We're going to talk a little eagles, talk some all the stuff, but we're always we all you know, we're Eagle centric. So we'll start off with some eagles and whether they're playing football or not playing football or whatever. Somehow the eagles always work their way into the conversation, be it as a team or an individual player, and this week it happens to be as an individual player. I mean our man D Jack, number ten, tweeted out some things or instagram. I'm sorry. Yeah, yeah, we're I'm depended on you to keep the social media business straightened out or handle that end. Yeah, yeah, he to say he caused an uproar, I think would be an understatement because it's been there. You know, it came out what three days ago, two days ago, and it's still a hot topic on talk radio. Yeah, you know, I'm nobody really is sure what his intentions were. The Eagles have said that they've talked to him a few times trying to figure that out, and if you listen to talk radio, it doesn't sound like anybody's really sure what his intentions were, I guess, other than trying to show some support for the black community. Not I'm not sure. I didn't read I'm not on Instagram, so I didn't read his quotes and they were taken down. Whatever it was that he quoted. I did see one thing that that abouts trying to start hit they're trying to start world war three. How he would do it or something right there would have told me that it was a false, inaccurate quote coming from Hitler, you know, because they weren't even through World War Two yet, let alone starting world war three. So I'm I'm not sure. You know, that's that's kind of my my weak part. They're not not being entirely sure what was all said and done, just going by what I've heard on talk radio so far. But yeah, he definitely calls the firestorm. And the thing, the one thing that does stand out to me is the God as signs your paycheck and the guy that signed you to a contract are both Jewish. So I would I would, you know, be wary of what I said about that, Lucy. That's missing. Yeah, you definitely, he's definitely got some some some spleen in the do you know that? That's kind of where I stand. That the biggest thing I take from that is the got to signs your paycheck and the God that hired you, you know, signed you to a contract, are both Jewish. Why? You know? What do you what is your your Nti Your Ntier? What are your goals? Here? What are you trying to accomplish? Why are you risking up setting the apple cart and and you know, a nice paycheck that you're getting? I was I was blown away by when I saw that on I think I first saw it on twitter because we were talking about it on there, and I saw it on instagram. When I look back on his story, he got called out for it...

...and stuff. So he was putting stuff on his story about it big time. I'm boggling. I mean when is it ever Okay Hitler or something that related to Hitler? Yeah, I did. You move it to the seat for yeah, you're fading in an Aliment and now. All right, I'll be back. Basically, he put his foot in his mouth. Wait for his mouth. You know, I know sports players today all field that they need to voice their opinion, which is fine. You know, Jordan didn't he played ball and that's what he did. Now today, you know these guys. You know I, like I notice, is Dj's boy and all, but like Lebron, like he really should keep his mouth shut. You got a guy who's making as much money as he's making. Where's his shoes made? How much are the people that get paid to make those shoes. But he got nothing to say about that because they're writing him like he's writing him big ass checks. Right, but he but he wants to be socially, you know, cognizant and you know all that. Well, where's your integrity, they're chief where's your integrity that? Because he's making money off of off of said people that, basically it's like a third world contrary the workers, not China in general, because you know China's I have obviously superpower. But you know, in the grand scheme of things, he's making a ton of money off the backs of people who are getting paid pennies to buy two hundred, two, hundred and fifty hour shoes. Dj What to Fifty Bron bronze? Right, it depends what. They're all suits as around two hundred two, okay, so right, so you know, and they're making zero off of that. So it's like, you know, that's all cool, being social justice and all that, but you know, when you are making money, it's a different story. Yeah, all that said, athletes still have a right to an opinion. Sure they they are allowed, you know, their citizens of the well, maybe not all. If you're a citizen of the United States, you. You have a right to be able to speak out. You know, whatever, it is just the same as a regular Schmo. Joe Joe Schmo is allowed to speak out. They are making a ton of money. I guess maybe you should not choose choose your live at a glass. Yeah, you should choose your what you just what you choose to speak out on. Maybe you could be a little more cognizant of that, especially when everything you do is talked about. Yes, if you're yeah, if you're a Lebron James to, yeah, you, you athlete, and these athletes, everything don't matter. You're the long snapper. Yeah, all, all of us. We can say whatever it is that we're going to say, and not many more than us. We're I hear about it. Well, the all, the what? Yeah, well, the seven, seven viewers. Right, but when, when you are an internationally recognized, famous athlete making hundreds of millions of dollars? Yeah, you have a much bigger platform with millions of followers. Right, million of followers. Right, you're right. With you know, that's not just Lebron to, it's all. Keep it, keeping silence. The whole MBA is silent. With that whole China thing. Every sport. Yeah, but I can the money. Going back to the whole the Shawn Situation. Now they have a dilemma on their hands. What to do with them. They're not going to do nothing with them, I don't think. I think they're going to spank his hand. I think at the most will suspend them, I may because, all right, so let's go back, rewind. You know where I'm going. Yeah, cooper, right, Riley, so you can't, he can't fire you. If you don't cut cooper, you can't come right, you can't caught here. And that's the that's fine. That and that's totally fine. I'm heard. I heard on the radio earlier this week and tractually it would be very difficult to cut them because of they cout them the car bunch of money. Eighty yeah, they be eating that. Yeah, he's he's already making close to three million, I think, guaranteed this year. I think if they were to caught him, it's upwards close to five. Okay. So, yeah, and and what are you going to get? Six Games out of them? But his bonus? You mean something like that? I thought I didn't get. He got you got three years, thirty million, three years thirty million? Yeah, pretty sure. I don't know thinking I think I know it was three years, but I don't know pay wise, and this is your too. So they did he get frontloaded that much? He may ourn't know how much was guarantee. I don't really know the details, but he has a lot of guaranteed money. I know that. So, yeah, they it calls them to caught them, and I don't think they've called him, but I think they'll try to find ways to...

...discipline him, either suspend them or make him you know, don't well, honey, whatever they did the Cook, who is what? Yeah, well, they what they did the Cooper is, they sent him down to Florida, right, for some sensitivity tree or something parents. I don't think he missed the game, though. Now he didn't, right, I didn't miss anything and he was caught because of a lack of production. Well, yeah, he's not a cause his mouth. But you know, I don't know how much that really worked. But if they're going to do the same thing with Jackson, I don't know if it's you know, if it's just good for pr or is it actual well, they've made him apologize. Hm, did you see the apology? Yeah, I heard the first one wasn't all that. The second one, the second, the second one, he had some definitely had somebody writing out, yeah, form and they're going to send them to whatever for sensitivity training, right, lack of a better term, sensitivity training. Right. He may have to volunteer somewhere, you know, for a few hours to do this that, and I think eventually it's just going to blow over and it's done, and it's done. Yeah, and it's you know, it's time to move on. Yeah, it. I mean, I we were talking about today, I mean me and you, and you know, I hate to say this, but once the season starts and he starts doing this thing, you know, hmm, people tend to forget about it. And now they're right. I mean, you know, it's same thing happened with Riley Cooper. Once he started or in touch, the first game back, there was a cooper chant. HMM. Yeah, so, I mean he actually had a good year, though. Yeah, I did. Yes, is kind of yeah. Yeah, so, I mean it's a shame. I mean this thing, you know, once these guys start playing at their best stabilities and doing what they do best, people forget and that's a shame. Well, sometimes you got to look forward and keep stay taking in the room right. Yeah, I think that's what's a lot what's going on to when today he's right. You know what's happening aside, out in the society, where everyone's too busy looking in a rear view and not realizing what they got in front of it. M Yes, key vot, do you have anything you'd like to weigh in on with this subjector I think it was idiotic to stay saying it. I mean, just keep her pains, especially if you know it's going to like. How do you not? Do you not know that's going to like kind of write? Well, people fel feathers. Yeah, I think your face, especially your owner's, feather, exactly. It's like. I mean we all have stupid opinions. We always say things like in private. If you're going to say something that controversial, I think he's a surprise to yourself and I think the showing, you know, I don't think he's you know about all that. And with all that, I think he just made. You just made a stupid mistake. Yeah, we all do that. And the other thing about it, he's not a two thousand and twenty one year old kid. He's a thirty three year old, right fully grown, hopefully fully developed man, and I mean that mentally, that he would think twice about sending that after I hit the send button. Let me read this one more time before I hit the send. But that's the problem with social media, right, because once get out there right, you ain't getting beds and and I there's no Fishhawk and I'm sure you've said the same to your kids. I always said the DJ and Andrew, if you can't show it to your mother or me, yeah, don't send it and don't retweet it or whatever, just just don't if you can't sell it to either one of us. I would say I told that the aunt when and people were looking at them for school, for college, you know, baseball and track. I said, Dude, you can't be putting pictures of you know, you guys back, you know CCPA throwing, you know natural lights back right. I said you can't have their pictures like that on your stuff because and in those schools today are looking man and pay, are looking employers for social jobs. Yeah, yeah, that's why I laughed, because now I know, if you've noticed this, especially people like our hd people, are going by like their first name in the middle name instead of their real names. I see that on facebook. Yeah, well, it's because I think people think and it's that's more had to do it. Work stuff every if you want to put something on there, it's yeah, every case of that I've seen it's been a woman. A lot of its women. Yes, I don't understand that. Love it's but whatever. Yeah, now of something it's Jill, Theresa. It's like yeah, like the first couple times I saw it, I'm like wait a second, what who is? And I've seen a picture. I'm like, okay, I know who this say is, but what's what the name change, you know, all of a sudden, and it's been going on for I don't know, a month, maybe two months, and I never understood it. And then I finally ask somebody. I forget who I ask. I finally amm like what's going on? Yeah, with these people using their middle name all of a sudden on facebook, and they're like at they're trying to camouflage them. So, yeah, I don't know if it's like a trend or Yep, but you still have your picture up in your profile. All right, I don't understand that, but so bit another interesting thing that came out with the eagles this week was the regarding tickets your for season ticket holders.

My brother got one, Jim got one. It was an email saying that you had the option to defer your tickets this year to next year. You won't be penalized, you won't be you know, you won't lose your seat, nothing like that. Any money that you have already put towards this year will be credited to next year's or you can have a refund. They give the option for the refund. I don't I don't know what your situation situation is with the Philly baseball and general. Done anything like this. Still waiting for my money. That's your Dick. I asked for it. The girl was like, you know, nineteen different ways of Oh, we can, you know, if you keep it as fine, we just roll it right over. And then I'm like, you know, I'll take it like it's a lie. Now, like I think we know right well, there's no fans. They're right, literally that they are. We said no fans. So, you know, I'm like, I'll take my thirty five hundred and I'll put it in the CD and make a few hours because that's all they're going to do, right, you know, and they're they're thirty, five, hundred times how many seasons? Second holders. They've got millions. Yeah, they're going to throw that thing at yours. Right, they're going to throw it into something making ten percent. You know, if I'm lucky, I'll make too. And and that's the thing that that always cracks me up is how they ask for playoff money before or it's mathematically yeah, garry t'g're going to be in the playoffs, and it's because that's a day want to make. Yeah, they want to make their money July, July for the phillies. Yeah, wow, like, oh, nine time where we were in the playoffs. Are there? Yeah, they would hit you up with the like July twenty seven or something. It was like, you know, are you know? And the money? Yeah, because I got four tickets. Yeah, you know, it's like basically is almost as much as when I pay for the full season. It's like, damn, yeah, really dirty. I don't know. Oh, yeah, they make you do every series or just the first, and I know you gotta buy at all. We're really yeah, the world series through, that's insane. The rough that is insane and the gay. I mean I think the world series games were like two tis fine nuts, like to something a ticket. Oh my God. So like one world series game. I think it was like in no, wait, I think it was. I think the we went to about game five, I think, and you know that was like eight hundred bucks for the one game, for the four for tickets. Hey, don't your ball. Yeah, it was like two hundred. Might have been two hundred and twenty five. I'll have to look. I'll to take a peek at at crazy. I thought they would in just so the NLDS first. You now that gets crazy. You got paid all they don't. Wait, they don't do it with the Eagles for a playoff, right? I don't know. Don't think they do. My brother gets the tickets every chance through what Mu Were gonna Jim? She's seven of my tie or POPs lemonade beat or something. I'm not sure what they do with the eagles. If you pay game by game or each round. I'm I'm not sure. If I had to say, I would say they make you pay game by game. They do a game by game, the round by round, right, said the vision. Right, it makes sense. Yeah, yeah, and and and any other thing is with the playoff money. If they don't make the playoffs, they say no, refine, will put it towards. No, I don't want to pourge to put towards the next year. Give me my money back so I can make interest off it. I don't want you make an interest off my money. I'll make interest off my money. They as mail the sounds. Oh, yeah, they make it. Yes, we'll take care of it. Yeah, either do nothing next year. You same seats every exactly to be no questions. You won't even get it. You won't even get invoice from us. Right, right, Kat Ho, Shit, you already got my money. Already got the money. Why? What I needed in for? You got my cash. So I'm just curious as to now I talk to my brother last night. He's going to be seventy one at the start of the season. He's got an a FIB situation with his heart. I have asthma, I've Crown's disease. I have a blood clot in my left calf that'll never go away. You're old. Yeah, just call what it is. Yeah, so whipper snapper. He he isn't comfortable going down and he flat out said I'm not going, he said, but I wanted to run it by you first. He said, if you wanted a ticket, I would go ahead and buy a ticket and then just sell the other ticket and you can take one of the two. And I toyed with the idea of just keeping the tickets and then just trying to sell them. But he brought up the good point, that's, if there's a market, there may not be a market people that want to buy the tickets. Yeah, you know, people are definitely getting sour yeah, well, sports, yes, in general, yes, period. Yeah, with some of the stuff that's going right. Right. So he he said, I'm not going to go. If you want the ticket, fine, but I'm not going. And I thought about it. I said it's not worth it.

...and WHO's to say? You know, in the middle of November they don't shut the season down anyway. MMM, and then you're stuck. What are you going to do? Yea, what are you going to do with a ticket? You're not going to be able to sell them, obviously, because there's no season left. And now you're stuck with the ticket that you bought that you know you're out the money. Of course. I probably I'm guessing they would say, yes, we will pro rate the money till next year, but that's just it's just a big hassle on as a bunch of bullshit and I just I wouldn't want it to have to deal with it. So we decided to defer to next year, that we're not going to use our tickets, and I'm curious. Jim still kind of on the fence about what he's going to what he's going to do. We have until July fifteen, which is this Wednesday, and I'm just curious to you know what most people are going to do. Now they're obviously not going to have a hundred percent capacity for each game. So there banking on people saying though, that's that. They're banking on people saying no. Right, there, right, anking on but what happens if fifty fivezero people say no, I want to go? You're right, they're banking on people saying no. But what happens if right and people fly and you're like there's going to be a ton of people that those fans are rabbi? They're like yes, yeah, I don't care, I'm going right. And what if you get into the situation like Baltimore just announced where, if there are fans, it's only going to be fourteen thousand. Were team. So you know who, just who? Like we said on a previous show, who gets to decide who gets to go and who does it right? Well, my there's more than fourteen thousand season ticket holders right now. Brother thinks that what they may do is there. What they're going to do is they're going to wait to see how many people from meat section are saying they're going to go and try and do something with that, or they're going to say, you have you go this week, but not this week. They alternates Magule. But what if you get a Dallas Scheme? I know you can't go, but then you get, know, you get Cleveland next week. Right now? Cool, right, yes, it's I don't want to have to make that decision. That took it office. If I'm working in the ticket office, I'm like trying to find a corner to hide in because I don't want to have to make that kind of a decision. It's a logistical nightmare. It is a logistical nightmare, absolutely, and I've been saying that all along. Between having the space, I mean I'm not six feet from Dj right now. Okay, yeah. So now, is that mean like a phillies game? So we've all been the PHILLIES Games. Says that mean like in my seats? Is that mean I can sit in my first seat, where I sit, and then the person can sit in the fourth seat because two, three. Yeah, yeah, you know. I mean. So now. So what's that? So it was. What would that mean? To just say if the PHILLIES had it? Says that mean that I can only take take advantage of two of my for tickets. Exactly. And who's going to still paying for those other two? Right now, there's included in your in your right it. Do I still have to pay for them? They're going to give you the money back, like, I mean, it's and it's. And the other thing is, if you say you have to wear a mask, you know you're going to get some drunken idiot that's going to say, screw you, I'm not wearing a mask right hey, so we might get a lot of drunken idiot saying how you specree you drink down there. Well, I'm sure you would be able to take it off to do that, but then you would have to put it right. But okay, and these ushers that are making fifty an hour, right, are they going to get involved in that? They don't get involved with the people who come down the true I'm powerfully a showers from. I see the people who paid six hours where I got it from the you know, Ballpark, Frank Free Phillies game. Yeah, and and come down. Yeah, yeah, so, you know, now you got people not wearing a mask, and then you got people fighting because you know you're supposed to wear a mask whatever. Well, then you got this this social justice warriors out there in a mask police, and it's why your mask turns into a big mess. Like and worry about you. It's not worth it. It's not worth it. And and logistically, my thing has always been all those resources you're using to get a league up and running, those resources could be used elsewhere in the general public for them. We, you know, of course we all love sports. I mean we're doing a podcast about sports. We all want sports back in our life, but we don't need them to survive. It's a luxury. It's an escape from reality. Of unfortunately, that reality has intruded upon our escape from reality. The last four months have proved it. But yeah, we, yeah, we don't need we can survive without sports. So why are we using all those resources on something that we don't need to survive? Money, and, yeah, sports always, but we should be using those resources elsewhere in the general...

...population where they're needed, maybe to help people survived, and that's always been my my thing. Use those resources elsewhere we don't need them, so that we can watch guys play basketball, baseball or shoot a hockey puck. A suck for yourself. I think I need swear. Yeah, what the soccer with nobody in the stands aside the Union. Speaking of soccer, the Union one today? Yeah, hope, boy, but I mean it's our you and your coverage toward today. Yeah, like I've mentioned. Yeah, I've tuned into some European soccer games. You see me. Yes, it's I mean, I'm not a big soccer guy, but it's brutal like soccer and cut it for me not work golf now. Yeah, I mean, no, and I'm I'm neither nor fan on nose also, and I'm in I'm in no man's land. Yeah, I'm literally in no man's d you know what I watch? I watched like the universe, you know, black, black files, D classify. Yeah, I watched rob at right now, stry channels, Dream, I K I on tells vision. There's nothing to watch. This repeats of Yeah, you what. We watch so many old games from ten fifteen to twenty. Mean, yeah, we watched some, you know, Philly class, like the Phillies, hundred and eighty. Right, we all watch that. I popped a few. Yeah, but I mean, you know, like you said, you can only watch so much of that. Yeah, I mean you can't. You want that live sport, but sure, absolutely. Yeah, you can only do do so much with that before you've had it off and you got to find something else. Thanks the excitement of it. Yeah, it is the juice, you're right. I mean, yeah, like when do you played when you were a kid? Like, nothing really quite tempts, like is the juice of you playing as a kid? HMM, you don't sure. Nothing quite sure it's but watching your favorite team is as close as in absolutely. I mean, that's just, you know, I mean, like other than my kids getting born and being married. You know, make sure you get over that way. I got down at it. You know, nothing's really brought my life more joy than right then, playing sports and win in and, you know, and and also watching sports and enjoying, you know, like the Mike Schmidts of the world, the docks. You know the Bernie Parrans. That, yeah, you know the Clarke, he's that Iverson's. You know the Brian Dawkins. You know, I want to watch a game where I don't know the outcome correctly, I don't already know the alcome. Absolutely well, you get it this month. So, yeah, this is this is the the deadline. Get it. Why? Baseball scrimmages are next week. Yeah, not, not official, but they're scrimmages. So I think baseball kind of drop the drop the ball. There they are. They could have an open opera open window. They could have made so much money where they could have really cleaned up and they could have been almost a third of a third of the way through the season right now making tons of money being all the markets. And they they squabbled over pennies instead about dollars. Yeah, it was billionaires a millionaires arguing about right. That's never fun, and we're all like why? Yeah, it's like, you know why? The owners don't want to give it up. Yeah, at the end of the day. But then, you know, here's the thing. They knew they weren't going to put fans in the stand. So now you're talking no revenue for the stamp, for the for the stance. Then you got all the money they make on food and alcohol down there, which is a shit ton. Okay, okay, you're paying eleven dollars for a bud light orange, right. Eleven? Yeah, ten, at least without the eagles game, if it's a twenty five ouncer, is probably fourteen bright eagles game. Yeah, I paid. I paid twenty. I paid twenty six dollars for two beers and eagles game before. Yeah, I could have got a whole case. Yeah, absolutely, of decent beer. That's my point. Yeah, that's the point. Ridiculous, you know. I mean they're just crushing it with with how much money they make. So, you know, the only thing that they possibly could have helped out was the the ratings. Yeah, from watching Games actly. You know, they might have been able to milk some more, you know, money out of the networks for it, but maybe they wouldn't. Maybe they can't because they're already locked into the deals. And then, regardless of whether they're pulling a twenty two share instead of a normal, you know, eight share or ten share, I guess it really wouldn't matter. And now they're still going to do blackouts. Ha Ha, are you serious? Yeah, they can't. I saw how baseball, how they black it out. They wouldn't freaking Stitt the the vicel. Today they're still going to have blackouts. That's crazy that you have to. You know how the Philly said facebook live streams last year. I think it was for like yeah, yeah, Games. Okay, it'll be like that again. there. You won't be you can't find it on can't find that on TV. Yeah, that's ridiculous. It's insane. All right, we're gonna take a quick...

...break. When we come back we'll dip into some college sports news, because I think they're leading the way and other other leagues may be taken their q from them. Stick around insure phillycom. I mentioned we were going to dip into some college sports. I've seen that the Ivy League has at least postponed, if not outright cancer canceled. It canceled fall sports. While I think they're they may try push some sports into the spring. Football in the spring. Yeah, yeah, and also I'm not sure what conference it is. And there and the reason why I know this is a kid that I coached in high school cyoh. He was a senior last year he received a scholarship to or Sinus to play football out there. He's going to be a quarterback out at her sinus and his father as father's vern low and his son's name is Colo. They he's going to be playing at our sinus. He posted earlier this week that or Sinus, the conference that are sinus is in, is canceling fall sports, including football, this year. So that's two conferences that I know of for a fact that have canceled fall sports. And it came out today that the big ten conference is going to an all conference schedule, meaning there won't be any outside conference games for their sports teams. And if you're familiar with a notre dame football schedule, they are. You had the RINGOM. Absolutely they are big ten, heavy on the schedule for conference there for Football Games. Notre Dame football is an independent. There are other sports that they have are in conferences, but their football team isn't independent and so they they're eligible to play basically whoever they want and but most of the teams they play are out a still stink. Oh shut up, and so I don't know what that's going to do for Notre Dame football. I have a feeling on the only person in these two rooms that cares like in they little bit you like Endy, a little bit lit liarshit me. Okay, here you go. So what that? That remains to be seen. And but the big ten is going conference only on the scheduling. That's an interesting take on how to do things. Now. Granted, the Ivy League is the vision one, but they're not big ten, you know, the level of football or Sinus. I'm not even sure what level they are. Think they're dthree, dthree. Yeah, so we're talking to two conferences that are not merely the same level as the big ten is when it comes to football. So it'll be interesting to see how these other conferences around the country choose to go about their their fall football schedule. And I Harken back to the NCAA tournament and Seeaa tournament when Duke, I believe Duke, was the first team that Plato Tournament. They were the first, but they were the first big team. They were the first big team to pull out of the tournament and as soon as they did, everyone else boom boom, boom, boom boom. It was a domino effect all the teams and then I guess that if they're about ten teams pulled out. They just said we're the tournaments done this year. I've a feeling that's what's going to happen now. That was a billion dollar laws. Yeah, yeah, easily, easily, easily, billion dollars. And...

...that's just on gamble, all the money. They don't know about it. Well, that's that's the NCAA. That's not even gambling. Yeah, that's right there. And Yeah, it's true. So it's going to be interesting to see how these other big name conferences take their que from, you know, maybe the Ivy League conference or League, the Ivy League League or the big ten conference, and see how they go about planning their conference or their fall sports scheduling. The ACC is also just postponed their see every every season for fall. They're not starting to at least September one, when they usually probably start in August. So they're not starting to first. That's another conference and is back and it cuts down track team. They're they're going there. When did they usually start? She's supposed to be there to seventeen, but I didn't really get in on a date. But they're they're moving forward to what's in the falls across crunchy in the fall or cross countries is well, yeah, it's. It's like to start September like first, right out the gate. Okay, now, I did see got an email today from from Archbishop Ryan. They are going. They are going. Football reports August tent and I think everybody else reports August seventeen that it's sound like it was an in house decision because it's said the arch Archbishop Brian Review Board something or other has decided that they're they're up to up to standard as far as what they should be doing with the it's with the plan that to go ahead. It's still so early, though. It's still very early. Yes, I mean I could change, I I think. You know, we've talked about this before. Pro Sports. Are they happen or not? They'll probably start, but we all, I think, agree they are probably not going to finish. So the college sports are next to the line with the big viewers. And Right, I don't know. I mean college football, SEC football. That's almost as big as, if not bigger than, NFL in the south. So who was it that just tested thirty seven players? You Ain say you went to see with Carolina Ball, came back thirty seven players came back. Players and staff tested positive. So so you're seeing that all across the country. Yes, here's the thing, though. There are more people who are getting tested right. So, of course, if you're testing right, yeah, ten times the amount of people, you're going to get more people, right. Yeah. But the the the most important thing is people are yes, they are testing positive, but the thing is they're not getting that sick. Yeah, they're okay. Usually say there's not. They're not getting sick. And then you also now have we've learned from the morons, the governors that you know, stuck covid patients in with elderly in older age homes and basically, you know my words here, basically, you know, killed all them people. I mean, you know, it is what it is. You put covid patients that are older into an older age home, you know, it's a recipe for disaster. I mean it's I think that's why you're seeing people not suffering as much from the covid is because I think it's trending with the younger they it's the younger demographics that are getting it now and they're not they don't suffer as much as the alderly. Right, well, I mean it's the people who really are suffering. I mean, basically, eighty five percent of people can get it and not know it. Okay, get it, not now, and that's the that's the wild card, and I've been saying this for a long time. To write. The asymptomatic people are a wild card in all this, whether it be real life or sports. It's also happens at the flu too. Though. Hmm, you know what I mean. This also happens the flu. People get, you know, transmitted the flu like you, you know, will use you know, Wah, Wah, right, somebody sneezes. They sneeze in their hand right next to you. Know, they're walking into Wah. Why, they grabbed the door handle right boom. Ten seconds later, you didn't even see the person walking in the Wah Wah and your grab grabbing door handle, right boom, you got in your hand. Next thing you know, you know, your nose is running or you know whatever. It's early in the morning. Wipe your nose right, you wipe your nose high. You're there. Yep, and that's the same thing. Basically, you know what's happening. I mean the good part is obviously the people are you know, the people who do get it aren't getting sick, sick, sick. Where they're going on? Yeah, ventilators, and honestly, I think the ventilators were bad. I've I've heard that. I seen ventilators. They were you, I think they said that they were used to early in the in the disease process, right, that they should have waited literally blowing their lungs out. Yeah, all right. Well, back to the college sports, Standing Sports. Yeah, Real Eston, the yeah, real estate, the done. Yeah. So, I mean, I don't I don't see college football happening. I mean it's like, like we said, it's still early. College football starts...

...before NFL, though, so that's where their problem is. is they got to figure all this out before the NFL gets into their regular season. And I said already SEC football. That's huge. That's a religion in the cells. Yea. So those people going off? Yeah, so I think they're gonna they're going to do everything they can. Have SEC football, sure, but other compe, the other power power five conferences, I'm not sure it's going to happen. Maybe the Big Ten, but ACC the big twelve? I don't know. A Kivan. Yep, you got any inside information on Temple Football? What's going on with that? What conference are they in? The Ass American American Athletic Conference. So it's not even the AAA. See a a SE. Any any information on Temple football? Temples this there. They don't have anything figured out right now. No, yeah, like right now everything's online, classes, everything, like are you guys aren't even going back in person? Noah, no, not really, not at all. Well, I mean thanks. They said they're open to things changing, but right now everything's online. So fall you're going back on a lot. You're going just strike up strictly online. Yeah, I think I think Steven said that for Pharmacy School. Really, is that what he's doing? Farms? Yeah, he's in pharmacy school a temple. Why was, I think in tent'l? Now, was that Jen's kid? Albert? Yes, Albert, he's engineering engineering. Let's graduated in engineering. Yeah, he's an engineer. Yeah, what's the think intenant? That's probably out of for a minute. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, but yeah, I think Steven said pharmacies online to okay. Well, yeah, what Westchester cuts down? We're all states. Yeah, they're going. Are All gone. Yeah, you're going back it's what is it at Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving, but if you're not giving and then I go back, which makes no you are no sense, right, because you're way to think. They're worried about people traveling over Thanksgiving break. People don't travel over to summer like a right. People aren't traveling over Christmas and years at all. That bit right. Yeah, I don't understand it. So but yeah, this the whole the whole sports thing. With College, I don't know. I mean they're obviously they're big concerned is football because that's their big moneymaker in the fall. I don't think they, oh yeah, really care about, you know, the other fall sports, even though they're important to them. But yeah, they're going to do everything they can to try to get sec football to work because that SEC football is king and college. But I don't see it happening. I don't, especially with all these positive test to keep happening and just about every school that's testing. Right. But the thing is, are you positive in your are you really sick? Are You polosed? That's pause. I mean, I know, I know that's the thing. Like they're a symptomatic and all, but you don't want to transmitted to an older coach. Who could you know who might have health problems? And you know these players see their families still, so they might have older family men. Right. Well, see, the problem from my perspective with the whole thing is they should have take is should of quarantine the sick people, not the rest of the world. Yeah, but then you know what I mean, the sick. Quarantine the sick people, not the rest of them. Yeah, absolutely. And then there's in life would still have going on and everybody would have been going on their married way now. But the problem is the sick people are they they're on the honor system, you know, or they write they're really staying home. Right. It's kind of like, what do they call it? The shopping cart test, whether you are actually take your cart and put it in the cart car out or just pop it up on the sidewalk there, yeah, or leave it in a parking spot. Right. Oh, that's my pet pete that. I want to punch. Every person I ever see do that I can't stand. I really like, seriously, what, how lazy are you to just can't push a cart thirty feet to a stall and it turn around walk back to your car? I did it today. It's Sam's Club. You left it at the now I push the car around. It's not my style. You know, a way I've I've actually pushed a cart that wasn't even mine. I wasn't either. The two the two cars ones. Yeah, yeah, that or I'm not going to use a car, but seems sitting there anyway. And I just push it into the stall. I love. I love the people that walk home with them. Okay, I just have it at their house, like they'll just walk home with the shopping cart and I and when I push it in the stall, I always make sure to really jam it as just throw it in there so hard and just make an hope that it makes a lot of noise, just so people know that's what this is where supposed to go. Jackass. Yeah, all right, basketball. Yeah, we do have basketball coming up. Yeah, you see him beads a little Hasmat suity war today. Now, what did he do? I don't know. It wasn't like a full on has but it was one of them, you know, jest right, right, the like a you know, Hasmat suit type. Yeah, thank yeah, kind of like smitdie running out with the long ass hair. I don't know. But yeah,...

...he wore that to their flight today. So that was kind of a you know, and bead being m bead because he got crap from Kendrick Perkins because he came out and said he's a little worried about it. You know, if guys are going to be honest and stick to the bubble and all that and all the rules, and Kendrick Perkins said Stop Complaining, you know, just go play ball, you don't wear it, don't worry about and all that. But that to still play. Kendrick Perkins. Now that's okay. He's he's on you know them, TV debate shows, sports debate shows as a guest. Okay, I'M gonna say he's a scrub. He he's starting to bother he was funny for a little bit, but now he just gets annoying. He's bothering me. But yet sixers are on in route to Orlando. Now. Six is currently are to six seed. It'll move up is it's Ay. Think they're they have an easy a games. They should. They should go at least six into they'll probably go for and for the downs. A hundred percent right. Yeah, bends a hundred percent. Brett loves him. Bead shape, quote unquote. You know, I exactly. He better be like. He better looks. Did it look like you like that works felt. Excuse my French, but that fucker better be fucking diesel. Yeah, I mean, I mean, here's no excuse. I mean, honestly, there's no sire that dude not being he's shacked. Not Shack diesel, but diesel. He said that he's he was in the gym all all quarantine, working out, work on his game. So we'll see. I mean, you are getting paid, Dude. Yeah, I mean, and let's be for Real, if you're you know, like to laugh, you know, like like Babe Ruth. Right, what Babe Ruth did back in the day? Right now, I know DJ would would go, Oh, he was playing five. No, no, no, I like, I like baseball finals. Should have been playing in the WH IMCI. You know, I will say right, I will say babe is the goat. I will say so. The question is, what would babe actually have done if he was serious? You know, watched his weight. What do you have? Hit fucking one hundred homers and had thirty five hundred R Beiyes and he did it on hot dogs and the here. Yeah, back five chicks in at night. And what if, fact, and smoked the right six cigars? Well, and what if he didn't pitch the first several years of his career correct? Nine hundred, like Legit, nine hundred? Yeah, right, yeah, probably could have got nine hundred. You. I mean at my point, is checked out at seven fourteen. Was it five fourteen, seven and fourteen? But I mean like honestly, like, what would he have done if God so over, I mean, I don't there's their down. There's legends of him being still shift facing night before playing the day game, Him Drinking Beers and and in the yeah, and the clubhouse. Yeah, Drinking Beers during the debt, during the game, Yep, and eating twelve fifteen hot dogs. Yep. So I mean like, like honestly, Christ, what would what would have you really have done? He he had today's nutrition, he'd probably, oh, today's nutrition. He had that woultrician fall in the short fences. I mean, would be over a thousand, would he? Would he? Would he be hitting eighty five homers a year? Yeah, I'm honest. I'm not even like them blowing like bullshits up my quire record. Or was it so who had the renderm Boire? It's bonds. Will bonds has no set on single season record. Yeah, bonds bounce at seventy three. Yeah, Oh, wasn't mcguire had it? Will he wire? He bonds broke McGuire single season. Seventy. YEA, they seventy right, seventy, because he beat yeah, Sosa R that was that summer. Who had sixty six? Ninety eight? Yeah, yeah, so that's sixty six. That honestly says well, back by the absolutely. Oh, yeah, doubt. They said that the Wal Mall Absolutely, because baseball was dead. If they're ninety four. Yeah, the one saving grace about that was, and I used to say this, was the phillies were we're still the nationally chance, because now we're got spelled to cancel. Yeah, so they were nationally chancing ninety three and got to continue that. You want to last begin to strike. Member eighty one. MMM, phillies came out pretty good and then they you know, basically it was like the Phillies were Dallas Greens whipping boy. Yeah, and they just didn't respond no more. Right. You know, that split the season. Yeah, because then won the first had won the first half of the expose. Won The second half, right, and then we lost. I guess we lost the expose. I believe that's what it was. And I've heard several counts that the eighty one team was better than the eighty team. Oh, yeah, which, yeah, kind of hard to believe because that eighty team was pretty special. I mean everybody, I mean honestly, I think everyone was back. Yeah, but I mean like a couple of pictures. Yeah, they might be. They probably had a couple more from Martie Bistrom. Ha had a like a little elmo thing and Dallas screen was pissed out them and put him...

...that back down there. Bala, like there was all these little you know, Dallas was a button pusher. Oh, yeah, I mean and he, he he. He's old school to the to the bone. Yeah, and he didn't put up on anything. If we're if we're doing a little new phillies talk here after that's sixers less show we had. I said Rollins overallly and if I remember the comments, Oh yeah, someone in the room was not happy about that. Man, though they weren't. That was me. Look, I love Allie, my favorite philly ever, but rollins just has a better numbers. I think he's a better player. Yeah, he yeah, does the other better numbers? Yeah, yeah, it. I'll say this. It's a shame. It's a shame because if only stayed healthy, he's better. Yeah, if he's if a last stayed healthy the land the three four years with the knees, he's a hall of Famer. Yeah, I mean he was. No doubt he might have been the best second basement in the game for about a two to three or straight. Jimmer can no, Cano was connent on that with the Yankees. Use really good. Yeah. Well, any lefthander can hit, you know, three hundred, and I mean Shit and Yankee Stadium. Yeah, I mean, but at the same time rollins and jeter were going back at it. Yeah, for best short side. And this might be a hot take, but I think if rollins was was on the Yankees, he's a first ballot hall of Famer because he gets way more publicity, way more, you know, eyes on them. Yeah, but he don't have three thousand heads. I mean some of else, some of the stuff he don't have. He didn't have the hustle and that's that's where that's might be. Thing about Jimmy Rollins, and that's the thing about for me, great film thing about all these alder and robs. Oddly played every game like it was a seventh game world world series, Yep, and he had to be safe or we were going to all these mentality was he walked off to every bat. He's like, I'm hitting the shout of his ball. Yeah, you're not not striking me out, like and violence. All fell in love with violins. Had had all the talent. He was a great player, but he didn't. He didn't have if he didn't bust it every play the way that eat. Like bry said today with when we were talking about vic he relied on his talent. I think rollins was the same thing. I think he relied on his talents more than yeah, working to get better. Right. I know you can't, you know, relate to this, but that's why it pisses me off. And I hear people like would used to like Boo Schmidt. You know, they like it doesn't look like he's trying. He was so goddamn good that it just, you know, it didn't look like he was trying, but the guy, you know, yeah, you know, that's the guys. You know. I laughed. I seen this thing on on facebook. I was like, Brett or Schmidt. Are You fucking kidding? George, George, George Bright. Yeah, like, yeah, he's he was a great play I know, great hitter. I know George the great hair, but Schmidt had him defensively all day. M's the greatest start basement here and it's not even a question. It's like done, like done, you know, and I'm getting these it like, you know, I'm looking at these things in this one clown on from Atlanti said something like, you know, about Oh Philadelphia and even like ghastly and like, you know, he's just having these like, you know, wordy words, and I just like put the clown. I just put the clown and the Boji on. I'm like, come on, dude, like you're going to like chipper was a great player, but he's got same shipper was better. Well, like he was. Basically try to throw it in there. I'm like, how many mvps to chipper half right, did he have one? Don't to get any at any that he had. Now Schmidt had three and you know, pisses me off. The one Dale Murphy Stall from him, Oh, from Ah Schmidt. Yeah, and a want he stall. How many Schmick it right, great, yeah, yeah, he's still he's dead and he got it an he was the MVP to watch. You got a gold globe almost every year. Right, yeah, I think he had ten. Yeah, it's he had a silver slugger at all that. I don't know. They started doing as that even around career. Yeah, like, I mean he he won. He won the MVP eighty six and he was done in eighty nine. Right, Oh, wow. So, I mean he was still a great player. His problem was like he could have went and dhed for three years and hit another seventy five home arns at least. You know what I mean. But he, you know, he was like, I'm not, I'm not Mike Schmidt. No more. Right. He didn't want to accept, you know, eighty percent of Mike Schmidt. He wanted to be a hundred percent of Mike Schmidt or he was not going to be Mike Schmidt. The DJ. Do you know? He was actually voted in, voted in by the fans. He retired what may, right, deep May. Yes, it was when they came back from from scos and Fran San Diego retired in the middle of the he retired before the middle of the season. He retired in May. They still voted him in as the starter for an all start for the All Star game. Still to them in in eighty nine. He came...

...in his uniform, EA, to play. He came in his uniform, though it didn't place that. That's the first time that's ever happened. Yeah, first and only. That's not yea. He was a great players, no doubt, and I always said that Brooks Robinson probably had him defensively, but schmiddy had them offensively, and so much so, so much so. And he was still a great defensive player. And then he daddy. The edge that Brooks has defensively is not even close. Didn't even come close to overmatching anything that Schmidt had offensively. Now I don't even. I don't even know if Brooks Robinson hit two hundred home runs. I don't know his. I know he didn't have not even close. Didn't that power back and cleaner? Right? Yes, yeah, if you ever get this, if you ever watch a highlight film of him, some of the plays he makes it at third base are just incredible. Him going to his right. Yeah, he did a line. He he would, he would, he would feel the ball. That was fair, but he fieled it. It five feet in foul territory, laid out on his belly. Get up and throw the guy out. It's just no human being should be able to do that. But here's the thing, though, if he, if he did that today, he wouldn't be able to throw them out. You wouldn't be able to throw the guy. There's a two. First. Yeah, yeah, he wouldn't be able to throw him out today. Now I agree with that. So, so rowlins over early as player. I can't give it up. I don't know, man, I can't all these. My literally, at least my second favorite Philly, even though, like I would love to put lefty as to right Schmidy. I mean my from what I saw. I mean, I know wish the Ashburn was a great player. Richard Ashburn was a hell of the center feeler and never got his due because you had like Duke snyders. He played in the area, the three Great Center fielders who happen to play in New York was really maze round. Yeah, right, so I mean Snyder, Willie mays and Mickey Mantle, or center field six. Huh, that's Uh Huh. And and they weren't playing in Cleveland or either. They were in New York to media market of the world. Mark that was biggest marketing the that was literally a baseball meca and it's, yeah, it really is, stack to back. Still is. Yeah, it's still today, but I mean like it was New York and everybody else. And and Richie was a hell of a player. Yeah, hell of yeah, he he was a he was a great defensive player and you know, he hit for average. He didn't hit for power. Diary. He was a single shitter with the occasional double, maybe a triple. He's not. And I think he had twenty nine home runs. Many, not many, that man. He's not a whole fame. Yeah, him and Schmidt went in the same year. He really. Yeah, yeah, but I don't know if that is when layer though. Okay, I when he was not any went into a player. Are you sure? Oh, yeah, I have a t shirt. Twenty nine career home one hundred percent. Yes, because, yeah, now, you know what before he's right in, he's right. He went in. He had the highest batting average of anybody not in the hall thing. Yeah, yeah, he yeah, he was. It was a player and I think he took think he was a three huweight lifetime header he was a great defensive plant. Or I'm not. He is. No, he'sn't. All he could catch anything. He didn't have the strongest arm, but he could get under any five balls just about. I mean now, I never saw him play. I'm just going by what I've what I've heard and what I've read and what I've seen on right. Pretty sure. I mean the problem is you got got like two guys who hit over five. Like two guys hit over five hundred homers and Duke Snyder Hit, Mickey Mann threes, right. Duke Sneyder hit like three hundred and seventy five. But almost people was honor. Yeah, homers. Yeah, so you got you know, you got Mickey who hit five hundred and thirty six, and then Willie, who will he was six, he was over six hundred. Yeah, who hit sex. So you know, as I say, chick state the long ball. So and so did the so did the media. How many years did did Willie Miss, because he played in the Negro League's how many home runs but he have hit? I see would have been over seven hundred, maybe over seven hundred and fifty. Yeah, I'm was curious. I saw this thing about Satchel page yeah, right. I poached a couple things about maybe that's what it was, and I looked into his stuff and I'm like God, Damn, that guy page pitched to fifty nine years old. That Guy Pitch for forty fucking years. Wait, forty years? Fifty nine? Yeah, the major's. Yeah, he was an all star in his mid s for the Cleveland Indians. He he won world series in forty eight with Cleveland. has like a forty five year old dude. That was an all star. Yep, she's. Yeah, he was an all star his S, like he was an all star three years in a row. His stay said had like twelve pitches. Yeah, his last...

...game and he played. Isn't he talked about more because it was played so long, so long ago. It was a long time ago. I've heard of them, I mean I've heard me like, there's guys like chunk of his career, big chunk of his career, was in the the egro leagues. Right, what do you call it? He his last game that he pitched. I think he was fifty nine years old. Yeah, I know he was in his S. maybe not fifty nine, but he was in his s and he pitched a shutout. Yes, now, not a complete game, but he pitched the shut out. He pitched three or four innings, whatever, and he pitched a shutout. He through scoreless Ennis. Yeah, he was a phenomenal player and it's a you're right, it's a shame he doesn't get the recognition that he's taken on baseball real quick. Why haven't they paid real Muda yet? May gotta happen. I's Harper. Yeah, I loved it. Tack, I don't know what, and this just are they are? They escape has change from when we left and came shot. Bullshite it, Dude. I think they're nervous about the longevity of a catcher's career. It's all matter back end of this contract. That's true. So you know it's going to happen. And our our catcher feeding system is not great. So you gotta lock this Dude Up. You've got behind him as Andrew Nap on stinks. Yeah, out loud, he's guaranteed out. He's a guaranteed out every time he backs out. Well, I think at least twice last year when we were watching, he came up in a ground and he hit a home right. You were like you were just counting the strikes. We were in strike. Yeah, we were in and I say looked at him like what are you gonna say? That we are still stinks. I we were at a national we read are you are at a national's game in DC and he came up the bat as a pinch it. I was like, Oh, here comes out number two or three, whatever it was, and the beginning and he hit up and he hit a bomb. I was like all right, good job, but like yeah, thanks one time. He's but it stinks. The thing that I think you have to keep in the back of your mind about catchers these days is there they're back in the day, if if you got a catcher to fifty at well, all right, not that, yeah, but if you got a catcher to play past thirty one, thirty two years of age, not, not a lot of guys did back in the day. Bobby, yeah, borrow, but help bobb the Warner. How how productive we are? They but I think today, with the advancement in in medical technology, you can get and another three. They traded. They trade it for so go. Yeah, come on, you traded your best pitching, sure, and best catcher in the system, the form system. You gotta go lock them off. That that's Alfoul. Oh, that that's from the CAL HAMMILL's deal. Yeah, which the kids, the kid will play now. Far I wasn't bad. Yeah, I mean a little. He was getting better defensively and you to heat threw a lot of guys out. Yeah, but I still don't it's still I still don't understand why they haven't given him his money. Just give them a hundred, Fifty Mil for seventy eight years. He you don't have to sign him at long you don't think you can get him before or five year deal? I think so. Yeah, yeah, I'd be fine with that too, just as you come out when any details or what he wants yet you get you give him. You give him five years and a hunter. I hope he would take he signed. I would hope he think that. I mean, that's and enough guaranteed to and the phillies have to push into the luxury tax. You know, it's your big boy pants on right. Is that middleton or is that Clintech Middleton? Middleton? Body said that he, Middleton, will do it. It just said. You know, here's the thing. They need more pitching. Oh, yeah, they need more pitch. If this kid, Spencer, Howards the deal. Then that's a sweet one. Two, three, no, no, wheeler, and him that's a sweet one. Through three, y. They don't mean you're I mean that kid throws a hunter and like no effort. Right, it's not. He's not. You know. You know, Americ in a day we see kids hot trying to hop it. You know, when they throw this kids throwing a buck and takes through three hop steps to throw it. Right, he's throwing a bucket. It's got. They just straight at the this year and the free throws guests. Yeah, the key's only nineteen. Yeah, just at a high school there's like N S, don't blows on thres. Ninety Five, Ninety Eight, oh, he not a high school? Yeah, he's that kids the deal. Yeah, I mean they don't use. They compared them the verlanders. Yes, they did. If he's, if he's Verlander, I'm all for you. Should have so my smile when I heard, when I watch them Il tonight on that, I was like, Puh, yeah, imagine being a sophomore in high school and this kids on the mound and he's throwing ninety five. Yeah, and you got to come up in coach. What the Fu get. You got a man, a second or third and there's two outs in here down like that bench warmer scene when he goes up to the UMPIRES, like he tell him to slow it down a little. Yeah, it's a little. I just can't imagine being I mean they just put your bat out and just kind of try to botto just that. That's what I would yeah, right, like he's just trying to buy, I mean just trying to get it. And when,...

Justin Hayward came up with the braves, he came straight out of high school, I think he think he played like two months in the minors and he came up right like think the summer after high school or maybe the next year, and I just I would watch him at Bat and I you know, between his swing and the power that he had behind his swing, heyward, or with the rails and heyward, yeah, Jason heard or Jason Hey will. Yeah, I remember his debut. Yeah, how're you doing? Runs? Oh my God, this kid. I can't imagine him last year in high school just killing it. But Man, Picture Mike Driller and I'm bat and His light elder you and the same thing. Are Three right and and Bryce Harper. Yeah, I can't imagine what those guys with an aluminum bat in their hands swinging at an eighty mile an hour fastball that's on a straight line, didn't try out hit like five hundred and twenty is senior, something something like that. Well, Harper had a over a five year footer at sixteen. Yeah, I don't know if that was wood or what. That was a little I was down in a Tampa right and chropic kind of field or something, because that's what put them on the Sports Ol Straight. Yeah, I remember that. Yeah, that was nuts. Remember reading the Article About Ryan Howard. He actually played in his high school marching band for two years and then he quit to concentrate on baseball. There was a there was a building beyond the fence of the high school field that he played on and they had a Marcasian on the on the building of how far it was from home plate and he hit it above that sign and it was like four hundred twelve feet. Was the Demarcasian or something like that, and he was in high school when he did. He hit it about the building on that I mean about the sign on that building, and I I don't know what year he was in high school, but I read that I was like, Dan, that's pretty damn it. Price. Did you put the one the one thing I saw on facebook about Schmidt hitting the ball at the Houston Astrodome? I don't know if I did. And it was it was going up. It wasn't a pop up, but like he crushed it. Oh, yeah, it was still going up and hit. Hit. Yeah, they credited him with a single. Yeah, with something dead, but it was it wasn't a pop up. That going right, right, like he totally Annihili. Yeah, ball, yes, and it was going up. Yeah, I do remember saying something about that. God knows how far that would have gone. Well, I mean they, I mean they said basically that, you know, they think man'll hit a six hundred foot home run. Ruth put one out at Forbes field. Yep, and what's his name deck and no one ever put one out of Forbes field. Take care on hit the that was Dan. That will start. That wasn't Detroit. That was one of his last three home runs. That was ruth putting one out of folks wow, when I couldn't even run. I remember in Grade School on the ninety foot field behind you. Nod, I think it was kyle in like seventh three grade hit one into the woods and we were all like holy crap, I'll what's his name? Stevens? Yeah, east wait where. He smoked one into the woods on the ninety foot field behind you. Nod. He hit one into the woods in the air. He poked one at Somerton. Did he get one there? To what he put on Sawstable? Yeah, can I remember. Used to crush the ball and we were all a damn like nice, that's grown man strength right there. Yeah, he was a good ball player. speedings watching him play and that don't. Gone back to what you were saying about most joyful things in life. Wanted to one of the things that I grew took a lot of joy out of life was watching my kids play sports. I enjoyed watching my kids play sports so much and and it's wasn't that I was living vicarishly through them. I just purely enjoyed watching them play sports and to watch how much fun they would have playing. Absolutely it was. It was, it really, it really gave me a lot of joy to watch that. There's our sentimental yeah, time for this. Yeah, we get all the boxes and see it and the two major differences between my two sons was this one would avoid getting dirty at all cost and, and I hate it, perfect, the perfect pants. My mom never had to do watch Andrew, Dr Andrews soon as he got on first base, he couldn't wait to slide in the second to get dirty. He loved getting dire. I hear sliding the around. You're saying that you want to laugh. Hafan used to be so pissed because aunt would go through about four pairs of Shit, pit through about four pairs of pants in a season. He's a season. Oh yeah, because he's he's always slide. Yeah, and the second or third, you know, funny. And then that a kid brought Brian Yevez. They would do same thing. He would always be like, I gotta get you, like extra pairs is for them, okay, b yeah, because he were like, you know, he'd have like his whole neat cap hanging out for hanging out. You know.

Yeah, you like laughing about it. Yep, yeah, it was a good ball player. To last thing before we check out. When when these guys were playing together, like I think it was still it wasn't t ball, but it was a pitch machine league and before the game. You know, we would have a warm up and and aunt would be throwing the ball and you know they'd only be from here to that wall out there away from each other. Pop and aunt is way Brown. Baby. I'm like, Dude, you just started throwing the ball. Relax, I don't throw your arm out. Yeah, he's like this. This was I think this was his exact quote. My Dad told me, if I'm going to throw the ball, throw at hard. Okay, I get it, and he's corrected. That's a hundred percent sure on the first warm yeah, relax, I know, I you know, it's so funny because at that is that is a hundred percent true, because that's what I would tell him. I'm like, if you're gonna throw, throw it hard, yeah, especially if he catched. Yeah, I had a stifle my laugh when he said, Oh yeah, he was that serious. Yeah, no, he was that yes, that was guy. No smile and double throw hard. Yeah, I said, if I'm going to throw it, throw it hard. I said, okay, I get it, I get it, I dig but wait through the first twenty throws out, a few throzen, before you start throwing it through his glove. Get the old wheel Barrow move a little bit. I can. I have to write. You know, dealt with. I turned around. I just start to crack it out. Pause, killing me already, sometimes literally. And what you mean? Yeah, don't. Yeah, yeah, like fro, twenty warm ups and then start throwing right, throwing the BB right. All right, people, that's another addition. And all the week of your sandy food, but Santa Boot. First podcast we even talked about the flyers. Now, no, NHL, they just came up with they just agreed on a plane. Now they're trying to find the Hube city. O, good cities, good work out. So we can do that now, and that might be the only one that could actually start and finish. Hmm, I feel like hockey could contain that. Will say, yeah, will see though. Yeah, they're all split, they're all you know, they're all swap and spit. Yeah, like I said last week, well, do it baseball. You can't spit on the field, you see, not there. Something can't what. Yeah, you know, let's say you're a hundred feet away. Each can't shoot tobacco, no gum, no seeds. You can't spit, not because you know, got right. Yeah, wait, wait here, ready, I'm just going to do it the pictures. I don't know. They've that right. They have. They can't do that on the mount every yeah, even football players, every every quarterback does it. Yeah, that they are. I don't know that they might. I mean they all do it every night, every team that has a ball other than soccer, but even locker guys. You'll see them. Yeah, you'll see all that, especially the goal. You know what I mean. They all touched. They are all touching their their hands that are tongue. Yep, every one of them. Well, I mean not hockey. Again. This is all one big huge question mark at the first as to how the first week of each league you'll like see how I all right, how they're going to handle this. So Nice. See, I I have, like I said, I have not been covering. Yeah, like sports are l hardy. So no spitting, no, no, see, no gumshoe seeds, no tobacco, no spitting anything that you I guess spell. Yeah, how's that going to go? It's like a Fart. That's the basic in church. It's like a baseball traditions. Here's the holly. Yeah, I don't know. You got guys it like. Can't you know? They can't play without right exactly. It's one point. They can't, you know, little pitch between it. You know. Yeah, she can gum or, you know, even bubble gum or seeds. I mean it's not. Yep, I'll see. Blay. Are you off the air to Keyvan Bust us? Oh, he's letting those guys in. That's our that's our big K now do yep. All Right, folks, now we gotta go.
