My concern isn't my concern, as you miss even last year, maybe five. Right, we got our running back last year and we got dillard and you know, good, but we've missed on so many other picks, third and fourth round picks that can't see the field. That's where your bread and butter. That's when you met bones, right, that's your cheaper talent. It's going to stick around for a while and they just they missed on those guys. So don't screw up. Alle they relyve big on free agency to how he is a big free agency guys, which is it's good to fill patches, but I don't think you build your team through free agency. Got It through now you building through the draft. But freeze, see helps secondary. That's where they need help. You know the corner and you look at what we done recently and you know the secondary and Namdie, Carrie Williams. Yeah, we have been so good in that, you know, picking up those corners. So and and now there's talks of them going at their Byron Jones. Yeah, but that's added that the free agency are solid at the price these got a list there. I got some of the folks. What depends on what they do with a Shan to write like do you really like? I think once he gets, once they get, once he gets cleared, I think he's done. Well, he might. I could clear until October there. Yeah, they don't wait. But if they caught him, he's twenty five million against cap. You keep them. Me Sixteen. I almost keep them because of its potential to last year with them. Do you want twenty five million a dead money? That's a lot of day. There's there's a little more they can say, like the get up to the June first, like veteran cut bait. Can't cut him because he's injured. You can't cut an injured player. Well, when he does it clear. Does he still have to? Does that still dead, dead cat money yet even in because it because they restrict I'll be past guarantee that'll paste be passed. The trade doesn't at that point too right. Yeah, you're not. I think you're stuck with him for a year. I think you hope that you can. I arm for the season as we yeah, because then you get some of real you get some relief on the CAP. Right.

If he's on our our what he's one, but he's not going to willfully go to if he's coming back week six, you m you need him as a weapon. I mean, I hate to say it, you almost have to read him to riot active. Listen, you know, your boys gone, angilars gone. Tell Josie and it to go to hell and keep your mouth shut. He said he has two years left, one year with a team option for two thousand and twenty two. Yeah, yeah, so with cap it next year is not what it is. This year's twenty five million dead, Twenty Six, twenty six point one dead money. Yeah, Ouch, got nine point nine, Garret, I like the spreadsheets. spreadsheet this is yeah, I got the list. I got the list. School behind. I wasn't work. My printer ran out. It ain't got it. All the spare and I'm telling car that I use to buy things was canceled and we were waiting. That type on that typewriter never ran out of I I figured I'd write them down. It gave something to dough. To Excel is only a verb in your books. It right, and I do to. Yet are you want to run through some of the free agent you got over there. Like let's look at the cornerbacks. Cornerbacks, Marcus Peters, he's currently on the Ravens and just extended them. Now this, Oh, they did. Yeah, this all this be because it says it's I maybe said he wouldn't return to thee to the they just extended them. Byron Jones, Dallas, they think he's going to go to Houston. Ends of the money. Van Bell Safety in New Orleans. They think he'll go to Arizona. Then we have trey Wayne's Minnesota. They think he's going to go to Carolina. Chris Harris Jr, see this are we're gonna go on speculate. Yeah, it all comes down the money. I'm I'm just writing. I just wrote down what they said that they would do. I's just ever thinking he'll go to the West. All that they were looking at Byron Jones and Chris Harris. Yeah, I think you can get a lot of it too. I don't think you could do booth. Yeah, do you sign either mcloud? You do you bring back Rodney or Malcolm? I think I'd rather bring back Jenkins at a reasonable yeah, reason. Write. Nothing too expensive, like he wants. He wants big money. I just that camera for me. Yes, we just went on. Oh, out of frame, but well, boy, we probably been out afraid for like. I did see you. I see a Gorman on their lighting up your phone earlier. Yeah, that's my niece. Probably we can't see you. Probably better off that way, I think. Yeah, well, according to you know, the dull cove sports guy, we're ugly. We're gonna get into that. Maybe we'll save this lco sports dude. Yeah, we'll safe sometimes. Who is that better we're going? There's a showing up when you're screwing yet. Is that better? Yeah, it's fine, but there, because it's not showing on my screen yet. Three people, and two of them are here. You can see my my hat. That's good enough, I think. Do you purpose a swiping left and right while we're here? He's rocking DJ. We're all the way there. You got to bring back one of them. You got to bring back either Jenkins or mcloud, and and you're probably even though he's gonna cost more money, you're probably gonna be. You out of camera now, right. You know, it really depends on what he wants. Like I said, I give him a couple more years and he guarantee it. But I'm not giving them more money. He wants to be paid like ten to twelve million the year. He's not that player. He's not getting that much. He's not that player anymore. So you give him free. I guarantee him free it like five million a year, but guaranteed. Yeah, sure, I was gonna say three weeks, like thirty. All right, but you give him a bonus, roster bonus. And Is there noncap related? Yeah, like that. So his his base salaries five to right, six, seven a year. But I think I'm going to point with him. I'm okay, making a bus decision to I'm okay, well, that the same business decision that they made on Dawkins. No, he's not nearly talk I agree, but that's no people saying, Hollie, you can't make that same as. He's also, I feel like how many plays last year did you see the corners get burnt? There's no deep safety help. That's on him. Is it on himmer's epic because he was up on the wine, up on the line? He's playing another put them out. I just don't think he's the same player he was. Just my eyes and again my fan of viewpoint. Yeah, I just don't think it's same player was and I don't think your locker room it seems like there was a little bit of a disconnect there the last couple years. I don't know that. I think you're strong enough the leadership with fletch and with Brandon Graham and some of the other players that if you lose him it's not the end of the pish it up. Yeah, okay, I'm not advocating getting getting past it's about price with him. Yeah, it's just about think I'm dollar. That's that's where I'm at with it. Like I'm not as I like Malcolm, but what if he goes to another team? Dawkins left. I went and I bought a Dawkins Broncos Jersey. Yeah, I'm not doing that. JAKIN's leaves. Yeah, see you later. Thank you, good luck. Thank you. Obviously thinking ring of Honor Guy. I'll hold the door for you, act, not just slam. Honestly, like, I'm not gonna listen. Will kick you the ASS me. They don't let the door...

...here the way at his I don't need it. I think he comes back. He's from Orange, New Jersey. I think he settles his roots here. If he goes plays elsewhere, he comes back and settles here. He's done a lot for Philadelphia. He's very communities awesome that way. It's just it's a business decision. And you know Rod and Roddy mcloud seems not even the same thing. But if I can have him back cheap, okay. But if not, yeah, sign our sae and he's probably look, you're going to get him cheaper just because of his play in this injury history. Right. I think you definitely get him cheaper than Jenkins. Yeah, they need to do something back there. They do. Yes, and and I just was gone back and forth with a guy on facebook last night. They you the person that goes back on fourth from facebook. It's bill. Yesterday was Bill Bradley's seventy third birthday. Who Stop? The basketball player, of the football player, the Eagles Football Player number twenty eight. I always I never know if you're talking about the nick former Presidential Canada. Are you talking? Yeah, because I care about that and they reference Joey Jackson earlier. I'm just saying shoeless. The the history of the Eagles safeties from Bill Bradley all the way up to Malcolm Jenkins. We've had a pretty strong set of safeties over the good gates. Yeah, we've had some gaps here and there, but I mean, you know, we went from from Bill Bradley we had to Andrey waters. We had wes hopkins, like Seortich Pen Staate, Guy Watches exactly what it was good when he was here. He was he was our coats on the Michigan coaching staff. Now is it that we go yeah, Dawkins and we have Malcolm Jenkins. We had that that gap in between Dawkins and Jenkins, and I can't quite remember John Constantine, who's Yea tween print Michael we on Michael. I don't remember. WHO's between Bradley and and West Hopkins and Andrei waters. There's there's a g Gary Roy Nell, y'all. He was a receiver. Roy Now young. He was a cornerback, wasn't he? You know, I don't know. I was a kid. So, but we've had a good now, I am I think. I think we're now. Was the see? Was He safety? Okay, so we've had a good run of safeties and you had a better run of Time Forty Tho. You know. So you know we had Kurt Coleman. That's in between, I think. I think that where. Yeah, Quinton demps with his with his belly button tattoo. So you had a better run of tackles. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, trey running peters. Yeah, but it's you know, my point is lane, lane. It would be nice to try and keep that string going. And if we I don't know where the next one is coming from. Well, I think you move maddox the safety. I think that's one of the obvious things you do. And you've got to give Butler shot. Remember School, though. Yeah, I was gonna say you gotta Get botherer shot of play in safety. I mean I move on from Darby Right, Darby's at Darby. He's he's gone, probably again, unless he comes back cheap. He's a freak athlete. The guy can run, yea, but how many times do we see I'm running at just get hurt? I don't. Yeah, I think he can. He gets her same you can get him somewhere free agency. Yeah, and I'm letting him walk again. Comes out of price. It does, it does, and that's where that's where I think the wide receiver position is gonna be. Well, you bring back Cop Ron, right, I think. I think. I think they are because he's under contract. Right. I don't know what his cap hit it. I don't think it's a lot. I don't think his money's a lot. Now he's got. I think he's got. It's a can left over the next right, but it's like a cap friendly deal. I think they sign them too. So eight six next year, two thousand and twenty one would be ten point nine. Right. Not, that's not bad. Yeah, that's not you got. You got our thigal white side, right. I mean you keep him. Obviously you move on from bring back a Greg Wards Lash Antonio Brown, but he's at if he's your third or fourth for Scotic disappoint. Let's not. Let's not over value now. He's he's a nice slot guy. He can have a spot on the team. You know we need to or three targets a game. I'm good with. Can we trust that? Hallie Doug, whoever really has the say? Who's our who's our personnel guy? Now, since how you're right, what's but what's Barrowhen doing? And did you see the story? That's Scott mcclanning the red skins. Old GM has been a consultant with the Stud why are you? What makes you look at the REDSKINS and go whatever they're doing, I want to do that too, because they're doing something right. It's a copycat league, but you that's that's not don't want to copy count but I don't know if I have any faith that they can pick a good receiver. You just it's dumb luck at the end of the first round you take them there, because I think most of the League is going to say these are the guys need to have. As Matt melan available, he can pick us some rehiver. No thanks again. See I trash the Penn staters. Well, here's the you did go into the season...

...last year with arguably the best receiving corps and football right. Everybody thought they should have been amazing, and things didn't work out that way. You end up having a stronger running back corps than you did a receiver. Course, you know what things happen. You can't underestimate the impact losing the show and had on on that outfront's offense as a whole in the receiver crew as specifically. Well bringing having him back next year, provided he stays healthy. I think upgrades everybody on their in the Receiver Corp? I think yes, but I think, I think losing as long as they got on and agile are losing his mind. Well, Anglo heard a bad need to and you got to give him. They said that. You know, all right, fine, yeah, he got her, but he wasn't doing anything that. No, but you know, would have made a slight difference right in on the field. Well, the three of them combined, I think it would have been. Yeah, three of them hollow. Yeah, obviously. Yeah, and you need a backup quarterback to you do. Yeah, you know, you can't roll with a Sitar as sub film see back here. Who Cares? Honestly, we're so high he could reach down. Hears right that he couldn't be that of Fort Guy my age at back up. Come on, here's the thing that that said baffled me. Got Hurt. He got hurt once it but once he was bad. When he went out he was to back up quarterback. He comes back and he's not garment teeth the que. In fact, they didn't even get the backup. No, he didn't dress right. Right, so that that's no. Makes I move on from some and they's gone so high. One he's gone for two years. To be honest with the I draft a quarterback. Yeah, they that got't work out. They got kyle. All Otta they picked up up. But what they pick him in the knife round. Now he's talked about four shit, clion thorst all that. It was the guy that the giants drafted like third round, I think, two years ago, the one that got like the Dui come into practice or something. Oh Yeah, ok, yeah, so they they picked him up, like sounds promising. Week fourteen or week fifty, or actually it might have been after the season. That was like one of those option players for next year. So right now the only quarterback under contract is Carson. So you Demil your niece. It's gonna get caught up in New England. No, down in Jacksonville. You think they're gonna cut fulls? I think, Oh yeah, I think he's gone. He did they get and see all that money tool? I think they guarantee it was frontloaded. So I think they can move on. I mean, isn't Gardener Minshew, the Guy I don't know? You paid falls a lot of wrong good, but he looked like crappy. Yeah, I don't think he's gone. That I don't. That would be a standing I'm back here doesn't come back. We think. You see what happened in Jacksonville, right, and it makes me wonder. Marone stayed. They got rid of Coughlin. Yeah, so was fulls of Coughlin Guy or was he Marone Guy? That's what I think, that they're in lies. Your answer right. But if he was a comeback, oh go odd. I mean, I don't think you can do it. I love fine, you think he did. I can't hate the guy. I don't feel like I would hate for that move, because then it just effects whence? I don't think you. I think he finally escaped his shadow and got to say who also right. So, yeah, I don't think you can do it. I think he gets cutty retires. Honest, I don't think no, no, no, I don't think he's got his ring. He talked about retiring before he came back here. Yeah, but there's enough, Gott it, enough, get load of money now. There's enough teams. That is his kid. Okay, but does he want so teams that need him? Where you looking, San Diego? Does he want to pick his family up again, young family, and move them out there? She's from the West Coast, is she? Yeah, Tampa Bay. They's a quarterback. We played, he quarter he played in Arizona. Maybe he goes iris UN that's when he was the quarterback they pick. They I know they have married, but who's their back or marry? I'm sorry. Yeah, I was a sign. I don't think he's going as a backup, though. That's all I gets. Either gets a starting job or he retires. chargers. So that's might need a quarterback. Know anyone? If Tom Terrific takes off, I mean you imagine happy right, and he's a system quarterback. Yeast him off, and so all right, hypothetical. It's almost craziest hypothetical. He goes there, whins a super bowl. Is He hated here now? No, no, no, I don't. Is He disliked the little bit? No, no, now, you see, no, because we can, because we he didn't want to leave here. Yeah, it's the way I played out at everybody understood. But you don't think people get a little upset that he went there? No sign there when, I think if he were to suck, if you were to go to Dallas or, Oh yeah, New York. No, I don't think there's anything nick folds. Could he could do whatever. Touch my grandma, kill someone, I would say he's Sen powaface trump. Yeah, he could shoot somebody on broad street and still be right here in Philly with it, with it. Yeah, he could cut down the Frank Grizzo statue. He still be okay, and I'd be okay with that too, but he'd be fine. He'd be fine. Yeah, I think it might tweaks a little bit, but that will be like a go ahead. And Yeah, right off as right off it think a sunset, I think. If I heard it, I believe, really, really, but then I if fine. You know, hate the guy wants to play. So, yeah, he's...

...gone somewhere day and he's still young enough. He's thirty one. He's not old. Day I see I go the other way. I think he's if he wants. He gets cut. She doesn't get a starting job. I say he would, because that here's when he's done. Did he say you? I think you would live here. Yeah, he should never pay for anything. Yeah, I can have to eat everything, you know, would retire that added. None of these guys need to pay for anything. Like yeah, right, like that whole Super Bowl team could go out to dinner or for a beer anywhere in the city and not pay for no. No. My point is, when that came around, it was an athletes like didn't make a ton of money. Now these guys, you know what they say, for yourself. Yeah, the park. I believe it's started with the flyers. Find out here, Guis these. They should walk it again. I'll slits it, rents slits and I shot there beer of cheeker support leaves. Oh God, try Joe's beer. Way To lose weight. We're out here. We got like another like another ten ten minutes. So we cool with that. Keybo. No, papers are right. We gotta even just checked out a while ago. Yeah, we got some sexers action. The talk. I want to talk a little sexers. Sure, sure, Joe, well, practicing a well, how we met? We made at you. Well, for this, like really, he just so hated his finger to our ligament. Like you. It's a basketball play. There's nothing. Now I was going to say. He's probably the only thing. I was going to bring up his being sea. Going to play the Allstar game? Yeah, he better not. He's talking about come back next week. I that's what I was coming back point, because we saw it happened last year. I don't want that. I'm fine, PA. Sit The damn all. Start. Right, you've been there, you're done it. He's a starter but, like I said early, put a shoot on go wave to you a still get there and thing on your resume. It still goes on your resume that you were starter in the Allstar game. You just didn't play. So what he's think is linkedin profile. You know when you're when it goes to talking about hall of fame in this and that, you know he still has that one as resume. The NBA is also the most overrated hall of fame. I mean, you listen to these and our everybody's a future hall of it. You Kevin Harlan's his future. Hardly gave very excited. He's an asshole. I could do without him. And Doris Burke, both of them just there's just crying. Why? Because he because he used to and man said Notre Dame Games. You say Dars behinds on me. I think, yeah, Courche, the words. They just both they both overplay that. They both do the future hall of fame like every time and it's just like enough, like do we really need to do that? Maybe the only maybe superstars in the League dars this, but no, this is no other. This is other best sport. Throws out no future whole famer. But as much as they think about is the talent in the MBIT NBA right, it's first the best talent ever. Who? I will put that out there, Mann, the hot take from this kid. That's a bait. WHO's what? What generations better? Listen, my generation is better. Talent was. You look at those s basketball teas as mailmen. No, dude, but you look at those team of Bar Muenders. As much as I hate a celtics in the Lakers, I think the Lakers and Celtics were both. That's Times six hall. That's a one. That's two teams. You named bold. Okay, I mean the sixers, every tall the whole starting five on the six or eighty three team is in the hall of fame. A whole start in five. The talent. You went way out on a live on this one. That's fine. It's fine to tell and the NBA right now, listen, is a great game and I love watching probably the most town you've ever seen. It's exciting, but it's also watered down. You have a lot of really bad teams to you have a lot of ts. There's not a lot. There's not not balance, there's not go there's got guys like Mark El faults in order than that, like getting a click at all points a game. You say the S. Right. When I think of the S, I just think of the Celtics Lakers every year in the finals. Yeah, but you want to talk about balance if that's your finals matchup every now the sixers made four finals. You look at those Piston teams, you just say that you got you Golden State and yeah, CLEVELAND, until look at the laughs how great the bulls were. That Bulls team won fifty games, I think, three years in a row before they finally got past Detroit. That you know, it's tough and they were loaded to I mean, I don't know. I don't want to say that. I just think the League is watered down because there's so many teams, right, and that's that's the problem with too many teams. Yeah, and it brings up players that don't you know. Twenty years ago, players are whenever they expanded to the current number of teams. Ten years prior to that, that year, but a lot of years that are today. Games change to the yeah, lack of Deef the game. You go an NBA game nowadays, though, you're going to watch about three to five superstars on either team like back in the S. not only don't get that every night. Who's your superstar in the Detroit Pistons Right now? You ve one, let alone three to four. You could make an argument for your going to see Derek rose, but come on, who's a super comic? ACRAMENTO kings? Future...

...six or Derek rows? Yeah, I hope, I hope, I like, I would love them. And Yeah, you've got some teams that are chalk full of super like you got the rockets and the sixers and but you got some really bad team. I mean the next world. There are bullets, the bullets, the wizards are terrible, Bradley be all, though, Hornets are terrible. The magic or terrible. You Magic's playoffs pretty well for whatever reason. But I mean the nets aren't terrible there. That's I mean. Yea Kyrier and Kevin during wants out. They're gonna be terrible real soon. No, they're not. Next year they're going to win the east. I read it's kind of going to be there still. Yeah, Kyrie and Katy you're going to win the east next year. M I don't know about that. Yeah, they will. Katie's going to be thirty four next year. You know. You know Kyrie's not the same player. Was Katie not the best, second best player in absolutely? Yes, absolutely, he'll probably come back top five. Tours Achilles, I know, the hardest injury to come back from. It takes two years a COMT from we'll see, but I think Katie and Kye are going to be that's it starts. Team. There's a verts verts, a good role player. Jared Allen's off terrible. He's all right, be fine. Well, there's there's just a lot of bad teams. Do there's some good teams. To the phone. There's bad teams in every league and every year. I agree, but I just think this is you the best talent. Like James Harden is the best ISO scory you'll probably ever see. I told you before generation superlatives. You gotta want the use of superlative my generation. He's actually high school. You rallify it that way, qualify that way and your generous here. Here's the thing with harden. Right like I love watching hard he's averaging over thirty five points by right right, but I do whens that ever been done before, for I think Jordan did it when I think Jordan average thirty four and like eighty eight or right still and have over thirty five. Here's these fifty two a year. Oh my God. Don't get me position. But here's the thing, though. It was a different game in that I think Allen Iverson changed the conscious of the NBA. We're superstars. Weren't afraid to Jack Thirty shots. Before that you didn't have Michael. Jordan got his thirty, but he got it on eighteen shots. Harden has no problem with up thirty five shot. I never saw a shot at it like yeah, Kobe had no problem butting up thirty five shot there. There's a lot of players that wouldn't do that. Larry Bird didn't do that. You know Jordan didn't do that. I just think it's it's a different game. It's hard to compare them, but what he does is amazing. But that drop step is a walk, it's a wall. It is it's a little call and call it. They don't call it. It cheapens the game. I don't kills me. I'm not a rough yeah, how's the Richardson. Injury gonna hurt this team. It already is. It is. You saw they played the other night. He's out ride three weeks. Yeah, we all star break baked in there, so he should be, you know. Yeah, hopefully he gets back. Tray deadline. You're right, after the all star. I think that really February. That gives them more of a push to go get dark cruise. Yeah, I got to cost you a lot and rose. You say he give them a contract. Give them like Zaire and Eric or something. Shakes. I are we want, you know, talk about wasted picks. Give their later picks like a round skin, abouts a year. But he was a later pick, later pick. You haven't been in the top fifteen a long time. If you're not a top ten pick in the NBA, you're like ter miss. It's a TI style. Yeah, got a kid that can play. Yeah, and honestly, you got a couple one time. I don't trade him and, weirdly enough, I don't treade for con either. He's become a he's becoming a good six man. Now you're now, you're getting his world as you're give me the forty percent from three. He stinks on defense. Hold on as your tea doesn't really create his own shot. He needs other guys to do it. You would Jj guy, hold on, of course you, Jj Gud I. Don't talk about defense and fir kids. Jj Reddick back. I don't know that you can get them throw the CAP, but I'm not saying breaking them back. I'll just say don't have her fur cap for what he goes or not play. He's your seventh if you get one more guy for the bench and he's your seventh or eighth guy. Okay, I can live with that. I can't live with him being six men off the me. Know, he's been a necessity of the lineup to know. Yeah, and some other guys are jam at James and has has disappeared for the most part, and not Mike Scott say relied on dunk. Yeah, they he had really thought he has played hugere yeah, they thought he was going to be there. There six man, but he stinks. He stinks, he can't. And do you move out Horford? No, he's average seven points. He stinks. I know, but you've got him to beat Milwaukee. You got him for the playoffs. Doesn't matter. Now Wally show up. He'll show up. I hope. I hope. I mean I don't think they're going to move them. I don't think already, because they invested too much in them. But I don't know. He's been terrible to he's Robin was blind. Well, I maybe he's just laying low during a regular so he's now who needs to show. This is him all, this is him. Nah, you need him to show up in the playoffs. I know that players don't really give it. I...

...mean rumor says that, like they don't really give go a hundred percent in a regular season. The playoffs they really like turn it on. There's a switch. I don't know if this is really horse or not, but I'm concerned. I'm very concerned. Yeah, a big deal you. Yeah, contract. I'm very concerned, right, because it's some point, if you do move on from you're going to get garbage back. I don't know what his trade value is. It's the only problem. Yeah. Yeah, so, therefore, you're going to be forced to keep him. Yeah, we'll see. I know that there is. It's a salary dumping. I know that son will tell you over there, and I agree with him. You know who, they should have figured out a way to make it work. Is that Butler? Oh, absolutely, howbod he's done by Andy. He they were seven or eight seat now. He wanted his own team, though. He was never coming back. I know he wasn't, but you was never coming back. I know he wanted his own team. I know he's a diva. I wanted him back. I would understands high would have figured out a way to live with the game, because he's got the dog and I love that you have right now, because our best part of if he's got that level of competitive this was our best use our best plays. Yeah, you're not, as they've been saying. You don't have a closure on the team. No, he's a closer. But going back to my hot take, I know that there's somebody out there that agrees with me. I'm sure that are. I mean I probably somebody around like two, twenty five is. I'm just saying, like, there's gotta be somebody's more a lot of games, Luke A, Dang, it's is a pleasure to watch. It's amazingness doing. I love watching NBA Games. Are Sometimes can't Miss Rings or Kawhi. Leonard is insane. He's ridiculous. Yeah, that you've never seen that sometimes in the NBA. I agree. You can't really compare them to pay a ring. What this we your third we can't compare stuff carry to pass. Yeah, right, three years. You can't compare Kauai. You can't compare you. I guess you could compare Lebron, the pass players. Maybe Jordan, Kobe, you can compare to Jordan, but there's a lot of stars out there that you can't compare because it's the first time you've ever seen this level of talent. Steph Clay, I just think it's Kauai. I think it's some uniqueness. Kevin, Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant, Kyrite? Who's who it was? Who Shot Better? Who's had better handles in the NBA than Quai Kyrie? You've never seen somebody. I mean, that's right now. You gotta Slow Down, magic, steal peep marvage. Yeah, I also think Thomas. Yeah, I say Thomas. That's the sound like an old guy like your dad. But I again, the game was different. Fact that where I watched old games. I've watched you guys runs days. You see one game or five minute clip. I want a career. I watched well games. These guys comparison to Kyri are re. Actually, I think these guys were expected to play both sides. Right. They're expected to play defense back in the day. Today, like harden, doesn't doesn't see a shot. He doesn't like harden, they won't play a liquor. The flocks down the great I'll give you that. But like Leonor staph to one not be honest, I don't even mentioned you honest. Sorry, I know fire like I gotta go back to we keep forgetting the rules. The game has changed so much. Are They can control that? Do you know? You're not allowed a hand check anymore? You used to be a ready hand check. True, you can't breathe on certain players or it's a fat, but I'm just nobody stops you from going down the lane. Nobody gets knocked to the floor, and by then I try to down you. Imagine what I really would do in today's game. Oh, without the light it up. He'd light it up, because you can't. He'd win more MVP's, for sure. Yeah, but you couldn't stop his speed. You couldn't yeah him. Yeah, you can hand check on Iverson. Yeah, I mean they're there dirty. You have to remember in context you shot the two different errors, the three different whatever errors. You're comparing how different the game is today from from whenever it is. It's a hard and it's not just basketball, it's football too. Well, yeah, I'm not really comparing that part. I'm just saying the talent town alone, you never seen and the rules changes lends itself to the talent. Well, right, but I think you've but there's difference between rules and talent. Well, your rules have changed to right, your big guys shoot now. Didn't happen thirty years ago. Well, you. I saw an interview. He was on sixty minutes with Michael Jordan and he said, and it was Morley safer. I don't know if it was him or ED Bradley. I forget who was but bill Bradley. But then we but I just didn't answer prominent sixty minutes. I better shut up. Jordan. Jordan was explaining how he could use a hand check to direct an offensive player where he wanted him to go. Sure, okay, use a hand check to direct a player where Jordan wanted that player to go, because he was pushing him to the help or he was taking him out of his comfort zone. He was getting them off his spot, whatever he was doing with the handshuck. You can't do that anymore. Shaving Swe stop. Kevan. You Watch basketball, you follow I was going...

...to say like, oh, sorry, I was going to say on the other end it's like it's a lot harder to play defense too, so you got to be more exactly, you got to go. That's a great point, a great and they were screaming back then to but it's way more now. That's so much faster. Know about that. Game is so much faster now and it's like big men. They just can't like camping to paint anymore. They at there's a three second rule. You weren't allowed to what he said? They neither saying you gotta, can't, you can't come out in the lane. Yeah, I will give you. The speed of the game is faster today. I'll give you that. You agree with the agree with my hot taker now I agree. It's a generation said earlier. Thank you. Know, find another twenty something, young twenty something there. It's to he's adamantly opposed what you said. I'm in the middle. I see your point. I'm not at see and I'm not arguing that there's not there. There's a ton of talent. I just when you get that defititive statement that it's the best talent they ever Sammer. Yeah, dude, maybe got that. You've ever seen? I'll keep yeah, that old games. It is, some of them. Yes, you launched old games, but you haven't watched careers. What's all players? I've watched playoff games are the most important games of a career. Right, some of them are. They're tough to watch. It's very slow. All right, speaking of tough to watch, we had only above always made a few moves. We want to talk about that before we get out of here. What did they do? Mind, we got nothing, nothing at all. What else starting? You'll walker, you're storing. Might listen. Fine, you got some call up guys for the bench. You know when you bring them up for me. These guys were good, though. They went to the playoffs with the pirates. I don't know. I don't know why they're trying to rebuild the part. I don't get it. Like three years ago, like listen, fine, yeah, I don't know. They've been a disappoint. They're all they're all touches boys, though, with cutching loves. These dudes great, great, yeah, that's fair build the team around on cut down sign of cutching is an addition automatically by coming back. But you know what, though, you still haven't addressed Efflyn and Velaska as being three or two fists of your yeah, rotation, and you still need to be third base. You still need a bullpen to and third base. Well, yeah, look like Scott Kinger. He's gonna be a third base. I mean if they're. If they don't, and another thing, they're not given real mutos money. No, well, they'll get it. But they said this is more. This is the exercise. I think they pay him. I hope better. They're going to pay the just. This is the arbitrary your US ray and Multoe said this wasn't against the film. Yeah, I know, I heard the interview. Against the process. I all the right thing whatever. Yeah, right, and even then, and you can go through arbitration, get your number and then still sign him like. I think that. I think that's what ultimately they're trying to what's the floor? Let's see what they tell us and then I start from right. I don't they can't let him walk. They let him walk, then the whole Harper signing is like it's wist. Yeah, if you let real Muta go and you don't build more around Harper, than you wasted Harper's career. Yeah, I agree. Yeah, I don't think Scott worse when that happened either. I really hope they don't waste another year of Harper Day. They got to get pitch. It's win now. There's no picture, there's nothing to get any working again. You gotta hope this kid comes up. You gonna hope power turns it. You'll probably make a trade or two. It comes season time point when you're making trades, though. Yeah, it's like it's like sex. It's not straining starters that. It's more of the bull. Yeah, but why did you? But you I can. You got two starters. Popen is so thin. They have like five relievers. Well, you got some guys that are come. They don't lose your clothes. was are a ners? You're going to rely on the right again. Is Back from injury. Yeah, I think it's going to be to CA. Yeah, I think he could be the closer, but might be your setup guy. He might be nervous. Has Proven that he could close. I mean he's also pose days. The lefty they just signed that was like a Arianna Hunter Mild. Now they the week before thorn. No, no, no, left. It was. It was a Dominican Kid, I think. Okay, I think I left. You think about Red's I think system, but he's probably a minor league to start. Is Coming off the Tommy John too, though, or something something. He might have been. Yes, the reason he's there. Yeah, why did you go get Kike kickled in sign for a lot with twins? Why don't you go to Kykle Hey? He's a Boris. Guys. Did he break the bank? He Breaks Bank. Now I'm trying to think the at that Kaikel player, the Houston Guy, played for Houston during their was it quick on Houston for this the world seriously, and he came out comologize. Yeah, he actually apologize. Yeah, he was the only one that actually acknowledged our who. We did something. All the white baseball sticks. I love. I like baseball. It's what do you think about baseball? Over their kids? Sometimes it's fun when they hit home runs, it's fun. Yeah, good, right, and when they're good, that's fair, main line. When they like, if they don't make to pay off, it's aw...

Cuz the worst team and you think and you like watch all these other teens who keep losing. It's like losing and another team wins, and then you lose and another team wins. Keeps going on in a loop, vicious cycle. Yeah, you got anything, Andrew? No, okay, all right, well, that that's seat. That's what more you know, I yeah, and that's the generation you got to be concerned with. Yeah, you're losing those guys. And now with all this robotic reviewing, now they're like taking umpires out of the game. Right there. You see what they're doing in spring training. They're the only thing umpires are going to do now is called balls and strikes, which is probably what they're the worst. It does. Yeah, yeah, but it's also part of the charm of the game. Yeah, I mean, you little one. Yeah, you want that, you know. You know what. And speaking of the charm of the game, you don't see the arguments anymore, that much, I should say, between a manager and an umpire, because there's nothing to argue. It goes on replay, and that was always fun to watch. An Earl Weaver, Tony Larussa, Bobby Cox, Bobby Cox, those guys arguing toe to toe with an umpire. He gave Kapler's your yea, all those muscles. Don't remember, do I'm a little upset. You know it that to fir Sir Right, they would pick up a base or they would kick dirt on the UMPIRES feet. That, you know, that was fun to watch that. See where there's who their first basement? Right they oh, they just signed Darren rough out there ar and giants. I think he hits something like eighty home runs in Japan over the least. Yeah, yeah, he's always I heard he was killing an in Japan or heard out there he might pop twenty home runs. Yeah, Hey, brow the Bay there, Abro prof all right, any predictions of the Royal Rumble? Boys? Who's going to win the Work Royal Rumble? That's how is that? This weekend the hulkster joins the Animal Ye deal, it's usually the week before the Super Bowl. Yeah, okay, where's that? I have no idea. It wasn't Philly a couple years ago. Yeah, I went a couple of years ago. You went me B yeah, but he doesn't really followed anymore. Haven't been Nina. I've followed it or been anything. Not following much anymore. Non We kind of lost Monday night football. We're not. He'd Rather Watch football. They he's still in that a night row. Yeah, wow, good for him. Yeah, well, hopefully he doesn't grow up to be forty year old guy walking around with a belt over his shoulder. He will not. That's it. Do we do? We want to? I was getting ready to close out. Kind of, kind of, let's say that. For No, he's well, he's hiding under the Vale of charity. So listen, I'm sure he's got a chair of sale. But the guy dressing up like a, you know, road warrior at forty five years old, you know, slamming us for having a lousy podcast. The seventy twitter followers, see, hundred and seventy. One one of them's me. Now he could I had right. We that. I don't think where that lousy? No, I don't think we're lousy, but then, you know, we could have. We could believe friend lousing in a charming way. Listen, I realize. I think I think he meant lousy as like bad podcast show. Oh Yay, no, not flaying. No, yeah, don't go philly. Good this guy. I just enjoy that. He you know, he told me. What did he say? I ate my booker's like he's o the pickers and you picked your buttons, iff your fingers. You guys know me well enough. Is that gonna win inst like you were in tears. Yes, you were. You were wellbehaved for the most part. I miss kept it together. I tried. Yeah, Crighton. Privately, dn be in said it wasn't so great for the brand. Okay, so we'll leave the guy all. I've got some things turned it into my head that maybe we can tell he pipes up again figure something out with this. Honestly, though, he listen, here's the thing. We've seen. She we're gonna go another forty five minutes. We've seen short of the on a flame pod can. We've seen Sean young with the face pain and the the pads, and I've always contended you're not going in. You don't need to our shoulder pads to a game. And then this guy is a cheap knockoff of Sean Young, the Bull, but I didn't really care for and what are you doing? Like you say, it's not about you. You're the one mugging for the camera, paint in your face. I'm sure he's a mum or two or whatever. He does they watch you hit a mum or sitting next to you? All right, well, that he's a nice mommer, whatever he does. Look, what are you doing that? You need to dress up and you say it's not about you, while when you paint your face and wear a costume it is about you. Look at me. And if he wants to come in, I will have Halloween candy ready for it. Like I said, just make sure an adult in his life checks the bags. He's no, you know nothing there. Don't give him fruit with razors in it. Odd, well on you, if you said your PC.

I think so. He could dread a little bit physical to write kind of, did he? Or did you, Conna?
